Greg and Eli talk with Brad Logan about Memphis-Ole Miss basketball, Moussa Cisse getting his waiver, Memphis's non-conference schedule, Ole Miss's chances to get into a NY6 Bowl and more. Also, they talk about Doomsday hypothetical with the CFP, best QBs in the NFL, injury recover time and more.
In this edition of Talk of Champions: Short Sessions, national college basketball analyst Jeff Goodman joins Zach Berry of the OMSpirit.com/On3 to talk all things Ole Miss basketball. The Rebels exhibition with Tusculum Monday night before opening their season November 6 against Alabama State. What can Rebel fans expect from Beard and Co. in Year 1? Goodman believes, as far as national competitiveness, Ole Miss needs each of transfers Moussa Cisse and Brandon Murray to get their NCAA waivers approved for one final season of eligibility.“I think it's about 20 percent so far of those that try to get a second undergrad waiver after transferring getting it,” Goodman said. “I think that's going to determine whether Ole Miss is going to be a real factor nationally or not. If Beard gets both those dudes eligible? Watch out. “There aren't many better in the country than Chris Beard as a ball coach in terms of everything he does. You get Texas Tech to the national title game, that's one of the greatest accomplishments in the last 20 years in college basketball.”Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Evie Van Pelt, founder and publisher of The Rebel Walk, joins John to discuss Ole Miss Basketball recruiting with Chris Beard getting a commitment from Moussa Cisse, as well as the baseball program missing the Conference Tournament. Later, Steve Macy previews the Memphis Showboats game this weekend.
In this edition of Talk of Champions, Ben Garrett and Zach Berry of the Ole Miss Spirit bring the latest on Rebel football's pursuit of Michigan State transfer wide receiver Keon Coleman. Coleman visited Ole Miss last week and seemed on the verge of a commitment announcement, especially after he cancelled a planned trip to Texas A&M. So, what's the holdup? Plus, Chris Beard and Rebel basketball stayed hot in transfer portal with the addition of one-time five-star recruit Moussa Cisse. Times have certainly changed for the most success-starved major sport on campus.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about Jaxson Dart and the part of his game that will determine whether Ole Miss Rebels win seven or nine games this fall competing in the Southeastern Conference, SEC. We looked at statistics from Pro Football Focus at Jaxson Dart's passing chart and came away with two positions. First of all Jaxson Dart has been poor in the middle of the field and Elsewhere he has been really good. A couple of the Zones were better than I assumed. In the second segment of the show we talk about the commitment parade that happened in football and basketball over the weekend for Lane Kiffin and Chris Beard. We start with the commitment of high school 3 star cornerback out of Clarksdale, Miss. Patrick Broomfield. This is a player from Mississippi that helps their haul in state and has massive potential. We move on to the Transfer Portal with the Commitment of Akelo Strong from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and how he will fit on the Defensive Line. In our final segment of the day we talk Moussa Cisse committing to Chris Beard and the Ole Miss Men's Basketball team and look at what the 7'1" center can bring to the table. Locked On Tar Heels - Daily Podcast On North Carolina Tar Heels Football & Basketball
North Carolina has lacked a true shot-blocking defensive presence for quite some time now. Walker Kessler brought that, but didn't get enough playing time for it to play a massive role. Oklahoma State transfer Moussa Cisse would provide exactly that role for the Tar Heels in the 2023-24 season (and possibly one more after). Would he be willing to play a backup role to Armando Bacot? Would Cisse's addition limit Jalen Washington's impact? We're once again faced with that transfer portal conundrum. We learned of Simeon Wilcher and Zayden High's final class of 2023 rankings at 247Sports. Who should the Kentucky Wildcats go after to help bolster their frontcourt depth? On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe gives three players that Kentucky basketball should go after not named Hunter Dickinson, the star Michigan transfer. There aren't a lot of options right now that would be better or as overall talented as Dickinson. John Calipari could go after Virginia transfer Kadin Shedrick... but it looks like Missouri, Xavier, Duke and Texas are going after him. The Wildcats could look at Moussa Cisse, but there doesn't seem to be any interest. Is Kentucky hurting themselves by hoping that Oscar Tshiebwe will come back to college for one more season? Zoom Diallo (not related to Hamidou Diallo) is a five star point guard that Kentucky basketball has recently shown interest in. Would he be a good fit for the Wildcats? Diallo himself thinks so. Is Kentucky hurting themselves by hoping that Oscar Tshiebwe will come back to college for one more season?Zoom Diallo (not related to Hamidou Diallo) is a five star point guard that Kentucky basketball has recently shown interest in. Would he be a good fit for the Wildcats? Diallo himself thinks so.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!LinkedInLinkedIn jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster. WEDNESDAY POD! The show starts out on a great note as Jordy still can't figure out technology, maybe he and Will Wade share the same hate for technology! Is LSU working with the NCAA a good or bad thing after seeing the sanctions they leveed the Oklahoma State basketball program with? The New Orleans Saints remain the leader in the clubhouse for Deshaun Watson but a division rival has been named as the dark horse to land the coveted quarterback. The Saints also went out and signed a safety to replace Marcus Williams not named Tyrann Mathieu, what does this mean for the former LSU Star? The crew also answers some of our fan's mailbag questions which leads to another famous Jordy, Will Wade, and LSU Basketball rant after a fan asks about the recruitment of Moussa Cisse that led to the direct firing of LSU assistant Bill Armstrong. LSU Women's Basketball Head coach Kim Mulkey joins the show to give an injury update on star guard Alexis Morris, getting technical fouls, and the team's upcoming game in the NCAA tournament. The King of the South, Barstools Ben Mintz joins us in the studio to talk about his recent tour of south Louisiana, college baseball betting lines, and his first weekend back for the Baton Rouge St. Patties Day parade.
On this week's episode of the Feels Like 45 Podcast, Cade Webb and Dustin Ragusa welcomed Aaron Fitt, Co-editor and writer at D1Baseball.com. In addition to that interview, Cade and Dustin discussed Moussa Cisse's return, Anthony Black's recruitment, some football recruiting news and much, much more. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/feelslike45/message

Then, we move onto Daimion Collins, Mark Williams, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Drew Timme, Walker Kessler, Azuolas Tubelis, Kofi Cockburn, Hunter Dickinson, Moussa Cisse. It's been a while since Matt and Michael got together to talk some hoops, but honestly, there wasn't much reason to. Florida State went after transfer Tre Mitchell and whiffed. The same could be said for Kofi Cockburn. Toss in Moussa Cisse as well. The 'Noles were targeting a big man, but missed at every turn. Well, since nothing is happening with the roster, we decided it was time to talk basketball. We start with the summer update. What does the roster look like? What are the strengths and weaknesses of this year's version? How has recruiting worked out by position? From there we launch into the NBA Draft. FSU had the two highest ACC players in the draft last year, and with Scottie Barnes will most likely have the highest drafted ACC player again. But there are plenty of other 'Noles going pro, and we touch on them as well. Plus, how the current roster shake out for next year's draft? We touch on 2022 recruiting. Florida State has had multiple top-50 type recruiting on campus (hooray for the return of in-person recruiting), but can they land one to get this class started? And where does assistant coach Steve Smith fit in to this? He's probably the least talked about of the assistants, but this class could have his fingerprints all over it. Finally, we touch on some golf. Why? Why not? There are plenty of FSU golfers out there aside from Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger, so we get caught up on some of the important names to know. For episode seven of the Tomahawk Nation podcast, we started by breaking down the win at Wake Forest. After the Louisville game several things became clear that could keep Florida State's season headed in the right direction, and we discuss which of those things the Seminoles did well vs. the Demon Deacons. Next up the co-hosts each drafted their All-Decade teams. Matt was generous enough to give Michael the first pick and his team ended up: Jonathan Isaac Michael Snaer Trent Forrest Dwayne Bacon Malik Beasley Okaro White Matt wanted an elite defensive team with enough shooting to get it done, so he ended up drafting: Chris Singleton Terance Mann Derwin Kitchen Devin Vassell Bernard James Devon Bookert Somehow first round draft pick Mfiondu Kabengele was left on the board, as well as MJ Walker, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Ian Miller, Deividas Dulkys, Luke Loucks, Braian Angola, and a bunch of other talented players. Let us know in the comments how we screwed this up, or who you would have drafted. Then we discussed some upcoming official visits from Bryce McGowans, Moussa Cisse, Kennedy Chandler, and Michael Foster. Three of those guys are top-10 players in the class of 2021. Finally we covered games to watch. Get out there and watch some hoops, and this will help you know who to root for. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
