Proof that Fauci funded lab research that sparked COVID; Canadian Parliament passes anti-Bible bill; James Talarico: God is non-binary; Jesus does not call us to worship Him

It's Monday, June 22nd, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Canadian Parliament passes anti-Bible bill Sadly, Canada's Parliament passed the anti-Bible bill. LifeSiteNews.com reports that a final attempt to stop Bill C-9 was defeated. The bill, which threatens to criminalize quoting parts of the Bible, including on homosexuality, will soon become law. On Wednesday, June 17, a majority of Members of Parliament voted down an attempt by conservative Andrew Lawton to stop Bill C-9 “once and for all.” In an X post, he wrote, that the liberals “voted down my motion to withdraw the divisive and toxic Bill C-9 to stand up for freedom of expression and freedom of religion.”  Another conservative Member of Parliament, Brad Redekopp, called the official passage of Bill C-9 a “dark day” for Canada and religious freedom. The bill was introduced by Justice Minister Sean Fraser last year. Specifically, Bill C-9 would remove Section 319(3)(b) of Canada's Criminal Code.  That's the section which protects the good-faith expression of a person's religious views based on religious texts such as the Holy Bible. Galatians 6:7 declares, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.” Proof that Fauci funded lab research that sparked COVID A trove of communications and documents released by outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard show that Dr. Anthony Fauci “provided millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research” on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and that Fauci “lied to Congress,” reports LifeSiteNews.com. In a viral overnight social media video on June 19th already seen by millions, Gabbard made this announcement. GABBARD: “Before the COVID pandemic, Dr. Fauci, as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, provided millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, work which is now widely viewed as the source of the unintentional lab leak that sparked the pandemic. “Now, in support of President Trump's maximum transparency mandate, today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I'm releasing never-before-seen communications and documents that expose exactly how Fauci worked with politicized career leadership in the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions, the virus's lab leak origins, and his role in directing U.S. funding for this dangerous research that caused immeasurable harm and countless lost lives. “Now, these documents expose Fauci's direct role in influencing and manipulating [Intelligence Community] assessments on COVID 19, and how Fauci lied to Congress in 2024 when, under oath, he denied knowledge of or participation in discussions with intelligence officials about viral research.” Dr. Fauci's close Intelligence Community relationships enabled him to “assume three key roles during the pandemic that shielded him from scrutiny as he wielded outsized influence.” First, Fauci funded risky coronavirus research linked to Big Pharma and the pursuit of “universal vaccines” worth trillions of dollars. Second, Fauci was the behind-the-scenes advisor who, with his hand-picked experts, pushed the Intelligence Community to endorse a natural, animal origin to hide his dangerous research. And third, Fauci became the nation's pandemic “pundit” and publicly pushed lies, disinformation, and censorship. GOP Senator: Trump's peace deal with Iran seemed elusive Appearing on Fox News Channel on June 17th, Republican Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, expressed his approval of the deal that President Donald Trump negotiated with Iran, reports RealClearPolitics.com. SCHMITT:  “The president of the United States, President Trump, was very clear from the get-go what the mission here was, which was to ensure that Iran would never have a nuclear weapon. They have no ability to do that. And they're signing on the dotted line now, Sean, for the first time, that they're not going to do that. “And we don't need to trust them. We just need to verify that. Effectively, the president knocked out their military capability. Their Navy is at the bottom of the sea. They have no air defense. Their nuclear program is in shambles. It's nowhere near ever being started up again. And we can always go back and mow the lawn, if necessary, because we've got eyes on it. “The president has provided now, through all of that action, space for diplomacy. That has always been his North Star. There's always more things to do. We need to make sure, obviously, we're verifying all of this. But the president has pulled off something here that most experts, six months ago, wouldn't have thought was possible. And I think it's good for the American people.” FBI foiled terrorist plot against UFC 250 event at White House A terror plot targeting the Ultimate Fighting Championship event at the White House on June 14th reportedly involved those who were ready to deploy snipers and drones armed with explosives to carry out a mass casualty attack against U.S. government officials. In a June 16th statement, FBI Director Kash Patel said his agency and its law enforcement partners became aware of the potential threat on June 10. He confirmed that authorities stopped the alleged plot before it began. Patel said, "Thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold. “We are built to detect, respond to, and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens — particularly during large gatherings like the historic UFC 250 fight" which drew 85,000 people to the Ellipse. James Talarico: God is non-binary; Jesus does not call us to worship Him And finally, James Talarico, the Texas Democrat candidate in the U.S. Senate race against Republican Ken Paxton, has made some bizarre claims about God and Jesus. Listen. TALARICO:  “God is both masculine and feminine, and everything in between. God is non-binary.” And here's what Talarico said about Jesus. TALARICO: “Not once in the entire Bible does Jesus ask us to worship Him. All He asks is that we follow Him.” Pastor Josh Howerton, Senior Pastor of Lakepointe Church in Dallas, Texas, called James Talarico a heretic. HOWERTON: “The whole last book of the Bible is the Lamb is seated on the throne with more people than anybody can count bowing down and worshiping Him, throwing crowns before Him. And then anybody who won't do that, He's throwing them into the lake of fire. “This is not me being mean or exaggerating: he's an actual heretic, like a biblically-defined false teacher and heretic. “Politicians, since the beginning of time, have been twisting Scripture, using Scripture to try to convince people to do what they want. This is the first guy I've ever seen whose whole platform is using the Bible to convince Christians to support godless things.” Revelation 5:13 says, “Then I heard every creature in Heaven and on Earth and under the Earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, June 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2026. Send us Fan MailEpisode 455 – BOB DOLE: The Life That Brought Him There, Part 36The Bush Years (A): The Tower Nomination (1) – Who Is John Tower? With the election of President George H. W. Bush in 1988, a new Republican administration arrived in Washington, but one of its first major battles would become one of the most controversial cabinet confirmation fights in modern American history. Before we can understand the nomination battle itself, we must first understand the man at its center: former Texas Senator John Tower. In this episode, we examine Tower's remarkable rise from a young Texas history professor to the first Republican elected to the United States Senate from Texas since Reconstruction. We follow his twenty-four-year Senate career, his emergence as one of the Republican Party's leading voices on national defense, and his tenure as Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, where he became one of the nation's foremost authorities on military affairs. We also explore Tower's relationship with fellow Republican leaders, including Senator Bob Dole, President Ronald Reagan, and Vice President-turned-President George H. W. Bush. Along the way, we examine his role in Cold War defense policy, arms control negotiations, and the Iran-Contra investigation that further elevated his national profile.By January 1989, Tower appeared to be the obvious choice to become Secretary of Defense. Few Americans possessed his depth of experience in military affairs, and his confirmation seemed almost certain. Yet within weeks, allegations concerning his personal conduct, drinking, and ties to defense contractors would ignite a political firestorm that would divide the Senate and place longtime allies like Bob Dole in a difficult position. This is the story of the man before the battle—a look at the life and career that brought John Tower to the center of one of the most dramatic confirmation fights in Senate history. The preparedness of Western armed forces for conflict is something that has featured prominently in many defence reviews. Christian Brose, Anduril's President & Chief Strategy Officer, describes how governments can build effective relationships with innovative, disruptive small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the defence industrial ecosystem, and how they can develop new strategies for achieving greater military capability to meet preparedness requirements. It is clear there is no one-size-fits-all approach; Christian argues that today, government and the defence industry need to follow traditional approaches where that makes sense, and more modern, adaptive approaches for equipment that is designed to be scaled and mass produced without imposing huge investment and talent costs on suppliers. Christian is the President and Chief Strategy Officer at Anduril Industries, prior to which he was Staff Director of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Compounding the tension is the weaponization of the Strait of Hormuz in recent weeks; a small channel of water connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and open seas. Unfettered access through the Strait of Hormuz for all merchant ships and vessels is and should be the norm, but Iran has decided that it alone can and must control this international waterway. By doing so, they choke the movement of oil and natural gas supplies, threatening and constraining economic activity everywhere. And America says: “No.” You cannot do this. Not on our watch. As with all things geopolitical - especially in the Middle East - it's complicated. To help us understand the issues I speak at length in this podcast with (Retired) U.S. Admiral Mark Montgomery, a man who has served extensively at the highest level in the Middle East and around the world. Navy CTO Justin Fanelli on rewriting the rules of defense acquisition

The Department of Defense and the unifromed military services are undertaking a massive acquisition overhaul prioritizing speed and rapid innovation. One of the services leading the way on that journey is the Department of the Navy. Last month at DefenseTalks, CTO Justin Fanelli delivered a dynamic keynote sharing how the sea service is going about its technology-enabling acquisition transformation. Kirsten Davies has been formally sworn in as chief information officer at the Defense Department where she'll oversee a “broad portfolio” of important programs, the Pentagon announced. Davies took the reins shortly before the Christmas holiday, according to officials, less than a week after she was confirmed by the Senate. “She brings to the Department two decades of transforming organizations for the digital age, building cyber defenses, tackling tech debt, and innovating at scale,” officials wrote in a post on the Office of the CIO's LinkedIn page, noting her private sector experience working in top leadership roles for major companies such as Unilever, Estee Lauder Companies, Barclays (Africa Group), Hewlett Packard Enterprises, and Siemens AG. Her extensive IT and cybersecurity background was previously touted by experts who wrote a letter to the Senate Armed Services Committee in support of her nomination for Pentagon CIO. In social media posts, DOD officials noted that Davies will be serving under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth while leading digital modernization efforts and “overseeing for him the information enterprise, cybersecurity, technology innovation, and a broad portfolio of national security programs.” Davies took the helm from Katie Arrington, who has launched and shepherded major initiatives while performing the duties of DOD CIO in a non-Senate-confirmed capacity. The Federal Aviation Administration is taking another step toward its goal of modernizing systems and processes by picking two partners to help replace more than 600 radars. The agency said Virginia-based RTX and Spanish firm Indra Sistemas will come onboard the FAA's air traffic control overhaul, marked by high stakes, tight timelines and billions of dollars in funding. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said in the Monday announcement.“Most of our radars date back to the 1980s. It's unacceptable.” The radar replacement will kick off this quarter, with a finish line of June 2028 as the goal. The contracts will be paid for by the initial funds allocated in the One Big Beautiful Bill, which earmarked $12.5 billion for the air traffic control modernization project. The radar overhaul is much needed and critical to ensuring safety and efficiency, according to DOT officials. FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford said in a statement. “Many of the units have exceeded their intended service life, making them increasingly expensive to maintain and difficult to support. We are buying radar systems that will bring production back to the U.S. and provide a vital surveillance backbone to the National Airspace System.” Also in this episode, Salesforce EVP Paul Tatum joins SNG host Wyatt Kash in a sponsored podcast discussion on how Agentic AI is accelerating decision-making and enhancing readiness across the defense and intelligence communities. He joins Mary and Andrew to lend his unique expertise to what the Washington Post reported as a “kill them all” order from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. A key technology leader at the Department of Veterans Affairs told lawmakers Monday that the agency intends to “capitalize” on artificial intelligence to help overcome its persistent difficulties in providing timely care and maintaining cost-effective operations. At the same time, a federal watchdog warned the same lawmakers that the VA could face challenges before the agency can effectively do so. Lawmakers on the House VA subcommittee on technology modernization pressed Charles Worthington, the VA's chief data officer and chief technology officer, over the agency's plans to deploy AI across its dozens of facilities as the federal government increasingly turns to automation technology. Worthington told the subcommittee that all VA employees now have access to a secure, generative AI tool to assist them with their work, claiming that it's saving them over two hours per week. He also outlined how the agency is utilizing machine learning in agency workflows, as well as in clinical care for earlier disease detection and ambient listening tools that are expected to be rolled out at some facilities later this year. The technology can also be used to identify veterans who may be at high risk of overdose and suicide, Worthington added. A slew of cybersecurity experts from industry and other organizations sent a letter to lawmakers Monday urging them to move swiftly to confirm Kirsten Davies as Department of Defense chief information officer. The letter, addressed to members of the Senate Armed Services Committee and viewed by DefenseScoop, includes more than 100 signatories. President Donald Trump nominated Davies for the role back in May, but the SASC waited until this week to hold her confirmation hearing, which is scheduled for Thursday. The cybersecurity experts who penned the new letter expressed their “strongest support” for the nominee. In the letter they wrote: “Ms. Davies is a leader we know personally and professionally. As with commodities, warfare is also going through rapid and profound change, with the electrification of defense over the last 20 year. Batteries proliferate the battlefield and the energy transition is impacting national security. We are seeing the shift from capital assets to small, cheap weapons such as drones that can have profound impacts. This poses a particular problem for the US, where energy dominance has been based in hydrocarbons along with their warfare fighting capabilities. Now in an electrified battlefront, supply chains that support them sit in China, threatening the West's defence capabilities. Our guest is Joe Bryan, principal at Muswell Orange, a boutique consulting firm, focused on energy and particularly its intersection with national security. Before his return to the private sector, Joe was a senior advisor to the Secretary of Defense and was the Department sector, of Defense Chief Sustainability Officer. In a 2012 opinion piece bemoaning the state of the US Senate, Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank cited a “leading theory: There are no giants in the chamber today.” Among the respected members who once walked the Senate floor, admired for their expertise and with a stature that went beyond party, Milbank counted Sam Nunn (D-GA). Nunn served in the Senate for four terms beginning in 1972, at a moment when domestic politics and foreign policy were undergoing far-reaching changes. As a member and then chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, he had a vital impact on most of the crucial national security and defense issues of the Cold War era and the “new world order” that followed—issues that included the revitalization of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's military capability, US-Soviet relations, national defense reorganization and reform, the Persian Gulf conflict, and nuclear arms control. In this first full account of Nunn's senatorial career, Frank Leith Jones reveals how, as a congressional leader and “shadow secretary of defense,” Nunn helped win the Cold War, constructing the foundation for the defense and foreign policies of the 1970s and 1980s that secured the United States and its allies from the Soviet threat. At a time of bitter political polarization and partisanship, Nunn's reputation remains that of a statesman with a record of bipartisanship and a dedication to US national interests above all. His career, as recounted in Sam Nunn: Statesman of the Nuclear Age (University Press of Kansas, 2020), provides both a valuable lesson in the relationships among the US government, foreign powers, and societies and a welcome reminder of the capacity of Congress, even a lone senator, to promote and enact policies that can make the country, and the world, a better and safer place. Frank Leith Jones is professor of security studies and the General C. Marshall Chair of Military Studies in the Department of National Security and Strategy at the US Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. His published work includes Blowtorch: Robert Komer, Vietnam, and American Cold War Strategy. Arya Hariharan is a lawyer in politics. We've got a jam-packed show today starting with the headlines rocking Hollywood. Tyler Perry has been accused and sued for sexual harassment and assault. Joining us to break it all down is TMZ's own Charles Latibeaudiere, with the latest on what's been confirmed, what's being alleged, and where things may go next. Then we pivot to the brewing civil war inside MAGA world. Turns out not all of Trump's loyalists are on board with his Iran stance. Are we witnessing a real split or just another attention grab? And finally, Pete Hegseth's Senate Armed Services Committee hearing was not the flex he thought it would be. Lawmakers roasted him over his lack of qualifications, and honestly, we're surprised he even showed up. Snark. Receipts. Chaos. Let's get into it. This episode is brought to you by MSI United States. Civilian supremacy over the military remains inviolate in our history and constitution. But what happens when a civilian Commander in Chief, such as Pres. Washington or Pres. Trump, legally deploy the U.S. military or federalized National Guard on American soil? This story is as old as our democracy. One could even argue that the use of militia to crush rebellion in America was a major contributing factor in the founding of the United States. In this interview, we discuss the history and evolution of the civil-military relations in the United States and draw comparisons to and lessons from other countries.

This week, the Geeks wade into a swamp of tech meltdowns, governmental facepalms, and the usual Elon-flavored absurdity. Kicking things off, protesters take their beef with Tesla to the streets while Proud Boys decide this is the hill to vroom and die on. Meanwhile, Elon's privacy prayers have finally been answered—thanks to new FAA rules, he and Tay-Tay can jet around untracked like it's 1999. Oh, and while Earth dodges a killer asteroid, the Moon might be signing up for an unplanned smackdown. Sorry, Luna.In the news, Signal's reputation as the go-to encrypted app takes a nosedive thanks to Republican Senate drama and an Inspector General with receipts. The NSA warned us. Nobody listened. Now it's “SignalGate” season. Elon continues his narcissist Voltron strategy by having xAI buy X (from Elon). Trump, meanwhile, is moonwalking into a $2.3B Truth Social payday, while his meme coin tanks post-tariff tantrum. OpenAI flexes with new AGI funding and 700M AI-generated images (probably 699M of them cursed), while the first therapy chatbot actually helps someone and a brain-voice interface starts sounding a lot like Skynet: The Prequel. Oh, and in shocking news: Trump's war on “information silos” is code for “your personal data is about to be someone else's business.”Media Candy serves up a grab bag from punk docs (Turn It Around) to jungle pulp throwbacks (Tales of the Gold Monkey), and yes—Stephen Collins is still problematic. Apple's prepping new AI-powered health apps, emoji drops, and a food tab for News+, because why not. WhatsApp now wants to be your phone, Alexa+ disappoints, and Zuckerberg tries to make Facebook usable again with a “Friends-only” feed. Meanwhile, Bill Gates pulls a nostalgia flex by dropping OG Microsoft source code like it's a rare vinyl. In other dark corners: Kermit the Frog is now giving commencement speeches, Val Kilmer sadly exits stage left, and Elon fails in his bid to buy a state supreme court. Hands off, Elon.
