In recent years, the landscape of home and garden maintenance has undergone a significant transformation, largely driven by advancements in technology and a growing emphasis on user-friendly designs. At the forefront of this evolution are battery-powered tools, which have emerged as a game-changer in the industry, offering convenience, efficiency, and ease of use. The concept of a single battery powering multiple devices is not new; however, its application in outdoor activities has seen significant advancements thanks to Litheli.Battery-Powered Tools for Effortless UseSteve Li's company, Litheli, founded in 2017, epitomizes the shift toward creating lighter, more efficient tools that cater to the modern consumer's needs. The brand's mission is to introduce "new blood" into the tool industry, which has traditionally been dominated by heavier, less user-friendly options. By focusing on lightweight designs and ease of use, Litheli aims to revolutionize how consumers perceive and utilize tools for home and garden care. One of the most compelling advantages of battery-powered tools is their inherent convenience. Unlike traditional gasoline-powered tools, which require cumbersome maintenance and refueling and often produce unpleasant odors, battery-powered alternatives offer a cleaner, quieter, and more straightforward user experience. As Lee points out, the transition from gasoline to battery power alleviates many of the inconveniences associated with traditional engines. Users no longer have to grapple with the hassle of starting a gas engine or dealing with the mess of fuel, making yard work a more enjoyable task.A Powerful New Battery LawnmowerLitheli's products contain innovative features, particularly their new lawnmower, which embodies the principles of efficiency and ease of use. The lawnmower is designed to be the "easiest to use in the history of mowing," showcasing the company's commitment to user-centric design. With a unique "surge panel," users can control speed and adjust the height of the mower electronically, eliminating the need for bending and manual adjustments. This thoughtful design consideration reflects a broader trend in the industry to create tools that cater to the physical limitations and preferences of users. Moreover, incorporating advanced technology in battery-powered tools addresses common concerns about performance. Li notes that many consumers still prefer gasoline-powered tools due to perceived limitations in battery life and power output. However, Litheli's lawnmower is engineered to overcome these challenges. With the ability to surge power output by up to 120% when needed, users can tackle tougher patches of grass or weeds without sacrificing efficiency. This feature not only enhances performance but also empowers users to complete their tasks with confidence and ease.Versatility is KeyAnother significant benefit of battery-powered tools is their versatility. Litheli's product range extends beyond lawnmowers to include portable power stations, battery-powered fridges, and utility wagons designed for outdoor activities like camping. This versatility allows consumers to rely on a single power source for multiple applications, simplifying their lives and reducing the clutter of various tools and equipment. The goal is to provide solutions that cover a wide spectrum of needs, from home maintenance to outdoor adventures. Conclusion: Combining Outdoor Gadgets and Tools for the WinIn conclusion, battery-powered tools represent a significant advancement in the tool industry, offering a blend of convenience, efficiency, and user-friendly design. Litheli is leading the charge by developing innovative products that cater to the modern consumer's preferences and lifestyles. As technology continues to evolve, the future of home and garden maintenance looks promising, with battery-powered tools at the forefront of this transformation. By prioritizing effortless use, these tools not only enhance the user experience but also encourage more people to engage in home and garden activities, ultimately fostering a greater appreciation for outdoor spaces and DIY projects. You can get Litheli's products on the company's store, their Amazon Store, or Walmart Store.Interview by Marlo Anderson of The Tech Ranch.Sponsored by: Get $5 to protect your credit card information online with Privacy. We've had an exciting week in San Francisco, California, where we just wrapped up our Let's Grow! 2024 Walmart Marketplace Seller Summit for small businesses, inventors, and other sellers interested in joining our Walmart.com Marketplace. Marketplace allows us to offer customers hundreds of millions more items than we sell in our stores! For this edition of the Huddle, I talked with Bill Pond, CEO of RTIC Outdoors. RTIC is a digitally-native brand that makes premium products like coolers and cups. They first partnered with Walmart by joining our Marketplace. As you'll hear Bill explain in this episode, that led to more sales and more customers for RTIC, then eventually having their products inside our U.S. stores. Today RTIC's products are sold both in our stores AND our Marketplace, and the two perfectly compliment each other. It was especially fun to record this episode inside Walmart Store 100, which is where I started my Walmart career 31 years ago. So much has changed since then – particularly the opportunities we now have to sell many more items and fulfill many more orders in many more ways. But what hasn't changed? We're still so proud to welcome new sellers with new products, and help them grow WITH us.
Deploying new applications can be tough. Deploying configuration management safely at scale with stores around the world is different. Martin Jackson joins us to discuss.

Did you know that the products you're using on your body can be wreaking havoc on your hormones? While it's hard to believe that conventional beauty companies would ever include toxic ingredients in their products, the fact is that they do—it's still common practice and perfectly legal. To give you an idea of where we are, consider that there are 11 cosmetic ingredients currently banned by the FDA, while in the EU, over 1,300 ingredients are banned. Companies operating in the US face much less stringent regulations than companies operating in the EU do, so US companies continue to pack the products that we use every day (mascara, face wash, conditioner, make up and more) with potentially harmful ingredients that can include known carcinogens, irritants, and endocrine disruptors. On today's episode Cody has invited special guest and expert on clean beauty, Mindy Mackenzie. Mindy currently serves as CEO of Beautycounter, a mission-driven clean beauty company. Prior to Beautycounter, she was Partner & Chief Performance Officer for The Carlyle Group, a global investment firm with over $382 billion in assets. My guest today on Up In Your Business with Kerry McCoy is business magnate and self-made millionaire, Mr. Frank Fletcher. If you have lived in or ever visited Arkansas, then chances are you have patronized one of Mr. Fletcher's many businesses, from hotels and restaurants, to manufacturing, car lots and, yes, even a fur store. Though young Frank had been a successful leader as far back as Junior High, when he made the All-State Basketball team, his big break came when he met Mr. Sam Walton at Walmart Store #2 and developed a lifelong working relationship with the retail genius. Listen to hear a frank conversation with Mr. Frank Fletcher (sorry couldn't resist the pun) about how his life went from farm boy to entrepreneur, and hear the advice he got from Sam Walton that would change his life forever. You'll also find out about his love for owning racehorses, all of which are named Rocket, after his favorite dog.

Retail industry analysts say that rising concerns over theft may have contributed to Walmart's decision last month to shutter its Portland stores. But it's likely not the driving factor.Theft and other crime, the Walmart watchers said, is surely a concern for the chain. But the impact is rarely enough to close an otherwise successful store without warning, and especially without appeals to local officials for assistance.“The decision to close down a store is typically linked to sales,” said Neil Saunders, managing director of the retail division at GlobalData, a market analysis firm, “which often has nothing to do with thefts or shoplifting.”After Walmart announced the pending closure of its two Portland locations, the role of retail theft in its departure took center stage as politicians and commentators sparred over the cause on Twitter. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott took aim at Portland last weekend, blaming the closures on “what happens when cities refuse to enforce the rule of law.”Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, however, disputed Abbott's claim and pointed to the store closures in Texas in recent years, adding, “The retail industry is changing and retail theft is a national issue.”Support the showSign Up For Exclusive Episodes At: https://reasonabletv.com/LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for new videos every day. https://www.youtube.com/c/NewsForReasonablePeople
Mayor Ted Wheeler is firing back at Texas Gov. Greg Abbott who recently blamed the upcoming closures of Portland's last two Walmart locations on the city's apparent lack of law and order.Walmart recently announced the stores at Hayden Meadows and East Port Plaza in Portland would permanently close on March 24. According to a spokesperson, the decision was made based upon “several factors,” including profitability concerns.Although the big box store is closing multiple locations across the country, Abbott took to Twitter and weighed in on the closures in the Rose City.“This is what happens when cities refuse to enforce the rule of law,” the Texas governor tweeted on Sunday. “It allows the mob to take over. Businesses can't operate in that environment, and people can't live in it.”Support the showSign Up For Exclusive Episodes At: https://reasonabletv.com/LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for new videos every day. https://www.youtube.com/c/NewsForReasonablePeople
