Jeffrey Epstein appeared to make the collection of information about powerful people part of the way he operated, cultivating relationships with politicians, financiers, academics, royalty and business leaders while surrounding himself with extraordinary access to their private lives. Accounts from people in his orbit, along with photographs, correspondence, calendars and other records recovered or released over the years, have fueled longstanding questions about whether Epstein deliberately accumulated compromising or potentially useful information about the people around him. That does not establish that every prominent person he knew was being blackmailed, nor has a comprehensive blackmail operation been proved in court. But Epstein clearly valued information, access and leverage, and the extraordinary overlap between his sexual abuse operation and his network of influential associates has made the question impossible to dismiss. The suspicion became even more significant because Virginia Giuffre alleged that Epstein directed her into sexual encounters with powerful men, including Prince Andrew, while Epstein maintained relationships with those same people. Andrew denied Giuffre's allegations and later settled her civil lawsuit without admitting liability. One of the most striking moments came during Epstein's deposition in Virginia Giuffre's defamation litigation against Ghislaine Maxwell. Attorney Paul Cassell questioned Epstein about Prince Andrew, including whether Epstein and Maxwell had instructed Giuffre to have sex with Andrew, whether Andrew had sex with her on multiple occasions, and whether Epstein had attempted to collect information that could be used to blackmail the royal. Epstein did not simply deny the proposition. He repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refused to answer the questions, including questions about whether information emerging from the litigation could damage Andrew's reputation. Invoking the Fifth Amendment was Epstein's constitutional right and, by itself, was not proof that he possessed blackmail material or had blackmailed Andrew. Nevertheless, given the specific nature of the questioning, Epstein's refusal to provide answers left one of the most consequential questions surrounding his relationship with powerful people unresolved: whether the secrets he accumulated were merely a byproduct of his extraordinary access, or whether information itself was another form of currency and leverage within the world he built.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

In this episode, Carl reflects on a summer that showed America at its best, and warns about a current running beneath it. Fresh off the 250th anniversary of the United States and a World Cup that drew hundreds of thousands of visitors, Carl shares what he's been hearing and why it's pushed him to speak out. Visitors from Europe and beyond left saying America was nothing like the country described in their home press. But alongside that pride, Carl points to a darker undercurrent: rising antisemitism and growing sympathy for communism among younger Americans, which he traces to decades of educational failure. A generation raised without strong historical literacy, he argues, has no framework to evaluate the ideologies it's being handed. Drawing on his memory of standing in Berlin in November 1989 as the Wall came down, Carl runs through the twentieth century's record on communism (the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela, Cambodia, China) and argues it ended in mass death everywhere it took root. He revisits Joseph McCarthy, saying history has vindicated warnings once dismissed, and draws a parallel to how small, organized groups, from the Bolsheviks to the Nazi Party in 1930s Germany, seized control of nations despite representing a small minority. Carl turns to the present: a Democratic Party platform he says now includes eliminating the Senate, restructuring the Supreme Court, ending private property rights, and slashing defense spending; concerns about election integrity, citing a recent Los Angeles race; and the decision to eliminate Iran's nuclear capability as a necessary check against extremism. He connects the erosion of Judeo-Christian foundations, including churches he feels have drifted from scripture, to a broader loss of moral clarity. Carl closes on a personal note: rather than despair, he's taking his grandson to lunch to talk through what the younger generation actually knows, framing it as a responsibility every American shares. Invoking the Founding Fathers ("we stand together, or we hang alone"), he asks listeners what they're going to do to pass on the truth.

Jeffrey Epstein Refuses To Answer Questions About Prince Andrew During A Deposition

The Epstein Chronicles

During a 2016 deposition connected to Virginia Giuffre's defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination when attorneys questioned him about his sexual conduct and relationships with powerful associates. When the questioning turned to Prince Andrew, Epstein refused to provide substantive answers, relying on the Fifth rather than confirming or denying details about Andrew's visits, his interactions with Giuffre, or Epstein's alleged role in arranging sexual encounters. His refusal came amid Giuffre's allegations that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to the prince on multiple occasions, claims Andrew consistently denied before settling Giuffre's civil lawsuit in 2022 without admitting liability.Invoking the Fifth was not legally an admission that Epstein's allegations involving Andrew were true, but it allowed him to avoid testimony that might expose him to additional criminal liability or contradict the accounts he and his associates had presented. Epstein used the privilege broadly throughout the deposition, declining to answer numerous questions about abuse, trafficking and the people within his circle. In practical terms, his silence ensured that one of the central figures in the scandal never gave a sworn explanation of what Prince Andrew knew, why he spent time at Epstein's properties or whether Epstein facilitated the encounters described by Giuffre. The deposition therefore became another example of Epstein using legal protections to prevent direct scrutiny of the relationships at the heart of his trafficking network.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Invoking the Constitution, they fight for their homes, for a better education for their children, and to save their cities from violence. “Finding the right answer,” Justice Thomas has observed, “is often the least difficult problem.” What is needed is “the courage to assert that answer and stand firm in the face of the constant winds of protest and criticism.”Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A breakup, a desperate prayer, and a month of unsettling phone calls at a construction site set Moustapha Ozturk on a path he never expected. Years later, that path becomes his book, Invoking the Holy Spirit, and a simple but demanding claim: forgiveness is not about pretending something didn't hurt, it's about releasing the anxiety and pain that keep replaying in our minds. If you've ever felt stuck in old patterns, carrying stress you can't explain, or longing for real inner peace, this conversation meets you right where you are.  We talk about what forgiveness actually is (and what it is not), why the ego clings to fear, and how a noisy, cluttered mind can become its own kind of prison. Moustapha shares practical ways he settles himself when life feels overwhelming, including the kind of self-talk and presence that helps you step out of worry and into clarity. He also explains spirituality as connection rather than dogma, and why making space inside your mind matters if you want a deeper relationship with God.  Along the way, we dig into vivid moments he believes were direct guidance, including a split-second warning to “hit the deck” before an explosion on a rooftop fire, plus reflections on suffering, courage, and choosing nonjudgment when it counts. If you want Christian spirituality, forgiveness practices, and real-world stories of faith under pressure, you'll find a lot to sit with here. The readings for this homily: https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/031226.cfmFather Daniel Klimek, PhD, addresses the reality of spiritual warfare, explaining that life involves a cosmic battle between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of Hell. Too often, the Gospel is watered down to a horizontal message of kindness, yet Christianity calls believers to a vertical relationship with God that empowers horizontal love. This deeper reality gives life eternal meaning as part of a great epic story, including a long battle between light and darkness.Father Daniel discusses the devil appearing to saints like Padre Pio, John Vianney, and Faustina, wise Christians who saw that praying for others infuriated the enemy and frustrated the designs of hell. Our Lady of Fatima revealed to the three shepherd children a vision of hell, explaining that many souls are lost because no one prays or sacrifices for them. Through prayer, fasting, and the Rosary, the faithful can help Jesus and Mary save souls from the grasp of the demonic.Believers should hope, not merely for mercy on the day of judgment, but to stand before God with thousands of souls saved through their intercession. Our particular jobs or state of life matters less than the universal vocation: Christian discipleship, which is meant to be lived so that we are each a radiant light bringing souls to Heaven. Saint John Vianney heard the devil say, "I hate you, Vianney, because you have taken more than a thousand souls from me."Temptation comes from three sources: the world, the flesh, and the devil. Not every temptation originates from the devil, and using him as a scapegoat is unhealthy. A strong spiritual life — daily prayer, frequent well-prepared reception of the Eucharist, spiritual reading, and custody of the senses — cultivates an interior life within a spiritual fortress that weakens concupiscence (the tendency of our fallen human nature toward sin).Rather than reciting prayers solely at day's end, believers should pray throughout the day. Invoking the sacred names of Jesus and Mary invites their presence. The final words of saints often include these names, showing intimacy with our Lord and Our Lady. Nothing should be done without them. ★ Support this podcast ★

Dr. Jim interviews Dr. Julia Sheffield, professor at Vanderbilt University and clinician specializing in psychotic and delusional disorders. She discusses her research and her interview with The New York Times on how AI chatbots may unintentionally reinforce or contribute to delusional thinking.Dr. Sheffield explains how AI can mirror and amplify distorted beliefs by bypassing reality testing, raising concerns about vulnerable users forming unhealthy attachments — reminiscent of Her starring Joaquin Phoenix where a man falls in love with a bot and slowly loses his grounding.Invoking the image of being “10 feet tall” — a nod to - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - people ask Dr. Sheffield how not to fall into the rabbit hole. How altered perception, magnified meaning, and distorted reality can take hold in both human psychology and AI-mediated experience.Dr. Sheffield frames psychosis on a spectrum and challenges the field's overreliance on the medical model, emphasizing that therapy can be highly effective. She calls for clinicians to engage more confidently with this often-avoided yet deeply treatable population.A timely conversation at the intersection of AI, attachment, delusion, and reality.Credits:River is High, Ticketless TravelerCarl Reisman, guitar, singer, and songwriterJenny Goodwine, vocalsJames Singleton, bassJohnny Vidocovich, drumsDave Easley, steel guitarProduced by Morgan Orion Reismanfor more information, carlreisman@gmail.comCopyright 2025WCMI networking group A networking group for mindfulness-focused clinicians dedicated to learning together & collaborating for more information click here

Nationally recognized psychiatrist, internist, and addiction medicine specialist Muhamad Aly Rifai discusses his article "Physician legal rights: What to do when agents knock." Muhamad shares a terrifying but essential guide for any doctor facing an unexpected visit from federal agents or investigators. He explains why the physician's natural instinct to educate, reassure, and be helpful is actually a liability that can lead to a prison sentence. The conversation highlights the critical legal distinction established in Salinas v. Texas which means silence alone is not enough to protect you without a verbal invocation of rights. Muhamad contrasts real-life case studies of doctors who talked and lost everything with those who remained silent and were exonerated. As we come together in this moment, I emphasize the importance of guided meditation as a powerful tool on the healing journey. Many of us experience emotional, physical, or spiritual suffering that stems from our tendency to dwell on the past or fret about the future. This constant state of hyper-alertness can lead to exhaustion and disconnection from the peace we seek. Guided meditation offers a gentle navigation back to that tranquility, allowing us to release the strain of overthinking and rest in the present. The meditation I lead invites listeners to embrace a state of calmness. I encourage participants to step away from their daily activities and distractions and embark on this restorative journey. I share the concept of offering our nervous system a guiding hand, which allows us to soften and receive comfort instead of striving or giving. The guided nature of this meditation enables a deeper state of rest, helping to invigorate the body's natural healing processes. As we commence our meditation, participants are invited to find a position that feels supportive and to engage in mindful breathing. They are guided to visualize their worries settling like snowflakes, creating tranquility and stillness. I use imagery, such as a warm, golden light representing hope, to foster feelings of warmth and solace. This light symbolizes a gentle invitation to cherish the joy of the season, even when it seems out of reach. With each breath in, listeners draw this light closer, allowing it to bring comfort to any tightness or exhaustion they feel.#GuidedMeditation #Mindfulness #Meditation #Breathwork #InnerPeace #Relaxation #Calm #Healing #PresentMoment #SelfCare #AnxietyRelief #StressReduction #CalmNervousSystem #RestAndRestore #MentalHealth #EmotionalHealing #LettingGo #ChristmasEve #HolidayMeditation #ChristmasPeace #Hope #HolidayCalm #WinterVibes #QuietJoy #HolidayStressRelief #AnxietyCoachesPodcast #GinaRyan #PodcastMeditation #SleepAid #HopeAndJoy #Softness #Receiving #SelfLove #Tranquility #BeHeld #ACPSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Instead, we begin with a few recent news items—speculation about Trump 2028, Speaker Mike Johnson's refusal to swear in a Democratic congresswoman, the stunning abdication of Congress as the shutdown continues, and, incredibly, a secretive billionaire and Mellon heir donates over a hundred million dollars to pay the military, among others—and then lay out our profound worries about Trump ruling by decree, and the coming of MAGA-style Caeserism.
