David is a best selling author, podcast host, retreat leader and spirit channel. Ever since David was a child he has received downloads of Universal Wisdom that he has coined as The Stream. These downloads of wisdom are lessons that have helped David overcome a turbulent childhood & live his fullest life today! Now he is working with others to help people overcome what he calls “abundance blocks” through a practice he and the Stream co-created called The Tya Practice. Goodness, David and I talked about so many things today so where do I even begin?! We talk about the law of attraction, the famous channel Esther Hicks and how she inspired David with his own channeling experience, consistent lessons that the Stream downloads into David, and we end by taking about how we can get to the root of unwanted patterns that play on repeat in our lives and take back our own POWER. Power is the word that keeps coming to mind when reflecting back on this amazing conversation. David has faced a lot of adversity in his life, but he has chosen time and time again to view these adversities with gratitude for what they have taught him in this life. We have the choice everyday to feel like we are the victim or we are the creator of our own story. ***SHOW NOTES*** Our guest today is Novalee Wilder. Awesome name, right?! Well, Novalee actually wasn't born with that name… she gave it to herself. She chose to rename herself because her born name held too much weight, too much heavy energy that wasn't serving her. Since her speciality is helping people release their heavy name vibrations and discover names that better suit them, I asked her what energy MY name holds. It's pretty interesting, to say the least. Before I start losing you, l really encourage you to keep an open mind, here! I'm not saying you should consider changing your name. ***SHOW NOTES *** Today's episode is more important than EVER because the pandemic has forced so many of us to spend more time in our homes. Now that people are getting vaccinated, the world is starting to go back to “normal”, but I still feel even with this shift, there is a change that is here to stay, and that is doing more things at home. Cooking at home. Watching newly released movies at home. I can hear all of my fellow homebodies rejoicing!!! With us spending more time at home, most likely, it's crucial for us to make our home FEEL like a home. For it to feel like our safe space instead of just a place we lay our head at night. Helen Butler, our guest today, refers to your home as a SANCTUARY. Helen's work is in helping people create a sanctuary within their home by uncovering their specific “sanctuary language” and then cultivating a space around that language. Helen even explains that there is our external sanctuary, which is our home, but also our internal sanctuary, which works hand in hand with our external one. Another important aspect of creating a safe sanctuary space is elemental space clearing. Helen works in energetically clearing the space of someone's home, even from thousands of miles away! She explains exactly what this process is and how it is done. ***SHOW NOTES *** Yoga… what comes to mind for you when you hear the word “yoga”? If you are currently a yogi you might be thinking of how good it feels to sweat it out on the mat. If you're NOT a yogi, you might be thinking of a bunch of people, crammed into a hot room, walking around with no shoes on, stretching and doing nothing. What if I told you, though, that there's some special power in the practice beyond stretching and meditating with a bunch of bare-footed strangers?... Our guest today is Joy Stone, and in today's episode, Joy will walk us through how the postures in yoga are designed to help us release stuck energy and connect to deeper parts of ourselves. As I have deepened my yoga practice, I realized that there are deep philosophies rooted in yoga that date back many years. Joy breaks out what those philosophies are and how we can apply them off the mat as well. She is also the author of the book If I'm So Spiritual, Why Am I So Anxious, so we end by discussing how yoga gets us out of our anxious minds and back into our bodies. There's an actual science behind this traditionally “woo woo” practice, and I needed to get to the bottom of it. Let me give you a run down on what you're going to learn today. Our guest, Lisa, breaks down for us what is happening on a mental, physical and spiritual level when we meditate. There are actually a lot of different types of meditations, including more active forms. Lastly, we touch on how we can incorporate meditation into our daily habits so it becomes routine and a new way of living.

We are creatures of habit, and one of the biggest examples of this is how we play these negative patterns on repeat in our lives, sometimes without even realizing we are doing it. We all know that person who always needs to be in a relationship, and the second they break up it seems like the next week they are with someone else, repeating the cycle. Does this ring a bell? Or the biggest pattern that comes to mind for me is the weight loss cycle. January 1 rolls around, the gyms are packed, Eat Clean Bro’s business is booming, and the weight is coming off. A few months pass then that person you know who lost all that weight has gained it back plus some. These are only 2 of so many self-sabotaging patterns people let run on repeat in their lives. Even if these 2 examples don’t apply to you, i bet if you really think about it… there’s a pattern in your life that you can’t quite seem to shake. We all have them! So where do they come from, and why do we feel stuck? Today’s guest, Connie-Anne Holman, is a heart-centered therapist who has been fascinated since she was a child at why people operate the way they do. She quickly observed that experiences from people’s childhoods were the cause behind these limiting beliefs & patterns… Connie came to understand the truth that at everyone’s core, we just want to feel accepted & worthy. When a situation happens in our childhood that causes us to doubt this… we suppress and then it pops up in adulthood through dysfunctional patterns and negative beliefs about ourselves. The mission behind today’s show is to become aware of these patterns and STOP them. We will touch on: How to stop looking on the outside to fix your stuck patterns and get to the root of the limiting belief (aka stop treating the symptom and get to the reason) The benefits of seeing a therapist or coach to help dissolve these beliefs The 2 emotions that will keep you stuck… How important journaling can be to your healing & dissolving of old beliefs... ***SHOW NOTES*** EXCLUSIVE EPISODE ACCESS Thank you for supporting the show! Today’s episode is about a topic that has been pretty taboo up until recently. Psychedelic drugs have been viewed in a bad light by society for so long, but people are starting to get curious as to how these psychedelics like magic mushrooms & Ayahuasca can heal when used properly. I’ve seen first hand the healing powers of these drugs on shows on Netflix. The Goop Lab with Gwenyth Paltrow came out last year and the very first episode features Goop employees traveling to a facility in Latin America where they drank mushrooms in tea form with trained facilitators. Even more recently, a new show on Netflix called [UN] well has an episode dedicated to Ayahuasca. We are entering an age where knowledge of the healing power of these mind-expanding drugs are becoming more accessible. As some people like to say, we are in the “psychedelic renaissance”. Before saying more I want to make very clear that by no way is the information shared in this episode today medical advice, it is simply our guest’s personal experience & story. That’s what we do on this podcast, we share stories, and today’s story is all about Saare Elizabeth’s healing experience with psychedelics. As always, you should consult a medical professional for advice; this episode is for informational purposes only. Through Saare’s psychedelic experience there are amazing learnings. One of my favorites from Saare’s Ayahuasca experience is that we all have a ‘dark’ side, but that ‘dark’ side should not be labeled as bad. Like everything else in nature, our soul needs to find balance between the light and dark, good and bad. Saare explains how to accept the ‘dark’ side of us with love & acceptance. Saare also opened my eyes to how Mother Nature can be used as a healing tool. Saare calls psychedelics “plants of the spirit”. This is a mind-expanding episode that, if you approach with an open mind, will leave you with a different perspective on another way our bodies can heal in addition to traditional medicine. ***SHOW NOTES*** MEDICAL DISCLAIMER This content should not be used as a substitute for medical advice. Today’s story is… so many things. It’s raw and emotional. It’s also inspirational & hopeful. Most importantly… it’s a brave & vulnerable story. Kelley’s story is why I started this podcast. To share people’s stories, the good and bad, to show that through hard times, and the good times, too, there is so much growth & learning, which propels us into better version of ourselves. I met today’s guest, Kelley Farrell, in a Facebook group that I’m in called “Find a Guest, Be A guest” and it’s essentially a space for podcasters to either find guests for their own shows or pitch themselves to be on other shows. One day I was playing around in this group, trying to find some new guests for the show, and Kelley’s name popped up. She introduced herself and gave a little background, but the phrase that stood out to me was this, and I’m paraphrasing here: She said, “I was in a psychologically abusive marriage, my husband kidnapped my children, I was homeless on the streets of Chicago, but today I make 6 figures as a nanny.” Ok…. say what?! After chatting with Kelley on a phone call before we recorded this episode, I quickly came to realize that Kelley’s story was one of strength, resilience and HOPE. One of the biggest messages here is, it’s never too late to change the course of your life. One of my favorite quotes from this episode is, “You have to go through the hard thing to get to the good thing.” Kelley’s story shows you what it means to be brave & vulnerable while constantly persevering towards a better life. Oh man, you guys… need I say more? This is a dang good episode, and I am so grateful & happy you are here right now to hear it. ***SHOW NOTES*** Want to contribute to my Patreon? THANK YOU! We are in the middle of summer, and for a lot of people summertime includes outdoor activities like kayaking or hiking. Did you know, though, there’s something called canyoning? According to Wikipedia canyoning is travelling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, and swimming. On July 27, 1999 that is what our guest today was doing. Tiffany Johnson was canyoning in the Swiss Alps of all places. You might be thinking, “Wow, what an awesome, once-in-a-lifetime experience!” For Tiffany, though, this day turned from excitement to tragedy within a matter of seconds… On July 27, 1999, a flash flood hit the canyon Tiffany and 45 other people were climbing in, killing 21 people in a matter of minutes. This tragedy is known today as the 1999 Swiss Canyoning Disaster. Tiffany recalls what is was like being swept away by the flash flood and fighting to survive, but perhaps the hardest part for Tiffany was when she returned home to Australia because it was then she had to start healing herself. Healing not only from immense physical wounds but also from PTSD and survivors’ guilt. This is where the bravery comes in… It requires vulnerable bravery to have to face the scariest parts of yourself. It took years for Tiffany to open up and share what happened that day 21 years ago almost to the day, but she is “Brave Enough Now”. In fact, that is the name of Tiffany’s memoir, a story of self-discovery, survival and hope. ***SHOW NOTES*** Tiffany's Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/332063040952919 Tiffany's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tiffany_j_johnson/ Tiffany's Website: http://tiffanyjohnson.com.au/ Tiffany's Podcast: http://tiffanyjohnson.com.au/when-we-are-brave-podcast/ Connect With Me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sabripierotti/ Connect With Me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sabripierotti/ Connect With Me on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/sabripierotti/pins/ Watch The Video Portion of this Episode on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoPKl_lkG88c_RWkL9KWW9Q?view_as=subscribe

Are you a perfectionist? You might be the first to raise your hand, but then there might be some of you that are perfectionists but actually don’t know it… I’ll be the first to admit I am absolutely, 100% a perfectionist. Trying to be perfect makes me feel safe, secure & valued. I’ve been doing it for so long it truly feels like part of my DNA, and I would be lying if i said my perfectionist tendencies haven’t proven successful. But the reason you’re listening to this episode right now is because I came across our guest’s story about how her young adult life of perfectionism came crashing down on her, and I got curious… Samantha Calonita is who you’re going to be hearing today. What intrigued me about Samantha’s story was she had a panic attack on her wedding day, and she blamed it on being a perfectionist. This was one of the first times that I saw the negative side of perfectionism, and I had to know more… In today’s show we are talking about the drive behind needing to be perfect… we all do it for a reason, so it’s important to ask yourself, “What is my reason for trying to be perfect?” Within that we talk about the unconscious patterns that propels perfectionism, but perhaps most importantly, we talk about how to OVERCOME this drive to be perfect. Samantha described this time of her life as “dismantling” who she was to become who she’s meant to be. Ok - how freaking powerful is that?! You have to lose yourself to find yourself, and that’s what Samantha did and she’s here to tell us her story. ***SHOW NOTES*** SPONSORSHIPS Ready for your own Personal Revolution? Today’s episode is on a topic I’m very passionate about. My friends, today we will be talking about the gut & brain connection. This time last year I lived in oblivion thinking that our gut was only useful for digesting food, but after listening to a podcast episode one day on the topic of gut health, my eyes opened wide and got me thinking about my own health issues I was experiencing at the time. I started to consider how crucially important my gut health was to my overall health. Did you know 70% of your immune system is in your gut?* This means that a lot of other diseases, whether they be chronic or even cancer, could possibly have stemmed from an unhealthy gut micro biome.** After doing some more research and realizing that even our mental health is impacted by the health of our gut, I knew this was something I needed to discuss on the show. Sylvia Hall is our guest today, and she is going to be sharing her story around gut/brain health. Sylvia is the founder and owner of Lifted Naturals, a million dollar company dedicated to helping people feel better naturally through probiotics. The line of probiotics are classified as “Mood Boosting” because not only do they help with digestion, but they are filled with bacteria strains that talk to your brain and help ease symptoms like anxiety & depression. Sylvia explains how, in some cases, anxiety & depression can be symptoms of an unhealthy gut. We talk about the signs of an unhealthy gut, the scientific reasoning behind the gut/brain connection, destigmatizing mental health, being your own advocate in the health space, and so much more. Today’s guest shares what it was like to come out gay to her Mormon community of family & friends and survive conversion therapy. Elena Joy Thurston is an inspirational speaker, retreat host & writer who landed on the Tedx stage in 2019. Our guest today gave a Ted Talk back in 2008 that changed not only her life, but the lives of millions all over the world… Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor was working as a brain scientist at Harvard University when one morning in 1996 she woke up feeling not quite herself… she quickly realized that she was having a stroke. Because of her background in neuroanatomy Dr. Taylor was able to essentially observe what was happening inside of her brain while the stroke was taking place. As a result, Dr. Taylor recovered from her stroke with a completely new perspective on life & how our brains work. This invaluable insight spread like wildfire. Dr. Taylor’s Ted Talk was the first to ever go viral on the Internet, being watched almost 35 MILLION times. In the months to follow Dr. Taylor was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, became a NY Times best-selling author with her memoir My Stroke of Insight, and was interviewed by Oprah as the first ever guest of Oprah’s Soul Series webcast. What I love about today’s story is it goes beyond the information in the TED Talk. Dr. Taylor & I have an intimate conversation about what’s going on in the world today amidst the COVID-19 crisis and why our brains are reacting to it with constant loops of stress & anxiety. Most importantly, Dr. Taylor shares how we can stop the never-ending cycle of anxiety in our brains, take back control & learn to embrace the present moment again. She teaches us how to accept the worries our brains manifest because they’re there to keep us safe, but she also stresses the importance of quieting the mind & trusting your intuition; this is called “whole-brain living.” You’re listening to the Cultivating Curiosity Podcast where everyone has a story to share. I want to start off this episode today asking you a question… what is your passion? Think about it, my friend… what lights you up inside? Does something immediately come to mind for you? If not, have you ever asked yourself this question before? I truly believe most of us have SOMETHING that we are passionate about, and it’s up to us to become curious and explore what that may be... Today’s story is about a young woman who is exploring her passion FEARLESSLY. India Dupriez discovered at the age of 12 that she had a passion for music, specifically singing. Instead of telling herself, “Oh, one day I will get to live my passion” India decided that she was going to roll up her sleeves and put in the work to make her dream a reality. I believe India’s story is crucial for everyone to hear because this is not a story of “follow your passion and life will be fun & easy.” No. Instead, this is a story of sacrifice, determination, and un-ending persistence. This is what real life looks like when you decide to take the risk and follow that dream.Oftentimes, it’s so easy for us to look at famous singers and only see the fame & fortune; we rarely get to see all of the sweat and tears that went into that success, but today you’ll get a glimpse of that through India’s story. India is getting raw & transparent with what it truly takes to go after your dream. There is sacrifice. There is hard work. There is a LOT of risk taking. Most importantly, there is a lot of faith that it will be worth it in the end. This is not a story of “light at the end of the tunnel” because, truthfully, India is still at the beginning of that tunnel, but aren’t we all? Aren’t we all still trying to find our way? Today’s story is about the messy action, the uncertainties, and the faith that goes into following your passion. Today’s story is about fearlessly embracing the journey while NOT knowing what awaits you in the end... You’re listening to the Cultivating Curiosity podcast, and this is the story of India Dupriez. ***SHOW NOTES*** “HOW” Single: https://open.spotify.com/track/5TzPoTKDp1g6yS0mmbu0o9?si=C8T_W3reRDi_5Y72NbMVdA “KNOW ME” Single: https://open.spotify.com/track/3kWVNGjl6gPnCBXP5XUD4B?si=JBEcqUUbThuNJ-6zixCXxw India’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/indiadupriez/ India’s Twitter: https://twitter.com/india_dupriez?lang=en India’s Website: http://www.indiadupriez.com/ Connect With Me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sabripierotti/ Connect With Me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sabripierotti/ Connect With Me on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/sabripierotti/pins/ Watch The Video Portion of this Episode on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoPKl_lkG88c_RWkL9KWW9Q?view_as=subscribe

Today’s story is a story of overcoming hardships & transformation. We all know that adversity and challenge is when we become our strongest, and that is why I am so happy to share an example of that with you today through Marty’s story… Marty McLoughlin. This man has been through so much in his life and is still standing to tell his story. From a sudden loss that turned his world upside down to a near death experience that altered his way of life, Marty has overcome it all. From a young age Marty fell in love with fitness. He was fascinated how it can physically strengthen your body, but he also loved the social aspect of going to the gym and feeling welcomed by all. Today’s story, though, is not focused on that. Today’s story is more so about what it means to strengthen your MENTAL endurance than your physical muscles. Having a strong mental endurance is about not giving up no matter what life throws your way. Mental endurance is about continuing to fight, knowing that on the other side is growth that you could never have experienced without that adversity. I can sit here and tell you to “ keep fighting, it’s worth it”, but what does that mean to you without any evidence to back up my claim? Nothing. That’s why I am bringing you Marty’s story today. Marty is living proof that you WILL overcome anything if you choose to, stronger than before. You’re listening to the Cultivating Curiosity Podcast, where everyone has a story to share. Hey, girlfriend, I am so happy you stopped by today because you are in for a really great episode. Today, we are chatting with Eli Weinstein. Eli actually doesn’t live that far from me, I live in Jersey and Eli lives in Queens, NY, but like how I meet many of my guests Eli reached out to me on Instagram. I am going to read you the message that Eli sent me on Instagram: “Love this podcast and the concept! I was recently on Kelly Clarkson talking about being a new dad and also as a therapist and how I navigate the stresses and emotions of being a parent. Would be so honored to be a guest and talk about being a father/parent from a therapist perspective, mental health, men’s issues and everything in between…” So of course this message caught my attention because I was like, “Hold up you were on the Kelly Clarkson show?!?” then I pulled my somewhat professional self together and thought, “wow… what an awesome opportunity to talk about mental health and the importance of therapy.” I haven’t been very vocal yet about my journey with therapy, but I have in fact been seeing a therapist since last November, mostly for my anxiety which you guys know I’ve been open about on the show. Initially, i felt a LOT of shame around going to therapy because I was brainwashed by that horrible stigma that something needs to be terribly wrong with you to go to therapy. Clearly that is a HUGE misconception that unfortunately hinders a lot of people from seeking a therapist, and that is why you are listening to this episode today. I believe every single person, no matter your story, can benefit from talking to someone who has an objective perspective on your life. Having Eli on the show was such a blessing because he provides a drastically different perspective of therapy that makes it relatable and less intimidating. I genuinely enjoyed my chat with Eli so much because he is so easy to talk to, and because he shares really great nuggets of knowledge as to why & how therapy can help anyone. During the show I talk about my therapy journey, Eli talks about his therapy journey and of course… we talk about the Kelly Clarkson show haha. This is one of my favorite episodes to date because it’s so raw + personal, and I believe these intimate conversations are the biggest catalysts to change. Let’s reminisce together for a second… go back in time to your favorite place you have ever traveled to. Think about it, remember it. The sounds, the sights, the tastes & how you felt. Would you give anything to go back there? Or heck, would you give anything to simply travel someplace new and experience those blissful feelings that are felt when we explore new places?! Girl, I know I would. Traveling around the country and across the world have been some of my favorite memories of my life, and I want YOU to be able to say the same for yourself. That’s why I have brought you the expert traveler onto our show this week. Miss Catalina and I met when I was studying abroad in Florence, Italy. At the time Catalina worked for a travel agency in Florence, so as a result we were able to travel Europe together and grow this great friendship. Since leaving Florence Catalina traveled to more exotic places like Greece and Morocco & most recently Spain, which is where she is currently living and teaching English. Friend, this episode today is going to inspire you to pack your bags and hop on a jet tomorrow because Catalina knocks out all of those fears we have travelling abroad, especially for the first time. Fears that we tell ourselves that keep us from exploring someplace new could be, “What will the language barrier be like? How much money should I save? What should I pack? Where will I stay? Heck, I don’t even have the money to go on a trip anytime soon.” Catalina answers all of those questions for you and more while also giving you some tips and tricks on how to still live an adventurous life without spending thousands of dollars on a vacation. You guys, please let me know how much you are loving this podcast show by rating and leaving me a quick review. Whether it be on your commute to work, while cooking dinner or before you go to bed, let me know how you fit in curiosity into your day. Also, let’s connect over on Instagram! I have a little surprise for you today… today, it’s just going to be me and you. There is no guest on the show, meaning this is my first ever SOLO show. Some of my favorite podcast episodes are when the podcast host is solo, so this has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time & I couldn’t be more excited that you’re sharing this special moment with me. So let’s start with a little background on what I’m going to chat about today. I graduated from The Fashion School at Kent State University back in May 2017, and one of the senior awards that I won was Outstanding Merchandising Award. There are only two of these awards that are granted every year, one for a merchandising student and one for a design student. It became a tradition for the outstanding fashion student winners to speak to the following year’s graduating class about our lives one year after college. You all probably know this by now, but I LOVE to talk, and more specifically I LOVE to present. Getting up on a stage or in front of a camera brings me to life, so naturally I was excited for this opportunity the second I was awarded the scholarship. This episode I’m about to play for you guys is a version of the speech I gave to these graduating students. Listen, you do not having to be graduating in order to benefit from this episode. I am going to talk about all of the things I’ve learned about myself and about life within the past year after college graduation. A year doesn’t seem like that long, but when you’re thrown into the big world you’ll be AMAZED at how much your brain can absorb. I’m going to touch on all the things, from figuring out what you TRULY want from life to books you need to read. I feel so confident that you’re going to take away at least one nugget of inspiration from this episode! That’s why when this episode is over I want you to pretty please do me a favor. Rate and write a review stating what piece of advice resonated with you most from this episode. Knowing how my content is impacting your lives motivates me to create more content for you. It means so much when you guys shoot me a text or DM saying how much you’re enjoying my podcast episodes, but please let iTunes know as well! Keep the good word coming, you guys! I love it so much so thank you, friends, and without further ado let’s dive into the episode!
