A podcast addition to Geeky Stoics“Don't seek for everything to happen as you wish it would, but rather wish that everything happens as it actually will—then your life will flow well”- Epictetus, Enchiridion, 8.Grey Worm looks at Missandei, with a profound seriousness on his face but a sort of sadness in his eyes. He has not just accepted what happened to him, but he has chosen something akin to gratitude.“If the masters never cut me, I never am Unsullied. I never stand in the Plaza of Pride when Daenerys Stormborn orders us to kill the masters. I never am chosen to lead the Unsullied. We're back once again talking about the greatest literary character of all time. That's right, it's a Melisandre chapter! Dany is also here and I'm gonna be honest I already forgot what happened in her chapter. Let's say she had a talk with Skahaz and Mo Reznak and cried about Missandei's dead brother. Oh and she has child slaves now, but in a cool woke way, not like the slavers she just outlawed. We are all still grieving the death of many of our favorite characters such as Missandei's brother as well as Dany's favorite harp player, but at the end of the day we must move on and continue with the podcast. This is an episode where Tyrion does the worst thing he's ever done and he's still not the character we hate most. Then, we argue why Dany should have done child murder and at least one of us earnestly suggests that Cersei would have done a better job governing than Dany. So basically it's a great time for everyone involved. Finally, she discovers two huge secrets and reels from the shocking truth. Mackelly and Simon thank the Seven it's not them who deceived her.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen and her host of freed people make camp outside the walls of Meereen. A hero waits for Dany outside the city walls. Dany sends Strong Belwas to face the Meereenese hero. The fight doesn't last long, ending in Belwas decapitating the other man.Later, Dany discusses ways to defeat the city, with her council. Nobody has any useful ideas, so she dismisses them. While ruminating on the task in front of her, she considers Daario Naharis. Dany fancies him and wonders what it'd be like to take him as a lover. She puts the thought aside and goes for a ride, with Missandei and Arstan Whitebeard for company. Dany allows her people to touch her, as she rides by. However, one man pulls her from her saddle. It's Mero, the former commander of the Second Sons. Mero moves to kill her but Arstan instead easily defeats him.Back inside her tent, Dany wants Jorah to knight Arstan for his efforts. Both men balk at that. It's then that Jorah realizes who Arstan really is. He introduces Arstan as Ser Barristan Selmy, a traitor to the Targaryans, for serving under Robert the Usurper. Barristan scoffs at the hypocrisy and tells Dany of Jorah's treason, selling information about her and her brother to Lord Varys, as part of a pardon agreement. Dany is angry and hurt and sends both men away. The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Daenerys buys the Unsullied army that she needs but pays a huge cost. Not only the three ships and all their contents, but also her dragon Drogon. However, she has a nasty surprise in store for the slavers. Simon and Mackelly consider the economic crimes that pave Daenerys' path to the Iron Throne.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen is willing to pay any price to get her Unsullied slave army. Ultimately, she and the masters of Astapor agree upon the sum: the three ships she sailed into Slaver's Bay on, all of their contents, and… Drogon. Arstan Whitebeard pleads with Dany not to agree to that last bit, but she has him removed from her presence. In return, Dany gets all 8,600 fully-trained Unsullied, along with the partially trained, the recently-cut boys, and the translator slave named Missandei. That night, on board her ship Balerion, she has a vision of Quaithe repeating the riddle she told Dany in Qarth. The next morning she rides to the meeting place among her meager force, including all three dragons. She hands the chain attached to Drogon's neck to Kraznys mo Nakloz and receives the ceremonial whip indicating she now has control over the Unsullied. While Kraznys and the other masters struggle controlling Drogon, Dany rides past the Unsullied shouting to them in High Valyrian that she now owns them and they'll do as she says. She turns back to Drogon and shouts "Dracarys." The dragon bathes Krasnys in flame. The other two dragons are released and all three begin pouring fire down on the Astapori elite in attendance. She commands the Unsullied to kill anyone wearing a tokar, free all slaves, but leave any children unharmed. She then tells the Unsullied soldiers that they are now free.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Daenerys Targaryen - Last remaining descendent of the royal Targaryen line, Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, claimant to the Iron Throne of Westeros.Viserion, Rhaegal, and Drogon - Daenerys' dragons.Ser Jorah Mormont - Exiled former Lord of Bear Island. We've arrived. Not quite to the finale, but only one more week of Talkin' Thrones before we wrap up the legacy of Game of Thrones and officially determine whether the problems of this final season were enough to torch the legacy. The Long Night wrapped up the army of the dead, and then the Last of the Starks set up a seasons worth of conflict that then had to be resolved in 2 episodes. And we arrive at arguably the most problematic, hated and confusingly executed episodes in the show's history, the penultimate episode of the entire show, "The Bells." And when I say confusingly executed, I mean I don't think there's ever been an episode of a television show that was so well executed, so clear with its story and had some of the best onscreen destruction and carnage scenes of the entire show, almost to the point where it elicits a traumatizing reaction, but feels so out of place in the story of Thrones, such a betrayal of so many of the characters we've spent all this time with. We have characters flipping on each other, making last minute decisions, some of which feel earned, some of which makes absolutely no sense. With both her dragon and Missandei dead, Daenerys has every intention of burning King's Landing to the ground and Cersei knows this, herding the citizens of King's Landing into the city to use as a shield. Varys attempts to do what he can to ensure this doesn't happen, attempting to poison Daenerys and appealing to Jon to take his rightful place as the king, but is instead ratted out by Tyrion and burned alive. Then the attack commences, Tyrion frees Jaime to save Cersei before she dies in the attack, Daenerys' army quickly takes the city, destroys the Iron Fleet and the scorpions, before the battle turns to a slaughter as Daenerys turns Drogon on the city and begins burning it to the ground, resulting in one of the most gruesome action sequences the show has ever put to the screen as they proceed to murder every single citizen in the city. Bunch of bodies hit the floor, as we bid goodbye to Varys, the Hound, the Mountain, Qyburn, Euron Greyjoy, Cersei & Jaime. It all ends...next week. Well we survived the Long Night (somehow), and are now onto the final three episodes of the show? Wait, I thought the dead were the end all, be all? There's more? Is the thought process that everyone had when the living were victorious at Winterfell in only the third episode of what was already the shortest season of the show. It's safe to say that if people weren't already aware the show was in trouble, they were with this episode, the Last of the Starks, which has the impossible task of leap frogging through hoops of logic, more than any previous episode in the show's past and rapidly inventing character arcs out of nowhere to push the characters where they need to go for the final two episodes. The surviving heroes at Winterfell bid goodbye to their friends, celebrate in a massive victory feast, before Daenerys turns her forces south to finish with Cersei, but not before begging Jon to keep his true identity a secret. Jon, who's an idiot now, doesn't listen and tells his siblings, which leads Sansa to tell Tyrion, who tells Varys, and the rest is pretty explanatory. Jaime sleeps with Brienne, and then leaves her to save Cersei from inevitable death. The Hound & Arya ride south to settle unfinished business. When Daenerys' forces arrive back at Dragonstone, they are surprised by Euron, who (somehow) shoots and kills Rhaegal with a scorpion. When they had proved to be almost entirely ineffective in the past against the dragons. Gotta love that plot armor. This also leads to Cersei making the single stupidest decision of her entire time as the character, wherein rather than peacefully surrendering to Daenerys, she instead executes Missandei in front of her (still confused as to how Euron got her), pretty much ensuring the destruction of King's Landing in the following episode. It's a series of mind-numbing storytelling decisions that make it very clear how little Benioff & Weiss really cared about the last three episodes and ending the show, and Dom & Pat are here to break it all down in the third to last ever episode of #talkinthrones --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support

The thrilling conclusion from a 4 hr one shot in which the party had to invade through a hell portal with a near nuclear arcana device to destroy a hellish device connecting one plane to another to stop the incursion of hell onto our streets I got to finally stretch my Astral arms and legs as a Dhampir Lvl 12 way of the Astral monk and this is the final conclusion when the majority of the group had fled through the portal 170ft away and Pier King after selling his soul (my character) stood alone, looking edgelordy, atop the obelisk holding a nuclear device with a pit fiend closing in on him.... his only mission to activate the device, sacrificing his own life (and one of his companions Missandei) and closing the gate.... But you can never count out good ole Pier King "DDAAAAAAMNNNN PIER!"

Edward Thomas: https://edwardthomasuk.bandcamp.com/album/exorcism-2 Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Longest Night. This week, it's time for Tyrion's trial-by-combat, as The Mountain and The Viper face off in a battle for the ages. Today is not the day Oberyn dies, erm, apparently. Elsewhere, Reek is assuming his old identity while Ramsay is solving his daddy issues. In Meereen, Grey Worm and Missandei are bonding over their shared history, allowing Grey Worm to finally break free from the Killbot Factory, but there's disappointment in the air as Ser Jorah's years of spying are exposed. It's all happening.

Nathalie Emmanuel, star of Game of Thrones and The Fast and The Furious is our guest queen on this episode of Make It Reign with me, Josh Smith! I first watched Nathalie back in my university (very hungover) days when I was addicted to Hollyoaks as she starred in the show for four years playing Sasha Valentine - remember that?! But after quitting the soap and finding it difficult to find work, Nathalie took on a zero hours contract - something she powerfully opens up about in this episode. But soon the world of Westeros came calling, and for seven seasons, Nathalie starred as Missandei in Game of Thrones before meeting a brutal and controversial end. She went on to star in Mindy Kaling’s TV reimagining of Four Weddings and a Funeral (available via Amazon Prime). And now, she is taking things up a gear for a third time in The Fast and The Furious franchise - which is now in its NINTH film! In this chat we talk about diversity in casting after THAT debate following her Game of Thrones exit, the resilience she gained from being bullied as a teenager and where she draws the line about nudity on screen. There are so many amazing words about working out what your boundaries are, and sticking to them, too - something I could learn from as we step into post lockdown life! Hope you love this episode as much as me and let me know what you think as I LOVE hearing from you! Josh x P.S. This week The TV Boys sit down to discuss Mindy Kaling. You know her from The Office and The Mindy Project, we discuss these as well as many other fantastic shows she has worked on, so listen in!
It's the single Rotten season of one of the greatest TV shows ever made and left some fans as cold as a member of the Night's Watch who forgot his coat. But were critics and audiences too harsh on season 8?
Nathalie Emmanuel discusses her iconic role as Missandei on Game of Thrones as well as her more recent roles, including starring along side Kevin Hart in Quibi's Die Hart and Mindy Kaling's Four Weddings and a Funeral reboot.
"Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe." Arya chillingly says as she gets revenge for the Red Wedding at long last. "When people ask you what happened here, tell them the North remembers. Tell them Winter came for House Frey." Season 7 comes out of the gate hot as House Frey meets its long awaited demise. Bran beyond The Wall sees the Night King and the army of the dead advancing. Meera and Bran arrive at the Night's Watch and tell Edd to send a raven of the looming peril. Jon Snow at Winterfell tells the northern houses about dragonglass and needing as many able bodied fighters as possible. The Wildlings become the Night's Watch at Eastwatch By The Sea, Sansa and Jon disagree about the future of two great houses and Cersei sends Jon a letter telling him to go to King's Landing and bend the knee or suffer the same fate of all traitors. In King's Landing, Cersei and Jaime argue over how to handle the threat to them on all sides. High Garden to the West, Dorne to the South, Dragonstone to the East and Winterfell to the North. Euron Greyjoy attempts to make an alliance with Cersei which she declines. Euron tells her that he will not return until he brings her a "priceless gift" to make her reconsider. Meanwhile, Sam is still at Oldtown working in the Citadel with the Archmaester, Brienne is training Podrick at Winterfell and we get an unexpected cameo from a certain Irish singer! Arya learns that the Great Sept of Baelor was destroyed and that the men she is sitting with were charged with keeping the peace because they heard there was trouble with the Freys at the Twins. They ask Arya why she's going to King's Landing to which she relies "I'm going to kill the queen." While this is going on, the Hound has to face a mistake from the past. Thoros of Myr has the Hound look into the flames and the Hound sees a vision. Back in Oldtown, We see the Cats Paw Dagger in the old archives of the citadel and learn its double use and Sam realizes where the living can find as much dragon glass as needed. A certain grayscaled hero makes his appearance right before we see the Dragon Queen arrive at Dragonstone in Westeros for first time. Daenerys asks "Shall we begin?" Daenerys and her advisers make plans for her next move and she is skeptical of Varys. "Swear this to me Varys, if you ever think I'm failing the people, you won't conspire behind make back. You'll look me in the eye as you have done today and you'll tell me how I'm failing them." Daenerys tells him. Varys responds "I swear it my queen." to which Daenerys replies "and I swear this, if you ever betray me, I'll burn you alive." Melisandre arrives and we learn a certain loophole to the prince that was promised from Missandei and Melisandre urges Daenerys to summon Jon Snow. Daenerys agrees, but adds a required addendum to the summons. In King's Landing Cersei is trying to manipulate and gain as many allies as possible while Jaime specifically attempts to gain Randyll Tarley's alliance from Olenna Tyrell. Sam meets the grayscaled man and realizes who it is, Qyburn has a plan for Daenerys' dragon's while Daenerys' war council has a plan of it's own. Grey Worm and Missandei share a passionate goodbye, we learn what the name for a Song of Ice and Fire was initially intended to be and Sam disobeys a direct order from the Archmaester. Arya sees an old friend at an inn which causes her to change her mind and go North to Winterfell instead of South to King's Landing. Jon receives letter from Sam detailing where Jon can find all the dragon glass he needs and Jon makes an executive decision. Ellaria and Yara have a steamy interaction right before their ship is attacked. Euron shows his true prowess as a warrior and naval commander, killing two Snakes and taking a Greyjoy captive. Keep it rolling with us here at the Riddikulus Crew as we are winding down on this epic Game of Thrones arc. We are in the deep waters now as we have gotten to the point of no return with the only seasons left being the most hotly debated ones that Benioff and Weiss wrote without any books to lean on. As Melisandre warns us in Season 7 Episode 2, "The Long Night is coming. Only the prince who was promised can bring the dawn."

Common-born characters such as Davos, Missandei, Bronn, Gilly and others play the game of thrones very differently than their noble counterparts. Some even play it better! Let's discuss why this may be and what we can learn from these differences. Featuring Luka Nieto and David Rosenblatt from Watchers on the Wall, Daphne Olive and Michael (bookshelfstud) of Maester Monthly.

Only Jaime & Brienne: The World's Most Niche Game of Thrones Podcast
It’s a bonus episode! Two months after the “Game of Thrones” finale, Victoria and Sharada talk about the Emmy nominations, including whether Gwendoline Christie could win. We chat about Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s many Jaime and Brienne opinions and why they are a bit contradictory and sometimes wrong (but why we know he’ll always be a Braime). Sharada defends Victoria for defending Jaime Lannister (while Brienne of Tarth never needs defending). Plus we pitch some more projects for Gwen and Nik to do together! Also Victoria realized while editing that she said Missandei instead of Melisandre please don’t flame me! Email the pod onlyjaimeandbrienne@gmail.com. Follow us on Instagram @onlyjaimeandbrienne. Welcome to Seasonal Impressions! Brian and Fez discuss one season per episode, paced perfectly for those who binge an entire season of television on a free day, just like us! In this episode we discuss season eight of George R.R. Martin and HBO's Emmy winning series Game of Thrones! Starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Iain Glen as Jorah Mormont, Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy, Isaac Hempstead Wright as Bran Stark, Nathalie Joanne Emmanuel as Missandei, Jacob Basil Anderson as Grey Worm, John Bradley as Samwell Tarly, Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth, and Peter Dinklage in his Emmy nominated role as Tyrion Lannister.
The first screens of the Netflix “Witcher” show have come out, and people are mildly irritated by the fact Geralt only has one sword. Ryan Reynolds is remaking “Home Alone” into a stoner comedy. Some shots have been released of what John Cho looks like with “Spike” hair and I gotta say, he looks pretty good. Charlie’s Angels trailer released, James seems to have some issues. The relationship ending game “Catan” is coming to Switch. Beware. EVERYONE DON’T FREAK OUT, PAUL RUDD HAS JOINED THE CAST OF GHOSTBUSTERS. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. The long awaited “Destroy All Humans” remake will reportedly have all of the original voice actors. Who’s ready for another interesting mobile Pokemon game? No really, it looks great. Pokemon Masters comes soon! Tom Holland doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, he’s been slated for at least 7 more movies. Nathalie Emmanuel, “Missandei” as she’s better known, is being eyed for the MCU version of Storm. Lexi Rabe, for SOME REASON is being bullied online. She played Endgame’s “Morgan Stark”. SHE’S 7, YOU MONSTERS! In what could be the best casting of our age, Melissa McCarthy has reportedly been yanked for the Live-Action “Little Mermaid”, as Ursula. Sailor Moon Eternal 2-Part anime film project is starting in 2020. Netflix is reportedly adapting Neil Gaiman’s most famous work, “Sandman”. A special nod to Christopher C. Cowan and his take on what a live-action fight from MHA could look like. Spoilers: It’s freaking nuts. What in the hell is “Banana Splits” and why does James want to see it? Should you get Amazon Prime for TV? Between “Good Omens”, “The Boys” “The Expanse” and “Carnival Row”, YES. YES YOU SHOULD. There is a hilarious trailer of “Teen Titans vs. Teen Titans Go!” that was just released. Codename “Project Americas”, better known as GTA6, might be set in the 70s and 80s Brazil and you work your way up the drug ring, loosely inspired by “Narcos” Dr Disrespect, wasn’t…disrespectful? Guy Beahm, AKA Dr Disrespect broke character for the first time ever on his return to Twitch streaming, apologizing for his E3 Bathroom Stream shenanigans. It’s very unlike him and very interesting. Comic Book Corner: Joe Hill, son of Stephen King, is launching a horror-themed DC comics line. MAJOR SPOILER ALERT: The War of the Realms has ushered in a new age for many of our heroes, most importantly the role of All-Father has been passed on by Odin himself. THOR is now our new All-Father. Who is Aero? And why is she important? Doctor Strange #15 by Mark Waid, has some CRAZINESS happening. Without spoiling TOO much. Galactus has effectively been permanently altered by an event. He’s now mystical on top of everything else. Anime Acute Angle: Could the sad slice of life movies be the next big thing? After “Your Name” and “A Silent Voice”, I WANT MORE “Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon” season 2 is on its way…July 13th. The first screens of the Netflix “Witcher” show have come out, and people are mildly irritated by the fact Geralt only has one sword. Ryan Reynolds is remaking “Home Alone” into a stoner comedy. It's time to put your fingers where your mouth is! More than 100 Shat on TV listeners wrote in their improved versions of "Game of Thrones," and we chose the weirdest, smartest, and most original rewrites for this bonus edition of Shat on TV. Your wild imaginations brought us everything from George R.R. Martin's cruel childhood to a Hulked-out Tyrion. And more serious topics ranged from Daenerys' possible bipolar disorder to brutal endings for nearly all our characters. What if we had more cliffhangers and a longer season? What if Bran delivered the future to us in the final episode? Or if Dany went full White Walker and Jon Snow still loved her? Plus, one listener wrote us a letter we couldn't help turning into a song with the help of singer Natalie Ribbons. It's our parting gift after two painfully short seasons of Game of Thrones together. Let's keep the party going! Subscribe to our other podcasts at shatontv.com and shatthemovies.com. And find more of Natalie Ribbons' music at facebook.com/telenovellamusic. "Game of Thrones" is over, but listener email keeps pouring in. And that's the recipe for a Bonus Small Council edition of Shat on TV. The King Bee is back to share his opinion on Season 8 and ask, "What's the worst thing you ever did to an ex?" Gene explains how "Game of Thrones" is like a decade-long Bob Ross painting, and listeners continue their fight over whether Bran is a fitting king or just a sneaky creep. Listener Ken L. shares his theories on where Drogon went with Daenerys' body, plus what happened to the Dothraki after she died. Meanwhile, listener Reeshee writes in about the demonization of minorities in "Game of Thrones." No matter your opinion, we all can agree on one thing expressed beautifully in a voicemail from listener Courtney K: Jon Snow is the worst boyfriend in Westeros. Berker, Deniz ve Mehmet, Game of Thrones dizisinin final bölümü hakkında konuşuyor.
Thrones is almost at an end, and the most recent installment, "The Bells," felt more like a cinematic blockbuster to Andrew and Manu than an episode of television. There are definite positives to that in terms of directing, set design, cinematography, and more! Unfortunately, we also get some questionable storytelling choices, resulting in huge moments like Dany's heel turn on the innocents of King's Landing feeling rushed. But between that, the Jaime/Cersei storyline, Cleganebowl, Arya's wanderings, and the last stand of Varys, there's so much to talk about! Next week's finale will be something to behold. Lindsey Romain's Nerdist post on the white horse symbolism Bookshelfstud's referenced episode recap Nathalie Emmanuel's EW interview about Missandei's death and GoT's larger diversity issues This GIF of the Cleganebowl step staredown with Drogon in the background is just an incredible shot Andrew's post about "Last of the Starks," the previous season 8 episode which we did not have time to podcast about Register with the discount code "Manu" for Con of Thrones (Nashville, July 12-14) iTunes link Google Play link

Dominic and Ciaran discuss the fourth episode of season eight “The Last Of The Starks”. They analyze how this episode represents some of the best and worst aspects of the series. From the rushing through storylines, to the great character moments, to the problematic death of Missandei. They also try and answer the questions of why everyone is so worried that Dany is becoming and “Mad Queen” and whether it was a mistake for Jon to tell his family the truth about his parents. Also, there was a Starbucks cup in one of the shots which people seem to be mad about for some reason. All this and much more!
This episode of Brotherhood Without Manners we cover the real news if it were happening in Westeros, we look at Nathalie Emmanuel's interesting comments on the endgame and will George R.R. Martin catch up on his writing now he gives up his blogging? Music by Bensound and Lobo Loco.
