Also announced for next week - Kenny Omega and MT Nakazawa vs. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. Mox and Kingston had to threaten to break Omega's leg last night to get Don Callis to agree to that match. By the way...The Forbidden Door between AEW and New Japan has opened once again. Yuji Nagata will challenge Moxley for the IWGP United States Championship...ON Dynamite...in two weeks. Cody Rhodes returned to Dynamite last night, and beat up QT Marshall...putting QT in a Figure Four on TOP of the Nightmare Family's tour bus. Cody and QT will meet next week. The brawl between Cody and QT came right after Marshall, Nick Comoroto and Aaron Solow beat Dustin Rhodes, Billy Gunn and Lee Johnson. Marshall pinned Johnson...after a big assist from Anthony Ogogo's devastating right hand. Also announced for next week, a 4-Way Tag Team Match to decide the next challengers for the Young Bucks' tag team titles. It'll be SCU vs. Jurassic Express vs. the Varsity Blondes vs. The Acclaimed. The Bucks beat Matt and Mike Sydal in a non-title match last night. The show opened with an upset. Hangman Page - the #1 ranked singles wrestler in AEW - was pinned by Brian Cage. Darby Allin is still the TNT Champion. Dark Order's 10 got Allin in his Full Nelson, but Allin kicked off the corner turnbuckles and rolled up 10 to escape with the win. After the match, Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky attacked Allin and Sting. Sky specifically targeted Sting's knee. Orange Cassidy used a microphone to add some extra pop to his Orange Punch...and pinned Penta El Zero Miedo. Kris Statlander beat Penelope Ford. Later, things got worse for Kip Sabian...as he was brutally attacked backstage by Miro. Tony Khan was asked about the NHL's new broadcast deal with Turner Sports...and what it could mean for Dynamite's spot on Wednesday nights. (Tony Khan On TV Deal) Tony Khan on Busted Open Radio. The field is set for North American Championship Eliminator Gauntlet and Io Shirai takes the fight to Raquel Gonzalez. Santos Escobar and Legado del Fantasma are poised for their title matches. Christan Cage made his in ring debut for AEW while in a shocking turn of events QT Marshall took his exhibition match against Cody to heart. As a result there is now a fracture in the Nightmare Family. Dynamite took a turn for the worst in the second hour, culminating with a main event "Arcade Anarchy" match. During the Arcade Anarchy match between Miro & Kip Sabian and Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor...Kris Statlander made a surprise return. She emerged from one of the arcade machines set up around ringside and took out Penelope Ford. Later, Trent made an even more dramatic return...riding into Daily's Place in his mom's minivan. Sue was at the wheel. Trent helped turn the tide. Taylor pinned Sabian and the Best Friends reunited, and celebrated alongside Statlander, to end the show. Two weeks after being laid out by MJF's new crew, The Pinnacle...The Inner Circle returned with a vengeance. They stormed The Pinnacle's dressing room - which was actually theirs first - and this was a rout. Santana & Ortiz battered and bloodied FTR...Sammy Guevara slammed Shawn Spears' head in a door...and Chris Jericho dunked MJF's head in a toilet. The exhibition match between Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall ended in a violent split of the Nightmare Family. Several of Marshall's students - Nick Comoroto, Aaron Solow and Anthony Ogogo - helped him beat down Cody, Dustin Rhodes, Arn Anderson and Lee Johnson. QT had even more planned with a steel chair, but Red Velvet ran out to save Cody. AEW Champ Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers beat the Lucha Bros. and Laredo Kid. Omega pinned Laredo Kid with the One Winged Angel. After the match, Jon Moxley strolled out to ringside...and the Young Bucks ran out to stand with him. (STINGER: WWE) Two new matches announced - and details sorted out on a third - for next week's NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Added to Night 1 - Pete Dunne vs. Kushida. They were part of a Battle Royal main event on last night's NXT…to decide the participants and the order of entry for an Eliminator Gauntlet match on Night 1 of TakeOver. LA Knight was the winner. So, he'll enter the gauntlet match last. Isaiah SWERVE Scott and Leon Ruff will be the first two men in the ring - followed by Bronson Reed...Cameron Grimes will be fourth...with Dexter Lumis fifth...and Knight after that. The winner of the gauntlet match on Night 1 of TakeOver gets a shot at Johnny Gargano's North American Championship on Night 2. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell will challenge Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon for the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles on Night 2 of TakeOver. Results from last night's Raw are straight ahead in this update but first… Authorities in Tampa, Florida are taking a hard look at how things were handled for the Super Bowl...and perhaps what needs to be different in just over two months...when WWE moves in for WrestleMania. The effectiveness of COVID-19 precautions at Raymond James Stadium and other NFL events will not be fully known for at least a couple weeks. But police and other officials are disappointed by what they saw AFTER the game. Victory celebrations saw many revelers maskless...and ignoring social distancing measures.
