When Black Orchid Empire have new music, we all pay attention. They create huge, memorable rock music that combines heavy-hitting savagery with intense melodic beauty. 25 Jahre nach ihrem letzten Album wollen es Allison nochmals wissen. „They Never Come Back“ heisst das jüngste Werk der Band, das am 13. November über 6003 Records veröffentlicht wird. Die Scheibe strotzt nur so vor eingängigen Songs, Optimismus und unbändiger Spielfreude. Allison waren in den 90er Jahren ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Schweizer Rockszene. Mit zwei fantastischen Alben spielten sie sich in die Herzen der Rockfans im In- und Ausland. Die packende Ballade „I’ve Been Waiting“ ging nicht nur als Werbesong für C&A um die Welt, sondern war auch in einer Neuinterpretation unter dem Titel „Dreams of Glory“ als ARD-Song zur FussballWeltmeisterschaft 1994 einen Sommer lang in Dauerrotation zu hören. Mit Gigs im In- und Ausland, bei welchen Allison als Headliner oder im Vorprogramm internationaler Acts wie Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Asia oder Pink Cream 69 agierten, festigten sie ihren Ruf als heisser Live-Act. Das absolute Konzerthighlight war der Auftritt am 10. Juni 1995 im ausverkauften ehrwürdigen Basler St. Jakobstadion als Opener für Thunder, Van Halen und Bon Jovi vor 55‘000 begeisterten Fans. Ein Vierteljahrhundert hats gedauert, bis die Gründungsmitglieder Janet La Rose, Jonny Stutz und Pierce Baltino die Zeit für reif befanden, endlich ihr drittes Album zu produzieren. Doch nun sind Allison bereit, noch einmal ordentlich Gas zu geben. Aufgenommen wurde das neuste Werk von Tommy Vetterli (Eluveitie, Cellar Darling, Kreator) und Claudio Cueni (Beware Of Darkness, The Temptations, Boys II Men) in den News Sound Studios, wobei Letzterer für den Mix und das Mastering im Candyhouse East Studio verantwortlich zeichnet.
