In a world that hates and fears them, only four people are brave enough to stand up in public on the internet and rank the fuckability of 21 of Marvel comics most fuckable team, the X-Men. Chris Sims, Dan, Kam Servo, and MeganBob enter the bedroom with characters ranging from Cyclops to Emma Frost to Magneto to Storm, and come out the other side with definitive rankings that you, the internet public, are just going to have to live with. No, it's not about what they look like. It's about what they bone down like, and oh my goodness do they bone down! The X-Mansion rings out with cries of pleasure, and, let's be honest, more than a little bafflement (just what can't magnets do?) and we're here to deliver all the juiciest details to you. Learn all about why Storm is the answer to everyone's prayers, why we're hot (or not) for blue fur, and why Chris Sims is both gifted and cursed with knowing the true number one fuck on any given list of characters. Hey bub, subscribe, tune in, and discover why we should really just call them the XXX-Men. "Comrades, let us all work together!" Jenny and Tim welcome Keith Langston back to the show as we cover the 8th episode (or 10th, depending on when you first saw it -- more on that below) of X-Men: The Animated Series! And it's no respite for our world-weary heroes, as they are flung from one crisis to the next. While the wrecked X-Mansion sets off television's most obvious whodunit, we can excuse this for likewise providing a handy excuse to introduce dual guest stars Colossus and the titular Juggernaut. Given the participants, this one doesn't exactly have high ambitions at being anything other than a massive throwdown. Consequently, it makes for the most boilerplate episode of TAS to date, in the sense that the show can't be said to be doing anything much different than a standard Saturday morning action vehicle. At a push, one could say that this does continue to keep some focus on human-mutant relations, by way of Colossus' quick payday and angry reprisals from the workers whose job he unwittingly swiped. It serves as a minor counterargument to Genosha's extreme answer to the question of mutation's economic utility. Why impose outright slavery when mutants are willing to be exploited and happy to be compensated for a fraction of what it would cost to employ a larger, human workforce? An all-too American solution, but not without its consequences, as the idealistic immigrant Colossus soon learns. There's also Juggernaut's single line clarifying that isn't a mutant, despite assumptions to the contrary. Still, this doesn't especially change his perception or treatment at the hands of the X-Men or the authorities. Nor does Juggernaut seem to hold any particular animus towards mutants, in a somewhat interesting change of course -- this one's personal for him. Beyond these minor signposts -- and a rather generic theme emphasizing the power of teamwork -- there's not a lot here to elevate "The Unstoppable Juggernaut" much above the surface. That doesn't mean it isn't thoroughly entertaining, delivering on the expected action, turning in some genuinely clever one-liners, and putting in work with a memorably imposing score. Plus, we get a delightful surprise check-in with the imprisoned Beast, keeping his subplot alive. So after coming in hot, this installment ultimately pumps the brakes at least somewhat on the show's otherwise rapid-fire pace. While the matter of Professor Xavier's absence remains to be addressed, we at least know it is of his own volition, drawing a line under the nonstop conflict and dramatic cliffhangers for now. A welcome breather, then, in as much as any massive slugfest with the Juggernaut can be. X-TRA: "The Unstoppable Juggernaut" was delayed by animation issues and was originally shown slightly out of order, as discussed by the crew. That necessitated some hasty edits to episode 7's conclusion as it was first broadcast, in an effort to smooth over the continuity. The result was an even more confusing viewing experience by the time this episode did debut, following “The Cure” and “Come the Apocalypse.” For the alternate ending of "Slave Island," aired once and never again, check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS8RHoTAh14. FINALLY, Stick around for our quick-hit impressions, predictions, and BIG FEELINGS on episodes 1-5 of the sensational X-Men '97!

Feeling rejected, Wolverine leaves the X-Mansion on a search to find some inner peace. Meanwhile, the rest of the X-Men are sent by Professor X to investigate the island of Genosha, a seemingly pleasant vacation destination rumored to be welcoming to mutants. Both quests raise tensions related to ingroup and outgroup relationships. Dr. Drea also revisits the practice of "trigger warnings" and whether those disclaimers are necessary or effective. My sister Ginny flies in from the X-Mansion to help me get hyped for the upcoming MCU debut of not just Deadpool but Wolverine! And not only that but it's Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman! Total win for the fans!
Time for a mandatory episode in which Wolverine fights Sabretooth and has nine flashbacks to Weapon X. Nine! Nine flashbacks! We can't do this anymore, Logan. Neither can Hank, who gets a talking-to from Rogue for putting up with Logan's bullshit. Meanwhile, Kitty and Bobby are organizing the X-Mansion library according to how gay each book is, and we'd rather watch an entire episode about that. Kurt tries to figure out his old rival's political motivations, and so do Maddy and Ryan, because Wolverine and the X-Men doesn't make it clear. Meanwhile, Mystique heads to the X-Mansion in disguise and, after messing around and kicking everyone in the face, heads back to Genosha and ensures Kurt's kidnapping. Why is Kurt getting kidnapped? This time on the Couch: Mike, James, and Shée wring the tears out of their fur after reading What If... no. 9! In a wacky alternate universe where actions have consequences, Professor Xavier manages to get all of the gullible suckers who signed up for his whole "X-Men" scam killed on their very first mission! All except for Beast, who's left his sweet "no-pants-required" gig at the Avengers to push a mopey Xavier around his X-Mansion/tax shelter for the rest of their lives. Things are going about as well as you'd expect, until a global threat forces Xavier to put together a new, equally inexperienced team! I'm sure it'll be fine: They say after you've gotten a dozen or so people killed you really start to find your footing.
The Superhero Show Show #420DMZ's Nuts It's the premiere of DMZ! Plus The Boys Presents Diabolical, X-Men: The Animated Series, and so much more on an all-new The Superhero Show Show! On an all-new The Superhero Show Show, Mike and Ryan are left alone to discuss this week's shows. First up is a review of the first episode of DMZ on HBO Max. Mike has been waiting for this show for years. Will it live up to the hype? Ryan didn't read the comic, so he doesn't care about any of it, but the stakes are high for Mike. At one point, Ryan says that Benjamin Bratt is living up to his name by acting like a brat on the show, and this will be funnier than anything Mike says at any point. Next up is the Pull List, with conversations about this week's episodes of Snowpiercer, The Walking Dead, Resident Alien, and The Flash, plus the third and fourth episodes of The Boys Presents Diabolical! Finally, the Taste Budz head on down to X-Tazmania to discuss the season 3 episode The Juggernaut Returns! Cain F&%#ing Marko comes to the X-Mansion to make Charles Xavier's life suck, a promise he made to Charles when they were both boys. But when Juggernaut loses his powers to a straight up 90's nerd, will Professor X and the X-Men fight to help Juggie get his powers back, or will they just leave him to die? Cyclops is Waiting for Me - An X-Men: The Animated Series Weekly Recap
Deadly Reunions splits the X-Men into two epic confrontations against two of their most infamous villains. On one side, Cyclops, Rogue, Storm and Xavier try to stop Magneto as he continues his assault on humanity at a chemical plant. On the other, Wolverine and Jubilee clash with Wolverine's oldest foe, a bloodthirsty Sabretooth who has played possum to infuriate the X-Mansion on behalf of (you guessed it) Magneto. Cyclops is Waiting for Me is our weekly podcast series where we are going back and watching EVERY-SINGLE-EPISODE of the original 1992 X-Men: The Animated Series in their original intended script order building up to the release of X-Men 97', coming to Disney Plus. "Cyclops is Waiting for Me" Theme written and performed by Ron Wasserman (ASCAP) and Rod Kim (ASCAP)

And this is where the first seed is planted for the Age of Apocalypse! While in Tel Aviv, Legion has a vision of Destiny from beyond the grave, telling him that in order to seek redemption he has to help his father aka Xavier achieve his dream of peaceful co-existence between humans and mutants! Meanwhile, at the X-Mansion the X-Men are up to a whole lot of 90s shenanigans: Jean and Psylocke are psychically training and talking about Scott, Rogue and Iceman are by the pool throwing shade at each other, and Gambit is going toe to toe with Sabertooth! THE DRAMA! THE FASHION! THE FIGHTS! Buckle in, our AoA read BEGINS NOW!
Today our Merry Mutants are truly down on their luck... not only is the X-Mansion nearly robbed, but the kids realize that, without Professor X -- they're dirt poor! So, what is a hero to do? Why, head down to the Welfare Office in your Rolls Royce to beg for some cash! And no, I'm not joking... The X-Men also look for some blue-collar work, and take part in the most touching Father and Son reunion this side of that episode of Saved by the Bell when Zack's dad wouldn't take him fishing. All of the X-Men are secretly banging each other while being jealous about it. Bobby breaks off his engagement with Poochy, who cheats on him with Warren and half of the men in the X-Mansion. Instead of dealing with any of their problems with each other, Poochy and other X-Men start participating in a secret underground Fight Club run by Silver Samurai and the Krang, and then they bang some more. Eventually all of the secret banging and fighting explodes into a hellish warzone when Tora decides it's time to kill Kitty over her relationship with Nightcrawler, and all of the X-Men lose it in one intense Dr. Phil power battle. Not even the cast of Resident Evil, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon or Gargoyles can stop them, which is important because they are all here now. Mr. Sinister uses this moment to turn Boom Boom into an actual bomb. Things get so out of control that Jan has to summon the actual JUSTICE LEAGUE to stop the X-Men from fighting each other. Till Death Do Us Part is a series of 2 episodes in the animated TV series X-Men Animated Series. The episode begins with Wolverine in the Danger Room training against robots that look like Cyclops, clad in a tuxedo. Meanwhile, Jean Grey and Cyclops are getting married. Jean throws the bouquet for the girls (Jubilee attempts to restrain Rogue from flying and cheating), but the flowers fall on top of a box that Beast was carrying. After the wedding is over, the reverend transforms back into Morph. He is still deeply disturbed at the fact that he was left behind to die (this happened in the Night of the Sentinels (Part 2) episode after he was shot and the X-Men thought he was dead). Still clad in her wedding gown, Jean goes to the Danger Room and apologizes to Wolverine. The president pardons Beast of all the charges against him and he is released from prison. Graydon Creed, who is the leader of Friends of Humanity, sends in one of his men dressed up as a mutant to terrorize everyone. Soon the Friends of Humanity start anti-mutant riots.Morph is appalled by this and does not really desire revenge on his former allies, but he has developed a split personality with his evil personality being dominant. He poses as Magneto and sends a fake distress call to Professor X, saying he needs his help and is in some kind of trouble in Antarctica. So, Xavier goes after him alone and tells the X-Men it's a personal matter.Gambit, Beast and Wolverine go to a bar to play pool, where the Friends of Humanity attack them. Clayton Creed records the attack on video and uses the footage to slander Beast, as he appeared to be involved in a riot and terrorizing civilians. Wolverine gets mad at hearing this and goes out for a drive.Morph transforms into Wolverine and gets inside the X-Mansion. He then transforms into Rogue and tells Gambit that she is able to touch other people. Gambit unwittingly later goes up to the real Rogue, kisses her, and falls unconscious.Meanwhile, Morph transforms into Storm and tells Jubilee to go to a place to protect some mutants. It was a trap, as Morph had sent her to the headquarters of Friends of Humanity, where she was recognized and caught. After hearing of another riot, Storm and Rogue go to stop them. Storm was badly injured when Morph transforms into the police chief and orders everyone to shoot her. Storm is taken away in an ambulance. Mister Sinister is revealed to be monitoring the whole process and then the episode ends in a cliffhanger.

In "SpykeCam," Spyke's history teacher gives him a video camera and he immediately uses it to blow up Logan's spot with Sabretooth. Our goofy teenage fanfiction takes a very dark turn in this episode. Professor Xavier hires a bunch of his evil buds to come over to the mansion, and slaps power dampeners on everyone to straight up start torturing all of the X-Men in horrible and brutal ways. Xavier implements what he calls "The ISO Chambers", in which various X-Men are tortured and punished for not doing exactly what he wants in his mutant agenda. There is a lot of physical, mental and emotional violence in this episode coming from Xavier, just as a heads up. Somehow Poochy and Bishop are some of the few left to save the X-Men, and to also bone on the side. Bishop can't figure out what's going on and Poochy is comically stomping around the vents of the X-Mansion to break into the ISO chambers. Emma does all of the heavy lifting until eventually it is revealed that Xavier was "possessed by the Hellfire Club", but it was clearly just Xavier being Xavier. We are not sure what was going through Ryan's teenage goth head at the time, but we theorize it's a product of not being able to easily come out of the closet 20 years ago, and he had to internalize his own feelings while witnessing what tragedies the LGBTQ community has had to endure over the years. Back in September 1995, the Spider-Man animated series did a crossover with X-Men: The Animated Series, starting with Spider-Man learning he's mutating and then going to Professor Xavier for help. Unfortunately, instead of just calling Xavier on the phone, Spider-Man breaks into the X-Mansion, and for some reason he's surprised that the X-Men attack him. Good news, though. This episode's really gay. It's also a two-parter, so we'll be back next week with our thoughts on the second half. Next week's episode: "Mutants' Revenge," Spider-Man: The Animated Series E-mail us your feedback at themutantages@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter at TheMutantAges, MIDImyers and RyanPagella. As the world hunkers down into a pandemic-created quarantine, we've decided to spend this valuable time diving into one of the strangest pieces of X-Men history, the April 1983 one-shot "Obnoxio the Clown vs. The X-Men." This issue saw the mascot of the then recently-cancelled Marvel humor magazine "Crazy" invited to the X-Mansion to perform for Kitty Pryde's birthday. Unfortunately, he just so happens to arrive at the same time a bizarre villain named Eye-Scream is planning an attack on the X-Men....and (allegedly) wacky hijinks ensue. We discuss both the one-shot and the history of the Obnoxio character in general, in order to decipher why this issue even happened, and why Obnoxio is mostly forgotten about today. Plus, we of course have to talk about the recent coronavirus cancellation of THE NEW MUTANTS' upcoming release. Is this movie truly cursed? facebook.com/daysoffuturepodcast Twitter & Instagram: @dofpodcast

Ryan and Maddy reach the end of season two of X-Men: The Animated Series, and as usual, the show brings its two-part finale to a delightful conclusion. We're back to discussing our problematic fave Mr. Sinister and queer-coded villains, for the billionth time, but we spend most of the episode giggling about the over-the-top sex dungeon that the X-Men have ended up in. The Nasty Boys make their final fantastic appearance, Rogue and Gambit share a rare non-lethal kiss, Wolverine gets some jungle strange (bye-bye Morph, helloooo Ka-Zar!), and when all's said and done, Xavier heads home to the X-Mansion. Sigh. The good times couldn't last forever. X-Men Spotlight: Vertigo, the nausea-inducing dominatrix! Next week, we revisit X2, the 2003 sequel to the first live-action X-Men movie. Hawkeye leaves the team in a huff. On the plus side, he goes back to his old costume. On the not so plus side, he has to fight a nine foot tall guy who calls himself Champion and wants to blow the west coast off the country. Then Magneto bull rushes the X-Mansion and the team scrambles to stop him and his weird mind control powers before it's too late (spoiler alert: they beat the clock).
In which our heroes set the danger room to romance, telepathically pour a class of champagne and rearrange the molecules in a strawberry to turn it into chocolate all the while wondering why Rogue doesn’t just use protection. We look at the many benefits of Leech, get into a small argument over Rogue’s real name, and discuss the transition from the X-Mansion to the SeX-Mansion. Jackson is forced to eat spiders, Zammit solves the problem straight off the bat, and Duscher is just straight brick-dickin’. So write down your peculiar sexual needs, send off an email to Tony Stark, and wait patiently for him to solve your very specific problem. Want to help build a machine for letting rogue bang? In which our heroes open the fridge, consider exercise, and decide teleportation is much easier. We discuss Joel Duscher’s patented Mutant Bird Theory, the X-Mansion patented Food-Ball, and how unlike a school Xavier's School for Gifted Students really is. Jackson can't imagine Scott Summers stopping in for a sneaky Maccas run, Zammit discovers he smoked cigarettes wrong, and Duscher decides to educate the gang on the nature of antibiotics. So turn the Danger Room into a gym, pluck an apple from Xavier’s orchard, and try not to turn your mutant powers into a crutch. It’s time to save the world and there’s no short cuts when the stakes are this high. Want to help Xavier cut down on his food bill?
