Go! Loser Ranger!" gefällt Julian richtig gut. Wieso aber beide schon einmal ihre Aluhüte für den zukünftigen 7G-Ausbau zusammenbasteln, kann nur "Train to the End of the World" beantworten...
We fantasy fiction fan(atics) get pretty passionate about what we like... and what we don't. And some topics seem to be more inflammatory than others. Jim shares nine words/phrases that can be the secret sauce if you want to get a rise out of the fantasy fiction lovers in your family, friend circle, or local watering hole. Go on, give it a try - but perhaps know where your exits are first. Please pardon the occasional audio glitch - I've started recently having an issue with my recording software (Streamyard), and I'm troubleshooting with them on the problem. It's only slightly an issue (AFTER editing!). #fantasy #fandom #wheeloftime #Malazan #grimdark #ASOIAF #GameOfThrones #Discworld #SFF #FantasyFiction #Mbotf #booktube #booktuber #booktubers We hope you'll Like and Subscribe! The Fantasy Fan Magazine Presents: Writings of Clark Ashton Smith Clark Ashton Smith (1893 - 1961) Collected here are all of Clark Aston Smith's writings he submitted to The Fantasy Fan Magazine. The Fantasy Fan Magazine was a periodical dedicated to people professing their love of and celebrating fantasy and weird fiction. In addition to the opinion pieces and non-fiction articles, The Fantasy Fan also included many short stories and poems by some of the authors it celebrated such as H. P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard and Clark Ashton Smith, a personal favorite of editor Charles D. Hornig. Smith contributed quite a variety of stories, poems and articles to The Fantasy Fan over its two-year tenure. From the weird and creepy journeys to unknown worlds of "The Kingdom of the Worm" and "The Primal City" to the strange and haunting poetry of "A Dream of the Abyss" and "Necromancy" to the insightful essays on M. R. James and fantastic fiction in general, Smith shows the breadth of his writing skill within the pages of this sadly short-lived 'zine.

Sword and sorcery fans should enjoy this second episode of our second season, Gods of the North (also known as The Frost Giant's Daughter and other similar titles). It's a tale of savage warriors and mystical beings by Robert E. Howard, a true pioneer of the genre, in whose fertile imagination the iconic character of Conan the Cimmerian was famously forged. Interestingly, Conan was the main protagonist when the story was originally written, but Howard decided to replace him with the character of Amra of Akbitana after it was rejected for publication by the editor of Weird Tales. Few people familiar with Conan would be fooled by the change, however, and he was reinserted in a later version of the piece by L. Sprague de Camp. Since then, the Amra version of the story has been largely forgotten, so in the spirit of our podcast, it this one that we have chosen to present. It was originally published in The Fantasy Fan in March 1934 and was heavily inspired by Viking culture and two stories from Greek mythology. Now it's high time we began, by Crom, so take up your favourite sword or axe and prepare to journey to the frozen wastes of Nordheim.

We're venturing into the world of fantasy via a short story called Gods of the North by Robert E Howard. It's a tale of a fierce warrior's encounter with the icy daughter of a God after standing as the lone, victorious warrior on a bloody battlefield. Originally published in March 1934 in "The Fantasy Fan", then reprinted in Fantastic Universe December 1956. Robert E Howard is best known as being the author and creator of the fantastica tales of Conan the Barbarian, and this story is a glimpse into other times in this world.
