A stranger has come to the aid of a thirsty teenager who was denied a glass of tap water a Folkestone Burger King. The boy asked for a free drink during one of the hottest days of the year so far, another customer stepped in to pay when staff refused. Also in today's podcast, South East Water have announced a hosepipe ban will come into force for most of Kent later this month. The restrictions come after hundreds of households were left without water or with low pressure this week. A three-year-old girl has been attacked by a dog in Ashford prompting calls for the animal to be taken away. The child was with her mother when she was pinned to the ground and had chucks of her hair pulled out. A former Eurovison contestant from Tonbridge speaks about how a new treatment for Cystic Fibrosis has allowed her to have a baby. Bianca Nicholas has joined a campaign to make sure everyone has access to the life-changing drug. And in sport,  the Ashes are underway at Edgbaston with Kent's Zak Crawley opening the batting for England. There's T20 Blast action as well with the Spitfires travelling to Lords to take on Middlesex

Og svo minnist ég líka Jeff beck lítillega en hann lést í vikunni, einn mesti gítarleikari sögunnar. It was in 1999 when the Icelandic entry "All out of luck"  was performed by Selma and almost won as she came second in the the Eurovision Song Contest in Israel. Some six years on she returned to the contest with the song "If I had your love".  Fridrik Omar was also part of this very interview and it was a very funny moment for all of the interviewers. Fridrik was the male part in the duo Euroband which represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrad's Beogradska reaching Number 14 with the song "This is my Life". Fridrik also took part at the Iceland National as a solo act in 2019 with the song " "Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?" coming second to Hatari who then went onto represent Iceland at Eurovision in Tel Aviv. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022  was held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. This was the second time that Armenia hosts the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the first being in 2011 from the same venue. Sixteen countries participated in the contest with The United Kingdom returned after a sixteen-year absence, while Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany and Russia took a break. Getter Jaani (Estonia 2011), WRS (Romani 2022), Selma (Iceland 1999 and 2005), Fridrik Omar of Euroband (Iceland 2008) and Chiara (Malta 1998, 2005 and 2009) performed at the event. JP, Marc and Salman were on location and conducted interviews with all the artists which you will hear during the following weeks. This week the first interview from the event will be with Getter Jaani who represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Rockefeller Street" which came 24th in the Grand Final from Duesseldorf's Esprit Arena. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022   Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022:  The 20th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to take place on 11 December 2022 following the victory of Armenia in the 2021 edition with Malena and the song "Qami Qami". The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022  will be held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. This will be the second time that Armenia hosts the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the first being in 2011 from the same venue. Sixteen countries will participate in the contest with The United Kingdom returning after a sixteen-year absence, while Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany and Russia will not take part. Participating countries are: Albania, Armenia, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, The Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. All countries have selected their entry to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Radio International will get the fans in the mood introducing the songs to the audience but also playing some of the highlights of the previous editions of the contest. The Home Composed Song Contest 2022:  The annual music competition for non-professional musicians took place in earlier on in October and November with the public casting their vote as well as an international Jury and participating members voted too. The Home Composed Song Contest is in its 31st year, this is a competition for Eurovision fans who write, perform and produce their own music, who enter their own original song composition (audio only) and then also take part as a jury, to help choose the winning song. This year there are 24 songs from 13 different European countries, and you can listen to the songs, and read the lyrics and bios  on the official website. Each of the contestants also takes part as a jury, along with four guest juries and a public vote. Each vote contributes one of of 29 equal rounds of voting. The public vote commences on 13 October and closes on 31 October. Contestants and members of the public can take part in the public vote, casting a vote for as many songs as they like, once a day until the closing date. The Radio International Team will form one Jury and you will be able to hear the songs also during the weekly editions of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience. It's that time of the year again, where acts from all over the continent - and elsewhere in some cases - compete in Eurovison. The competition always gets political but this time around there's a clear favourite that everyone can get on board with, Ukraine.Now, the UK hasn't got the best track record in the competition. Despite last year's entry James Newman's best efforts, we finished dead last and with no points. But, could this year be different?
