The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. We are barrelling towards peak "holiday" season. Kwanzaa, Christmas, Hanukah and some other pagan rituals will have the world's attention for the next 30 days. And the hysteria invariably infects the workplace. Gus recommends avoiding "gift swaps" and other activities that are unrelated to your workplace duties. If you are required to attend a holiday office party, make certain that you are: sober, alert, accompanied by a trustworthy Victim of Racism, and present for a limited amount of time. If alcohol will be consumed during the activities, Gus recommends avoiding the event and announcing your commitment to "dry" December. We'll also re-visist the horrendous shooting at a Chesapeake, Virginia Walmart. 6 people were killed, and four of them appear to be non-white. #IsYourCoWorkerPaytonGendron #TheCOWS13 INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 720.716.7300 CODE 564943#

There were shootings in Virginia Walmart, and then there's the personal stories of suffering that we all live with. Sometimes people say "if God is all loving and all-powerful, he wouldn't allow suffering. Suffering exists, therefore, cannot be all-powerful, all-loving God." How would you answer that? A mass shooting left five people dead and dozens of others injured last week at Club Q, an LGBTQ+ bar that's served as a safe space for the Colorado Springs queer community for over 20 years. Just days later, a gunman opened fire in a Virginia Walmart, killing six people. Both shootings have raised questions about the state of gun violence in the U.S. and how we can prevent such tragedies from happening again. And in headlines: protestors took to the streets in China over the country's strict COVID policies, the U.S. is once again facing a potential freight rail strike, and the Biden administration extended the pause on federal student loan payments.Show Notes:The Colorado Healing Fund: Club Q Shooting Response – https://www.coloradogives.org/story/ClubqGun Violence Archive – https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/Every Last Vote | Vote Save America – https://votesaveamerica.com/every-last-vote/Crooked Coffee is officially here. This weekly broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We'll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS There are no holidays from gun violence and killing in the System of White Supremacy. The Chesapeake, Virginia Walmart was the location of one of the more recent mass shootings. A 31-year-old black male, Andre Bing, is accused of having killed 6 people and taken in his own life in the carnage. Four of the six fatalities appear to be non-white people to Gus. Bing is alleged to have written a "death note" accusing his co-workers of mocking him and calling him cannibal serial killer "Jeffrey Dahmer." Speaking of White traditions, while Jerry Jones's Dallas Cowboys hosted a home tackle football game on Thanksgiving Day for the 56th time since 1966, a Washington Post report showcased a 1957 photograph of a teenage Jones amongst a gang of White Supremacists who are verbally abusing a small group of black students attempting to "integrate" an Arkansas high school. Jones said we're bringing up old stuff and he was just "curious." While the planet focuses on the World Cup in Qatar, black soccer players are constantly subjected to Racial threats and humiliation on social media. Elon Musk, and Whites in general, seem unwilling and/or uninterested in stopping the vitriol. #JohnCrawfordIII #TheCOWS13 INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 720.716.7300 CODE 564943#

It's Thanksgiving -- and you know what that means! It's time for family, feasting, and of course, New York's famous parade. As Americans gather for a third COVID-era Thanksgiving, two other viruses of concern are also spreading -- flu and RSV. In Chesapeake, Virginia, we're learning more about the six people who, police say, were shot to death by a manager at a Walmart supercenter. The suspect in a deadly attack at a Colorado Springs nightclub appeared before a judge for the first time yesterday. We have new details on the Justice Department's investigation into former President Trump's efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. CBS News has learned the DOJ wants to question former Vice President Mike Pence about what happened before and on January 6th. Turning overseas, violent protests erupted on the streets of china in a new explosion of anger at the world's largest iPhone factory, owned by Foxconn. Witnesses say police beat protesters as crowds clashed with officers in white protective suits this week, in a dispute over pay. Russia is being condemned for a new wave of missile strikes that plunged much of Ukraine's capital into darkness. Yesterday's attacks on Ukraine's power grid caused one of Kyiv's biggest outages in nine months of war. At least 10 people were killed in strikes across the country.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
