She wasn't sure what the end was going to be, but she feels like God has been shaping her and her channel over the years. She didn't start out with it being a faith based channel but one day she felt a small voice that pushed her to give God the glory through everything. From the meetings to the shows, give the God the glory. In 2020, she really jumped on the streaming platform bandwagon. Now her program is a big success. Zondra's program works with people and walks them through how to become a producer. She teaches them how tomonetize their content and then apply the things they learn in the program on their own. She has quite a few people graduate from the program I Season 1 & 2 and is about to do a Season 3 with more people who want to learn what she has to teach. She is a big proponent of continuing to learn and to apply what you learn to something you are doing. Kearn Cherry was born in Mississippi and lives there to this day. Her husband was in the military and they lived in many different countries and states. One of the countries they stayed for 5 years was in Germany. Kearn was wanting to finish nursing school but never finished. After a decade both Kearn and her husband made the commitment to go back to school for nursing in Arizona. They drove an hour and half, back and forth, everyday for a year. When their plans did not work in the nursing field, they went to classes for occupational therapy. They had 3 kids, all under the age of 10, and they both worked so hard to get to where they wanted to go. This was a very tough time for both of them and they had to make many sacrifices. Even though thiswas a tough time for them and their children, it also helped them all to build an attitude of resilience and helped to bring their children closer together. At the end of the day, their children are all very successful and have a work-hard drive that theylearned from Kearn and her husband. They never thought about asking for help from their family. They did everything by themselves. Even though this was a hard thing for them to do, it strengthened their marriage and their personal growth. It made them realize that they are dependent on each other. Kearn's mother later offered to have their kids live with her for a while until Kearn and her husband were finished with their schooling. This really did help them during that time. When they were done they decided to move to Florida, but when they went to pick up the kids in their home town in Mississippi and ended up staying there. This is where they started their home care business. They have been running this business for 24 years now. Recently Kearn started to plan conferences and events years ago and saw there was a need for this. She really enjoys planning these, especially women's conferences. She has been on many boards for different conferences and events. She helped other companies run their own conferences and events, but she also ran her own conferences for different reasons...one was for her care business for the elderly. Her and her partner were talking one day and came up with an idea to start a woman's conference. The Success Women's Conference was born. They have been doing this for years. They have really grown and now have anywhere from 11k-17k attendees. In 2020, Kearn was told by God that she needed to continue to run her own events and to write anthologies. This is where her two biggest events came to be -“Level Up” and “Power Up”. With the pandemic, it was hard to have them live but this didn't hinder the conferences. They were a major success even virtually. They were both very new for her. Kearn learned so much from both of them. She was very intimated by it in the beginning. She just wasn't getting anything from other conferences. She was also called to write anthology books, which was tough for her because writing is not a strong suit for Kearn. However, she stepped out on faith and did what she was called to do.In 2019 she wrote her first book, “Trailblazers Who Lead.” This was not something that came easily for Kearn but she pushed and did it. For her second book, she had other authors and other women write their stories, which became the second anthology, “Make it Happen."
Sloan grew up in El Paso Texas. Her family is from the area and they created a powerful community with their businesses. From a very young age she was always pushed to be well rounded and experience as much as she can. She was very competitive as a child, she was a part of many different activities and had her hands in many different experiences. Sloan has a younger brother and he is the opposite of her. He was not into competition and was very interested in motor sports and cars.At a young age she lost her father and her mom became a single mother over night. Her mother worked very hard to create her own businesses and strived to achieve her goals and dreams. She showed Sloan that resilience can be beautiful and graceful not hard and rough around the edges. While in high school she was a people to people ambassador. She spent 3 weeks in Australia, which taught her a lot about herself. She decided to push herself to start big school early. She started freshmen year at 13 and graduated at 16. She went to Texas A&M for 5 years. During college she learned so much and had many failures. She wanted to do too many things and her grades suffered because she spread herself too thin. This was very humbling for her and she had to reassess her priorities. She realized that sometimes she can't do everything. After college she spent some time traveling all over the US. One day she decided she would move to Nashville. She felt like Texas was a safety net for her and so she decided she needed to get out of her safety zone. She didn't have a job or a place to live. She ended up telling her mother and a funny thing came about. Her mother's fiancé at the time had a job offer in Nashville. She ended up moving in with them for a while. This was very hardfor Sloan because she had lived on her own since 17. She soon met her husband and they now have their roots in Tennessee. At the age 23, Sloan tried working as a bar tender. This taught her that she was not in the protective environment of college. This was real life. She worked as a personal assistant. She ended up getting fired based on a miscommunication and looking back on it, she realized that she didn't have the confidence and strength to stand up for yourself. She just didn't know herself. She didn't stand tall in that environment and let it influence her. She ended up going to work for a job recruiting position. She learned that she loved getting know people and business and connecting them.Later on after her and her husband in married they movedto Kentucky and she became a fitness instructor and health coach. She took part in a beauty pageant, Mrs. Kentucky United States. This was the perfect time for her because she was more comfortable in her own skin. She ended up winning. Through this she was able to see her own passion and learned self awareness. She saw a theme of servant attitude. From here she started her company the Glow Getter Project. She loves to help people find their glow and to help them find themselves. She started to realize that personal development and growth never ends and that in order for you to be successful you have to keep moving. She then changed the name to The Glow Project and her non profit The Glow Movement. She was on the top of the world with everything going on at the time. Then her husband got a promotion and they had to move again. She had to leave her community, her network and everything that she had created. This issue was that this was just temporary. When she moved she struggled to feel good about herself. However, she was able to spend quality time with her son. This taught her that her worth is not based on what we've done, it's who we are. This season in her life pushed her to really go in and look within. She was able to let go of her ego and pride and allowed her grace and love shine. She really focused on herself and her journey and she decided that she wanted to help others during their own journey and lives as a coach and mentor. Thanks for listening! Carey had been a very extroverted child but she became more introspective as she got older. She grew up in Colorado and followed her husband to Oklahoma. After they got marriedthey moved back to Colorado where they raised their family. Carey was not interested in following the 9-5 job structure. One day, while in a time of quiet she sat down and wrote what she wanted to see in her life. How she wanted to be as a mother, a wifeand an entrepreneur. She still has those lists to this day and she shows during her talks. She lost her husband in 2014 to suicide and a few years later she lost her son in the same way. She feels very blessed that God had her make the list she did all those years ago, because if she didn't have a strong “why” that anchored her, she would gone a much different way after their deaths. In 2018, Carey co-authored a book with her daughter, Laurel. They both speak about overcoming adversity and they work together to get this out to others. Now she works with young adults to fine their passions and move forward in their lives and their careers. Many of the people she works with suffer from depression. Her programs have made a major impact in these young people's lives. Thanks for listening! Thanks so much for listening to our podcast! Ryan grew up in England in a broken home, which led to him striving for attention from others. He grew up with a feeling a responsibility to take care of his mom throughout his young life. He had quite a bit of abandonment during his early teen years. However, he found the love of his life at 15. Things soon became very stable with his relationship and career, but in 2019 things changed. He didn't feel supported at work and struggled with fitting in with that community. His relationship with his wife was on rocky waters and he also had a health scare. Needless to say, 2019 was a turning point for Ryan. He finally made a choice to make a change. He created his own community that shows love and support for others.“Passion is for us because it feels good. But it turns to purpose when we use our passion to help others.” -Ryan Hartley. Ryan felt he had more to give and began looking into becoming a coach. He started with what he had, a phone, a headset, and Facebook Live. He didn't allow the “lack” of proper equipment to be a barrier. In 2020, he started a journey of faith. He wasn't sure if leaving the police was the right path, but he had faith in God and listened to what was put in his heart to do. Which was to help others. He learned to live in love and lead in love. Thanks for listening! Thanks so much for listening to our podcast! Rick Austin is a solider, entrepreneur, husband, father and a man of God. His story is a perfect example of perseverance and hard work. Even though he had been through many difficult times and challenges, he accepted those experiences and worked hard to be the best he could. Through his school career, he went to manydifferent locations. After graduation, he worked many jobs to help supply an income to help his mother, while living with her. Again he went through a tough time. During this trying time there was an opportunity for Rick to sell narcotics, however, he made the choice to work hard and make money other ways -recruiting with the Army. This decision was the best he could have made during that time. He was involved in the medical and nursing scene within the military. He has always had a heart for people. He went to many places, Korea, Africa, Afghanistan and Iraq. He continued to stay within the medical genre during this time.During his time in Korea, he met the woman that would be his wife of 30 years. They kept a long distance relationship through letters. When he went to West Point, lots of great things came from that opportunity. One of the major things was his relationship with Jesus began. He didn't grow up in the church or having a relationship with Christ, but someone took the time to share Jesus with Rick. Thanks for listening! Thanks so much for listening to our podcast! Gabby found her passion early on. She wanted to do something in writing, but she didn't know that PR work would be the perfect thing for her. Another passion of hers is traveling. From there she connected PR with traveling. She helps to promote all the wonderful things about traveling, in a very authentic way. It is particularly important for her to believe in the thing she was promoting. She had gotten to a point in her life where she decided to start her own consulting company. She wanted the flexibility and the ability to use her time the way she wanted to. Through her struggles with cancer years ago, she learned something valuable. You must try to learn something during a hard time. She believes then that nothing is a total loss. Do not focus so much on the negative, create a new way of doing something. You must take the good with the bad. Two of her major clients are the Princess Cruise Line and The City of Orlando. This year has brought traveling to a hault, which effected both these clients. She speaks about what is to be expected for the next year with traveling and cruises. She believes when we can travel more again, the memories and the time with family and friends will be so much more special and will have more meaning. She shared about her passion and talent.
