Das wiederum registrieren bestimmte Nerven, die sich an der Wand der Blase befinden. Ist die Harnblase gefüllt, verspüren alle Lebewesen den Drang, sich zu erleichtern und die Harnblase zu entleeren. Wir scheiden den Harn dann beim Urinieren aus. Diese Ausscheidung, tritt als natürliches Bedürfnis untertags etwa sechsmal bei Erwachsenen und bis zu zweimal während der Nacht auf. Eine besonders große Flüssigkeitszufuhr oder harntreibende Getränke können diese Häufigkeit natürlich erhöhen.Dazu gehören koffeinhaltige Getränke (Kaffee, schwarzer/grüner Tee, Energy Drinks), Alkohol (besonders Bier und Wein), stark säurehaltige Fruchtsäfte (Zitrusfrüchte), kohlensäurehaltige Getränke sowie stark zucker- oder süßstoffhaltige LimonadenIst der natürliche Harndrang gestört, sprechen wir Ärzte von Miktionsbeschwerden. Dazu zählen sowohl der vermehrte Harndrang als auch ein abgeschwächter Harndrang.
