Ce numéro commence à l'heure zéro : "In The Court Of Crimson King", par  KING CRIMSON, 1969, LE disque considéré par beaucoup comme étant l'acte de naissance du rock progressif avec son rock aux influences musiques multiples : du classique au jazz, au psychédélique ou l'expérimental. Certes la voie avait été préparée par d'autres acteurs depuis 1966/67, notamment par les Moody blues, que je cite car c'est à leur producteur Tony Clark qu'ont fait appel les sujets de ce roi cramoisi pour finalement le remercier et produire eux-mêmes cet album, chose encore très marginale à l'époque. Extrait de cet album pour lequel Robert Fripp et ses amis ont omis de créditer votre serviteur qui a prêté sa bouille sur la pochette ! (vous comprenez pourquoi je fais de la radio et pas de la télé !!) Quelques années plus tard, la vague punk, new wave et la direction de plus en plus commerciale et de moins en moins artistique des majors aura raison des apprentis sorciers de ce courant musical. Heureusement, le néo-prog est arrivé à la rescousse dès le début des années 80 ! Si MARILLION n'est pas le 1er groupe à relever le défi (Pendragon était né juste avant mais leur 1er album est paru après "Script For A Jester's Tear"), le groupe vocalement représenté alors par Fish était alors le vaisseau amiral de ce rock progressif nouveau. Mais pour le représenter, j'ai choisi un titre issu de la discographie période Steve Hogarth qui fêtait son 70ème anniversaire la semaine dernière (bien qu'il ait oublié de m'inviter !). Extrait de "Brave" en 1994. Petit rappel, le groupe passera par la France en fin d'année avec Lazuli en 1ère partie mais attention, c'est presque partout complet !  Retour sur le rock opéra de FOREIGN : "The Symphonie Of The Wandering Jew". Souvenez vous, le 9 avril dernier (le podcast est bien sur toujours disponible sure cette plateforme) , je vous présentais le single "Activated", extrait de cet album initialement paru en 2014 mais dont deux titres ont été réenregistrés et ainsi publiés cette année par son créateur Ivan Jacquin (également aux commandes de Psychanoïa et Raging Project). Le 2ème single, "By The Sea", à l'instar d' "Activated", est réinterprété par Amanda Somerville, une voix qui compte dans le monde du métal symphonique, je  laisse vos cages à miel vous l'assurer !     Décidément ce premier semestre 2026 aura été riche (enfin plutôt dépensier ! ) pour les fans de YES… Dès le début d'année, le groupe aujourd'hui mené par Steve Howe à publié une réédition de "Yes Symphonic Live", puis du monumental "Tales From Topographic Oceans" (1973) avec notamment son remixage par Steven Wilson et autres performances alternatives et en live. Il y a quelques semaines est ressorti "From A Page", un disque particulièrement intéressant dans la discographie yessienne ! A l'origine, il s'agit d'un EP regroupant quelques titres écrits principalement par Oliver Wakeman, héritant des claviers de son célèbre papa Rick, ce dernier présent dans la grande période du groupe et notamment "Tales..." Ces titres de "From A Page" ont été écrits entre 2008 et 2011, période de réactivation de Yes, sans son chanteur d'origine Jon Anderson en "arrêt maladie"... mais avec la voix du canadien Benoit David. Puis ont refait surface les deux membres des Buggles, Trevor Horn et Geoff Downes (ce dernier étant depuis le claviériste officiel de Yes). Ce duo avait intégré la formation pour l' unique album "Drama" en 1980. Un titre, "Fly From Here" avait alors été ébauché et mis de côté.  Alors en 2011, fort de ces retrouvailles, Wakeman, le fils est invité à laisser sa place à Downes et c'est donc avec cette équipe de "Drama" que le groupe va publier l'album "Fly From Here".  Et puis 2015 est marquée par le décès du bassiste Chris Squire (seul membre a avoir joué sur tous les albums depuis son origine). Oliver Wakeman va alors proposer à ses anciens collègues de publier le matériel enregistré avec lui, ce qui sera validé par Yes et le mini album "From A Page" sera publié avec une édition bonus proposant un live de l'époque (enregistré à Lyon). Cette nouvelle version de "From A Page" est intéressante car outre les titres déjà présents sur la 1er version de 2019 (mais ici remasterisés), l'album propose aussi des titres de travail de cette époque 2008/2011 retravaillés ultérieurement par l' équipe de "Fly From Here" voire carrément inédite pour deux d'entre eux. Résultat, cette nouvelle édition de "From A Page" est plus cohérente et complete que la 1ère version et offre des versions alternatives aux titres entendus la 1ère fois sur "Fly From Here" avec un mixage que je trouve plus favorable ou en tout cas mieux équilibré avec les claviers. En comparaison, ceux tenus par Downes figurant sur "Fly From Here" paraissent plus en retrait. A vous de vous faire votre opinion mais cet album "From A Page", même s'il est plus orienté rock-pop qu'un "Close To The Edge" (on n'est pas à la même époque ! ) reste pour moi un excellent opus ! Extrait dans cette émission avec l'un des deux inédits de cette réédition, un titre à plusieurs voix dont celle de son compositeur Chris Squire en lead, émotion garantie … Et ne rangez pas trop vite votre monnaie, prochaine sortie officielle de Yes dans trois semaines avec cette fois un "vrai" nouvel album qui aura pour titre "Aurora".  Direction la Nouvelle-Zélande pour découvrir (en tout cas pour moi) une artiste atypique :  ALDOUS HARDING. Je la découvre avec déjà son 5ème album "Train On The Island". A l'origine musicienne plutôt folk, j'ai trouvé plus que cela dans sa musique. Aldous Harding dépasse ce genre pour des compositions et des sons plus alternatifs avec parfois des influences psychédélique. J'ai pu lire qu'il y avait une certaine filiation avec un certain Sy Barrett, et ce n'est pas faux ! On retrouve sur cet album (j'avoue ne pas encore avoir écouté les précédents) une interprétation oscillant entre minimalime et fantasque. Extrait dans ce numéro et découverte d'une artiste, qui certes ne fait pas à proprement parler de rock progressif mais sa musique s'intègre parfaitement dans notre univers ! A découvrir pourquoi pas sur scène, par exemple le 12 juin, salle Pleyel à Paris ?  Un p'tit tour du côté du rock progressif italien avec MARY NEWSLETTER, formation débarquée dans le rock prog au début des 90's. Malgré un nom mystérieusement anglo-saxon, le groupe joue bien en version originale. Un extrait de leur album "Del Perduto Corragio" et un son assez atypique, mélange de ce rock progressif particulièrement lyrique comme il se doit de l'autre côté des Alpes mais avec un apport psyché/expérimental tel que pouvait l'être un Pink Floyd pré-Dark Side Of The Moon, le tout très bien produit. Du bon son pour nos oreilles gourmandes !  Si "Cunégonde" nous rend visite régulièrement tout au long de la saison, j'ai ce soir mis de côté ce nouvel album d' ANGE pour un voyage dans le temps, plus précisément en 1974, et dans un univers moyenâgeux et fantasmagorique avec un extrait de l'excellent "Au Delà Du Délire". Un album qui ne rappellera pas forcément de bons souvenirs scéniques à son auteur Christian Décamps qui s'était littéralement explosé un talon lors des répétitions de la tournée consécutive à la sortie de ce disque, l'obligeant à chanter sur un fauteuil roulant lors des premières représentations.    Connaissez-vous DENNIS ATLAS ? Personnellement pas jusqu'à présent malgré un 4ème album solo à son actif et son entrée comme claviériste et choriste dans le gigantesque monde du groupe Toto depuis 2024. Ce californien a été bien éduqué puisque nourrit de Styx ou Queen par exemple, nous propose donc cet excellent opus "Principle" qui vient tout juste de sortir du four. Une bonne part à déguster dans ce numéro. A l'instar de Toto, l'histoire de DEEP PURPLE est parfois ardue à suivre, puisqu'en 1971 à la sortie de "Fireball" il y avait déjà eu quelques modifications depuis la naissance de la formation en 1968. Ils en étaient déjà à leur 5ème album et malgré toutes les difficultés, le groupe est toujours actif avec un nouvel album attendu le 3 juillet prochain : " Splat !". Ce sera leur 23ème forfait en studio et l'occasion de profiter de leur passage dans la région à deux reprises : le 18 juin au Hellfest et le 13 novembre au Zenith de Nantes ! En attendant, retour sur "Fireball".   En matière d'instabilités de formations, l'émission se termine avec un champion du genre puisque GONG ne compte plus aucun membre de la formation d'origine suite au décès de son créateur Daevid Allen en 2015 (il avait fondé Gong en 1967 à Paris où il était exilé). Mark Richards (1953–) is a convicted murderer serving life without parole in California State Prison, SolanoWikipedia's W.svg at Vacaville, California.[1] He prefers to be known as "Captain" Richards, although he never served in the military. After graduating from high school in 1971, he attended the College of Marin and then graduated from Dominican College in San Rafael in 1976. He has spun multiple bizarre yarns about his service in the so-called "Secret Space Program" battling alien forces, in addition to his imaginary service in the US NavyInvestigation by a journalist from the Marin Independent Journal revealed a dimension to the murder that was literally incredible. The writer, Erik Ingram, reported that behind the Baldwin murder "may be a secret organization, called Pendragon, that appeared to be planning an armed takeover of Marin." Ingram reported that police detectives had retrieved from Richards' home maps, aerial photographs of Marin County, plans for a laser-gun, instructions for the construction of machine-guns, and "notebooks containing references to a new form of government." He wrote that behind the Baldwin murder "may be a secret organization, called Pendragon, that appeared to be planning an armed takeover of Marin."In the weeks that followed, a number of witnesses came forward with stories indicating that the Pendragon group in fact existed. Crossie Hoover told investigators that one of the inducements to the murder was Richards' promise to appoint him Duke of Angel's Island. It appears that Richards fantasized about converting Marin County into a version of King Arthur's Camelot, with himself as King. He allegedly promoted plans in meetings with his workers to take over Marin County by destroying the Golden Gate and Richmond-San Rafael bridges and placing a laser gun on top of Mount Tamalpais. Carl Shapiro, a San Anselmo attorney representing Richards, asserted that the documents found by the police were research materials for a science-fiction book (Imperial Marin) that Richards was writing. The prosecution countered that regardless of Richards's writing, he used the Pendragon material to manipulate Hoover into committing the murder. Starting in November 2013, Richards became a major source for conspiracy theorist Kerry Cassidy. On that date Cassidy conducted a 1h 18m video interview[2] at the prison in Vacaville. Cassidy regards Richards as an important whistleblower exposing the "Secret Space Program." She has said that he was framed for the Baldwin murder, and that he is imprisoned by the Illuminati-Draco run planetary government.[3][note 1] At the time of writing Cassidy says she has conducted nine interviews with Richards, for an aggregate time over 14 hours. Since recording devices are not allowed in the prison, the normal format of these videos is Cassidy speaking to camera recalling what was said immediately after her meeting with the convict. Her tenth Interview with Richards was released in March, 2019.Much of the material consists of tales of personal heroism, as Richards commands exotic space battleships fighting and defeating aliens. He commanded an Orion battleship at the asteroid Vesta in August 1979. Soon after that, he led an attack against aliens to reclaim a secret base at Dulce, New Mexico. The aliens had violated a treaty and abducted humans for experimentation.[4]Richards claims that he was on active duty at the age of 13, with a high security clearance. After graduating from high school, Richards said he became an Army officer flying helicopters in Vietnam and later became a Navy Captain. He also claims to be a Rhodes Scholar with several advanced degrees and to be a member at the highest levels of the Republican National Committee. Au programme de ce numéro, le groupe TAÏ PHONG, époque Goldman avec leur second album "Windows" paru en 1976. Si j'ai le bonheur de posséder le vinyle original, c'est un extrait ajouté sur une réédition japonaise paru plusieurs années après sur CD (1993) que je vous proposais ici. J'en profite pour saluer le batteur Stéphane Caussarieu qui a de son côté publié deux albums solo et qui écoute parfois cette émission tout en bas, dans la douceur du Sud … La formation sortira à cette période un 3ème album puis silence radio jusqu'aux année 2000 lorsque Stéphane et les frères Maï ont réactivé le projet.   De l'autre côté de la Manche, nouvel extrait de "The Mortal Light" paru en début d'année. 3ème volet du rock-opéra "Alchemy" signé CLIVE NOLAN, progueux britannique émérite par ailleurs à la navigation de Pendragon ou Arena entre autres projets théâtraux.  Après un extrait de l'acte 1 il y a quelques semaines, un aperçu dans ce numéro de l'acte 2. Lumière sur nos nantais de LEO SEEGER qui viennent de publier un nouvel opus et que vous pourrez applaudir si vous êtes de la région puisque pas mal de dates y sont proposées, comme par exemple le 25 de ce mois-ci à "La P'tite Case" de Pornichet, Oudon en mai. Mais n'hésitez pas à visiter leur site pour consulter leur agenda chargé ! Nouvel extrait de l'excellent "Nuts & Bolts" dans ce numéro. Toujours en France mais plus à l'Est, le co-fondateur de Ange, FRANCIS DECAMPS a publié il y a quelques mois deux compilations pour le plus grand bonheur de ses fans les plus récents car sa discographie solo n'est pas des plus aisée à trouver. Deux albums uniquement numériques : "Histoire de Mots" et "Histoire de Notes" et c'est dans ce dernier que j'ai puisé l'extrait proposé dans cette émission, un titre publié à l'origine sur "Vie en Positif" en 1990.  Encore plus à l'Est, la Bavière pour vous offrir non pas une bière mais un extrait de "World Through My Eyes", l'album de RPWL sorti en 2005. Si le groupe à son origine jouait la musique de leur Mentor, un certain Pink Floyd, il a rapidement évolué vers sa propre identité en faisant l'un de fers de lance du rock progressif contemporain. Pour l'anecdote, Ray Wilson, le dernier et malheureux chanteur de Genesis sur un album studio (Calling All Stations) a été invité sur "WTME". Enfin on ne sait jamais, si vous êtes dans le coin, sachez que RPWL est en tournée au mois de mai et en septembre en Allemagne. Je me suis fais surprendre la semaine dernière en voyant apparaître sur ma plateforme préférée un nouveau titre de YES. Je ne l'avais pas vu venir, mais la formation (qui ne compte plus aucun membre des deux premiers albums) s'apprête à publier un nouvel album "Aurora" attendu pour le 12 juin ! Le premier extrait éponyme est dont désormais à disposition de vos oreilles ébahies. Malgré les années qui défilent vous remarquerez que Steve How, le membre le plus ancien du groupe (arrivé sur le 3ème album en 1971) n'a pas encore ses doigts complètement grippés par l'arthrose et que ses solos sont toujours inspirés. Petit regret avec la non réintégration de Jon Anderson …     Pour les intransigeants "pas de Yes sans Jon", vous pouvez quand même vous faire plaisir avec les sorties régulières des anciens albums du groupe remixés par STEVEN WILSON, le dernier en date sorti en ce début d'année étant l'énorme "Tales From Topographic Oceans". D'ailleurs, le créateur de Porcupine Tree est souvent présent dans cette émission à travers les nombreux remixages publiés par les légendes du genre, il a même "habillé" les enchainement des titres de la prochaine compilation de Pink Floyd "8 tracks" à paraître en juin. Mais dans ce numéro, je revenais sur sa dernière œuvre personnelle : "The Overview" fort justement acclamée par la critique et que mon casque connait désormais par cœur !   Malheureusement peu connu en France (sauf bien sur par mon cher public ! ), PAUL LANDRY jouit d'une belle notoriété outre-manche. Je n'irai pas jusqu'à dire que les britanniques ont une meilleure oreille que nous les froggies, mais force est de constater qu'ici les médias "mainstream" ne vont pas chercher beaucoup plus loin que les sorties d'école de la Star' Ac. Heureusement votre radio est là et l'une de raisons pour laquelle votre serviteur s'y sent bien c'est qu'elle propose d'ouvrir ses ondes à tous les artistes, sans s'assurer qu'ils soient "bankables". Seul le talent compte et en voici un bel exemple. Extrait de l'album "Chrysalism" publié il y a quelques mois.  Retour aux sources du rock prog avec un ex-colosseum, fondateur du groupe à son nom : GREENSLADE. Claviériste talentueux, il réuni quelques musiciens et c'est avec la publication en 1974 de "Spyglass Guest" que la formation rencontre un succès significatif. Seul bémol (et les musiciens en ont souvent !), il n'y a pas encore de guitariste au sein du groupe à cette période. Qu'à cela ne tienne,  dans le titre diffusé dans ce numéro deux guitaristes massent nos cages à miel : Clem Clempson, ancien compagnon de jeu chez Colosseum pour la guitare électrique et Andy Roberts à la guitare acoustique jouée de mains de Maître par un habitué de la scène de Canterbury.  Et pour clôturer votre émission, un bon BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST. Après le phénomène "Gone To Earth", le syndrome du vertige habituellement ressenti pour les albums qui succèdent aux chefs d'œuvre a dû imprégner nos amis de Manchester qui ne s'en sont finalement pas mal tirés avec "XII" paru en 1978 et qui, ne l'oublions pas, contient tout de même le fameux "Berlin" ! Mais c'est un autre extrait qui vous était proposé ici, tiré de cet album qui sonne la fin d'une époque pour le rock progressif, BJH devant comme tant d'autres se conformer aux formats plus commerciaux … Fin d'une époque et fin d'AMAROK … jusqu'à la prochaine fois !  Thierry Joigny Chaque jeudi, à 20h

Nel 2006 viene eletto segretario dei Democratici di Sinistra della federazione di Bologna, collaborando alla nascita del Partito Democratico. Dopo essere stato consigliere comunale di Bologna nelle liste del PD, nel 2013 viene eletto alla Camera dei Deputati nella circoscrizione Emilia-Romagna, poi confermato alle elezioni politiche del 2018 e del 2022. Nella XIX legislatura è tesoriere del gruppo parlamentare PD alla Camera.
