There they have met the barbarian clans of the Davokar forest, which sits upon the ruins of ancient Symbaroum. And also the Elder Folk such as the elves who warn the humans that any trangressions into Davokar will be met with death as there is a darkness that sleeps in the woods that must never be allowed to be woken. This week, Ambria and Liaudwin talk to service industry representatives about restaurant life during the COVID-19 pandemic. With restaurants closed and service industry workers out of a job, what has life been like for both the people who own the establishments and those who work there?
In our series premiere, Ambria and I talk about growing up outside of Seattle amid the huge music scene. We also get into how her father's music taste rubbed off on her, and the deaths of many great artists and musicians over the years. Instagram: @ambria.campbell Snapchat: @ambriacampbell
LoVe iS iN ThE aIr bB! Welll...... maybe only sex is in the air, but either way we are here to support your thotty questions! I sat down with Ambria, a middle school social studies teacher in her first year. We talk about our classroom conditions, working conditions, and why we're on strike. I got the text while recording that CTU President Jesse Sharkey and Mayor Lori Lightfoot came to an agreement, suspending the strike.
wowwww WE FUCKING MADE IT!!! ONE HUNDRED YEARS OLD BAYBEE!!! JK we just hit ONE HUNDRED EPISODES which is tbh even better. in this episode -- LINDSAY IS BACK BAYBEEEE!!!! Kellen talks about her grandpa, Ambria learns which queer eye character she's most like, HIRE ZOE YOU COWARDS, Hope is complimented on her SotB shirt (duh), and Laura openly weeps (also duh). WE MISSED WALEETA SO JUST GO GIVE HER A DIGITAL HUG. Okay time for my internet banter to get serious for a second: it's honestly been a real fucking honor to do this project for 100 episodes (more if we include patreon!) We could NOT do it without our listeners! We are so so so grateful for each and every one of you and if you still like what we do, please continue to spread the word so we can continue for 100 more. Take a sip, a puff, or a sober nod for yourself for listening to us for these last 100! And if you're new - you can do that too but in OUR honor for doing the work ;). LOVE YOU!!! BYE!!!
We get closer to that elusive 10 minute mark! This week Cider and Sours steal the show, but we mix in some pretty fantastic other offerings as well. Special guest Ambria demonstrates the sound a train makes, Kathrine breaks down a beer label or two, and Michael tells you how wrong you are.
***WOOPS - disregard when Ambria says "and now for our music break" There is no music break this week and I forgot to take that out!***** HEYYYY THERE SEASON OF THE B'S~~~~ Today we talk about the abortion wins in Ireland, with our amazing comrade across the pond, Rita!! Rita works for this incredible socialist feminist organization, ROSA, which helped bring the abortion rights fight more LEFT. If you live in Rhode Island - you can have the opportunity to see Rita soon! She's speaking on October 24th in South Kingstown, Rhode Island and all the details are here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/creating-change-the-repeal-of-the-8th-amendment-in-ireland-tickets-49037103296. As the inevitability of Roe being overturned gets closer and closer, we can take a lot away from our comrades in Ireland - and understand what we need to do to come together and demand rights for every pregnant person. Theme music as always by Brandon Payton-Carrillo
For July, Nagrant sat down with Gabino Sotelino, whose 27-year-old Lincoln Park masterpiece, Ambria (2300 N. Lincoln Park West 773-472-5959), will serve its last meal on June 30th.
