Have you ever wanted to watch Mr. Spock go to meeting after meeting after meeting? Then do we have an episode for you! It's “Unification, Part II” and it's an all-new episode of ST:TNGeez, Not . . . NOW!Last time, we waited a whole episode to catch a glimpse of Mr. Spock on Romulus. This time we get a whole episode full of him. Here's Spock in a cave, talking. Here's Spock in a restaurant, talking. Here's Spock in some guy's office, talking. And all the while, Picard and Data are there, sometimes dressed as Romulans, and sometimes not, talking to Spock. So what's all the talk about? Why reuniting the Vulcans and the Romulans into one big, happy, pointy eared family. It seems like there's a movement on Romulus to make it happen with Senator Pardek promising to connect Spock to all the right people, like a group of eager citizens and a smarmy Proconsul. Sounds good, doesn't it? I mean, it's not like the Romulans would be plotting anything underhanded, right? Right? In the meantime, Riker and the rest of the cast are trying to figure out who stole a Vulcan ship from a junkyard. Wait, did we say “Vulcan ship”? A Vulcan ship goes missing while Spock, Picard, and Data are on Romulus talking about reunification? Meh. Probably just a huge coincidence. Anywho . . . Will Picard uncover the Romulan plot? Will Data find a new friend in this old ass Vulcan? Will Spock ever shut the fuck up? Jolan true, Dave!Even more available at: https://tngeez.com
The Enterprise and crew have been coursing around the galaxy, watching dying stars, corking up ship-in-bottle catastrophes, and trying not to have sci-fi adventures -- like in the original series with Kirk and Spock and shit. They aren't going to have any of that here, either, but they will have Spock. Kinda. Maybe. After receiving news that the venerable ambassador might have defected to the Romulan home world, conveniently called Romulus, Picard and Data engage in some Romulan cosplay and take a long, long, long time to finally meet up with everyone's favorite Vulcan. In the meantime, Riker and the rest of the crew are investigating some hijinx in the Federation junkyard because they need to have something to do while Picard and Data are busy making Trek history meeting Mr. freaking Spock! Will Riker and crew discover the secret of the missing junkyard ships? Will Data discover he really likes shoulder pads? Will Picard get any sleep? Find out in this exciting new episode! The Enterprise D decides it's finally time to do something about this genocidal snowflake, and welcomes Dr. Kila Marr, a Xenologist and expert on ole Crysty. To help with the mission, Kennelly adds the notorious Ro Laren to the Enterprise crew. Last time on ST:TNGeez, Not Another Star Trek Podcast, Worf had resigned from Starfleet to fight alongside Gowron in the Klingon civil war. Honestly, if you want to know all the ins and outs of this bloody conflict, you need to listen to the last episode because it's . . . It's a lot. Suffice to say that it's newly ascended chancellor Gowron vs. the Duras family who are being backed by those sneaky old Romulans. Those little stinkers are smuggling supplies to the Duras-es (or Duras family), and Picard just ain't having it. Being the flagship and all, the Enterprise leads a coalition of 20 starships to form a blockade along the Klingon/Romulan border. Try sneaking your cloaked ships past that, Romulans! Of course they do, but little do they know that one of those 20 ships is under the command of everyone's favorite robot, Data! If you ever wanted to see how your favorite robot would drive one of these Galaxy-Classes - well… Robot drives! All this and we haven't even mentioned that Romlan Tasha Yar lookalike, Commander Sela! Ooooooooh no we don't because J'Dan didn't have anything to do with the dilithium chamber. Is there another agent of chaos at large? Red-flippin-alert as the Enterprise D receives yet another distress call. Ardra is her name, and she claims Ventax II and everything on or around it, including the Enterprise! Picard calls bullshit on that! Unlike last time, though, things go cattywampus, and the pair end up ass over tea kettle on a desert planet with a cranky shuttle pilot. K'mpec throws one last curve ball by appointing Picard Arbiter of Succession. It's up to Johnny to navigate the murky waters of Klingon politics while also solving the mystery of who poisoned old man K'mpec. Ever wanted to see Academy Award Winner F. Murray Abraham with a bunch of shit on his face? We'll you're in luck as . . . Data is out of control! Stationed on an unnamed planet on an observation mission, Data blows cover by raging through the small village, shooting his phaser and beating the crap out of his colleagues. He takes his colleagues hostage and fires on ships attempting to approach the planet. When Starfleet Admiral Dougherty informs Picard of Data's actions, the captain and crew blow off their other missions to fly to the rescue. After capturing Data with show tunes and a tricorder, Picard and company beam down to the planet to assess the situation and find a dull and placid settlement of white people in rustic clothing living in a converted outlet mall. But all is not as it seems as the Ba'ku are far from simple proto-Vulan rubes. They are in fact an advanced society that has chosen to retire from the galaxy and live on a planet that keeps them perpetually young. The rings around their planet emit radiation that prevents and even reverses the damage that comes with age, and now the Federation has teamed with a sketchy race of thugs called the Son'A to harvest that energy. There's just one small problem: doing so will make the planet uninhabitable! When Picard finds out what's going on, he decides to defy Dougherty's orders and defend the Ba'ku and the planet from the Son'A with some of the crew while Riker and Geordi take the Enterprise E to alert Starfleet that hijinks are afoot. Will Picard save the planet and its people? Will Data ever redeem himself after going amok? Will Riker shave more than his beard off? Will Troi and Crusher have anything to do at all in the movie? Cue “All Around the Watchtower '' as TNG goes all “Apocalypse Now” on us. The Enterprise is evaluating Angosia III for membership in the federation when their own version of Martin Sheen, Roga Danar, decides to go AWOL and steals a ship only to end up facing off with the flagship of the Federation. After a merry chase, they manage to beam him aboard and wrestle him into submission. While Danar languishes in detention, Troi gets a whiff of his pain, and seeing that he's a fine specimen of man meat, decides to get to know him a little. Troi enlists Data to do some research on Danar and they discover he's Captain Angosia, a bioengineered super soldier with psychological issues that make him explosively violent. Stumbling upon a hold in space, they decide to explore it, getting themselves trapped in it with no way out. The Enterprise discovers a Federation outpost has been all torn up, and the lovely Beverly Crusher uses a blood sample left behind to track down the attackers. It's those pesky Gatherers, a rebellious offshoot of the Acamarians. Picard gets it into his bald little head that he can solve this whole problem by dragging Marouk, Sovereign of Acamar, into peace talks with the Gatherers. Sounds reasonable enough except the Gatherers are rowdy, mullet-sporting goofballs who enjoy Mad Max cosplay, and Marouk is a stone cold square (L7, baby). While Picard is trying to settle a centuries old dispute, Number One is trying to get lucky with Yuta, Marouk's chef and food taster who has a dark secret. Will Picard successfully unite these warring people? Will Riker phaser another notch in his bed post? Will someone tell Brull to get his damned boots off the table? Find out in this exciting episode of ST:TNGeez!
This week the Enterprise's crew find themselves in the midst of a unbelievable situation. Several Starfleet Captains fear something has infiltrated the upper ranks of Starfleet and is slowly but surely taking over. Despite his hesitation, Picard and crew set out for Earth to learn the truth and in turn, find themselves in the middle of a hostile situation. Is Starfleet being takeover, if so by whom? Will Riker get beaten up by an old man? Will Picard kill? Will this episode end in the grossest way? Find out all the answers to these questions and more on this episode of Hailing Frequencies Open.
So the Enterprise stumbles on to what remains of an ancient battle in space, and Picard gets all giddy when they find an old starship from the battle still intact. He beams over with Worf and Data, and they find out the ship was incapacitated by a booby trap that drained its energy and killed all the crew. Good thing that can't happen to the Enterprise, right? RIGHT?! Of course it does, and before you know it, the Enterprise crew is in grave danger. Geordi is tasked with escaping the snare, and decides that the best way to find a solution is in the Holodeck with a recreation of Dr. Leah Brahms, one of the original architects of the Enterprise's warp engine. Can Geordi and his new holo-crush find a way to save the ship in time? Will Picard find any members for his new Ships in Bottles Club? Will anyone remember that there are other crew members on board who can help Geordi, like say, the Mozart of space, time and propulsion? Find out in this exciting episode of ST:TNGeez!
Somebody is always commanding when it comes to Starfleet, despite what the Great Bird thought, and of course it's Picard, no, wait – it's Number One! No, no, actually, it's Data! There's so much God-damned commanding! The Enterprise rolls up on a planet colonized by Earthies but wrongly so and their task is to remove these colonizers before the rightful heir of the planet (the Sheliak) show up to put down roots. For some reason Data alone is sent down to tell the inhabitants of Tao Signa Five that their asses are going to be rescued only to find that Signa Five inhabitants don't care about their asses that much. Meanwhile, up-top, Picard and company decide to head off the Sheliak and negotiate more time for evacuation. Picard has to Picard and God-bless-it he uses his councilor to council! Numbah One shouts orders at the robot they sent to negotiate the evac and Data has to posit-ronally figure out how to evacuate a planet of reluctant colonists all on his own – well, save for the help of his new flirty friend Marjory. Will Picard be able to stave off the impending doom of the colonists? Will Data be able to wake up after his ass gets zapped? Will Diana Troi finally get to shine? (Spoilers – this Empath shines!).
It's season three of a show where a bunch of people are flying around the galaxy doing shit, like watching a dying star collapse! That's right, another dying star! Season three starts as everyone's favorite, a Wesley episode. A Wesley episode? At least the season doesn't start with someone getting impregnated by a wayward entity! Dr. Paul Stubbs is onboard to witness the stellar explosion when the Enterprise begins to go wickity wack for an unknown reason. Just as the head-scratching begins, a young acting ensign realizes it just might be his experiment that's sent the Enterprise into a potential solar death-spiral. Uh-oh, Crusher has released some “Nanites'' that may be fudging around with his favorite Galaxy-Class vessel! Luckily his mom's back on board to become a potential victim! (I mean couldn't he have done these experiments when Pulaski was still on board instead of our beautiful Bev?) Will Picard and crew be able to out-evolve the micro-bots that Wesley Crusher has let loose? Wait, what? Is that the premise of this episode? Will prickly Dr. Stubbs, a character we have zero investment in, be able to see his life's work fulfilled? And how many times WILL Guinan compare Crusher to Dr. Frankenstein?
People on the internet big mad about the season finally of Star Trek Discovery we tell you why. Will Picard cross over with a major DS9 storyline? And who's the better card player in the galaxy Will Riker or Lando Calrissian? This week we find the crew relaxing on a planet of half naked blondes who like to run. Everything is perfect, but things are never quite what they seem. As the Enterprise encounters a mystery in space, things on the planet go from joyful to dire causing a dilemma with little to no way out. Will Picard and the onboard crew figure out the mirage in space? Will the away team save a life? Will Dr Crusher throw something at Data? Who Watches The Watchers! In our "Christmas-themed-but-not-really" episode we're joined by our friend Scott, Star Trek expert extraordinaire, as we discuss one of his favorite TNG episodes! Will this finally be a good Prime Directive episode? Will Deanna escape execution by bow and arrow? Will Picard manage to convince a fledgling civilization to give up on religion? And will Riker find matriarchal polygamy pretty cool? Tune in to find out! So the Enterprise is checking out some volatile planets, and Riker thinks it would be a good opportunity for Wesley to learn how to run a team, so they put him in charge of rock surveys. Wes gets all sweaty overthinking the job and how to deal with commanding people older than he. As all this is going on, Data single-handedly decides the Prime Directive is for suckers, and answers a call from a little girl on Drema 4, a planet on the verge of exploding. Picard pops a vein as Data's actions create all kinds of conflicts for him to navigate when Data wants to help his new friend survive. Will Wes be able to lead his team without pooping his too tight pants? Will Data get to save his little friend? Will Picard ever be able to take a minute to ride his horse or read a book?
Time Squared! Another crazy time-travel romp, but this time for only six hours from the future! Will Picard be able to figure out his future self before the Enterprise explodes? Will Riker ever be able to make a decent omelet? And what fantastical alternate realities has Ricardo cooked up this time? Tune in to find out! The Enterprise heads to Gravesworld, home of famous genius, Ira Graves, to answer a distress call from his assistant? Companion? Whatever the Hell, Kareen. Graves is dying, and in a last ditch attempt at immortality, Graves secretly transfers his consciousness into Data, taking over the shared body and confessing his love to the much younger Kareen. Will Picard be able to convince “Graves” to leave Data alone? When did Jonny get so handsy, anyway? Will Data settle for a goatee?
The Enterprise encounters a cargo ship in distress and beams over its captain, Thadiun Okona, a self-described flamboyant and rakish character with an eye for the ladies. While Geordi works on repairing the damaged part from Okona's ship, the bounder lives up to his rep by cutting an erotic swath through the Enterpise's female crew. Meanwhile, Data explores the nature of humor, foolishly summoning a mid-1980's comedian to give him lessons on the holodeck with input from Guinan. Just when it seems like the episode couldn't get any sillier, two ships pull up to the Enterprise demanding custody of Okona. One ship from Atlec wants him for knocking up a woman and the ship from Straleb wants him for stealing a jewel. Picard has to decide which claim to honor, if in fact, he honors either. Will Picard send Okona to certain doom? Will Data find a better comedy role model? Will the people who wrote this episode ever get laid?

After we enjoy Worf and Riker getting some vigorous exercise in the holodeck, we get to see the Enterprise D encounter an anomaly in space, an area of blackness without matter or energy. They move in to investigate, and before they know it, they are trapped in the void, unable to escape no matter what they try. Soon they’re exchanging fire with a Romulan Warbird and coming face-to-face with their sister ship, the USS Yamato. Picard and crew deduce they’re being toyed with by unseen forces and begin to resist by not responding. The unseen reveals itself to be an entity calling itself Nigilum who intends to explore the meaning of death for mortals by killing up to a third of those aboard the Enterprise. Will Pulaski stop being so mean to Data? Will Picard blow up the Enterprise, or will Nigilum release the ship? Will Riker stop taking Worf with him into stressful situations? Will the next episode be the adventures of Mr. Hom and a talking plate?
While the Enterprise D is once again on the way to get some R and R, the crew receives a Code 47 priority message for Picard’s eyes alone. On remote and desolate Dytallix B, Picard meets with three esteemed Starfleet captains, including his old friend, Walker Keel, who warn him that something is askew in the Federation--a vague and mysterious threat they feel has spread throughout the fleet. Picard begins to take the whole affair seriously when the Enterprise finds itself flying through what’s left of Keel’s shit, the Horatio. When Data reports that he has found evidence of a very subtle and insidious plan to weaken Starfleet, Picard and company head to earth, looking for answers. Will the Enterprise crew be able to save the galaxy from this mysterious menace? Will Riker ever get through an episode without getting his ass kicked? Will the crew ever get R and R? Will Picard ever get a decent meal?
The Enterprise shows up in a solar system where the star is going all wacky so they can observe some never before observed solar activity. Very BURSTY! If an episode of space action in which the Enterprise gets disabled by a solar flare and has to figure out how to escape a star is what you’re after, you will be sadly disappointed. Instead of sci-fi space action, we get a hold-over episode from the “War on Drugs” campaign from the earlier half of the 1980’s, invoking the powerful message of Nancy Reagan: “Just say no”. The Enterprise gets a distress call and tries to rescue the freighter Sanction, which has been caught by the star’s magnetic field. After a dopey exchange with the crew of the Sanction, the Enterprise rescues the crew members they can grab via transporter before the ship explodes. They beam in two races of people: the Brekkans and the Ornans who have a complicated relationship based on drugs, exploitation, and Nancy Reagan! Will Picard and Bevelry endeavor to solve the drug war between Brekka and Orna? Will Deana Troi intuit a single sinister thing being hidden from her Captain? Will Will get his ass shocked by an electro-powered Brekkan? Episode number twenty-one has answers to most of these questions.
The Enterprise D orbits Relva VII as young Wesley Crusher tests for entry into Starfleet Academy, competing against three other promising candidates. Meanwhile, the Enterprise crew finds itself subject to a surprise inspection from Starfleet Command under orders from Picard’s old friend, Admiral Quinn. A cocky young officer named Remmick represents the Inspector General’s office and subjects Riker and the rest of the bridge crew to a demanding interrogation focusing on the fitness of Capt. Jean-Luc Picard. What is the mystery at the heart of the investigation? Will Picard be compelled to leave the Enterprise? Will Wes get lucky? And will he also pass the exam and become Starfleet’s newest recruit?
*Spoiler Alert* Before this podcast officially began, one fine morning in March Chad Radford and Jacob Chisenhall sat down to ruminate over everything that happened in Picard season 1... This is that very conversation. Shields up for spoilers, cuz we're not afraid to tell you how cute Isa Briones looks in all that gold paint. Will Picard live on to see another season? Do ALL or ANY of the loose ends get tied up? Dr. Agnes Jurati is still a murderer, right? Let's talk about it !
Picard's pals finally make it to synthville and the Romulans are on their way. Will Picard have enough time to change the synth's minds and get ready for the all out assault that is on its way? When the orchids bloom and a new planet is found J.L. and Co. have two spots to visit before the Romulan's arrive. But when Synthtopia turns out to be a little more like Rubicun III this penultimate episode goes in a direction you may not have expected. Will Picard have to share a cell? Do all synths share a cell? If a synth can mind meld, what does that say about Vulcans? It's the episode that's possibly the evil twin of a two-parter!Support our show.

After a brief hiatus the Regular Joe’s are back in the saddle. At the mid-season point in the long anticipated Star Trek: Picard, the Joe’s check in on what they think of the series so far. Clearly much has changed in the decades since ST: The Next Generation ended it seven year syndicated mission. Both the Star Trek universe and how television shows are created and presented have evolved in that time. Will Picard bold go, and find success, in this new and uncertain storytelling frontier, or will it be forever linked to the past? Also, a few months back Barry advised Dave and Tod to avoid Terminator Dark Fate, much as most of the movie going public did. This week they finally got around to checking it out. The results are surprising. Particularly to Barry. All this, plus the usual random topics and a round of What’s in the Box. As Always, you can check out pics of our What’s in the Box items at regularJoe’s.com. Thanks for listening!

Logan and Picard. Star Trek—and its actors—don't exist in a vacuum; the cinematic and television styles of the time are reflected in its storytelling. Star Trek: Discovery has been darker than most previous series, and it sounds like Star Trek: Picard will have its difficult moments as well. In 2017, James Mangold's film Logan, set in the world of the X-Men, changed expectations of what a comic book movie could be. It also gave audiences a conclusion to the story of Patrick Stewart's Professor X. Will Picard follow in Logan's footsteps? In this episode of The Line, hosts Brandon-Shea Mutala, Justin Oser, and Chrissie De Clerck-Szilagyi chat with Mike Schindler about Logan. Did the prospect of a satisfying conclusion to the story influence Patrick Stewart as he considered whether to step back into Picard's shoes? Will Star Trek: Picard receive a mature rating like Discovery and Logan? And, perhaps most importantly, should we expect an end to Picard at the end of Picard? And now the conclusion! Will planet earth be saved? (Of course it will.) Will Picard be saved from the Borg collective? (Of course he will.) Will we see a massive shift from the status quo? (Of course we won't.) Will Mark and Drew take the piss out of it? (Of course!) Following this, our Borg retrospective will take a short break as we cover some good old fashioned Hallowe'en horror. Next week we get into Voyager's "The Thaw", followed by the original Ridley Scott Alien. Then, just in time for the release of Terminator Dark Fate, we spend nearly two hours discussing the first two Terminator movies!
