(22:50-37:10) – ESPN's Courtney Cronin joins Jake Query for the Query & Company road trip to provide insight on where things are at right now two weeks into the Caleb Williams era, believes that the Chicago Bears defense will keep them in a lot of games, thinks this could be a breakout week for the Bears offense if they can run the ball like Houston and Green Bay did against the Colts, and admits she loves what she has seen from Indiana underneath Curt Cignetti in year number one. (37:10-44:28) – Hour number one with Jake providing some insight on the FBI raid yesterday at the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Zionsville headquarters. (1:04:13-1:20:58) – Kevin Bowen from the Wake-Up Call joins Jake Query from the Colts complex to provide an update as to who was practicing today and who wasn't, believes that Sunday's game will be won by the team that scores 17 points first, agrees with Jake that it is a bit surprising how regular we talked about the Fever this season with Caitlin Clark's popularity being similar to The Beatles, and shares some of his takeaways from our conversation last week with Mike Vanderjagt. (1:20:58-1:23:28) – Hour number two concludes with Jake asking Eddie if it is considered weird in today's day to just go on drives with the windows down to just let your mind wander with whatever playlist you have on in the car. Jared has found the trends you need to know for Colts/Bears openers Sunday. Sam King (23:15) calls in from the airport on his birthday to talk high school football.
Both Minshew and Ehlinger started antsy, then settled in and played well. Kenyon Drake and Pharaoh Brown will not make the 53 man roster. Colts only gave up 1 sack against the Chicago Bears, who had 8 the week prior. Grant Stuart is making a name for himself. Will the Colts and Eagles play their starters in the Dress Rehearsal game? Jonathan Taylor is right to want a long term, high end contract. The Indianapolis Colts are also right in wanting to know if he's still as good as he was in 2021. The Colts have granted Taylor permission to seek a trade in the NFL. The Christian McCaffrey trade was an outlier because the 49ers were desperate. The Colts are expecting Taylor to come back and play for them, after realizing he's not getting what he wants.

Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears joint practices are so important for Anthony Richardson, now he has been named the starter. Prime opportunity for Richardson to get a lot of playing time against the Bears. There is familiarity between the Bears and Colts. So many offensive linemen for Indy need reps into the 2nd team, with Richardson. Even though play calls are vanilla, Shane Steichen still needs to expand Richardson's playbook. Our Wide Receivers and Tight Ends need to produce vs the Bears secondary. The Colts young defensive secondary will have their hands full. Shaquille Leonard still needs the first contact in a live game. Will Deon Jackson continue his good production, with the starting Running Backs injured?
(00:00-24:03) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Thursday with Jimmy Cook discussing the latest news from Grand Park after this morning's practice for the Indianapolis Colts. (46:12-52:27) – Jimmy and Eddie conclude the first hour of the show by discussing the comments made by Michael Pittman Jr. regarding a potential contract extension before the start of the season. (1:22:43-1:38:03) – Colts offensive lineman Bernhard Raimann joins Jimmy Cook on the Fan Midday Show to reflect on his expectations from last year entering his rookie campaign, what led to him playing better down the final month of the season, the vibe of the offensive line room since the hiring of Shane Steichen and Tony Sparano Jr., if he has a different blocking approach when Anthony Richardson is quarterbacking compared to Gardner Minshew, and how adding muscle this offseason has resulted in him feeling more comfortable during training camp. Should elite athletes in high school consider playing a different position? What does this mean for the Colts and Jonathan Taylor with his extension looming? (29:31-45:36) – Nate Atkins with Bears Wire calls in to talk about everything going on in Chicago this season. What does the potential look like for Justin Fields and the Bears? Is this a prove-it year for him after the team passed on Bryce Young and the young crop of QBs from this year's draft? How big is the addition of DJ Moore for this squad and for the development of Fields? (45:37-51:20) - James and Jimmy close out the first hour with Summer League talk. (51:21-1:20:07) – Jake Arthur, who covers the Colts for Sports Illustrated, joins the show to talk about the training camp battles around the roster. What will it look like at quarterback after Jim Irsay's comments on Monday? If Richardson doesn't start week 1, will we still see some packages for him off the bench? They then shift the conversation to the offensive line, and to the secondary. After that, they discuss the landscape of running backs in the league and talk about what that means for Jonathan Taylor going into a contract year. James asks Arthur what the heck is going on with Shaq Leonard? Will he ever return to maniac form? Finally, who are the breakout candidates for the Colts this year? (1:20:08-1:35:34) – Jimmy tells James to put himself in Jonathan Taylor's shoes. What should JT be looking at coming up this season in terms of long-term security vs maximizing a payday. What about Michael Pittman? (1:35:35-1:40:23) – The one o'clock hour concludes talking about Justin Herbert and the Chargers. (1:40:24-2:12:11) – Tony East, a Pacers beat writer for Sports Illustrated and others, joins the show to talk about the Blue and Gold. Jarace Walker has looked great in the summer league, what does that mean for this season with Indy? What are the expectations for the Pacers thi year? How legit are the trade rumors for Pascal Siakam and what kind of fit would he be for the Pacers? Then, they bring up the Fever and ask when Aliyah Boston's insane production will start to turn into wins. (2:12:12-2:25:09) – James and Jimmy take a step back and look at the quarterback picture in the entire NFL. Is it fair to expect so much from guys like Justin Herbert so early in their careers? (2:25:10-2:27:36) – The show closes with an abnormal version of JCook Plays of the Day, parlaying a couple of Wimbledon winners.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

If Eberflus raids the Colts assistant coach staff, I'mm good with that. Might be time for a fresh start. Some churn from the staff that put together the 29th ranked scoring defense in the fourth quarter works for me. Rob Phinisee might be able to play sooner rather than later, but not tomorrow! Trey Galloway and Tamar Bates may spell Xavier Johnson at the point. Seriously! 'Pacers tonight in OKC! Pacers fans prefer a Pacers loss by a four-to-one margin! We talk about how the greedy owners will keep the season going no matter what, including the kind of bold and innovative solutions cha boys are known for. (27:52) Lotta garbage teams! Aaron Rodgers yells “hard count” while decimating the Falcons and we apply this to other sports.(38:59) Joe Burrow vs Gardner Minshew in the “likea-bowl.” The Jags kicker has an insane tattoo and we brainstorm other insane tattoos.(59:42) RIP The Bill O’Brien era, we look at the most memorable moments and they’re all bad. Is it good to fire your head coach early?(1:12:00) The Lions lose in a new way every week. Patricia “had a lot of work to do” and that’s BS.(1:16:22) Dan’s Broncos beat the Jets and he gives the state of fandom, namely that he’s given up on the decade. Do the Jets stick with Darnold?(1:25:00) Colts-Bears was an all-time disaster. We fix “highlight video length.” (1:30:05) Trey Lance, Josh Allen, and the fable of tall QBs. Deadspin says the outcome of yesterday's Bears-Colts game may have predicted, who is going to win the Presidential election. The Colts won 19-11. The teams play every four years. When the Bears won in 2008 and 2012, Barack Obama won the Presidency. When the Colts beat the Bears in 2004 and 2016, George W Bush and Donald Trump won the Presidency. The Colts winning indicates that Trump will be re-elected on November 3rd. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
