To find someone as interesting and generous with their wisdom as Kris Wilder is difficult. Every time I speak to him, listen to or read his words, I learn something new. Kris is one of the most eclectic men I know. In his time he has been a political and public affairs consultant, part of legislative staff, a Franciscan Friar, a member of the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame and author of seventeen books. His views and ideas, shaped from hard earned experience, are far-reaching and deep. But beyond that, and maybe, probably, because of it, Kris is one of the ‘Good Guys'. If it sounds like I'm gushing, it's because I am, and I do so without apology. I know you'll get as much from listening to Kris as I do chatting with him. This is one for the ages. Enjoy. Please take the time to share it with someone you think might benefit and help us spread the 'Buddhist Millionaire' word. Until next time. Lots of love. Matt and the team x

Dr. Ruben West never met a personal challenge he didn't turn into an opportunity. He has an innate ability to see promise and potential where others see dead ends and disappointment, and he's using this ability to blaze new trails for others to follow. Dr. West knew he wanted to be a surgical assistant in a time where that profession was not recognized as such. Rather than accept the impossibility of his vision, he set about creating that profession that is now recognized in the medical field. He didn't stop there, though - Dr. West repeated that process of creating his own dream and went on achieve one extraordinary accomplishment after another. He turned his love for martial arts into a full-fledged purpose that literally changed lives, while also getting him inducted in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He's among the most highly sought-after international speakers, coaches, and corporate trainers. He's an author, an entrepreneur and a living example of the potential lying untapped in us all. Grandmaster Dave Wheaton, a past guest on the show, joined us to talk about aging and his hero Jack LaLanne. Dave is the founder of Hapkido International and is in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He sat down to talk with Mark and Patrick about his wellness regimen and a recent trip to Japan where he embarked on the Samurai Trail (Nakasendo Way). Dave was influenced early in life by Jack Lalanne who said, "Exercise is King, nutrition is queen." Dave embodies this philosophy in his martial arts teaching and through the KUT (Kickboxers Ultimate Training) program pioneered at his dojo, Martial Arts Family Fitness, based in Santa Barbara, California. Dave says that his Italian upbringing and a diet heavy in carbs lead to him being 'husky.' He now lives by the diet advocated by his wife and wellness expert, Melodee Meyer, author of the book: Clean Food Diet. Much of the conversation focused on the magic that Dave encountered on the Samurai Trail. We talked at length about Mushasi, author of the Book of Five Rings and the impact he had on martial arts. He was the most notorious samurai of his time and never lost a battle.
