El teléfono móvil se ha convertido en una especie de apéndice de nuestro cuerpo, especialmente en las nuevas generaciones. Prácticamente todos los adolescentes españoles ya disponen de un Smartphone según el informe "Impacto de la tecnología en la adolescencia. Relaciones, riesgos y oportunidades" desarrollado por UNICEF, la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela y el Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales de Ingeniería en Informática (CCII). La edad media de acceso al móvil está en los 11 años, y el uso mayoritario es la conexión a internet. Según Fernando Suárez, presidente del CCII, el móvil es un elemento muy intrusivo que llevamos a todos lados y en todo momento, y no es raro ver a los chavales más pendientes del aparato que de los compañeros o el entorno en el que se encuentran, aunque esta conducta también se aprecia en los adultos. Uno de los problemas detectados es que 6 de cada 10 adolescentes duermen con el móvil y el 20% se conecta de madrugada. Casi un tercio de los encuestados pasa más de 5 horas diarias enganchado a Internet en día laborable, cifra que asciende a la mitad durante el fin de semana. Casi todos dicen sentirse alegres y felices de estar en la red, el 81 por ciento se relaja y un 79 por ciento encuentra placer o diversión. Pero estar pegado al móvil también tiene sus riesgos. Casi la mitad admite haber recibido alguna vez mensajes de contenido erótico, el 8% manifiesta haber enviado fotos o vídeos personales de carácter sexual y más del triple asegura haberlos recibido. De hecho, el estudio constata una escasa supervisión parental: sólo tres de cada 10 adolescentes señalan que sus padres les ponen algún tipo de normas y un 25% tiene discusiones en casa por el uso de la tecnología al menos una vez a la semana. Fernando Suárez no cree que el control excesivo sea una buena fórmula para mantenerlos alejados de los peligros de internet y aboga por la educación, el acompañamiento y por establecer una buena higiene digital en el hogar.   Escuchar audio
