Send us a textThe 1992 New York Democratic Primary was a knock down drag out affair between Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton and his one remaining challenger Former California Governor Jerry Brown. The two men pulled no punches as they fought over the delegates in this state , that was no stranger to rowdy politics. Brown would accuse Clinton of shaking down the Arkansas poultry industry for thousands of dollars in legal fees for his wife's law firm in Little Rock. Clinton would return the fire going after Brown's constant reinventing of himself, and the fact that he had been known for his shaking down of California business interests for years. They both went straight for the jugular and it left hard feelings that did not end after the primary was over. But Bill Clinton would win it, and Jerry Brown would lose not only to Bill Clinton but also to Paul Tsongas, who had suspended his campaign a couple of weeks earlier. That would seal the fate of Jerry Brown and finally give Bill Clinton his party's nomination for President. We're off to the races~- the 2024 General Election happening November 5, 2024. Tuesday's primary elections saw Jamal Bowman -- the first of The Squad in the House of Representatives -- lose his New York Primary race. However, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) won her primary. Today, we will discuss the ramifications of these and other races. The nation is fixated on Thursday evening's debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Speculation is abundant on each side, so predictions of the outcome are abundant. Polls show that Trump holds a firm hold on most pivotal swing states in each presidential election. So far, Democrats are floored at the Trump polling achievements while in shock at the numbers for the President. An uncanny revelation we discuss on today's show is how Planned Parenthood is using millions of taxpayer dollars to support the Joe Biden Campaign. Of course, anyone can vote for whomever they want in federal elections and donate to their chosen candidates. However, Planned Parenthood is a 501 C(3) tax-exempt corporation. Not-for-profit companies cannot donate to political campaigns -- AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD HAS $1.00 BILLION TAXPAYER DOLLARS, SOME OF WHICH THEY'RE ILLEGALLY PAYING THE BIDEN CAMPAIGN!
Donald Trump demands a drug test for President Biden and offers to take one himself with just two days to go before the CNN presidential debate. The special counsel in Trump's classified documents case releases new evidence, including never-before-seen photos from the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago. There's no denying the surprisingly resounding beat-down of Bernie Sanders in NY primary by Hillary Clinton! The Sanders's camp projected a single-digit deficit in New York, not double-digit deficit! U can say this 2016 Democratic primary turned the "corner" on April 19th & catapulted Hillary Clinton into insurmountable legate lead and an overwhelming momentum of "certainty" as nominee at July convention in Philly. What's more impressive was that the lead was pronounced at very beginning of the vote tally last night and remained in high double-digits until 99% of vote was tallied. Sanders can elect to stay in until the bitter end but the NY primary was assuredly the death knell of his presidential candidacy and he damn well knows it. Making it known that his campaign will fight tooth and tong for every last super-delegate just cements notion that Sanders campaign is in final stages of "utter desperation". No matter. Next Tue, April 26th, PA primary will be held and if there is an even more friendly environs for Clinton than New York, it is PA. We may see a 20-point blow-out win for Hillary. Bernie, I'd quit while I'm ahead. Work something out w/DNC as far as getting speaking slot at convention. Do the statesman-like thing and suspend your campaign and do your part to reunite party as soon possible to allow Democrats to regroup sufficiently to permit Hillary Clinton to be at her optimum for Fall election. The decision is yours, to be sure, but, might be high time to put party before personal considerations, Bernie, know when to say when. U've been licked - u know it. Superdelegate ploy by your campaign manager, Weaver, is just that, mere ploy. Concede for good of all concerned. Hillary can beat either Trump or Cruz handily in the FALL. Clock's running down, Benie!

Terrible Opinions Zach - Georgetown is seeking out the descendants of slaves their organization owned to pay them reparations. Jordan - I loved the Organic Valley ad that pushes against the "perfect woman" marketing by showing a real woman's morning Matthias - Batman v Superman was a great movie The IRS Scandal and How Should We Respond (25:00) Matthias talks about the recent report that blasts the IRS for not being forthright with the documents sought by the court. This shifts into a discussion of IRS funding & trying to figure out the best ways to fund the IRS to do its job while punishing them for targeting Tea Party groups. A Catholic Response to Amoris (44:00) Zach covers the papal exhortation Amoris Laetitia & how it is worrisome to many devoted Catholics and what it may mean in the long term for the Catholic church. Zach gives a great explanation of why he likes the Catholic position of sex and marriage and why he thinks it is an important holistic structure. The New York Primary (1:00:00) Jordan covers the New York primary, which we all expect Trump to win although the question is how much he wins it by. Predictions (1:08:30) Zach - Trump slaughters in New York (more than 80 delegates) Jordan - People are going to be upset if Trump gets fewer delegates than predicted & complain the election is being stolen from him. Is the truth about to finally come out about the Saudis involvement in 9/11? A new law being considered in Congress would remove sovereign immunity from Saudi Arabia and allow victim lawsuits to go forward. The Saudis are threatening an economic scorched earth if the law is passed. Can we gain any preparedness lessons from the recent earthquakes in Ecuador and Japan? A preview of the Tuesday primaries, Russia's risky game of chicken with U.S. forces escalates, another for-profit college goes under, and a major franchise tax preparation firm under investigation by authorities.
