In this episode of Revenue Rehab, on the couch Brandi and Max will tackle demystifying how AI is reshaping search strategies and what marketers must do to stay ahead in the ever-evolving SEO and SEM landscape. Bullet Points of Key Topics + Chapter Markers: Topic #1 Organic Panic? [06:24] “We're seeing an evolution of organic channel,” Max says, “what would happen if you…couldn't spend money on paid ads, and if you couldn't get any jobs done on social media; the most important channel is going to remain your organic effort.” He continues, “in a nutshell, organic efforts right now are still the number one source of traffic, the number one source of conversions from a website; if your website doesn't have 50 or 60% of traffic from organic sources, you need to be worried. But at the same time, you need to find a new story to be discovered and to understand the search and the user's intent.” Topic #2 Google Algorithm [17:07] “I will give you three things you need to ask yourself before panicking or not. The first one, Google is penalizing those who have been repurposing domains” says Max. “The second one is abuse of AI, meaning that you just create content without any context…And the third one is kind of a messy one, if you were bragging on social media or on different websites that Google didn't pay attention when [you were] abusing of AI or something like that, you're going to get penalized.” Topic #3 Don't Put All Your Eggs in One (AI) Basket [25:44] “Up to a certain point, you can rely on AI to analyze your data to analyze what's happening in the Search Console, to give you different indexing, maybe help from a developer development perspective,” Max advises, “but if you if you want to trust AI to create 100% of your content, that's going to be a big no-no. Because, again, AI could know tons of things about the world, but the only one who knows about your business is the business owner, the brand, the team, the company. So don't forget your expertise and your experience on each subject.” So, What's the One Thing You Can Do Today? Max's ‘One Thing' is 3 steps: “First, go to Search Console, and analyze what's happening with your metrics there, especially in a couple of metrics…Second, check out the CPR, because maybe you have a low CPR, you can do some things to get more traffic, more clicks…And then third, check the keywords that users have been using to find you, once you have those keywords, think if you're creating content for those keywords.” Buzzword Banishment: Max's Buzzword to Banish is the alphabet soup of acronyms; “I would like to eliminate using just words to communicate a strategy. I'm really tired of hearing when we have different conversations, and they say, ‘I think the CPA of the AI strategy is not working because the MLA Q is not working'. What are you saying when you're just putting different letters in front of the audience. I think we just need to get rid of those things.” Links: Get in touch with Max Gomez: LinkedIn: Next Net Media LinkedIn: Max Gomez The HOTH on Instagram The HOTH on YouTube Next Net Media Subscribe, listen, and rate/review Revenue Rehab Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts , Amazon Music, or iHeart Radio and find more episodes on our website RevenueRehab.live

On this episode, I chat with Max of AMP'D Fitness. I first met Max during the pandemic when he started teaching fitness classes outside after the gym he worked at had to shut down. I knew his passion and determination would turn into something at a time when most people just pressed the pause button on work. And he did just that. In less than 2 years, Max opened not one but two dedicated gyms. Max is not a stranger to challenges and taking risks. He grew up racing dirt bikes. And he was really good at it. His last race changed his life forever in more ways than he even expected. He talks vulnerably about this and other experiences that have shaped him and his path in life. We talk about depression, losing life long friends, and becoming emotionally aware as an adult male. Max sees all of his challenges in life as lessons in how to keep moving forward. His ambition and dedication to making his dreams a reality are what great leaders are made of. You will be inspired and rooting for his success after hearing his story. Take a class with him and get to know him, you'll be a better human for it. Check him out at AMP'D Fitness!
Episode 256 - Max Gomez, Owner of AMP'D Fitness, “one leg…still standing”“Are you handicapped?” asked Brian.“Hell's No!” Max replied.“This thing has not held me back on anything…it's given me awesome opportunities.”-Max GomezRarely does a podcast guest tell a story that leaves the Two Fit Crazies speechless. However, today you will hear a powerful story of resilience over adversity from a young man named Max Gomez. Max just happens to be an amputee with an unbreakable mindset and unwavering zest for life! Are you ready to take life by the horns and go after your God-sized dreams? Look no further! Max discusses how a motor cross accident at the age of eighteen led to countless surgeries, the amputation of his right leg, years of rehabilitation, but also the opportunity of a lifetime. Sit back and listen to how the power of a positive mindset led Max to get back on his bike, finish his college degree, and eventually open his first training studio in New Jersey called AMP'D. (Yes, that is a play on the word, amputee.) Max also reveals his plan to create the first official fitness chain that specifically caters to amputees as well as his plan to book speaking events around the globe to further spread his messages about the power of exercise and mindset for amputees. The songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist has appeared on hundreds of albums since he started out playing guitar with the San Francisco-based alt-rock band Wire Train in the mid-80s. Wire Train (Left to Right) Jeff Trott, Kevin Hunter, Anders Rundblad, Brian MacLeod Jeff is best known for his long-running work with Sheryl Crow, a collaboration that has earned him a Grammy and BMI’s Songwriter of the Year honors. They first met, in a true case of serendipity, in the early ‘90s. Starting with her second album, he has served as a co-writer, accompanist and producer for Crow straight through her latest full-length, Threads. Jeff with Sheryl Crow's band, circa 1997 Jeff talks about his songwriting process with Crow – including how her contributions to his early version of “If It Makes You Happy” turned the tune into the Grammy-winning smash hit – as well as why he finds collaborating such as fascinating, mysterious thing to do. Jeff performing with Sheryl Crow Now Nashville-based after living most of his life on the west coast, Jeff possesses a lengthy and impressive resume featuring well-known acts that cut across the rock, country, blues, folk, and pop genres. Jeff was awarded Songwriter of the Year by BMI in 1998. Along with hits with Sheryl Crow, such as "If It Makes You Happy”, "Everyday is a Winding Road” ,“A Change”, "My Favorite Mistake” and “Soak Up The Sun”, he's written songs with Counting Crows, G. Love, Clare Dunn, O.A.R., Robert Randolph, and more. He's toured with Tears For Fears, Pete Droge and World Party and recorded with the likes of Aimee Mann, Stevie Nicks, Liz Phair, Wade Bowen and Rob Thomas, to name a few. During his days with World Party. Photo by Chris Whitten As a producer, Jeff’s credits include working with Aaron Lee Tasjan, Fastball, Leighton Meester, Max Gomez, Martha Wainwright, and Pete Yorn. Probably his most prominent production work, outside of the Sheryl Crow albums, was doing Hootie and the Blowfish’s widely-acclaimed recent reunion record, Imperfect Circle. It’s a job he got rather unexpectedly, with a casual get-together with the band to talk songwriting leading to them asking Jeff to produce their album. Assistant engineer Sean Badum, engineer Buckley Miller and Jeff during the Hootie & The Blowfish recording sessions Jeff’s production work extends to film and TV too. He did the soundtrack for the Abigail Breslin film Janie Jones and co-produced a couple of Stevie Nicks tracks for the Practical Magic soundtrack. He even got a Daytime Emmy nomination for co-writing and co-producing with Crow the theme song for the Katie Couric talk show. Despite his seemingly constant stream of work, Jeff did take the time out some years back to do a solo album, Dig Up The Astroturf, which he released on his own label. But even he used this project as a learning experience to discover all the things you need to know about making an album. Photo by Kim Stringfellow With his wealth and range of musical experiences, Jeff has accumulated all types of illuminating thoughts on what it takes to be a good collaborator, the tricky line you walk producing a band, and what has kept him enthusiastic about making music. Photo by Steven Weinberg Please enjoy listening to songwriter/musician/producer Jeff Trott on episode three of the second season of Song Chronicles.

Max Gomez was 18 when he had to have his right leg amputated after a dirt bike racing accident. Instead of getting it into his mind and becoming depressed, he saw the injury as just another challenge to get over with. Fired up by such a positive outlook in life, it took Max a relatively short time to progress from wheelchair to crutches to artificial limb. Building his strength little by little, Max soon found himself up and running (literally) in no time! Inspired to inspire other people with his journey, Max is now studying to be a PT and plans to start a fitness-related business someday. How we breathe can have a profound impact on our mental health and wellness. Humans are one of only a few species that can proactively manipulate our breathing patterns and those patterns are associated with various emotional states of being. In today’s episode we learn about the physiological and psychological impacts of breathing Max Gomez and Addie Conner, created their early stage startup, Breathwrk, to help people consciously improve their breathing in order to achieve health and wellness. In this episode we dig into how breathing impacts us, why it does and the formation story of this startup looking to revolutionize the way we breathe. You can connect with Max and Addie here: Max on LinkedIn, Addie on LinkedIn, Links mentioned in the show: https://www.breathwrk.com/ HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS WE TALKED ABOUT: We talked about why breathwork is worthy of its own category separate of meditation. We talked about the differences between meditation and breathwork as well as how they are similar. Max, a neuroscientist by education, explains the science of breathing and meditation. Max explains that a lot of people try meditation and feel like they fail when they are not able to focus or stay on task in their first few sessions. So, they give up. Breathing is easier to start and have success with. They explain how the Breathwrk app was built intentionally to be different than the meditation apps such as Calm and Headspace. Max is from a small town in New Jersey. Studied Neuroscience at USC. He talks about falling in love with how the body and brain works. He realized med school wasn’t for him, picked up a minor in entrepreneurship and found a passion for applying neuroscience to business. Max talks about going through some tough personal challenges. He found himself in a very anxious state and it led him to depression that found him spending an entire month in bed. He started looking for a solution that could help him get out of this anxious state. Max talks about going to a coach and being exposed to simple breathing exercises. He talks about how within 15-30 seconds he already felt better. He realized this is the solution. The vertical of breathwork is quite diverse from waking up in the morning, to high performance athletes, Navy SEALs, sleep improvement, and may more applications. There is a physiological and psychological reaction that takes place during breathing exercises. Max looked in the app store to see if there was a breathwork app and could not find anything dedicated to breathing. So, he decided to spend a couple weeks building a prototype of an idea, mainly for his personal use, to help him with his own breathwork. Max and Addie met through a mutual friend. And immediately hit it off and realized they were passionate about this at the same time independent of one another. The universe brought them together and they began to work on this product together. Addie talks about her immense experience in online advertising. She had early access to Facebook ad APIs. Eventually built a huge Facebook ad agency. Later Addie went to Mexico to live in a nudist commune for 3 months. She met a shaman, then went to the Amazon jungle and was working with Shamans while being on a journey to find herself. Along that journey she reconnected with an old mentor of hers who is an expert on flow states (neuro semantics of high performance). He made her aware of breathwork. Breath became her favorite modality. She talks about trying to get into meditation, but it never working for her. She realized that breathwork was far more powerful in her life and it was easier for her to develop a daily habit around. They tell the founding story of Breathwrk and how they decided to build a business and how that’s gone so far. Our guest today is Max Gomez 12 months ago Max co-founded Breathwrk. Breathwrk evolved in Max’s mind after a series of events that sent his life spiralling towards depression. A story that is not uncommon with many young women & men all around the country. Max was recommended Mediation, to calm his mind, but every time he sat still it was hard to focus with the dark clouds of anxiety circling. That is when he discovered Breathwork. Breathwork became the remote control to Max’s nervous system, allowing him to take control of his life again. Breathwrk’s mission as a business is to “empower people to control their minds and bodies.” Bringing these powerful and healing tools into everyday lives is something Max and his team as incredibly passionate about. Breathwrk has had a meteoric rise being hot property in the venture capital space, featuring in Vogue & Goop, as well as currently accruing approximately 1000 new users every single day. But I cannot help to think, it is Max’s & his team's commitment to genuinely help people with their everyday lives that is the real driver of such incredible growth. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jack-roberts/message
