It's bad when I truly believe that I could put the Carolina big men through a beneficial array of offensive drills for a week that could yield visible results in conference play. Who are you DJ Witwicky, one might ask? You quit basketball your senior year on an abysmal squad that went 2-24 the year prior just to chase loose women around town and make regrettable decisions, one might say. One DJ W'sOnlyInTheChat might respond, I've personally brushed shoulders with Tyler Zeller, an academic All-American equipped with the most fantastic Mikan drill a man has ever gazed upon, the world over. I've personally seen gold medalist Harrison Barnes absolutely crush a crab dribble 10 feet from my slackjawed face. The same Harrison Black Falcon Barnes that was guarding Kobe in the infamous Achilles game, the same HB that is a 4-time Iowa state champion alongside Doug McDermot. Tyler Hansbrough reffed one of my pickup games and we had a conversation about Texas ping pong once, so don't you tell me how to put the ball in the basket. Coach Jacobs would be a proud man if he saw me do those drills today. I would say he might even shed a tear but then again it's Coach Jacobs. He doesn't cry, he brings the rain. He'd snap a clipboard and yell at an unathletic freshman, I think, solely for my entertainment. I apologize, the beating that Duke handed Carolina tonight made me crab swirl in the bio. What am I even talking about this is a music show. How wicked nice is that Cascada/Country Riddim mix huh? What serves as a serenity of sound for some, I'm sure, is a superb ear beating for others. Whatever. I liked it. This ignorant never-ending description made me giggle alone in my room. Hope someone enjoyed the installment, new Coffee Stain drop coming later this week k byeeeYour fav local internet disc jockey,Bing Bong Schwarsky

The host's of CSN The Network Podcast return for part 2 of their interview with special guest, PJ Hairston, NBA veteran and Carolina legend. In the second installment of this interview, we take a deep dive into PJ's high school career, his experiences playing in the McDonald's All American game, the Jordan classic game in high school, and his UNC college days as well as his professional playing career. PJ's sophomore year at UNC he was the leading scorer on the team. We talk about his biggest influences on his game, and his biggest influences on him as a man. In this part of the interview, we really focus in on his playing days at the University of North Carolina, some of his biggest moments and experiences that he had at the Dean Smith center, what it means to be apart of the UNC and duke rivalry as well as addressing his final year at UNC with what happened with his eligibility. This was by far one of our favorite guests/interviews we have done as we are UNC fans on the podcast. The way he answered all of our questions, really detailing his experiences at UNC and the teams that he played on, where his team won the ACC title his freshman year. He played with: Tyler Zeller, Kendall Marshall, John Henson, Harrison Barnes, Reggie Bullock, and James McAdoo, all of which made it to the NBA. He played on some of our favorite UNC teams because of the depth of talent that they had. PJ was always a great scorer, and a great shooter, his experiences at UNC and in the NBA helped shape him into a better man, as he is a great dad who provides for his family. Look out for the come back tour as he is training to make his return to professional basketball. As always we appreciate the support, please continue to like, subscribe, share and view the content.

The Celtics and Bucks did battle in Milwaukee last night and the Celtics got their rear ends kicked  by the final score of 116-92 and the Celtics now have a 2-1 series lead going into game 4. From the tip-off the Celtics did not look like the same team that we saw in the Games 1 and 2 in Boston. The same can be said about the Milwaukee Bucks in that case. The 2 teams virtually switched roles as the Bucks became the team that was making the hustling players, making all the passes to get wide open shots, getting physical on defense and causing it to impact its opponent. While the Celtics became the team that was turning the ball over repeatedly, missing a lot of shots, not getting much production from its bench and ultimately it proved costly as the Celtics went down big by 15 by the end of the 1st quarter and never got back into it the rest of the game. The Celtics in the 2nd half tried to make a run after they were down 23 at halftime but the Celtics after making a run to get it down to the lower teens ended up going back down by 20 and never were a threat after that. The Celtics had 4 players in double figures as Horford, Monroe, Tatum and Brown scored 16,15,14 and 11 respectively. While the Bucks had 5 players score in double figures each with 14 or more. The Celtics went into this game not knowing what the Bucks starting lineup would be as the Bucks starting center John Henson would be forced to miss this game due to a back issue. So the Celtics went into this game blind and the Bucks replaced 2 starters as they also took Tony Snell out and replaced Snell and Henson with Tyler Zeller and Malcolm Brogdon. So we will discuss what happened in game 3 with our guest first guest will be Bobby Krivitsky @BobbyKrivitsky Sports director at NewTV...Second guest will be Kevin Dixon, host of the N-The Zone sports radio.... We will discuss should we be worried going into game 4 after this blowout.

Its the 1st day of December. Since our last show which took place on Thanksgiving Day the Celtics played 3 games and now have played 18 games total on the season. The Celtics over the last week took on the Spurs, Heat and Pistons. The big game of those 3 being the Spurs a team which many analysts view as a top 5 team in the league. The Celtics already played 2 top 5 teams in the Cavaliers and Warriors losing both times but losing both games without the services of Al Horford and Jae Crowder. So That Spurs game was the first game against a top 5 team that the Celtics were gonna play with the full roster available and up to that point the Celtics had won 3 straght which were the only 3 games that the entire roster was available. The Celtics in that game against the Heat lost 109-103 in a game that saw them outscore the Spurs 96-87 in field goals but saw the Spurs outscore the Celtics 22 to 7 at the free throw line to win 109-103. The Celtics bench also was outscored by the Spurs bench 30 to 56. That moved the Celtics to 9-7 on the season. The Celtics then 3 nights later faced the Miami Heat. But would have to do it without Al Horford who would be out due to the birth of his child. The Celtics defeated the Heat 112-104 in a game that saw Tyler Zeller start in place of Al Horford. Isaiah Thomas once again led the team in scoring with 25 but was the only player who opted to take a 3 point mentality everyone else was 4 or less as the Celtics got to the line 26 times in this game just 6 less then the Heat who got their 32 times which 22 of those were between Dragic and Whiteside. The Celtics then 2 nights later would take on the same Pistons team in Boston who they had beaten in Detroit 11 nights earlier but this time it was the Pistons who walked away victorious 121-114 as 6 of the 9 Pistons players to play scored in double figures meanwhile Al Horford only scored 9 points on 3 for 5 shooting. We will discuss all 3 games and other Celtics news on tonights show

After an atrocious start to the week for the Celtics, they finished 2-2 and might have possibly found their defensive mojo. We discuss the difference that Marcus Smart and Kelly Olynyk have made in the starting lineup, plus the boost the C's bench has gotten from Terry Rozier, James Young and Tyler Zeller as of late. We're talking Golden State Warriors, who the Celtics will face most likely without Jae Crowder & Al Horford. What does Brad Stevens have to do to beat the 'villains' of the NBA again? The Celtics Talk Crew recaps preseason games 3 and 4 with special guest John Karalis from Redsarmy.com. The Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets 104-86 on Saturday October 8 in a game that saw 4 of the 5 Celtics starters sit as Jae Crowder was the only starter to play in his regular role. This game was a coming out party for Jordan Mickey who led the team with 16 points. Followed by Tyler Zeller, Gerald Green and R.J, Hunter respectively in the scoring department. Then 5 nights later the Celtics took on the Brooklyn Nets down in Brooklyn. The Celtics faced a tougher test then was anticipated from the Nets but still managed to come awat with a 100-97 win over the Nets. This game saw the starting 5 play through 3 quarters and take the entire 4th quarter off leaving the bench with the lead only to see the bench blow the lead and get it back in the final minute off a nice breakaway play that saw Terry Rozier pass the ball upcourt to Jaylen Brown who then attacked the only Nets defender that was back to then pass the ball with his left hand behind the back to a wide open trailing Jordan Mickey for the game winning 2 handed slam. So we will discuss should we be worried about the bench knowing they blew the lead against the Nets or be happy with their progress knowing the Nets had starters playing vs our bench when the bench blew the lead

BOSTON – The Cardiac Celtics gave plenty of scares Friday night, but Brad Stevens' team held on for their lives as they escaped with a 110-101 win over the Chicago Bulls. It was one of the less common than not instances in which the Celtics executed on both ends in crunch time and actually pushed away an oncoming stampede. “Guys were sharing the ball, guys were executing, getting into the right spots at the right time,” Isaiah Thomas said describing the late game performance. “And we played, overall, a pretty good game against a really good Chicago Bulls team. Hopefully we can build on that and get some momentum and get some more wins.” The team's defense was effective, but the Celtics continue to count on Isaiah Thomas to lead the charge late in games. For a team that was labeled as without a star, it seems its Nebula is growing into a White Dwarf. When Jimmy Butler led the Bulls all the way back to a one-point deficit, Thomas was given the ball with the responsibility of making a decaying Celtics offense come back to life. After Jared Sullinger missed his fourth midrange jumper of the half, the Celtics received a gift. Nikola Mirotic beat Kelly Olynyk down the lane in transition for what should have been an easy layup to take the Bulls' first lead of the game. Derrick Rose rifled in a Magic-esque bounce pass, but it caromed off of Mirotic's hands and went out of bounds. Thomas took the inbound, quickly went up court, faked a post-up on Aaron Brooks to open up the baseline and attacked the rim. The rest of the game focused on getting Thomas good looks at the rim. “Just wanted to be aggressive and get to the hoop,” Thomas said. “Like I said, I thought we were settling for a lot of jump shots that we weren't making and they were the more aggressive team. I just tried to make something happen, get in the paint and see what I had.” The Celtics dominated the first half with flashes of brilliance from Winter Storm Jonas Jerebko and should-be-starter Kelly Olynyk. Although Jimmy Butler responded to Dwyane Wade stealing his All-Star starting spot by doing his best vintage Wade impression en route to 28 points and 13 rebounds, the Celtics maintained a consistent double-digit lead. Their defensive effort was persistent, as they forced the Bulls into mediocre shots on most possessions and handled Pau Gasol decently with a frequently changing rotation of bigs. “Well we were guarding them. That was pretty clear,” Stevens said post game. “Usually when you guard, you're locked, you're engaged. And then good things can happen offensively. We were pretty focused on defending at a better level than we've defended in the past week or 10 days.” Their lead continued after halftime as Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley took over scoring duties. But then vintage Derrick Rose showed up to the party. The former MVP scored 16 points in the third quarter on 6-for-9 shooting. He scored in every way, hitting both of his deep jumpers from the left elbow and scoring on three of his four shots at the hoop. Rose's explosion late in the third quarter narrowed the Celtics lead to 90-82 entering the fourth quarter. It seemed like the Bulls were finally turning the tide before Tyler Zeller broke through. Zeller's persistence on the pick-and-roll and hustle on the offensive glass helped the sputtering Celtics offense maintain its lead through the early fourth quarter. He grabbed a pair of offensive rebounds in the run as part of the Celtics' collective 15 rebounds. This was two more than the Bulls, the top rebounding teams in the league. The Bulls made another run to grind the lead down to one. But the Celtics responded with a 10-2 run down the stretch before the Bulls started intentionally fouling. Every time the Celtics found themselves with their backs against the wall, they successfully punched their way out. The Celtics will attempt to travel to Philadelphia at some point this weekend to play their newly scheduled Sunday evening game. But Winter Storm Jonas threatens to ruin those plans. “If there's a window that opens up for us to travel [Saturday] night, we will,” Stevens said. “If not, then we'll just figure out how to get there Sunday as quickly as possible. Obviously, the NBA and we want to be there overnight. But like we talked about before, safety is the number one issue and we'll make sure that's prioritized. Certainly not a lot of people traveling into Philly and DC like we are this weekend.” Besides a few crazy Celtics fans, of course. Thomas had game-highs with 25 points on 9-for-18 shooting and 7 assists. Thomas was in full control of the offense, carving up Philadelphia's athletic but raw defense with his drive and dish game while leading a Celtics transition game that outscored the Sixers 26-7 in fast break points. Third overall pick Jahlil Okafor was unstoppable in his NBA debut, scoring 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting with 7 rebounds and a pair of blocks. His front court partner Nerlens Noel scored 14 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, snatched 3 steals and had a pair of rejections. Tyler Zeller started the game, but didn't return to the floor until the final lineup rotation of the game. Zeller was put in the torture chamber by Okafor in the first quarter. When Amir Johnson proved he could handle Okafor's deceptive body fakes, Stevens stuck with the new signing.     The Garden Report's theme song is "Friends" by Teddy Roxpin.
