Mack is originally from beautiful Blackshear, GA and has worked with industry legends like Jon Stewart and Baz Luhrmann. Mack is a seasoned Animation Director with two decades of industry experience, known for producing and directing animated content from initial storyboards through to final delivery. His work spans late-night cartoons, commercial motion design, and digital VFX. Satoshi Iwataki, the beloved Attack on Titan, Ghost in the Shell and Berserk animator and animation director, has passed away. Satoshi Iwataki, the animation director behind Attack on Titan and Berserk, has died at 60. On Jan 2, 2024, a post from Iwataki's wife to X (formerly Twitter) revealed that the beloved animator had passed away. The post reads, "I'm Satoshi Iwataki's wife. After fighting illness for 2 months, my husband passed away the night of December 30th. Even on his deathbed, he never lost his composure and passed with consideration for those around him until the very end. I believe my husband, who loved animation, still wanted to create many more works. I thank everyone who cared for and supported him in life." She added in a second post, "Thank you for your understanding." Julia Morizawa is a writer/producer/actress whose work spans all media. Her improvised feature film, JesusCat (or How I Accidentally Joined a Cult), won Best Comedy Feature at the Asians On Film Festival in 2014 and the Movie Heroes Rising Star Award at the Action On Film Festival in 2013. She earned a Best Female Filmmaker nomination at the Action On Film Festival in 2007 for her short, Sin & Lyle. Her play Twenty-Two premiered in Los Angeles in 2010, and her audio drama American Comedy Horror Story: Orphanage, is available worldwide on most podcast apps. Her acting career highlights include Judas Kiss, Scandal, SEAL Team, Masha No Home, Without Annette, Galactic Galaxy, and Star Trek: Odyssey. She is best known for playing the titular Dr. Bright on the hit podcast The Bright Sessions for five seasons and two spin-offs. DRAGONFLY is written, produced, and directed by Morizawa. Executive Producers are Brian Sturges, James Babbin, John Titchenal, Lucas A. Ferrara, Derek Kolterman, and Christopher Luk. Carlos Stevens is an Animation Director, Writer and Executive Producer. He's a former Student Academy Awards nominee for his animated short film Toumai. This achievement kick-started Carlos's career working on a variety of Cannes Gold Lion award-winning commercial campaigns, notably for Sprint and Sony. Additionally, he has directed and designed campaigns for X-Box, Netflix, Marvel, EA, Lexus, SyFy, UFC, Target and many others. His short film titled The Alchemist's Letter, narrated by John Hurt, received critical acclaim and festival recognition worldwide. Carlos previously held directorships at Laika Animation Studios, design powerhouse Elastic, and animation studios Logan and Superfad. He recently directed an episode for season 3 of the acclaimed series Love Death + Robots on Netflix. He also has films in development at Warner Animation Group and is currently EP / Showrunner on an animated series at Nickelodeon / Paramount +.
