Born and raised in Rahway, New Jersey, Pisapia migrated to Nashville in the mid-1990s with his brother, the drummer Marc Pisapia, as the namesake members of Joe, Marc's Brother. Following its Rick Clark- produced self-titled debut, the band quickly became progenitors of a burgeoning indie pop and rock scene that included artists such as Josh Rouse, David Mead and Lambchop. In 2000, the release of the Robin Eaton, Roger Moutenot and Brad Jones-produced Around the Year with Joe, Marc's Brother cemented the band's reputation as masters of the pop-rock genre. While Joe, Marc's Brother as a unit now performs infrequently, Pisapia continues to record and perform as a solo artist. As a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work as a member of Guster and k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang. Dutch DJ duo Vicetone have unveiled their highly anticipated EP “Elements”, which includes recent singles ‘Fences' (feat. Matt Wertz) and ‘Something Strange' with Haley Reinhart. Released on February 22nd via Monstercat, “Elements” features two unreleased tracks: ‘Home' and ‘Feels Like' (feat. LAUR). With ‘Elements' serving as the follow up to 2016's Aurora, the EP features more live instruments than ever before, and illustrates sonic depth from the progressive house duo. Victor adds: “This is the first thing we've done where we're playing guitar, and it lets us get so many sounds we'd never be able to get through sampling.” Previously amassing over 42 million Spotify streams on hits like ‘Nevada', the pair manage to retain their own brand of emotionally-charged dance music while adding a fresh 2019 twist. Growing up in the Dutch city of Groningen, Ruben and Victor began exploring their passion for dance music back in high school, when the two longtime friends would spend hours making mixes of mutually beloved producers like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and Eric Prydz. Since their debut with ‘Harmony' (a 2012 release on Monstercat), Vicetone began landing gigs around Europe, and soon took on a relentless world tour schedule.

To date, they've brought their high-energy, infinitely exhilarating live show to massive festivals across the globe, including Ultra Miami and Ultra Croatia. In addition, they've graced the stage at iconic venues like Hanoi Opera House, and performed throughout China, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea. ------------------ Tracklist: 1. Open to new experiences, Sevens are self-confident, optimistic and joyful people who exude loads of energy. They bring a sense of adventure and energy to their relationships and generally try to avoid negative feelings. But that doesn’t mean that Sevens aren’t emotionally articulate. In fact, as part of the Head Triad, Sevens are very intelligent about a variety of subjects, including emotions.  It’s just that it’s not the first thing they want to talk about. In today’s episode, Enneagram 7, Dave Barnes joins us to discuss how integrating the Enneagram into his spiritual development has helped him slow down his internal processor and taught him to keep tabs on whether or not he is staying present in the moment. About Dave Barnes: Dave Barnes is a respected Nashville artist and songwriter who received GRAMMY and CMA nominations for Blake Shelton's recording of his hit song "God Gave Me You." Barnes has also penned songs for Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett & Maren Morris, Reba McEntire, Marc Broussard, Billy Currington, Hunter Hayes, Matt Wertz, Ben Rector, among many others. Touring extensively over the past 15 years as a headlining artist, he has also opened for Bonnie Raitt, Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Lady Antebellum, Hanson, and One Republic, to name a few. Dave Barnes has recorded three EP’s and ten full-length albums, including his newest project, the LP Who Knew It Would Be So Hard To Be Myself, releasing February 9, 2018. He is also well known for his brand of humor, having sold out several stand-up comedy shows throughout the Southeast. Many of his comedic videos are posted to his YouTube video series.

They also take a look at the differences of approach to music in Nashville and Los Angeles. How often do we get caught up in the end result or have a certain motive behind a project? We set some type of expectation upon it that can leave us disappointed. Whether it’s a book deal, a future speaking gig, or even just a certain amount of likes on Instagram. As artists and storytellers we can struggle to stay present in the journey of our art, but isn’t that where the magic happens? A self-made singer-songwriter, Matt has spent years creating soulful, feel-good pop music on his own terms. He has toured the country with songwriters like Jason Mraz, Maroon 5, Parachute and Gavin DeGraw. More than a decade into a career filled with commercial success and touring milestones, Matt remains proud to be an independent singer-songwriter. And there's a lot that we can learn from him when it comes to being vulnerable with our art, how to approach the editing process, and finding our identity beyond our project. Brandon and Jason revisit The Big Yellow Dog office on Music Row to have a conversation with Daniel Tashian. Daniel is a singer, songwriter, artist, and producer based out of Nashville. It’s astounding to find out Daniel’s navigation through the music industry as a writer, and what’s even more shocking was his age of getting shopped around for a publishing deal. But Daniel is no newb in the music industry. Daniel’s father was in the infamous band The Remains. The guides and Daniel take a trip through Daniel’s childhood to figure out how he himself was influenced by his family and the musicians that were around his childhood. Fast forward to the present, Daniel has cuts with artists like Chris Lane, Charles Kelly, Lee Ann Womack, Matt Wertz, Eli Young Band, Logan Mize, Amy Stroup, Billy Currington, and Martina McBride. Josh Turners newest single, “Hometown Girl” was co-written by our survival expert. Not to mention his film and TV placements with shows like Breaking Bad, Private Practice, and Heart of Dixie to name a few. He recently even produced Trent Dabbs’ newest record, The Optimist. In this episode the guides tackle his experience with getting a publishing deal and the twists and turns of navigating what’s hot at that moment, how he approaches writing a song, and even how to write music to pitch. You also get a glimpse in what’s going on with the Silver Seas, Daniel’s project, and what is to come. Remember, that Tashian…Sounds Like Passion. Thanks as always to Fat Bottom Brewing. No babies were harmed by dingos in this episode, but your guides did sit down with Australian born, Nashville resident Jared Kneale. Brandon and Jason first get a cultural lesson from Jared. Touring in Australia is way different than here in the states, and even the opportunities look a little bit different. While in his native homeland, Jared has played with "Austrialian Idols," Hillsong, and the Afro-Cuban rock band Watussi. After getting connected with some players living in Nashville, Jared booked his flight to the states only bringing some clothes and his drums. Armed with confidence and using his cajón as his business card at writers rounds he quickly started working with Rebecca St. James and Audio Adrenalin, Mikky Ekko, Dave Barnes, Matt Wertz, Sugar & the Hi-Lows, Gabe Dixon, Amy Stroup, Trent Dabbs, Jessie Baylin, Isaac Hayden, Rick Price, Jason Eskridge, amongst various other local singer/songwriters. Then they dive in on landing the gig with Grammy Award-winning artist Kacey Musgraves. "How Murica," is Jared? He passes the guides' test, then they look at what life looks like after a great gig. Jared's life today is playing and producing records, and playing gigs that keep his schedule open for session work. This episode is for drummers, touring players, session guys, and immigrants in a music city wondering what it takes to make it as a Nashville player hustling for work as a BLOOMIN' DRUMMER!
