Jesus knows not only our name, but our voice!

What happened on the Day of Pentecost was not a one-time event. Again and again, throughout the later chapters of the Acts of the Apostles, we read of people receiving the Holy Spirit. Each time, there was a remarkable transformation. They were filled with a new dynamic power, and it became unmistakably clear that the Holy Spirit had changed their lives. When I received the Holy Spirit, He completely transformed me. That work has not diminished over the years; rather, my hunger for His presence has only grown stronger. Today, I need the Holy Spirit even more than I did when I first received Him at the age of fourteen. We must never be afraid to suffer for Christ's sake. For me, it is both an honour and a privilege. When I was imprisoned for smuggling Bibles, I reflected on the fact that the Father allowed His own Son, Jesus Christ, to be arrested, imprisoned, mocked, beaten, and tortured. Suffering for His name should not surprise us. In the book of Acts, the Lord said to Ananias concerning Paul, "I will show him how much he must suffer for My name's sake." From the very beginning, following Christ has meant not only sharing in His life and power, but also being willing to share in His sufferings.

Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” But where is that power? I have more spiritual power and authority now than at any other time in my life. When you truly know God and live for Him, the power doesn't fade. In fact, the older I get, the greater the fire and the strength of His power within me. Here's the secret: in the Old Testament, God commanded the Temple priests to never let the fire on the altar go out. That same principle applies to us today. Guard the fire in your life. Keep it alive. Don't let it fade. Nurture it through prayer, faith, and devotion – and you'll discover a power that never diminishes, only grows stronger with time.

If you believe that Jesus died on the cross, then salvation means death, you must die with Him. Colossians 2:12 says we're buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him into new life.  My old sinful life is dead – I am dead – with Christ! But just like Jesus, I have been raised from the dead and so like Paul, can say, ‘I live, yet not I, Christ lives in me!' This is what I preach, the old-fashioned Gospel according to the Word of God. Every convert is a new creation, that is why REVIVAL FIRE is in Russia and the Ukraine! HE is within them and they are only alive in HIM. Dead to self, but CHRIST LIVES in US!  I have Christ IN me and I have the Holy Spirit IN me! That is the secret of fifty years of miracle ministry. I do not want any new Gospel – I want the Bible-believing, miracle-working, powerful Gospel according to God's Word! You can pray for an easy life, ask Him to prevent the problems, ask for a quiet time... but that means where there are no problems, there are no miracles! We must go by faith, in obedience to what God is telling us to do. And God always makes a way. 

If you let the Power of God touch you, God will change your life by a miracle. You need the touch and the Power of God. But you have to trust Him. You have to believe that God can work the miracle.  I have seen so many miracles that have changed people's lives. And that is the Power of the Gospel. God changes us. God can touch you; He can change your life. God can heal your sickness. He can forgive your sin. God can break the Power of the devil and set your free. There is no limit to the Power of God. But first we must understand who Jesus is – He is alive today to work miracles in your life. 

You are not mostly alive. You are either dead in sin… or alive in Christ. Ephesians 2:1–10, we walk through Saul before Christ and Paul after Christ. One life trusted résumé, religion, and reputation. We loved chatting with fellow Italian Australian Daniele Foti-Cuzzola in this week's episode. Holly Campbell gave birth to her son, Jake in 2007. At just two and a half months old, Jake suddenly stopped breathing and was rushed to the hospital. The following day, Holly and her husband were told the devastating news that their baby was not going to survive. In their grief, they wanted to give their son a legacy and help others, so the selfless decision to donate Jake's heart was made. During this same time period and nearly 1,000 miles away, Kim Scadlock gave birth to her son, Beckham. Beckham seemed healthy at birth, but soon medical staff discovered he was struggling to breathe. After tests were done, Kim and her husband were told Beckham's only chance to survive was to receive a heart transplant. Thankfully, Jake's heart was a match for Beckham and the transplant took place. Afterward, while both families were in the process of grieving and healing, they thought of each other often, although they did not know each other's identity. Through the organ donor networks, the families were eventually able to contact each other and in 2010, Holly, Kim and their families met for the very first time at the Transplant Games in Wisconsin. Thirteen years later in 2023, Holly and Kim were invited to performed the song “For Good” from the musical, “Wicked” on the popular television show, America's Got Talent. “For Good” has a special meaning for Holly as it was the last song she was able to sing to Jake before he passed and also special for Kim, as it was the first song she sang to Beckham after he received his new heart. Today, I'm talking to Don Ezra. Don's illustrious career in the insurance and finance industries began in the 70's and his achievements are numerous. His 26-year career at Russell Investments culminated when he became its Co-Chair of Global Consulting. In 2010, Don "graduated" to a part-time schedule that gave him more freedom to pursue a wide variety of other interests. Since then, Don has also served on the Joint Investment Committee of Margaret A Cargill Philanthropies. Sweathead Facebook group member Philipp Paster lives in Kyiv, Ukraine. Much of his family is there, too. But everyone lives in different apartments. On Friday, March 11, Philipp (formerly a brand strategist at TBWA Ukraine) spoke with me about what it's been like to be living in Kyiv during the Russian invasion. I only watched the documentary “Winter On Fire”, which looks at the toppling of one of Ukraine's leaders Yanukovych, after speaking with Philipp. Watching it before speaking with Philipp would have given me better questions. Like many of us, I'm only just starting to wrap my head around the history of Kyiv and Ukraine. Still, many thanks to Philipp for sharing his thoughts with us.
