The plot focuses on a rambunctious young girl named Lucky Prescott moving with her father in a small Western town called Miradero after almost ruining her grandfather's political campaign. While riding a train to Miradero, Lucky meets up with a young Kiger Mustang she calls Spirit. Along the way, Lucky makes friends with two girls named Pru and Abigail as they go through numerous adventures and stopping a group of wranglers who want to steal Sprit and his herd to sell for money. Will the girls rescue Spirit in time? When the movie was released in theaters, it made $42 million dollars out of a $30 million budget. As of 2022, Spirit Untamed is the lowest grossing DreamWorks movie. It had received mixed to negative reviews from critics calling it a tame, underwhelming, and predictable film with cheap looking animation and a downgrade from its predecessor.
