We dug into the chaos that is being a SAHM to 4 kiddos that close in age, while building her business. She speculates why she feels less mom guilt than other moms might. We also discuss the double standard of the praise a dad receives when parenting vs the praise a mom receives for the same parenting. The conversation is easy and funny, but we dig into how tough it is to be in the trenches with young kids close in age. We’re flipping the script today and I’m putting Lindsey Hein in the hot seat! Lindsey is a super speedy runner (she holds a 3:13 marathon PR and ran a 1:32 at the 500 Festival Mini Half Marathon a few weeks ago), a mom of three boys (Marshall, Louis, and Russell), and the host of the podcast I’ll Have Another with Lindsey Hein. (Lindsey’s podcast was the first one I ever listened to, and I was a guest on her show back in November!) This episode gets into everything, from the super personal stuff (like Lindsey’s decision to have a preventative double mastectomy, and her two miscarriages before having her first baby), to running (Lindsey was on the cover of Women’s Running magazine in 2014!), coaching, surviving life in a house of four dudes and a dog, and how she met her super sassy husband, Glenn. After three babies, a major surgery, and a pretty major injury, Lindsey has declared this “The Year of Lindsey!” Listen in to hear what that entails! Doug Smith and Laura Armstrong eschew the bad of 2016 and focus on the good ― sports! ― while reviewing the year in the final episode before a month-long break. The I’ll Have Another co-hosts pick their beer of the year, their favourite stories in hockey, basketball, soccer and baseball as well as get in a few more praises and jabs with their most beloved cheers and jeers of the last 12 months. Plus, a report card for Toronto’s five main franchises: TFC, the Raptors, the Blue Jays, the Maple Leafs and the Argos. All in all, the verdict is in: Smith and Armstrong agree 2016 was the best year in Toronto sports history. Who gets the honour of being named the city’s team of the year? You’ll have to listen to find out. But who’s the real winner of this successful sports season in The Six? The fans, of course.

After sitting in a cold press box Saturday night watching Toronto FC lose to Seattle Sounders on penalties, Doug Smith and Laura Armstrong have much to dissect on this week’s I’ll Have Another. Some stalwart opinions prevail as the co-hosts look back on the Reds coming just short of the championship: the grassroots movement that is TFC fandom is some of the best in the city and no; a game of that magnitude should not be decided on penalties. Smith even has some suggestion for how to change it. Also on tap: MacKinnon Brothers’ Crosscut Canadian Ale, jumping in on the debate about which of Canada’s athletes should win the Lou Marsh award with an out-of-the-box suggestion and — no surprise here — slagging the upcoming World Juniors.

Laura Armstrong told you Toronto FC was going to Major League Soccer’s cup final and she’s happy remind co-host Doug Smith of that in this week’s I’ll Have Another. Well, maybe she waivered during the Reds rollercoaster season. But that’s beside the point; TFC will play for the championship Saturday and between talk of forward Jozy Altidore, Seattle Sounders and the possibility of a parade, it’s kind of a big deal on this week’s episode. After a week’s hiatus, Smith and Armstrong also discuss the movement – or lack thereof – by the Blue Jays and whether or not the fact that the Toronto Raptors can’t seem to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers is cause for concern. With Doug Smith off to the games early next month, he and co-host Laura Armstrong dissect Canada’s chances in Brazil, looking at predictions from Sports Illustrated and Infostrada. It looks like it’s going to be a game full of girl power for the Canucks, but can audiences and media alike get past the litany of worrying headlines out of Brazil to focus on the athletes? Plus, the two touch on Jose Bautista’s return to the Blue Jays after injury and the generation gap once again runs rampant when it comes to the Toronto Star’s own odd couple.

If there’s anything that irks Smith more than Blue Jays fans worrying about future trades midway through the season ― like the frenzy of talk about Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista after Smoak’s new deal was announced this weekend ― it’s people fiddling with O Canada. He’s got a better idea for how and when Canada’s national anthem should be played. Plus, Smith and Armstrong get a head start on previewing the Rio Olympic, talking the long list of athletes who have already dropped out and looking at Canada’s women’s soccer team’s chance at securing back-to-back podiums.

Co-hosts Doug Smith and Laura Armstrong, along with producer Paul Watson, recap the holiday that included the beginning of NBA free agency — and a momentous signing in the Toronto Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan — 19 innings of Blue Jays and the European Championship quarter-finals. Plus, they continue their series of Mt. Rushmore debates, this time veering away from sports in favour of another favourite summertime activity: beer drinking.

Co-hosts Doug Smith and Laura Armstrong question who will be Toronto’s newest athletes after the NBA and NHL drafts; discuss the shambles that are this summer’s Rio Olympics, before the event has even kicked off; and pay homage to LeBron James for his NBA Finals win with the Cleveland Cavaliers, a victory that earns him a spot on basketball’s Mount Rushmore. Producer Paul Watson even chimes in for his first time on the show, wondering what kind of etiquette is required of professional athletes outside the stadium.

The Kentucky Derby is not only the most prestigious race in the world but also one of the more challenging for its competitiors. Three-year-olds going farther than they ever have (1 1/4 miles) in front of more people in a race that everyone wants to win has a way of taking a special kind of horse to perform well. The Thomas Herding Technique helps identify which horses are up to the task (and just as important to Brisnet.com & TwinSpires.com players, which aren't). Founded by Kerry Thomas and supported by Pete Denk, THT has helped identify recent Kentucky Derby winners Animal Kingdom, I'll Have Another, and Orb while also pointing to last year's winner, California Chrome, as a key contender (THT's top pick, Danza, finished third). THT is also a full-service bloodstock agency. Visit its site to learn more about its services & read former Derby analysis.

With a big time prize fight and horse race slated for the weekend, who says one can only bet on baseball and basketball this time of year?  First, Pregame Pro Vegas Runner drops in on Host Gill Alexander and, let's just say, the two don't tend to script things.  From Electric Daisy to Twitter pics to nail appointments for men, VR and Gill eventually get around to discussing the merits of betting on the Pacquiao/Bradley fight and where the value might lie within, as well as engaging in a free flow on interleague baseball and the NBA Playoffs.  Then, in their continuing series, Pregame Pro Marco D'Angelo and Pro Football Weekly's Mike Wilkening break down Saturday's Belmont Stakes with an eye toward whether or not I'll Have Another can pull of horse racing's 12th Triple Crown, on Thursday's Betting Dork (June 7, 2012).
