*Official* The world's BEST podcast recorded in a mobile dog trailer. Hello Listeroonis! It's Nan here. Get your ears ready because Matt is on the sound effects this week. I told him he could only press two*. In this ep, Rich unveils his latest invention—the Rhyme-a-Tron 3000, a machine designed to make poetry a pushover! Unfortunately when Matt decides to replace its power source with a banana, things take a disastrous turn. Will they escape the poetic curse, or are they doomed to rhyme forever? I don't know because I'm in India relaxing, oops, I mean, writing my comedy show. PLUS We also have sponsor suggestions, a bum parade and the world de-butt of Rich's new poem ‘PUNKtuation'. He says, it's the best poem ever to be written about punctuation full stop. Enjoy and don't forget to send us your letters to hello@thelisties.com Aloha, Nan *please let me know if you hear more than two sounds. Aloha Listeroonis, Nan here, sliding into your ears with another chill episode of The Listies Make You SNOWcast. Did I just say SNOWcast? I meant LOLcast! (Oops… Shhhh don't tell Matt and Rich, they still think we're headed somewhere "cool".) In this episode, Rich and Matt daydream about the theme parks they'd like to visit: Sensible Land and Epic Pete's World of Danger and Screaming. You can guess who wants to go where. Also, we take a dive into our Fan Mail/Spam Mail bag, and Rich unveils a piece of poetry cooler than a penguins bum. Oh, and guess what? We've got a brand-new sponsor suggestion from one of you clever-rooni's! Marble Studios. Could this be the start of The "NCU?" Nan's Cinematic Universe. Stay tuned to find out. If you've got jokes, sponsor suggestions, or even just want to say hi, email us at hello@thelisties.com. Who knows, maybe your idea will take us somewhere truly magical (or frozen solid, hehe). That's all for now, snow angels! Stay cheeky, stay chilly, and don't forget your thermals. Also Matt asked me to put these photos in the episode notes... Hope they make you LOL. See you next year! Aloha, Nan P.S. Does anyone know how to get icicles off a mobile dogwash? Asking for a friend. This episode of The Listies Make You LOLcast is presented by Bounce. Hello Listerooni, I guess you're wondering what we've got under our podcap this week. You'll have to listen to find out, but I'll give you a clue: What's green, and brown and looks like a BUM? BUM PEAR! Or is it bum lemon? Or bum strawberry? IT'S ALL OF THEM. *spoileralert* Matt and Rich break the world record for the most number of pictures of fruit and veggies that look like bums that have ever been on a podcast. There's even two dumplings stuck together #adorable. After that, there's an episode…OF OUR LIVES(™), sponsor suggestions and a certain corner FULL of poetry… and bears…Oops. Don't forget to send us your sponsor ideas, jokes, and silly questions to hello@thelisties.com. Thanks for listening… Ooroo Nan. It's the most wonderful time of the year! Tis' the season of giving! So, this week we share a fun way to teach your kids the importance of giving while also making way for the new toys coming into the home during the holidays (be proactive before you add to the clutter mamas). You can also model generosity and how beautiful random acts of kindness are by making some goodie bags for people as a family and paying it forward. You can hand them out on the street or place them in hiding spots a stranger might come across them like at the coffee shop. So many times we think we can only give when we have an abundance but it makes the world. Drop some toys off at the shelter, or pack some healthy snack bags for those that are stuck outside this cold season, or hot depending on where you live. Get rid of jackets/coats/boots that no longer fit to keep someone else warm during this winter season. Let's teach our kids how good it feels to give even when we don't feel we have an abundance to give from. It's usually the people with the least that give the most. Happy holidays families, we hope you enjoy this activity with your littles, and please do not let it stress you out. It should be joyful. Remember to be patient parents! As broadcast June 9, 2022 with plenty of podcast pinballs provided no quarters necessary. We mark two years since Bonnie Pointer met her demise, leaving only the eldest of the original Pointer Sisters as the lone survivor. We had a smattering of new tunes to cover this week in our Sampled funk & soul first hour, but also had a lot of recent joints that we kind of slept on, with John Batiste, Danielle Ponder, The Frightnrs, and Lettuce being highlights of a strong first half. Dan Lloyd once again kicks in the door and makes us call him uncle in hour 2 for our AMPED rock feature, with a lotta good, a lotta bad, and a generally mixed bag heading to the end of the show. However, as usual, our guy on the drums had his fun too, with a hilarious mashup of the new Muse tune with Gary Glitter highlighting how derivative and ridiculous that latest single is from the former.#feelthegravityTracklisting:Part I (00:00)The Pointer Sisters – Pinball Number CountDanielle Ponder – The Only Way OutMickey De Grand IV – GeraldineJon Batiste – TELL THE TRUTHJungle – PROBLEMZLettuce – Vamanos Part II (31:33)Haley Johnsen – EmilyYola & The Highwomen feat Cheryl Crow – Hold OnEl Michels Affair feat Bobby Oroza – Stack The DeckThe Frightnrs – AlwaysMaverick Sabre – Good ManKatalyst feat Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad – JuneteenthBrian Jackson – Nancy Wilson (Shigeto remix) Part III (66:53)Panic! Thanks for tuning in to another episode of Crypto Sapiens. Today Humpty Calderon talks with Susie Jaramillo, Co-founder of Encantos, creators of Canticos. In our conversation with Susie, we discuss building a brand, launching a media platform, serving bilingual, educational content to families worldwide, and what it means to bridge traditional media to Web3 using NFTs. We explore the vision of the Canticos NFT project, including the Producers Circle, which invites holders to participate in pitches of upcoming series and virtual and in-person events that connect creators, agents, and educators to help kids learn and fulfil their potential. This discussion is fascinating because of the target demographic of the project. Rarely do we see projects that wish to meaningfully engage our children and provide valuable, educational experiences for them. I hope you enjoyed this conversation as much as we did.
