This episode is about all things Motherhood. First, Catt takes us down memory lane as her son Arion turns 18! Yes, she's all up in her feelings as you can imagine. Today, Catt details that special season with two small children, hosting a live morning tv show, and surviving a very demanding, rather grueling time in her life. Then, author Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt drops by to tell us all about her new book Good Night, Sister. In her fifth literary offering we hear about the special bond between her and her sister Christina and why family is always at the heart of everything she does. Now mom to two girls, Eloise and Lyla, Katherine opens up about the reality of motherhood and all of its gifts and all of its challenges. She talks about why creating special dedicated time with her husband, actor Chris Pratt, is critical to her family's well-being. And what part of herself is Katherine working on in 2023? We hear about her supremely personal goals. We're gonna guess you might be able to relate! Catt and Katherine cover it all – mental health, letting go of the small stuff, and being present for life because as our almost-empty-nester-host Catt knows all too well, it flies by! Good Night, Sister is out now. Follow along with Katherine on IG where you can also watch her series about parenting: BDA. Motherhood is beautiful but it's also a lot of work. From the struggle of this fake bounce back and more many women are in a tired loop of getting back to the she-that once was........What if instead of what was-we see ourselves in a new light. What if we made the journey into putting ourselves as a priority. This is a journey that goes well beyond a 12 week time to have sex mindset after a baby.....A journey into what being a mom is while being a woman gets complicated but we talk about it, postpartum depression, single moms, and what are these partners we love to hold on so dear, role in Getting Back to She.......Join in the conversation because it's deep, prayerful, disheartneing, and frustrating at the same timeFollow me on social media as Toitimeblog and on the blog as Toitime

Motherhood is a monumental, life-changing and sacred experience for those who embark on it. It's also an incredibly loaded topic shrouded in mystery, fear, and sometimes shame when it comes to the complex reality behind the glowy maternity photos, sonogram announcements, and darling newborn portraits. In this episode, the single and childless Minji invites her new friend Gaby Meier, a working woman and mother to a darling 1-year-old son, to get very honest and real about the ups, downs, & reality checks of motherhood today. They share stories of their own mothers, the examples they set, and their respective cultural environments, as well as their life expectations from an early age. They also get honest about their thoughts about feeling up for the challenge, their sense or lack of agency and choice, and the very real inequalities and shortcomings of modern American society in supporting mothers. They are here to un-boo all the taboos, to call out the lack of government and systemic support that should to be in place, and their hopes to provide space and support for the beautiful and hard realities of motherhood. TRIGGER WARNING - There is talk about miscarriages so if you need to skip this episode or come back to it later, please do. When I went from carefree, globe-trotting Boss Babe to mommy, I was suddenly in search of a whole new tribe to help me navigate the inevitable fumbles and failures of raising a kid. Shifting gears from red carpets to a gig called ‘mom' required a whole new game plan. I made my mark as a TV and red carpet host, and you might even recognize me from some of your favorite Tv shows, ‘90s hip-hop videos or hair blogs. Today, I introduce you to my own personal journey as a mother, a professional, and a woman making divine decisions that are rooted in who I am. The most important thing I've learned in this life is that when things are hard, we cannot— as much as we think we can— go around it, we cannot go over it, we cannot go under it… We have to go right through the center.Tune in and listen to the first episode of Mamaste with Tanika Ray. I'm creating a unique sanctuary for the mommy collective where we can amplify self-love and self-care, tips on raising conscious kids, and help each other fine-tune our boundaries. We'll celebrate the highs while forgiving ourselves for the lows. Because being a mom is the most thankless, exhausting, fulfilling, unpaid job on the face of the planet—and I wouldn't trade it for the world. In This Episode, You Will Learn:My mission statement and the purpose behind this podcast (04:21)Whether single, married, or in a partnership, a mom is a mom is a mom (12:12)I consider myself a tough, strong black woman—but I was terrified of starting this podcast (14:40)Shout out to the Podcast Accelerator, the group that helped me finally realize my podcasting dreams (15:18)Mommying is a full-on circus act (19:33)If this pandemic has taught me anything, it's to let go of previous attachments and to live in my greatest truth (21:01)I plan to use this podcast to shine my light on incredible guests and give them a platform to come through to you (25:10)Let's Connect!WebsiteFacebookInstagramYouTubeTwitter Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. Ever get tired of pretending your kids and being a mom is "perfect?" Do you get exhausted with the incessant mommy highlight reels posted all over your social media pages? If the answers are yes, THIS is your episode! It's a story of one mom who bravely stood up to the norm to create a successful resource and platform for mommies to speak their TRUTH. Guest Lindsey Whiting-Schnepper, aka "Elle Double U Pepper," launched "Mommyblogue" to give honest, raw and funny stories of being a mom that we can all relate to. From getting mommy "twisties," to having to fit everything in one short line for the required "occupation" question. Lindsey has wit and incredible analogies that bring life to her stories and connect us all. Stay tuned for the back half of the interview, as Lisa and Lo put the interview on its head. As a mom with much younger kids, Lindsey interviews her hosts to get the scoop on what she might be in for as her kids get older, as well as what advice she might want to take. It's Mommy "hood," the best kind of hood to be part of!

LauRen and Barb are sharing their personal stories and struggles while laughing their way through these life changes. In this episode of Mommyhood 2 Menopause, LauRen shares the 4 days of hell she went through when she lost her wedding rings. After seeing them last at the pool before Labor Day, she retraces her steps, begs for help and cries to anyone who will listen and help her hunt them down, before braking the news to her husband. Talk about bad timing... LauRen and her husband Dallas just celebrated their 11 year wedding anniversary!
