In the earlier stages of my podcast, I often found guests on LinkedIn. Then, I found podcasts through public relations firms and placement agencies. Now, I find them through other podcasters, former guests, friends, and colleagues in the personal development space. I am so excited about the evolution of the show and plan to continue to bring you powerful guests, like my guest, Alicia Zielinski Straub, today.Alicia and I met through former podcast guest, colleague, and somatic breathwork teacher, Nicole Smith Levay. Alicia and I have been on a breathwork journey together, and now we are taking a meditation and breathwork mentorship (certification together)! It has been wonderful to get to know Alicia, and I am happy to have her as a guest on the show.During my conversation with Alicia, we chatted about:Her experience many years ago with Hurricane Sandy, and how it cracked her wide open and started her healing journey.Alicia's vision for her life and how she suggests other women go about finding their own bigger vision for their life and career. The idea of not knowing and how we can be as calm as possible in the middle of that phase of transformation. How we soften into our hearts when we are on a healing or change journey. The advice Alicia would have for any woman who is looking to tap into herself, find stillness, and get prepared for transformation.

In this episode, Kyle discusses the different waves that have occurred in evangelicalism over the past 50 years through Trevin Wax's recent article. He explores the history and development of this movement and its potential impact on the church. Kyle emphasizes the need for a theologically rich understanding of spiritual formation that begins with the Gospel and centers around Christ and the church. We're thinking about all of our listeners during this extremely challenging time for the Jewish people worldwide, and here at DMC, we're committed to providing content for you that will be helpful and hopefully uplifting. There are many heroes in this war, and some of them are the special individuals in Eretz Yisrael who have done whatever they can to support their fellow brothers and sisters who have been displaced from their homes due to the war. We're privileged to have been connected with Sarah Levy who lives in Ramot and has opened up her home and heart to a displaced family from Southern Israel. Sarah's story needs to be told, and we learned so much from her about taking action and truly being nosei ol b'chaveiro, carrying the burden of one's friend. We hope you find this episode as inspiring as we did. On this DMC, we discuss: How Sarah got connected to Revital, the mother of the familly she is hosting Sarah's decision process in deciding to host Revital, her husband and her children What the transition has been like for both families Special experiences both families have shared together Getting by day-to-day without being consumed by worry about the future Chizuk from Eretz Yisrael for our listeners DMC YEARLY SPONSOR: Town Appliance https://www.townappliance.com/ 1-866-309-8119 https://www.townappliance.com/pages/contact-us DMC EPISODE SPONSOR: ERA Plastic Surgery (732) 730-7333 Frontdesk@eraplasticsurgery.com Link to business WhatsApp: https://wa.me/message/W4NEQIT3IN3OB1

Dr. Rosemary and Marie talk about love, pain and compassion. Compassion for ourselves and others. We build compassion by paying attention to the present moment; to our senses. They tell us we are alive and that this journey is worth it. Life is rich with beautiful moments like smelling the wonderful pot of beans on the stove with a tortilla hot off the press. The process of letting go is so freeing once you understand the beauty on the other side. I know what it feels like to build up walls to protect yourself. But I'm here to tell you. You don't have to build up walls in order to heal. We actually need to do the complete opposite and let go of the things that trigger us. In this week's podcast episode, I'll share my current experimentation with letting go. I believe our hearts want to stay open and it's only in our awareness that we are able to decide we're no longer going to close our hearts. I'd love to hear your perspective on this topic! How can a wife trust her husband when he has proven himself to be unfaithful? How can she know that he has truly repented of his sin or if he will betray her again? In part two of our series, Refined as Silver, we discuss how a wife can learn to rest in the Lord as she entrusts her marriage to Him. And she must also learn to have faith that God will hold her husband fast as he walks out His repentance.
(East Bay Meditation Center) Just before this Valentine's Day, we'll explore, in meditation and a talk and discussion, what helps us to open our hearts to our deep loving nature, and what gets in the way of such opening. We'll focus on how central it is, and often how hard it is, to be able to develop and express self-love and self-compassion. Yet these qualities are necessary for bringing love into our relationships and into our world, which deeply needs love and heart connections. We'll identify perspectives and practices which help us to open our hearts to love!
I compare the audiobook of "How Al-Anon Works" (eA-22) to the print version (B-32) in Episode 13's part 9 of 11. Reading IThe word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time: “Set out for the great city of Nineveh, and announce to it the message that I will tell you.”So Jonah made ready and went to Nineveh, according to the LORD's bidding. Now Nineveh was an enormously large city;it took three days to go through it.Jonah began his journey through the city, and had gone but a single day's walk announcing,“Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed,”when the people of Nineveh believed God;they proclaimed a fast and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth. When the news reached the king of Nineveh,he rose from his throne, laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in the ashes. Then he had this proclaimed throughout Nineveh,by decree of the king and his nobles:“Neither man nor beast, neither cattle nor sheep, shall taste anything;they shall not eat, nor shall they drink water. Man and beast shall be covered with sackcloth and call loudly to God;every man shall turn from his evil wayand from the violence he has in hand.Who knows, God may relent and forgive, and withhold his blazing wrath,so that we shall not perish.”When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way,he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them;he did not carry it out. (Jon 3:1-10)
