Effective leadership requires confidence. Instead of freezing in our steps, with confidence we take that first step when faced with an obstacle. In this webinar, we address a kingly person that anyone would admire – one that there was no one like him, either before or after him, per the Bible. This great individual faced his greatest challenge when an unbeatable foe sent him a letter stating that God could not save him and his kingdom from this foe. It's a heroic story to remind you of what that “confidence” first step should always be when faced with an adversary. And what is it that first step? That absolutely no foe can ultimately win a threat when you place God between that foe and you.

  The boss has known for a month you've got a get-away planned for this weekend. It's midday Friday and you're trying to finish up that final report due before leaving at 5pm today. Once you're “out of here” it's relaxation and freedom for the weekend at your favorite getaway place oceanside. As you're typing your heart out on the computer, you get that pesky Zoom ring indicating your boss wants to talk NOW! So, you reluctantly answer the Zoom call and learn that a major shift occurred in your project, and you'll need to add another section to the report titled, “Next Steps”. You tell the boss you can include a few bullets to address the request, however, the boss says she needs a thoroughly vetted chapter (yes, CHAPTER!) addressing Next Steps and the deadline for the report has been extended to 8am Monday morning to give you enough time to work on the additional chapter over the weekend. On ending the call, your heart sinks – you trusted your boss to honor your get-away time. And now you don't know what to do next.We spend a lot of time “thinking about” our expectations. However, we don't spend much time “evaluating” our expectations – whether they are realistic based on the circumstances (including the people) we are dealing with currently. So, as we want things to work out based on what is in “our head”, disappointment usually awaits around the corner.This webinar addresses how four Bible characters redirected their expectations to make life better. The coworker initially made the one copy, and then said, “I just realized I need to fax the page to another”, then decided they needed several copies of the original for distribution at the upcoming meeting, followed by needing to send faxes to several people. Needless to say, the event continued after you had finished your coffee, and on leaving the area you noticed the “nice” colleague shaking her head in apparent disbelief over what was happening. In this webinar, we discuss individuals from the Bible who put their own desires over others to the point of committing heinous acts. A close friend of yours at the office is struggling regarding whether to apply for an upcoming promotion in your unit.  Of late, it appears that older co-workers are being overlooked. A mood of frustration for older workers is in the air. They feel their experience and skills are not being recognized. In this webinar, we address a middle-aged gentleman who was chosen by God to replace one of the greatest prophets of all. You're walking the floor today at the office and notice several employees are on their cell phones either talking, reading, or shopping. They're so engrossed in their activity that they don't realize that you the boss are looking directly at them as you pass by. You've discussed this behavior repeatedly at biweekly staff meetings and even during one-on-ones. So, today you think to yourself, “Enough is enough”. Production has been suffering of late and upper management wants a plan from you to address how to get production back on track. I'm tired of being constantly challenged on this issue. Thus, it will be tough love for a time going forward. In this webinar, we discuss another culprit who was challenging authority. The gentleman was wealthy, clever, and astute. He even had great leadership capabilities because he amassed 250 community leaders to support his cause. And what was his cause? To challenge two gentlemen that God had put in charge over the Israelites. The moral of the story for us?
