On today's episode of the DJV podcast with Doug, Victoria and me, Cara, we talk about some good news coming out today, including an announcement that the 5 year old boy who was thrown off the 3rd floor balcony in the Mall of America by a horrible criminal is out of critical condition, awake and expected to make a full recovery. The man who did it is still being held and will hopefully have the book thrown at him. We talk about the amazing success of Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones over the weekend, the popularity of the NFL draft, and the sad story of newly picked Giants rookie Corey Ballentine, who hours after being drafted by the team, was shot at a party along with one of his college teammates. He survived and will hopefully make a full recovery, but his teammate was killed. There's a new study out and it's comparing the impact too much binge watching of negative content, specifically terror related images, to PTSD. People who repeatedly watch this kind of content are much more likely to continue a cycle of doing so, and end up much more distressed about future negative events than people who don't consume negative news. Armies of unsullied soldiers and Dothraki riders have been spotted assembling outside the gates of the King's Landing set, so look forward to Daenery's arrival some time in the final season of Game of Thrones

The second annual Con of Thrones, the biggest Game of Thrones convention on Earth, kicks off in Dallas on May 25, and the guest lineup is taking shape. Among the many attendees are Joe Dempsie, who plays Gendry, and Hannah Murray, who plays Gilly. More photos are being leaked from the Magheramorne Quarry set showing a huge battle with human & animal corpses as well as soldiers from all over Westeros fighting together as one against the White Walkers.

Shooting at Magheramorne Quarry continues as a huge special FX sequence is shot and lots of fog is produced.  This fog is an obvious signifier that the White Walkers and their wight followers are present.

Lots of filming taking place for Game of Thrones' eighth and final season at Magheramorne Quarry.  Rumors are Jaime & Brienne are on set.  Dozens of green screen actors on horseback are present, and the production has erected a massive green screen wall to fill in for an unknown background...

Game of Thrones has an enormous cast of characters, and we're unlikely to see all of them in the eighth and final season...

Straight from the the set of Game of Thrones season 8, actors/actress have been spotted in green-screen suits and this can only mean one thing...wights!  But these actors are doing something that wights haven't been spotted doing in the GoT universe so far...

The Game of Thrones production will return to the Roman ruins of Italica, a setting used on the show to represent the ever infamous Dragons Pits (seen in season 7).
