The common time of blessing with the Patriarchs was usually right before their death, so that the recipients of these blessings might have them strongly impressed upon their minds and be all the more careful to attend to them. Jacob is said to have blessed each of his sons (as well as the sons of Joseph) in faith because he delivered this blessing when there was no appearance of the fulfilment of it. We must understand that Jacob blessed both the two sons of Joseph under the guidance and inspiration of the Spirit of God, choosing to set Ephraim before Manasseh. And when he delivered these blessings he firmly believed they would be fulfilled, although they were currently residing in a strange and foreign land.

We learn how the patriarchy is so embedded in our brains that even objects are seen as male. We debate whether M&Ms were right to give the green one more sensible footwear. Sarah's mad at Elon Musk for ruining the moon, but she cures herself with a tip for anxiety involving a jar of paper. It was a journey. We hear how crows are helping Swedes clean up their cigarette butts. Susie reveals why smokers are good tippers and we hear why pollution is hurting butterfly noses. Hellllo! Happy Sunday. In this episode I am speaking about something I have been working on within myself & clients this past few months - catching ourselves everytime we are trying to play by the rules of Capalism/Patriarchy/awful structures, and actively releasing our nervous system attunement from doing so. Thus, to take away the power from the system, from within. Because we have ALL the power to do that. I also quote Taylor Swift at the start and nearly tear up when I do. Every couple has implicit power struggles in the different areas of their relationship (sex, money, parenting, looks, intelligence, and so on...).We call this the 95/70 rule.It has been our experience that this dynamic is inherently present and shapes the couples' mutual functioning. One of the ways we have been renegotiating our 95/70 contract in the past year, is by having Galit join Assael's podcast.Reflecting on our journey toward working together, we show how this power dynamic hurts relationships and how to soften this power dynamic in order to deepen intimacy, play, and partnership. For the expanded talk on the 95/70 click here. For registration and more details on the 95/70 power dynamic webinar - click here!Click here to join our mailing list and get free resources on enriching relationships every week to your inbox!Click here for more information on our upcoming online couples workshop.https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/the-other-side-relationshipshttp://podcast.potentialstate.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXwdZhwQFgUcRQgZoI_L2Uwhttps://www.facebook.com/ThePotentialStatehttps://twitter.com/assaelSupport the show (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=Q5AG6K7L8GYKA&source=url)

First up, the 1968 psychological horror, Rosemary's Baby (which is definitely not in black and white). Prepare for Nick and Karilyn to be flummoxed by the colours (what does it all mean!) and the prescient and relevant themes that the film so compellingly explores. Multiple times Karilyn is ready to flip the table in righteous anger. The real horror here is social interactions with the neighbors.

Why burn down patriarchy in religion? Sarah Smith, the host of Theosophia podcast, is passionate about promoting women's voices in theology and in religion. She is passionate about bringing out this perspective, since historically patriarchal religions have long silence, oppressed and marginalized women. Tonight on AVfM radio is the second of two parts on a show comparing two seemingly opposite and oppositional points of view. Girl Writes What, Typhon Blue and John the Other talked last week about our most prevalent and obvious opponents – and the most common point of view of opposition to the human rights of men and boys – and we compared feminism and feminists to the philosophical camp commonly thought of as the political opposite and the natural reverse position to feminism – sometimes sloppily referred to by feminists as the patriarchy. On close inspection, it is obvious that feminism is patriarchy, dialled up, made more violent, less equitable, more socially dysfunctional and ultimately, self cannibalizing. And the faster this can be dragged into the light of common knowledge, the sooner we can – as a culture – get off this self destructive socially toxic hell ride, and hopefully arrange our society along lines a sane person might regard as equitable.
So you say you want a matriarchy, eh? John the Other and Girl Writes What will be examining this question tonight on AVfM Radio. What is the natural outcome of a true matriarchal social system, in which in contrast to property and land being owned by men and passed through inheritance from father to son, it is owned by women, and passed by inheritance from mother to daughter. Idealistic feminists continue to insist that this is a more peaceful and utopian way of doing business for human cultures. Are they right? In tonight's show, we will apply a little bit of logical reasoning, as well as examining the outcomes of some currently extant matriarchal social models in real world application. The answer is unfortunately a violent, socially fragmented social system in which everyone is impoverished, and the most aggressive, violent and predatory men end up on top of it all. Opposing arguments are invited to call in to the show 310-388-9709
