Angela presents a segment from a live appearance in which she discusses the Mirror Principle, a transformative concept that can significantly impact one's ability to achieve goals. The episode begins by defining the Mirror Principle as a reflection of self-identity and paradigm, emphasising the importance of creating a clear and intentional identity when pursuing a goal. Through personal anecdotes and examples, the host illustrates how the Mirror Principle operates in various aspects of life, from physical health to financial success KEY TAKEAWAYS The Mirror Principle emphasises the importance of creating a clear and intentional identity when pursuing goals. The reflection in the mirror represents past decisions, behaviours, and identity, not the immediate reality. Reprogramming the subconscious mind through intentional identity creation is crucial for achieving long-term goals. Celebrating wins, practicing gratitude, and prioritizing key actions are essential steps in reinforcing the desired identity. Understanding paradigms and worldviews is vital in aligning actions with the desired identity and overcoming self-sabotage. BEST MOMENTS "You're creating this very strong image of who this person is." "You cannot hate yourself into a great body." "Gratitude is the massive amplifier." "Who am I being is the question I want you to ask most often during your day." Angela delves into the power of visualisation, discussing goal visualisation and process visualisation. She emphasises the importance of embodying the person who achieves the goals and taking inspired action, and touches on the significance of belief in oneself and the universe's power to help manifest goals KEY TAKEAWAYS Visualisation is a powerful tool for achieving goals, and there are two types: goal visualisation and process visualisation. Goal visualisation involves visualising the outcome and feeling of achieving a goal. Process visualisation focuses on visualising the steps and actions taken to reach the goal. Taking inspired action, developing self-discipline, and releasing attachment to outcomes are important for achieving goals and co-creating with the universe. BEST MOMENTS "You're effectively co-creating with the universe, but you're releasing attachment. That this is going, everything is unfolding for you." "Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become." "How does your ideal self show up and conduct activities? What kind of decisions does he or she make? What habits and routines do you have to support yourself in that process?" In this episode of The Exercise Engineer, Lou discusses the impact of other people on one's fitness journey. She emphasizes the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive individuals who understand and support your goals. They also explore the concept of willpower and how it can be depleted over time, making it crucial to choose the right company to avoid giving in to unhealthy habits. Lou encourages listeners to celebrate their wins, avoid comparing themselves to others, and choose positive influences in their lives. She also touches on the role of social media and the importance of consuming content that inspires and motivates. Overall, this episode highlights the significance of the people and influences we surround ourselves with in achieving our fitness goals. KEY TAKEAWAYS Surrounding yourself with the right people can have a significant impact on your fitness journey and overall success. Willpower is limited, and studies have shown that we only have a few "nos" before we give in to temptation. Being mindful of this can help us make better choices. Surrounding yourself with positive and like-minded individuals who share similar goals and values can make it easier to stay on track and achieve your fitness goals. Finding someone who is slightly ahead of you in their fitness journey can serve as a mentor and provide guidance and inspiration. It's important to celebrate your own wins and not compare yourself to others. Everyone's journey is unique, and focusing on your own progress is key to long-term success. BEST MOMENTS"You're the average of the five people you spend most of your time with."  "Studies have shown that we only really have four or five nos in us before we say yes."  "Surround yourself with people that are one step ahead of you, not necessarily better."  "No one actually likes being told what to do."  "Choose whole foods. 80% of the time, 20% of the time, yeah, have the blueberry muffin."  VALUABLE RESOURCES https://linktr.ee/theexerciseengineerlou@theexerciseengineer.com HOST BIOLou's personal journey with body confidence and food struggles began at the age of 15, where overeating and guilt around food consumed her. But everything changed during the lockdown in March 2020. Determined to regain control, Lou immersed herself in research, found joy in working out in her garden, and started tracking her nutrition and steps. Surprisingly, she lost a stone in less than three months and discovered a newfound love for fitness. Fueling her passion, Lou pursued personal training qualifications and launched her Instagram page in September 2020. After months of building a solid foundation, branding, and gaining relevant expertise, she started helping others achieve what once felt impossible—losing fat, feeling empowered, and loving the journey without restrictions. With numerous success stories, digital products, and a thriving membership program called Train with Lou, Lou now coaches, teaches, and learns about food, exercise, and mindset.

Nick is joined this time by Ryan Tansom and Walker Deibel, for a lively discussion about the complexities and misconceptions surrounding buying and selling businesses. They address the rise of misleading marketing tactics that promise easy success in the world of acquisitions, highlighting the importance of understanding the true value of a company and the practical steps needed to achieve a successful transaction. They also explore the different perspectives of acquisition entrepreneurs and independent sponsors, shedding light on the scaling gap that often exists after a deal is closed. With their combined expertise, this fireside chat between three experts provides invaluable insights into the intricacies of the M&A landscape and the importance of approaching it with knowledge and diligence. KEY TAKEAWAYS There is a prevalence of misleading marketing tactics in the M&A industry, where people are promised easy and risk-free ways to buy businesses. There is a need for buyers to have a realistic understanding of the value of a business and not overestimate its worth based on unrealistic expectations or anecdotes. It is important for buyers to have a solid understanding of financial statements, particularly the cash flow statement, to make informed decisions and ensure the financial viability of the business. Some buyers may successfully acquire a business but struggle with managing and growing it effectively, leading to potential losses or failure. BEST MOMENTS "You're helping the next generation of entrepreneurs buy companies the right way."  "I think an acquisition entrepreneur is potentially one of the only exits that'll actually work for someone." In this episode of the This Property Life podcast, Caroline Claydon is joined by Sarah Blaney to discuss the pros and cons of working with angel investors in the property business. They delve into the benefits for angel investors, how to find them, and how to structure agreements and interest rates.  KEY TAKEAWAYS Angel investors are private individuals with capital to lend to property investors. They are typically high net worth individuals who have money that is not being used effectively. Finding angel investors is possible by networking and sharing your investment opportunities with others. It's important to approach them with a win-win mindset, showing them how their investment can benefit your business. The structure of the agreement with angel investors can vary depending on the needs and preferences of both parties. This includes the amount of investment, the interest rate, and the repayment terms. Interest rates for angel investors can range from 5% to 12%, depending on the market conditions and the specific project. It's important to offer a competitive rate that aligns with the risk and return of the investment. Building relationships with angel investors is crucial for long-term success. Trust and credibility are key factors in attracting and retaining angel investors, and repeat investments are common when a strong relationship has been established. BEST MOMENTS "You're not doing them a favour. You're doing them the favour. It's a complete win-win situation."  "There's so much safety built into [property deals] because we have surveys done, we understand what the valuations are."  "This is a people business and to build relationships."  "We are quite picky about who we will do business with."  "Start your money raising pretty much on day one… building your credibility and showing that you are doing this professionally."   VALUABLE RESOURCES This Property Life - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/this-property-life-podcast/id1540075591        Property Wealth System YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/c/PropertyWealthSystem    To enter the competition, make sure you follow or subscribe to the podcast and leave a review, LIKE the Property Wealth System page on Facebook (SEE LINK BELOW), and then TAG 3 friends on the competition post you'll find there! Join Rob in this episode as he reveals the many truths about money and how it really works including the darker side of the money system, how to escape the rat race and the pros and cons to cash. KEY TAKEAWAYS Banks are not as independent of governments as we are led to believe. They are both corporate machines, to make money not to serve people. Money loves speed and hates friction, it works best when it flows. Saving won't make you rich but it can be a bridge for investing which can definitely make you very rich. Money is a great store of value, currency is a quick form of exchange and now digital transactions are quicker than using cash. Although digital money is fast it isn't accessible to everyone like cash is. Money provides choice and freedom. When someone is broke, they worry about and think about money more than someone who has money. You want to earn the ‘paper' (cash) and then invest the paper into and asset that continues to generate you more and more paper. When you make passively or reoccurring money from assets that is more than your cost of living, you are technically financially free. BEST MOMENTS “You're led to believe that independent banks and governments are independent of one another, they're not, they're one and the same thing” “Fiat currency is debt” “The system isn't designed for you to get rich it's designed for it to get rich” “Take away cash, take away freedom” “Money makes a terrible servant but a great master” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. In this episode, Ash and Kane talk about why, when you have a small audience, baked-in advertising is your best strategy for sponsorship! Related Episode: How Dynamic Advertising Makes You the Most Money KEY TAKEAWAYS Remember that you are often a risk to the advertiser if you have a small audience and no social proof. When you use a baked-in ad, the advertisers effectively ‘own' that episode. This way you are maximising the potential returns for the sponsor and it's easier to sell this to them. ROI might be low for advertisers when a podcast first starts out, but they will continue to earn on that baked-in ad for years to come as the show grows. Do a host read, mid-roll baked-in ad, this is where the sponsor will get the best ROI and will want to continue to invest in your show. You can always switch to dynamic ads as your audience grows. BEST MOMENTS “You're (the advertiser) still going to be getting leads from that ad which you are no longer paying for” “Once you get a bigger audience, you can value your ad slots more” “It's a great first step and it's all about relationships with podcasting” VALUABLE RESOURCES 4 Steps to the Perfect Podcast Launch Just Launch Already! Kane and Ash discuss the multiple reasons why creating a podcast this year could not only grow your business but also build your following, create multiple streams of income and much more! They also discuss why 2023 has more in store for podcasting and podcasters than ever before. KEY TAKEAWAYS Podcasting is the only media that has a long tail; it's an asset that will pay you for weeks, months a years after you create the content. Low competition. There's the same amount of active podcasts as there were YouTube channels back in 2007. High-value content. The content you create for your podcast you can repurpose to use on other channels. BEST MOMENTS “You're going to be getting paid, on the content you forgot you recorded” “It's hard to provide a huge amount of value in sub-60seconds” “If you have a better relationship, they're more likely to buy more from you” “Start with your long-form high-value content and then chop it up for those viral platforms such as TikTok” VALUABLE RESOURCES 4 Steps to the Perfect Podcast Launch Just Launch Already! Nigel Farage: Britain's Most Controversial Politician

The Disruptive Entrepreneur

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 17, 2022 66:48

An incredibly exciting and thought-provoking episode with arguably one of Rob's most Disruptive guests to date, broadcaster and former politician Nigel Farage! Nigel has never been shy in saying what he thinks and backing those thoughts up with actions. Listen in to this episode to hear Nigel's honest thoughts on Coronavirus, UK politics, the world order and what being a Disruptor really means. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Nigel believes that people disrupt things to challenge the status quo. Disruption is often needed to change things for the better, Nigel thinks things haven't been disrupted nearly enough in the world yet. It is plain for all to see that there are a lot of differing and polarising views on coronavirus. Nigel Farage thinks governments haven't been honest enough from the start and it's something we can learn to live with going forward. He is not prepared for his liberties to be taken away from him again so will not obey any further lockdowns. There is a big difference of mindset between a corporate business and the entrepreneur. The government may understand big business somewhat but they certainly don't have a clue about small businesses and entrepreneurs. Nigel's experience of working with the political class has shown him that there is a massive disconnect between the UK government and businesses. It was inevitable that Brexit was going to cause massive changes, there was always going to be winners and losers. However, Nigel thinks there are countless upsides to small business owners and entrepreneurs that the government still hasn't utilised. Tax and Welfare need reforming drastically. Past governments have de-skilled the British population and have also turned what should be a safety net, into a very large welfare state. It has changed young people's mindsets and there is a lack of aspiration among the younger generations especially. Nigel would love to run for Prime Minister but with the current UK system this is just not possible. He thinks that the UK political system needs a complete overhaul and bringing into the 21st century, starting with removing the first past to post system and the house of lords. Nigel believes that Boris Johnson has a very clever act and it has got him very far in his political career. However, he thinks the mood of the public after many lies and most recently, the revealing of all of the covid parties in government, will very likely be the end to it. Pierre-Yves Gerbeau: How I Save Failing Businesses

The Progressive Property Podcast

If you're looking to start a business or simply discover how to grow your existing venture today's guest has some important insights from the former manager of the Millenium dome, Pierre-Yves. Kevin and Pierre-Yves discuss in detail the things you need to do and the traits you need to have for you to succeed in your business. You need to know your product, finances and the business model inside out and they go on to share with you the principles you need to learn to make your business profitable. KEY TAKEAWAYS Does playing professional sports helps you in the transition to business? It helps daily. Managing pressure, manager of stress, manager of success, manager of failure, how you reinvent yourself, how you inspire people in crisis. Management of being able to handle and strive under pressure is quite crucial in the property business. If you ever want to be successful in business, look at the product and say, "Can I reinvent this product? Can I reposition it?" If it's yes, you do it. Then look at the finances, business model. Can I again raise equity, raise debt, can I reinvent the business model, improve the profitability of the business? If yes, then do it and you will be successful. And then last but not least, people, who are the people managing the business? Can I inspire them to do differently as a kind of followers with our credit management style? If it's a yes, then go ahead and do the business because you will succeed. The principle of finance, the principle of good accounting, the principle of making sure you have the skills to do it and surrounding yourself with the right people, it's the same for a small business or major corporation. Do not be shaken by people who are handling multi-million businesses because they are using the same principles you are using in your small business. Keep focused and following those principles and one day you will be like them. When you're in trouble, if you don't bring stamina, energy and positive attitude, you're going to struggle and having a very strong sense of humour because you're going to have dark days, you're going to have days you want to give up and if you have a good laughs at days, you're going to be alright. Your best asset is the people in the business and the most important people, the frontline staff, the guys who are serving the food, who are cleaning the floor, if they're not fitting an integral part in business, you're going to fail. A good entrepreneur is a matchbox. And the matches come in scratch and then shine, and then they go away somewhere else. I think that the responsibility to entrepreneur is not only legacy and building replacement, but it's also allowing others to be able to shine and to develop, and then goes somewhere else and find themselves in other places, being CEO's, Chairman position and they're going to help you and proudly invest in your business saying that this is the guy that allowed me to be here. The golden rule in any business. If the business plan or the business model is not right and the people are not right, just don't get involved. For you to succeed in business, you need to be very adaptable and be reactive because preferences are changing regularly as the generations change. The role of a good leader is to be able to predict, to be able to anticipate. Advice to people who are starting a business, small is beautiful, it's not about getting big, is again, it's being successful on your own, and then few if you want to grow, make sure you surround yourself with the right people and it's all about going big, step by step and make sure you got around you people who are going to support you, embrace you and drive this thing forward with you and take them with you for a long time. It is crucial for anybody starting a business to find one or two mentors. Somebody you can trust, somebody who believes in you, somebody who embraces you, somebody, that kick your ass when it's needed for you to grow.   BEST MOMENTS “You're as good as your last one.” “Principles are the same for a small business or major corporation.” "If you're going to carry responsibilities, and you're going to be the captain of the team, you got to lead by example, it's not doing what I say not what I do, it doesn't work that way.” “Property is not about buying houses, the property is about people.” “As a property owner, if you're not able to attract the right attitude towards the entire network of your tenants or your business partner, you're just going to fail. “ “The more I practice, the luckier I get.” “Key values, loyalty, honesty, ethics, that's all we ask from people.” “When you are at the helm of something big, you got all the fair-weather friends that come out.” “Entrepreneurs or leaders are never on the job, they're on a mission.” “It's fine to have an ego because you need that confidence because if you're shaky, people won't follow you.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://kevinmcdonnell.co.uk/ ABOUT THE GUEST The charismatic Frenchman, Pierre-Yves Gerbeau certainly has a highly successful CV and the ability to bring a little sparkle to any boardroom, with an approach which made him a mini-celebrity during his time in charge of the Millennium Dome, now better known as the O2 Arena, with the tabloid press nicknaming him 'The Gerbil'. Paul is joined by returning guest Peter Lowe for the third in a mini-series based around Peter's book, ‘The Language of Winning'. This episode looks at Chapters 4 – You Are The Leader, and 5 – Dangers Of The Emotional Tree. This conversation covers topics from leaders understanding every member of their team and recognising their individual strengths which can strengthen the whole team, to keeping your emotions in check when things go wrong so you don't spiral into negative thinking. KEY TAKEAWAYS Successful leaders are people who have developed their own skills, there are also leaders who already have the skills but have built on them and they bring their character and personality come to the fore. You've got to know your people inside out and have a curiosity about who they are and what they need. The weakest person today could be leading the pack tomorrow, don't overlook anyone. In my football career we were all at our worst when we were at our emotional highest, when we experienced results in that business/game that were negative there comes a stage where our emotions take over, which generates negative responses. The challenge of a leader is whether they like it or not they must be all things to all people, that's the seat they sit in and if they're not prepared to accept what that means before they sit in that seat they shouldn't take that seat because they'll be letting their people down before they start. BEST MOMENTS ‘You're only ever as good as your weakest cog.' ‘Leaders don't create followers, they create leaders.' ‘There's formal leadership and informal leadership, I'm cool with having informal leaders.' ‘Once your emotional control is gone your effectiveness is zero.' Understanding how people tick and how to help them realise their potential was instrumental to his career at MCFC.  A man who speaks from the heart using real life insights, Pete believes that culture must support strategy and leaders create leaders, not followers. www.petelowe.com ABOUT THE HOST Paul has made a remarkable transformation from existing for many years in dark, desperate despair; to now living a really healthy, happy and fulfilling life. The Disruptive Entrepreneur

This episode is the host to Rob's ever first LIVE ask me anything!   Nothing is off limits, listen in whilst Rob answers questions ranging from how he deals with haters to why entrepreneurship is a peoples game.   KEY TAKEAWAYS    There's lots of different ways to deal with haters. If you can prove they have caused loss of business then you can even go to a lawyer –but this can be complicated and expensive. It can be worth trying to contact the ‘hater' directly and appeal to them/try and understand why they are doing it. Of course, you can also just get rid of them from your internet space by blocking them on all platforms. Entrepreneurship is primarily a people's game. You need to know people and customers to market to them, you need to learn from others, collaborate and eventually you will need a team of people in your journey. Surprising to some people, Rob wouldn't go on dragons den, it's not his area of expertise. Him and Mark work businesses from the ground up – they don't invest in companies just starting out. Seek to understand those who you initially think are in the wrong. In this episode Rob acknowledges that mindfulness and meditation are the current trends but you DON'T need either! Instead he gives alternative tips to get you hyper focused on what you actually need to get the results and success you want.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Rob isn't saying that meditation is a bad thing. It works incredibly well for some people and it may work for you in the future. But he points out the pressure to mediate and to do these various acts of mindfulness can actually add pressure where it isn't needed and instead have an adverse effect on your results. You just need to find your way of clearing your mind so that you can then focus on the things you want and need to, whether that be through writing, playing sport or anything else.   BEST MOMENTS   “You're at one with the thing”   “There are millions on the planet who haven't had to meditate to be successful”   “If your mind is full of shit, you can't”   “Mindfulness is being able to do nothing or one thing without distraction”   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks     ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. In this episode, Rob speaks to Stuart Fairlie who is the Technical and Operations Director at Elmhurst Energy. They discuss how the way the upcoming changes to the Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) system is likely to impact property portfolio owners and ordinary households.   The episode includes an explanation of how EPC ratings work and where the way energy is managed in properties is likely to go as the government works to make homes greener. It also includes numerous tips you can use to improve your energy rating.   Sign Up For MSOPI Here: https://bit.ly/msopi-nomad   KEY TAKEAWAYS The UK has the least energy-efficient buildings in Western Europe. Changing this is a key government goal. You can get quite a hefty fine for not having an EPC. If a property is rated F or G, in most cases, you will not be able to start a new tenancy. At least in England and Wales. There are several legitimate ways to get around this issue, which are explained in the podcast. In coming years, the government is likely to stop new tenancies for C and D-rated properties as well. To get a better energy rating you always have to invest in the building. Your energy assessor will tell you which improvements will give you the biggest bang for your buck. Improving the fabric of the building e.g., upgrading the insulation is the key to a good rating. Normally modern boilers and cylinders worth looking at changing. The government will be using legislation to encourage ordinary homeowners to make their current homes more energy efficient. Mortgage lenders are starting to be asked to consider environmental factors when lending. New build energy efficiency legislation is due to be upgraded at the end of 2021 and come into full effect from June next year. All countries in the UK have changes to the legislation planned. When energy legislation is tightened there is normally funding available to help. Some of the sources for this are discussed in the podcast.     BEST MOMENTS ‘You're gonna have to start to invest in the property to get it to be to be more energy-efficient.' ‘All roads are leading to more energy-efficient buildings.' ‘We've been pushing recently that you should show all of the different metrics on the UPC because people are motivated by different things.' ‘For energy improvement, there´s always some form of funding there.'     EPISODE RESOURCES Twitter: @ElmhurstEnergy Elmhurst Energy Facebook Elmhurst Energy LinkedIn https://www.elmhurstenergy.co.uk/ MEES guides for landlords rob@tpnpodcast.com   VALUABLE RESOURCES The Property Nomads Website  Buy to Let: How to Get Started – By Rob Smallbone (Amazon)   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Smallbone the host of The Property Nomads Podcast, is on a global mission to guide your success. Grant Cardone: The Greatest Advice For Young Entrepreneurs

The Disruptive Entrepreneur

In today's exciting episode Rob speaks to Grant Cardone about entrepreneurship and crucially, asks him what his advice would be for young entrepreneurs today!   After suffering the loss of his Dad and older brother at a young age Grant has always felt like he is in a bit of a rush in life. He also lost parts of his life to drugs and so understands more than most that none of us know how much time we have on this earth, we need to make the most of what we can.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Grant is seemingly everywhere all of the time at the moment! He says he is just trying to get the right message to the right people. That is his mission. Grant suffered with a drug problem for many years. After being left completely alone in the world he decided to go to treatment where he managed to get off the drugs. He then had to make up a lot of damage he had done and start to rebuild his life. He took this energy and put it into his sales job, creating a career. You are never too young to realise you live on a planet that runs on finances. We can teach our children this early to get them prepared for the inevitable. Children can easily make more money than their parents, there are ample opportunities out there.   The game is communication. Having great communication skills early on and being able to argue effectively is invaluable.   If Grant was 15 today, he would be going after the kid/parent market, would create a YouTube channel about how parents can enable their children to learn faster. He would create hacks, courses and books. He would attract a large audience so he could then sell to them. If you don't have an audience you don't have a business, so that is the first step.   An entrepreneur is a risk taker. To be an entrepreneur you HAVE to take risks, it's in the job description!   BEST MOMENTS   “You're everywhere!”   “I took all that energy and put that into my sales career”   “I'm terrified that I am running out of time all the time”   “They make money their parents couldn't even dream of making” “Everyone is judgmental” “It's easy for a kid to set themselves apart“ “Don't spend time with idiots”   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks     ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. This is the result of a three hour Clubhouse Room he did recently where Rob and other members, many of whom have multi millions of followers across their various channels, discussed strategies and tactics on how to 10x followers.  These vary from the more obvious social media platforms and ways you can manipulate the functions in these, to other not so obvious methods you may not have thought of!    KEY TAKEAWAYS - Have a podcast – if you've not already started a podcast, you're missing reaching a massive new audience. Podcast listeners are buyers; they are different to Facebook followers and Clubhouse Room followers.  Please direct message Rob for any help with setting up the tech and logistics etc. - Have a You Tube channel and go live with your interviews. This way you'll not only reach your own audience but the audience of the person you've interviewed.  - Do shout out story collaborations with other users on Facebook and Instagram – if they do the same for you, you'll grow your audience. - Do Clubhouse Rooms – you'll find users from around the world you've not found on other channels and consider collaborating with other members; this is an invaluable way of reaching a new audience. - Email joint venture swaps – look for people who have a database a level below you or a level above you in the number of followers they have to forward your content to. - Daily Tik Tok videos – don't dismiss it if you don't think you're young or trendy enough, it's not all about lip synching and dancing.  Merge what you know with Tik-Tok. In addition, daily Instagram reels is like Tik-Tok for Instagram – the reach is massive. - Create content for bigger followers – tag influencers who have more followers than you in on your content, this will get you more shares and engagement especially if they engage with the post too. Also comment on big influencers – if you're not commenting on the influencers you want to get noticed by, they won't know you exist. - Hand write letters to people you want on your podcast, to good clients, influencers you'd like to collaborate with. No one writes letters these days, so when someone receives a hand written letter they're much more likely to accept a collaboration with you.   BEST MOMENTS ‘You're better off getting five micro influencer at 20,000 level shout outs than you are one at a 100,000 level due to the level of engagement' ‘Go where the virality is; don't get set on the one platform' ‘Create engagement, discussion; not trolling debate, insightful debate'   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Discover today how to sex up your offers and learn how following these simple steps can help you sell much more. Today Rob discusses the importance of outlining the opportunity your product can give to your audience, why it is crucial to show them the uniqueness of your product and how to overcome the doubters and sceptics.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Show people the opportunity. The opportunity may be new, time-limited or something that is huge right now. Perhaps there is a lockdown opportunity or an e-commerce opportunity. People love to take opportunities and if you can take the time to show them that this is an opportunity for them to make a change then your product will look sexier.   Think about what is unique about your product or service? There are two elements of uniqueness. Number one is why is it unique to your business and why have you never offered it before, secondly what is unique about your product in your niche market?   Overcome what's stopping people from using your product or service. If you don't know what is stopping people from using your product, then they will never buy it until these issues have been overcome.   Why you? Why should they use you over your competitors? You need to explain why somebody should choose you by demonstrating that you are trustworthy, have proof your product is successful and let them know that you care.   There are many sceptical people out there but even none sceptical people will have their doubts and their concerns. You need to overcome these doubts and think as if you are a sceptical person and help solve the doubts your audience may have.     BEST MOMENTS “You're probably going to be able to double your sales.” “Can you get a course online less than $20 which is essentially like a deep dive masterclass on how to make an offer more compelling?” “Who is to blame and how do you solve that problem?”   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. The eternal debate continues around which is more important - sale or marketing?   They both have their place in any business, but as Steven discusses today, it's all a matter of timing when it comes to their importance.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Learning the art of sales is more important in the initial phases than marketing. You have to be able to chase leads and close them in order to build. Goals and vision are crucial. If you don't have a target, then you won't know which clients to pursue, or which type of income will be supporting you. Grit and determination are core elements for any sales team. Putting yourself out there, and living outside of your comfort zone, you build the resilience that will shield you from fear.   BEST MOMENTS   ‘You're going to be handed some gold, and you're going to turn it into rubbish' ‘You need to have your goals and your vision intact' ‘If you're going to kickstart your company, you need to have really determined people'   VALUABLE RESOURCES   The Steven Sulley Study     ABOUT THE HOST   The Steven Sulley Study is my take on success. This week, Natasia Hieber joins Lucinda for a masterclass in apprenticeships, focusing specifically upon helping to make them work for our organisations, but also to understand how we can use apprenticeships to further our HR careers. KEY TAKEAWAYS HR apprenticeships are a wonderful way to learn, as so often we learn about HR, but are unable to translate these learnings to our organisations. By learning through apprenticeships programmes, we have to learn the specifics that fit our organisations. In order to gain government funding for apprenticeships, organisations usually need to have more than 50 employees, or be regarded as as sizeable concern. Apprentice's payments are funded up to 80% by the government, with 20% being paid by the organisation. Furthermore, the government is able to pay this contribution through a tax reduction for the company. Indeed, apprenticeships allow for organisations to fully train their professionals to CIPD standards without having to fund the entirety of such development. Another positive is that we see this growth happen in real time. BEST MOMENTS ‘You're basically getting free talent for your organisation' 'This is great time to create funded roles' 'This is a great way for organisations to grow, and to develop new talent into the business' ‘Apprenticeships bring creativity out' VALUABLE RESOURCES Host of The HR Uprising Podcast, Lucinda Carney, is also the founder and CEO of Actus Software, where you can find additional free HR Resources: https://actus.co.uk/free-performance-management-resources/ Virtual Change Superhero Training For organisations wanting to set up an Apprenticeship scheme please go to: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/manage-apprenticeship-funds Guidance for small businesses https://smallbusiness.co.uk/set-apprenticeship-scheme-small-business-2539899/ For job seekers looking to get onto an apprenticeship - find and apply for one on these sites: https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship https://www.findapprenticeships.co.uk/ https://www.ucas.com/alternatives/apprenticeships/apprenticeships-england/how-find-apprenticeships-england https://www.getmyfirstjob.co.uk/ The HR Uprising Podcast | Apple | Spotify | Stitcher   The HR Uprising LinkedIn Group Change Superhero Resources Book: How To Be A Change Superhero - by Lucinda Carney Free Change Toolkit: www.changesuperhero.com Latest Performance Management Blog   ABOUT THE GUEST   Natasia Hieber has been an avid member of the HR community since 2007 She holds a BA (Hons) in Business Communication, an MA in International Human Resource Management and a PGCE in Education. Your 8 Responsibilities For Making Money

The Money Podcast

Have you ever read a story where a celebrity or public figure has lost all their money and wondered how is that possible? Well, discover today how not to do that with these eight responsibilities that will help you master your own wealth. Learn the importance of never spending more than you earn, surrounding yourself with the right people as well as the huge money drains you should avoid helping to retain your wealth.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Never spend more than you earn, what you should do is to target and ever reducing percentage spend of your income. For example, if you are currently spending 100% of your income each month, then you should target to spend 90% of your income and slowly reduce your outgoings so that your wealth goes up. Become money independent. Becoming money independent means that you have assets that create residual income or there is no reliance or dependence on other people for your income. Surround yourself with wise people. A big common trait in those who made their fortunes quickly and lost it all is that they had a lot of ‘hanger on-ers' and people who exploited them for their own financial benefit. If you get wise people around you such as mentors, business owners and those who add value to your life then this will reflect on your personal happiness and wealth. You must measure and monitor your money by tracking your spending, tracking your net worth and understanding how many months cash flow you have. You cannot master what you do not measure and many people who have lost all their money simply were not tracking their money correctly. Avoid the huge money drains such as the liabilities and the lawsuits. There are many liabilities out there such as depreciating assets When you spend to try and buy stuff in the sale or where you get money off the asking price. Try to avoid any situations where you may need a high costing lawyer/financial accountant as that is a huge drain on your resources.   BEST MOMENTS “You're going to be a master of it rather than a slave to it.” “Your highs and lows of emotions will cost you money. Try when possible not to spend when you're emotionally volatile.” “You want to have a periodic cleanse of the people around you and make sure that people lift you up” “Find happiness in other ways rather than spending money.”   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Sportspeople (athletes, trainers, coaches, etc.) aren't susceptible to mental health problems just like everyone else. There's too much pressure and too much stereotyping (hello machismo!) that need to be changed/removed in professional sports. In this episode of The Steven Sully Study Podcast, Steven chats with Pace Journal Creative Director Shahbaz Choudhry about his personal experiences, his business, and his advocacies. Lately, he has been very passionate about bringing forward mental health awareness to the sports community. For example, in the recently-launched song he has helped produced, which was titled ‘Keep Balanced', he wants to initiate more conversations about balancing physical & mental wellbeing to fully live one's dreams. Shahbaz tells more about this today, so listen in. KEY TAKEAWAYS Shahbaz started Pace Journal as an escape or a buffer from cricket. Through Pace Journal, people can learn everything about fast bowling and hear stories from professional bowlers. Shahbaz helped produced the ‘world's fast bowling anthem' Keep Balanced, which was sang by Base Staxckz. It aims to encourage mental health awareness not just for the athletes, but for everyone. The beats are perfect to pump you up before any game. They just recently concluded the filming of its music video. Shahbaz and his team have been working hard and are very proud of their work. It will be launched soon. There isn't a specific pathway to success. Yours will differ from the others—from the successful entrepreneurs, from your mentors, from your colleagues, etc. But, if you find what's suitable for you, then success will come. BEST MOMENTS “You're going to need to find that balance where you're doing enough but also not overdoing it to the point that it's clouding your judgment.” “…What it means to me is when you get to that moment whether it's adversity in life, going through a struggle, or going through a very important scenario, you need to keep your emotions balanced.” “I had a dream; I didn't live the dream. My dream is for you guys know.” “If you're feeling down or depressed that this isn't working for you, just remember that the skills and the experience can be used elsewhere.” VALUABLE RESOURCES Pace Journal: https://pacejournal.co/ Pace Journal on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pacejournal/  Keep Balanced by Base Staxckz (song) | Spotify | Apple | Deezer The Steven Sully Study Podcast: Are You Naturally Born With it? Shahbaz' Twitter: https://twitter.com/shahbazsaid Pace Journal: https://pacejournal.co/ ABOUT THE HOST The Steven Sulley Study is my take on success. My view is you should focus on several key areas to be a well-rounded individual. Success should not be just one thing like money, for example, it should also comprise a healthy fit lifestyle and thriving relationships. As a person who has made a success in life and also made some cock-ups, I can offer suggestions and tips on how to become successful or at least start your pursuit of success. I started from leaving school at 16 with very poor school results to pursue a career in plumbing following the directions of my parents that then lead me to a barrister's chamber and then to a sales floor. From here, I established a foothold in the sales market promoting financial products as well as being a founder of an art agency that has a Soho based art studio. In addition, I have invested into an urban fashion brand and into a wellness tech company, and my latest addition to the business portfolio is a property company that which creates HMO's in Medway, Kent. The diverse range of industries I find myself in has allowed me to create wealth that enables me to be my own boss so I can pursue my dreams. As a former boxer and avid sportsman, I find there are similarities between the running of businesses and competing. In my episodes, I will be sharing some of my experiences to explore deeper these connections and how they may bring you success." If you're looking to start a business or simply discover how to grow your existing venture today's guest has some important insights from the former manager of the Millenium dome, Pierre-Yves. He was also a hockey player for about eight years. ABOUT THE HOST Kevin McDonnell is a Speaker, Author, Mentor & Professional Property Investor. “All depression and loneliness by definition is just 10x worse in business when you're alone.” Entrepreneurs aren't bulletproof in terms of their well-being. The rollercoaster of schedule, tasks, and various people you meet can take its toll on your mental health, and consequently, on your business. In this episode of The Disruptive Entrepreneur Podcast, Rob helps you on dealing with depression in business. First off, it's important to consult a professional when you think you're feeling there's something wrong. The following are just different ways on how you can understand your mind and personality to avoid any mental illness from happening and to keep your business running. A high-performance company needs individuals with healthy mental well-being. Discover more when you tune in. KEY TAKEAWAYS It's OKAY to ask for help; it's okay to be vulnerable. It doesn't mean that you're weak and incapable. You're just acknowledging that you're human—you're not a superhuman, a god, or an omnipotent body. We face challenges, struggles and failures, and each of us are only equipped with limited resources. Accept that you need others. Don't self-medicate. Consult professional help. If you feel any imbalance in your body and mind, then don't hesitate to approach someone. Be wary of what might have caused this. Maybe you're overworking yourself or overthinking about stuff. Meeting and inspiring other people can instantly lift your spirits. Get around nature—when exposed to the beauty of it, all fears, stress, and doubts are removed. Exercise also to remove all the toxins and to release happy hormones. The challenges that come in your life should be a motivation for you to better yourself and to conquer each day. It's unpredictable when and how they come in your life. Never doubt yourself that you'll never get past them—you need them to learn and to grow. BEST MOMENTS “You're not alone even if you feel you are.” “Talking with other people is cathartic.” “When you let things bottle up, you become subservient or slightly weak.” “Don't deny what you're feeling; allow to feel what you're feeling.” “Having critics is great because it prepares you for your higher level of your business.” ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor and property educator.
