Wrestler movies. A genre of its own, or perhaps a beautiful niche, as Louis and Kate bring you the joy and wonder of John Cena's second lead role in a feature film, 12 Rounds. A beautiful nonsense filled with bad FBI agents, Aiden Gillen devouring the scenery and the most absurdly funny death scene in a film that really isn't supposed to be. Enjoy the episode, and absolutely enjoy the movie. INSTAGRAM @darlingwhypodcast @l.a.tsang --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/louis-tsangarides/message
Thanks for inviting me to your haunted house, you f**king pricks, I'm gonna be up all night. Season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown has concluded. A show that seems to live below the radar, Mayor of Kingstown became even better in Season 2. While it's not as slick and polished as other similar shows, the messiness of the show actually echoes the messy, flawed nature of the characters, which is what makes it great to watch. The series also leaned more into dark humor this season, to great effect. Jeremy Renner is great in this, and Tobi Bamtefa and Taylor Handley and Hugh Dillon and Dianne Wiest and Aiden Gillen and Michael Beach and Kenny Johnson... they all get moments to shine.

We've got a fun episode for you today, folks! Katie Wright returns to look at an episode that dares ask the question "could a black person who lied about having epilepsy and has very few discernible political beliefs become president?" We get close to hearing some 2005 AIDS discourse but thankfully it's mostly averted and House nearly murders a senator. Also Cameron quits but we barely notice. While there may not be too many real politics to talk about, it doesn't stop us from dipping into many controversial topics like Aiden Gillen's accent in "The Wire" or Aiden Gillen's accent in "Dark Knight Rises." We also learn the mystery of "3 Pounds," present some Madonna-based theories on the nature of reality, and much much more! It's jam packed full of fun! Listen past the plugs for more bits!

Today we discuss the new History Channel show Project Blue Book starring Aiden Gillen from Game of Thrones and touch on the episode about the Lubbock Lights, a well done episode and a bit of information I had not yet heard. We discuss J Allen Hynek and his involvement and roll within Project Blue Book as well as discuss Project Blue Book and its entirety. On DMT one of our favorite topics is aliens and ufos. Today I will discuss with you also my thoughts on why ufos are visiting us what they might be, who might be in them, and what to do about it in the near future. Like I like to say, the future is ours but we have to do something with it, especially after the paper was recently published on the Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica and its Manhattan sized hole that has melted its way and continues melting this massive glacier till it raises sea levels drastically, so we will be discussing the outcomes and the reasons for needing a different means of power generation due to constant pollution. UFO FOOTAGE UTAH: https://youtu.be/Dkj2I1dZmmk Thanks for listening! Share, Subscribe, and Keep Thinking! Find me at deepermeaningtime.com and email me! deepermeaningtime@gmail.com(Looking for deep thinkers to feature here on DMT!) Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Deeper Meaning Time. Your guide to insight, knowledge, and inspiration that will keep you thinking throughout your every day. Through our conversations to come, we will uncover some of the deepest meanings time has to offer. That is the goal here, to seek out those crazy thoughts that most of us have and do nothing with. Thoughts that maybe could one day become reality. No matter whether or not you agree with me or think I’m crazy or out of my mind this is just about understanding the world around me and making a discussion of my own thoughts. What the idea or thought is you might have, each one is important and is the step towards a greater understanding of the life that surrounds us and continues on for all of us indefinitely as we race through our universe through time and space. Nuala O'Connor is an Emmy award Winning Irish Director and works closely with Writer Diarmaid Ferriter with whom she collaborated with on her first documentary feature, Keepers of the Flame. Keepers of the Flame is playing at the IFI this week. #SupportIrishFilmmaking Keepers of the Flame tells the universal story of generations dealing with the consequences of war and civil war; of what is remembered and what is forgotten. Keepers of the Flame delves into the archives of the Irish Military Service Pensions and what emerges is a truly personal retelling of a brutal and divisive period in the birth of a nation and the devastating legacy it left in its wake, for the individuals who took part and their families who suffered long after the fighting ended. More than 85,000 applied for the Irish Military Service Pension. Just over 18,000 received any payment. Keepers of the Flame examines the Irish journey in search of a collective courage to remember and acknowledge the deeds of the past, recognise the wrongs that were done, realise the context of the events and establish common ground to enable an understanding of who we are as a nation. It reveals just how problematic commemoration and remembrance can be – this is true of all wars but especially civil wars.
