Come learn about wellness yoga as Briani Claggett chats with Sabrina E. Bruce and Steve Moubray. You'll love learning about Briani's passion before she walks us through a 10-minute exercise that can be practiced at your desk, any time you feel the need. Over the past 7 years, Briani has built a yoga practice and teaching style that is uniquely her own. A dance injury is what originally prompted her to pick up a yoga mat, so naturally, elements of flow & expression are woven into her teaching style. And as one who's always questioning & rebelling against limitations, she gently encourages her students to play on the edge of what's currently comfortable & possible for them. Briani has completed two 200-hour yoga teacher trainings. Her first in Nicaragua with Meghan Currie, whose sensual and dance-like yoga practice captivated and inspired Briani to commit to yoga as a healing practice. And the other was in her hometown of Gaithersburg Maryland, where she was part of the thriving yoga community at Life Time Athletic. Briani currently lives in Baltimore, where she's living out her desire to help her community connect more deeply with their bodies, with Nature, and with each other. She practices at Authentic Yoga Studios and other local studios. You can find more of Briani's work- including info about her upcoming online video series launch- on Instagram @nurhythms. She is a widely admired and sought-after yogini and yoga teacher, a yoga wear designer, an inspiring artist and musician, and an avid olive oil lover. Most people know her for her body - (and mind) bending presence on social media where she shares on the art of breath, consciousness, meditation, flow, and on how she navigates this world in our human form. "What if we were like seeds, so uniquely coded, and when nourished in certain ways, different aspects would grow. What if the different external circumstances we experience trigger new aspects to come to life, aspects of our intrinsic nature that were never expected. And what if we could trust in how we are growing, what we are creating, the journey we are being taken on, and trust that our inner urges are pulling us in all the right directions. I believe urges are like an inner nudge to nourish some aspect of ourselves to life. And that when we nourish them, we stand in new terrain composed of possibility." – Meghan Currie In this episode, I speak with Meghan about her yoga journey, humbleness, the intricacies of life, on how to trust our individual ride when we understand that we get to collaborate with life at all times.

Being a nurse, Miranda was apprehensive when she first heard of detox growing in popularity. After having gone through YogiDetox herself, however, Miranda has seen first-hand the massive benefits detoxing has had on her health. Gale and Miranda chat about the transformational experience that this program has brought to so many people. Often in our busy modern lives, it can be really great for us to take a step back from things that aren’t serving us. Detoxing allows us to remove ourselves from our everyday lifestyles, so we can more easily cut out foods that we don’t realize are negatively impacting us. Additionally, it encourages stricter adherence to practices and habits that serve us well, such as going to bed early. Cate Stillman has designed YogiDetox so that you have the power to design your own detox and do it how you want. Miranda emphasizes how it is less about increasing stress through strict adherence to guidelines, and more about doing the things that you know serve your health best. Detoxing allows us to get back into alignment and balance with ourselves, and YogiDetox provides the support we need to get there.   What you’ll get out of tuning in: Why detoxing can be so transformative Why you should do YogiDetox What eliminating certain foods can tell us   Links Mentioned in Episode: YogiDetox Fall  Intermittent Fasting, Detoxing And The Ayurvedic Clock  The Detox Path of Deep Nourishment with Deanna Minich  Show Highlights: 3:38 - Miranda discusses with Gale how YogiDetox is designed for participants to design their detox to fit what they need at any given time in their lives. While Miranda detoxed more on her own, she underscores the value of the Facebook community for answering questions, providing support, and showing how others are handling the detox journey. 11:45 - Miranda emphasizes looking at our local environment, including local plants that grow, to see how we can utilize these resources to feed our health. On today's Zestology podcast I have an inspirational and fun-loving guest who definitely enjoys the journey. As well as being a celebrated yoga teacher, Meghan Currie is a bit of an inspirer extraordinaire, and also blogs to her army of followers about travel and putting raw food on your face! When we met she was in the UK, then when we did the interview she was in Bali, and now she's in Istanbul for a month. She is truly enjoying the journey, and not intent on arriving.
