Welcome to the inaugural lesson of our series "Lessons From Eden." Over the course of this series, we will delve into topics such as gratitude, faith, obedience, godly relationships, god-centered households, our free will, and God's favor. We kick off the series by examining God's power and authority to prayerfully assist in establishing or renewing the spirit of gratitude and magnifying godly obedience. God's power and authority are two crucial elements that we often underestimate, overlook, neglect, or disregard when discussing or contemplating the vastness of God's nature. We often confine God within the narrow boundaries of human comprehension, limiting His vastness according to our own understanding. As our minds struggle to comprehend the full spectrum of God's power and authority, we tend to miss out on the invaluable opportunity to establish an intimate and close relationship with Him, which can be detrimental to our lives and our god-ordained purpose. God is undeniably our refuge. He is our safe place, our shelter from the storms of life, danger, and deception. Psalm 91:4 tells us He will cover you with his pinions; under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.CLOSING SONG; "The Maker" by Chris August www.BibleDeliverance.org

Destiny brought Sara and Chris together while working for Peace Corps in Tanzania, Africa. Until that moment they both went through the trials and tribulations of life, had their core values shaken, the belief in themselves weakened, but deep down they knew that they can overcome such obstacles. We can say it was love at first sight, and that love, five years later, transcended their fears of what each of them could bring to a stable and long-lasting relationship. Together, in 2018, they created Soul In Wonder, a multidimensional hub for truth-seekers on their journey of self-discovery. Through their nationally-recognized podcast, videos, self-empowerment coaching, and transformational mind/body healing work, they help people transmute their darkness into light and connect with their most authentic selves so they can align with their highest vision and potential.www.SoulinWonder.com

More Than a Song - Discovering the Truth of Scripture Hidden in Today's Popular Christian Music
God is creative. He never tires of finding new ways of speaking to you. This is made so clear through Chris August's song, "The Maker." As we use this song to step into God's Word, may we simultaneously step outside. May we stop, look and listen to the Creator revealing His eternal power and divine nature through His creation. We can develop a deeper understanding of the Maker by developing our ability to appreciate the masterpiece of creation that the Maker has blessed us with. On this episode I discuss: We can see God's invisible qualities through everything God has made - Romans 1:20 The Maker LOVES YOU! Seeing the familiar in a fresh light Learning to appreciate the Artist through His masterpieces Being open to new ways that God wants to speak to you The Maker has given all of heaven and earth to us to enjoy its beauty - Psalm 115 Rejecting God and trading God's truth for a lie leads to worshiping created things rather than the Creator - Romans 1:18-25 No aspect of creation will ever compare to the expression of love God gave us through the gift of His Son Story behind the song - an interview with Chris August by Kevin Davis with NewReleaseTuesday.com The first step of stepping out in faith should be to the Word of God Additional Resources Lyrics Story behind the song by Christ August This Week's Challenge Stop, look and listen to God's creation -- He gave it to us to enjoy its beauty, but wants our response to be worship and trust...not in what has been made, but in the Maker. Read Psalm 115 and then read Romans chapter 1 and then read them again. Ask God to speak to you through His Word this week. Then go outside and take a picture of where you see your Maker this week. I don't care when you're listening to this podcast. Join me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Post pictures of where you saw your Maker today and tag them with #themaker and #morethanasong so we can all come together as a body across this earth that God has blessed us with and experience His voice through His creation!

Both Chuck and Bob were unavailable for today’s episode, so Corey calls an ‘audible’ and digs deep into the YAK-archives for a look back at some show highlights. You’ll hear the origin story of Corey and Chuck’s friendship, the Yak’s first guest Coach Lightfoot, (no – the other one), artist Chris August, Corey’s infatuation with lists, (mascots, songs, Bears), and if you stick around to the very end….a newly found, unearthed recording of Corey’s attempt at a ‘punk rock’ album from 1990. To quote his friend who unearthed this cassette, “We were extremely 20 years old.”
Singer/Songwriter Chris August started tickling the keys of a piano at 15, and from there he learned his craft not only on instruments but in production as well. A short lived label deal with Geffen Records, a short lived stay in California, then his first single in CCM world goes #1. Today, he’s an independent artist with a no-rules, no holds barred, new album called “Seasons”.
