It's not a particularly good one, actually it's pretty poor in the grand scale of Radios, but it's not absolute garbage, and it does work as it's designed to. The thing that makes it iconic is the price. Where a Radio Amateur might have paid £300-£1000 for an equivalent product from a reputable manufacturer (Icon, Yeasu, Kenwood etc), I paid around £7 for this one from China (or £26 in the UK)! Which is astonishing when you consider this includes the Radio, Antenna, a Removable Li-ion Battery, two headsets, case, cradle dock and a charger.
