Episode 15 of the “Change is possible podcast” is out! My guest is Rana Nawas. She is a 22-year corporate veteran who built her successful career around problem-solving, driving growth and building relationships. After graduating from Oxford with an Engineering degree, she worked in  McKinsey & Company's London Office, the Dubai Government, and GE Capital in a variety of strategy and sales roles. Then she left the corporate world to found her hugely successful podcast "When women win", and become a keynote speaker, advisor, and board chair. Recently, she made another career change and joined Oliver Wyman in Dubai as a partner focusing on the transportation sector. Apart from all the professional success, Rana is a mother of two boys; she is a quad-lingual global citizen, a retired yogini, a cross-fitter, and a cancer survivor. It was such an interesting discussion about life, work, and change Some of Rana's thoughts that stayed with me: The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships You cannot expect everything in life to come out of only one relationship. Sometimes you have to do a job, and you get meaning and purpose from other things And that is OK There are very few dead ends in life. What you want changes over time and that's OK! You recalibrate and figure out what is next Here are Rana's  three key takeaways to have in mind when you plan a career change: - Make sure you are financially secured - Put a lot of thought into what it is that you want to do - When you start with something new – give it a chance; have a grit Tune in, and I promise you – the discussion was so thought-provoking that you will want to spend some alone time thinking about things!

Season 1 Finale is here, and what better way to end it than with a truly special guest that I look up to personally and have had the privilege to work with, that being: Her Excellency Dr. Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, who currently is the Vice Chairwoman of Emaar. The conversation I explore with Dr. Aisha is nothing like she's ever discussed in depth before, since we talk a lot about her upbringing, childhood and the intimate milestones that made her the person she is today. Dr. Aisha was titled as one of the world's most influential Arabs by Arabian Business Magazine (2019) and ranked as the Top 10 'Power Businesswomen' in the Middle East by Forbes in 2020 for the several prominent roles she's held throughout her 25 year career in the government, such as working as an executive for the office of HH sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.Prior to her current role at Emaar, Dr. Aisha was leading Smart Dubai, the smart city and technology arm of the government, and that's where I got the chance to work with her and witness her charismatic leadership.Dr. Aisha's active social media engagement, openness with people and advocacy towards female empowerment made her the admired influencer she is today. Some of the topics I explore with Dr. Aisha in part 1 of the conversation include:- Pressure of holding a leadership role in government as female in the early days- How honesty and openness in government are extremely important today- Why she chose technology as a field of profession back when there weren't many women in it?- Dreams that she had as a child, and were manifested- What does it really mean to work for the executive office of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE- The story of Smart Dubai and how it came about#oneday #dayone #podcast #motivationeveryday #newpodcastepisode#youtubepodcasts #podcastguest #personalgrowth #businessmindset #entrepreneurship#onedaythepodcast #Business #entrepreneur #inspiring #podcastshow #Anghami #spotify #youtube #businessadventure #inspiration #selfdevelopment #dubai #smartdubai #smartcity #smartdubaidata #data #bigdata #smartdata #dtcm #dubaitourism #ai #internetofthings #blockchain #technology #innovation #datapolicy #datastrategy #strategy #economy #digital #dubai_data #activedata #commercialdata #government #govtech #digitaldubai
