Hane-i Saadet'te vahiyle besleniyor olmalarına rağmen, dünya nimetlerine karşı tabii alâka onların içlerinde de bir ölçüde canlılığını koruyordu. Gerçi, o huzur atmosferinde, bugünkü evlerden yükselen şikâyet edalı sesler hiçbir zaman duyulmamıştı; fakat birkaç kere, onların da günde bir-iki öğün yemek yeme ve herkesin istifade ettiği kadar dünyadan istifade etme arzuları ve bu arzularını açığa vuran imaları olmuştu. Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın mü'minlere bol bol nimetler lütfettiğini görünce, Ezvâc-ı Tâhirât da kendilerine verilen nafakanın arttırılması hususunda Gönüllerin Efendisi'ne başvurmuşlardı. Fakat Ufuk İnsan (aleyhissalâtü vesselam) zevcelerinin bu müracaatından hiç memnuniyet duymamış; bilakis, oldukça üzülmüş ve hoşnutsuzluğunu belirtmişti. Hatta Habîb-i Ekrem (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) Efendimiz, eşlerinin daha fazla nafaka talep etmelerinden dolayı o kadar hüzünlenmişti ki, hücre-i saadetine kapanmış ve bir süre hiç kimseyle görüşmek istememişti. Allah Rasûlü'nün eşlerine karşı bu şekilde tavır ayarlamasına ve hücre-i saadetine kapanmasına bir yönü itibarıyla “Îlâ Hâdisesi” denmiştir. *Rasûl-ü Ekrem Efendimiz'in (aleyhissalâtü vesselam) hasır üzerinde istirahat buyurması ve hasırın da vücudunda iz bırakması sebebiyle Hazreti Ömer'in gözleri dolu dolu, “Yâ Rasûlallah! Sasaniler şöyle, Romalılar böyle…” diyerek O'nun da dünya nimetlerinden biraz istifade etmesi gerektiğini ima etmesi üzerine, Efendimiz (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) “İstemez misin, yâ Ömer! Dünya onların olsun, ahiret de bizim olsun!” buyurmuştu. “Bir şem'a ki Mevla yaka, üflemekle sönmez!” Söndüremeyecekler, Allah'ın inayetiyle!.. *Önemli olan, Hazreti Pir'in ifadesiyle, dünyayı kalben terk etmektir, kesben değil. Çünkü ahiret adına dünyanın çok önemi vardır. Kârun kadar bile zengin olabilirsiniz. Fakat iktiza ettiği dönemde, hiç tereddüt etmeden, “Alın bunu, götürün, bir yerde üç-dört tane üniversite açın!” diyebiliyorsanız, bir yönüyle dünyayla Cennet'i peyliyorsunuz demektir. Gününüzde sizin zenginlerinizin çoğu bu felsefeye göre hareket ediyorlar; Allah adetlerini çoğaltsın, birlerini bin etsin. *Başkaları bundan rahatsızlık duyuyor, baskınlar yapıyor ve yapılan himmetlerin önünü almaya çalışıyorlar. Fakat “Takdir-i Hudâ kuvve-yi bâzû ile dönmez / Bir şem'a ki Mevla yaka, üflemekle sönmez!” (Ziya Paşa) Bu yol peygamber yoluysa, bu yol sahabe yoluysa, bu yol Hazreti Ebu Bekir, Hazreti Ömer, Hazreti Osman, Hazreti Ali yoluysa, bu yol Hazreti Hasan, Hazreti Hüseyin, Hazreti Fatıma yoluysa Allah bu yoldan bizi ayırmasın bunu değil öyle zayıf insanlar, Nemrutlar, Firavunlar, Şeddatlar, Amnofisler, İbnüşşemsler bile önleyemeyeceklerdir. *Hizmet Hareketi bir kere çağlamış gidiyor, Allah'ın izni ve inayetiyle. Dünya ve mâfîhâyı kafalarından silip atmış insanlar da kendilerini o çağlayana salmışlar. Deryaya, deryalara boşalacağı âna kadar da bu akıntı devam edecektir. Bunun önünü, falan yerdekiler de, filan yerdekiler de alamayacaklardır. *Sadece bir şeyden endişe ediyorum: Bahreyn'den gelen ganimetler oldukça çoktu. Dünya nimetleri Sahabenin gözünün önüne dökülünce, Allah Rasûlü (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) mübarek parmaklarıyla ganimet mallarını işaret buyurdu; “Ben şu düşmandan, bu düşmandan, şundan bundan endişe duymuyorum; fakat bir gün bunun karşısında tenafüse girip birbirinizle rekabet etmenizden korkuyorum.” dedi. Evet, bu mübarek hareketin gönüllüleri, bu Peygamber yolunda yürüyenler, bu sahabe yolunda hizmet edenler, peylenemeyen bu insanlar peylenememeyi devam ettirirlerse, Allah'ın izni ve inayetiyle, bu iş de devam eder gider.
