The band have also previously toured with numerous acts including playing main support to Canadian speed metal legends Annihilator as well as Gama Bomb, Our Hollow, Our Home, Lotus Eater, Bonded By Blood, Susperia, Breed 77, Man Must Die, Evile, and The Rotted. They've also shared stages with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, The Faceless, Anthrax, Sepultura, Chimaira, Skindred, Meshuggah, Bleed From Within, While She Sleeps, Dark Tranquillity, Asking Alexandria, and Sylosis. They have appeared at a variety of prestigious festivals including Download Festival, Bloodstock, Metal Heads Mission, Wurzburg Metal Fest, and Metal Invasion to name but a few. After a brief hiatus starting in 2020, Sworn Amongst returned to form with its strongest line-up to date, releasing the much-anticipated single ‘Restitution'. This release saw the return of founding members Jonny Harper and Liam Liddell, who alongside guitarist Ashley Currie and bassist Kieran Agnew. have succeeded in returning the band to its rightful place as a force to be reckoned with in terms of the band's earth-shattering metalcore anthems, and their fiercely precise, electrifying live shows. On January 22nd, 2024, they released their latest single ‘Tyrant'. A track offered as a tribute to all people affected by modern-day genocide. The track serving as a statement of support and hope for the Ukrainian people and recognising their strength and unity as a nation. We spoke to guitarist Ash Curry about Tyrant and the importance it has to the band, as well as discussing the bigger Sworn Amongst picture, how they got to this point and where they might be heading next, having fun making music now, and so much more. Michael Elsner is a guitarist/songwriter/producer with over 2500 TV and Film placements to his name. His songs have been placed in over 180 individual television series, accounting for over 850 individual episodes. Some of these include American Idol, The Voice, Good Morning America, Impractical Jokers, EXTRA, The Sing-Off, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Tracks he's written have been used in international commercials for Audi, Mazda, Skechers and Verizon, as well as trailers for Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Maleficent 2, Disney's Cinderella, Ocean's 8, Susperia, Narcos, Sneaky Pete, as well as a Super Bowl Ad for Amazon Prime's Jack Ryan series. What You'll Learn In this episode, Michael shared his secret on how independent musicians worldwide can connect with the taste-makers in the sync licensing industry, and generate sync placements on a consistent basis with a hefty sync fee. He also wrapped up his idea of success with personal freedom, creative freedom, and financial freedom. He also had this philosophy of “starting at the top” which was definitely one of the reasons why he had many opportunities in a very short amount of time. Things We Discussed “The 4 Step Plan to Licensing Success” - free ebook Metadata - basically the descriptive words that have to be added to the audio file so that someone can search through catalogs of hundreds of thousands of songs for the ideal fit. Now, ideally, you want your metadata to be thorough so that you end up in the final ten or twelve songs in that search, and then of course, your song is going to be auditioned. If it's a good fit, then it goes to the next step where it actually has to get licensed. This week, our listeners are invited to come and dance with us and Mother Suspiriorum, as we discuss Luna's favourite witchy horror, Susperia (2018).
This week Karina and Lili watch a new favorite, SUSPERIA (2018). Tune in to find out if it passes the Bechdel Test and, more importantly, if it gets a good enough Rotten Peaches Score to be entered in the Peaches Hall of Fame. Spoiler Alert: IT DOES! (This episode contains spoilers)

Guest Austin of BanexBramble joins us this week to talk about plant spirits, earth based ritual, and dance as centered roles of his magic practice. In our exploration we touch on my favorite definition of witchcraft, that of Queer Liberation. How can witchcraft be used as an embodied experience to bridge the gap between being Othered and Free? How can we explore the lines of madness in order to embody the other more fully? In what ways do song and dance allow us to more deeply connect with spirit? All these questions are explored, and we even found some time to talk about magic ritual and othering in the classic horror film Susperia. So join us as we move about the chthonic and wild spaces of the Other lands, and how they can be explored to liberate and exalt both the self and all lands here and in between. To find more on Austin, check out his Instagram and Twitter @banexbramble. Greta is an anagram for great, which this film is not. In this episode of Horror Movie Talk, we discuss this new thriller out in theaters starring Isabelle Huppert and Chloë Grace Moretz. Later on we do a round of Taglines and cover the most recent horror movie news. Skip to Intro - 0:43Skip to Trailer - 4:43Skip to Synopsis - 7:15Skip to Review - 9:15Skip to Score - 11:38Skip to Spoilers/Discussion - 15:34Skip to Final Recommendations - 40:19Skip to Taglines - 42:18Skip to Horror Movie News - 47:27Skip to Outro - 55:40 Greta Movie Synopsis Greta is one of those films that gives you pretty much everything in the trailer. You can pretty much figure out everything that happens in the movie by rearranging the sequence of the shots in the trailer to the most logical sequence of events. https://youtu.be/WAEoJkL_8zU Greta is directed by Neil Jordan and tell the story of Frances McCullen (Chloë Grace Moretz), a young woman that comes across a lost purse on the subway and being a good Samaritan, she returns it to its owner Greta Hildeg (Isabelle Huppert). The two strike a quick surrogate mother/daughter friendship and start spending time with one another. Frances soon discovers that the purse was really a ploy that Greta has used many times before to lure in young women into her orbit. She gets progressively creeped out and discovers Greta’s evil secrets too late to save herself. Want To Watch It?Click the button to watch Greta on AmazonWatch Greta Review of Greta (2019) Greta is an ok film with good acting, but heavily contrived danger. If you can get scared by middle aged, slight, 5’3” women, this movie will terrify you. If you, like me, realize pretty much anyone short of a child could immediately overpower her, it loses some of it’s edge. The real power of this movie is when it focuses on the creep factor of having a stalker that progressively gets more threatening as she is pushed away. This isn’t a horror movie, but it does have some ok gore and some genuine darkness in the third act. It was entertaining enough, but never really grabbed me. Score for Greta 4/10 GretaAdd the Greta Blu-Ray to your collectionBuy on Amazon Spoilers Expand for spoilers As stated before, there aren't a lot of spoilers to be had with this movie. The only mystery left is "what does Greta do with the girls?" and "why does Greta do this?" Both questions have unsatisfying answers. She imprisons them in a hidden room (or a box for punishment) until a replacement comes along and she kills themBecause she's crazy The official tagline for this movie is "Who is Greta?" So I guess that is supposed to be an interesting spoiler as well. The answer is she is a Hungarian woman posing as a sophisticated French woman. Because reasons. Check Out Our Review of Susperia 2018! https://www.horrormovietalk.com/2018/11/07/suspiria-2018-review/ Of note, this is the second Hungarian villain in the last month of episodes. The Prodigy also featured a Hungarian serial killer. The main draw back of this movie is that the character of Frances is smart enough to immediately recognize danger when she discover's Greta's multiple purses, but to dumb to know when to break a window to escape. Final Recommendations for Greta This would be a decent date movie, but you might want to wait till it's on Netflix. Episode four of Blood on the Tracks takes a trip overseas to explore the land of Gialli, cannibals, Mario Bava, and Hollywood rip-offs. That's right, it's the vast landscape of Italian horror cinema. Lee found himself down another rabbit hole this month, making some difficult decisions on what did and did not manage to make the cut for the show. Put on some black gloves and a trenchcoat, badly dub your voice, and try not to impale your eyeballs on sharp objects. In Episode 2, we mourn the loss of Gene Wilder, who recently passed away at age 83, by discussing our favorite comedy movies and the TV shows and films that shaped our sense of humor, along with others we just enjoyed and would recommend. Before we get into comedy, we start by talking about the Misfits reunion, a documentary about extras in the original “Star Wars” movie called “Elstree 1976,” “Blood Punch,” “Pokémon,” remaking “Susperia,” and the upcoming “Phantasm” sequel. We cover a lot of comedic ground throughout the show, starting with Gene Wilder and moving into Monty Python, Kids in the Hall, “The Simpsons,” “Ghostbusters,” “Count Duckula,” “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” Kevin Smith’s movies, “Troll 2,” “Dead Alive,” “Trainwreck” and other Judd Apatow movies, “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil,” Weird Al’s “UHF,” “Microwave Massacre,” “Pee Wee’s Big Holiday” on Netflix, and more! Cult Personalities is a brand new podcast dedicated to all the geeky, underrated, unusual, and offbeat movies, music, TV shows, books, comics, collectibles, beer, and more that we’re passionate about – basically anything that may have a cult following that influenced and shaped us into the irreverent weirdos that we are today. Hosted by beer writer and blogger Derek Warren, former co-host of the Beer Geeks Radio Hour, and Rich Howells, founder and editor of NEPA Scene and co-host of the NEPA Scene Podcast, this weekly show is our way to geek out and share our passions with fellow nerds and nerf herders, discussing big franchises and obscure gems while sharing our honest opinions and personal stories in a fun and relatable way.
"Cold Fire" rewrite. The time has come again when Char and Tristan pick an episode of Voyager and give it a little TLC. This time, it's Season Two's "Cold Fire," where Voyager encounters the Caretaker's mate, Susperia, and a group of Ocampans who have embraced and honed their telekinetic abilities. Let us not forget the bonus of Kes accidentally boiling Tuvok. Listen on and find out what Char and Tristan would have kept in, removed, and how they would have transformed "Cold Fire" into a less contrived story and a more compelling hour of television. In this episode Andrew and Jeronimo discuss three short stories and three movies. James was ill disposed, out on a death defying adventure. Andrew sits back and lets Jeronimo delve deep into his overly critical rant on Inglorious Basterds, a fine movie you should all check out if you haven’t already. Luckily Jeronimo isn’t around to counter that statement. I don’t have time to send these show notes his way for any sort of team consensus. - Andrew Short Stories: 1. Topless Vampire Bitches of the SS (in Pulp Ink 2) – Christopher Black 2. The Brown Bomber and the Nazi Werewolves of the SS (in Curse of the Full Moon) – Matt Vene 3. BPRD 1946 – Mike Mignola and Movies: 1. Dead Snow 2. Iron Sky 3. Inglorious Basterds Follow Andrew Crevier on Instagram for up to the minute (day?) pics from the land of the rising sun. He’s staying with old people. They don’t have interwebs. Uploads will be made from a basement at Kamiooka station, Starbucks in Totsuka, Odaiba, and various locals in Tokyo. A Susperia themed bar and another horror themed bar are to be hit up as well as a retro arcade in Odaiba, Hanayashikii urban theme park, Takoyaki museum, and etc.
