Connecting People to a Life-changing Relationship With Jesus.
Today we are closing out the week with a look at Mark 9:33-37. The disciples are arguing who is the greatest among them. Of course they don't want to tell Jesus that they are talking about that. Jesus flips our economy of greatest to least upside down. It's time to humble ourselves and serve others. The music on the podcast is from John Nugent. Pastor Geoff continues the verse by verse exposition and preaches on TRUE GREATNESS. The Lord Jesus has a discussion with the Apostles in a house in Capernaum. -In this text, we see 2 extremely important lessons for all of us- -1. True greatness is found in being SERVANT OF ALL -vv.33-37--2. True greatness is found in REJECTING COMPETITIVE ATTITUDES -v.38-41--www.CFBCSTL.org

What It Means To Be Great Greatness in God's Kingdom means having the same attitude as Christ. This was an attitude of humble service to God and others. He said the greatest among us would be the servant of all. Philippians 2, also gives us a glimpse into this by explaining that even though Jesus was equal to God, He humbled Himself, taking on the form of a servant and ultimately submitted to death on the cross so that others would receive life. Humble Service We ought to have the same attitude and are called to live a life that is "others" focused. In this episode we talk about different ways to do that and discuss what it means to be great, in God's Kingdom. ENJOY! _________________________________________________________________________ So what did you think? Give us your feedback, email us at SALpodcast@gmail.com Join Our KIDScast Family!
