The boys are once again dipping into the world of high-class assassins and Gun-Fu, this time with John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. Starring, of course, yer good boi Keanu Reeves. Jokes this week are thick on the ground, with topics including: Book Time with Barry O, the Good Good Book, visiting the VR gun range (and associated nausea), some extremely angry hot dogs, and Tim Robinson goes to church.
The highly anticipated Ballerina, a spin-off from the popular John Wick franchise, faces a 12-month delay and is now set to hit theatres on June 6, 2025. Despite the disappointment of the postponement, fans can expect an even more spectacular film as series creator Chad Stahelski joins director Len Wiseman to shoot additional action scenes. The movie, set between the events of John Wick 3 and John Wick 4, features Ana de Armas as the lead alongside returning stars Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Gabriel Byrne, and the late Lance Reddick. The decision to position the film in this timeline adds an element of suspense regarding the fate of Reeves' character. The plot follows a young female assassin, portrayed by de Armas, seeking revenge for the murder of her family, promising an intense and gripping cinematic experience.
Czteroosobowe jury rozdaje wyróżnienia, wspomina i ogólnie rozmawia o kinie akcji. Gościnnie: słabe cytaty Keanu oraz niechcące dać nam psychicznego wytchnienia problemy techniczne Bartka.

Sometimes the man you don't notice is the most dangerous of all. Bob Odenkirk stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life's indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A NOBODY. Now with a $14 million price on his head, he is the target of an army of murderous bounty hunters. The third instalment of the story continues the emphasis on unreconstituted action, while also adding turns from the likes of Anjelica Huston, Halle Berry and Laurence Fishburne. From the filmmakers behind the Oscar-nominated Embrace of the Serpent comes their latest epic, Birds of Passage, a tale about indigenous traditions and the corrupting forces of wealth and power, set against the backdrop of the Colombian marijuana boom of the 1970s. A film of both gangsters and spirits, corruption and fratricidal war, this is a thrilling depiction of the origins of the drug trade told through the story of an indigenous Wayuu family's downfall when greed, passion and honour collide, putting their lives, culture and ancestral traditions at stake.Discussing the films this week are Jake Cunningham, Caitlin Quinlan, Alasdair Bayman and Mark TowersFollow the team on Social Media:@jakehcunningham - Jake@csquinlan - Caitlin@alasdairbayman - Alasdair@MarkDTowers - MarkProduced by Jake CunninghamEdited by Mark Towers Hosted on Acast.
