Diablo Reveals – 29:10 Never really played Diablo, but with a Netflix show and an intriguing announcement of Diablo V, I'm open, or will be in 2029 when it arrives. Starcraft Reveal – 35:27 Also not a Starcraft player, but dude…did you see that cinematic?!  An open-world, story-driven shooter game just might pull me into the SC universe. The Last Titan Teaser – 1:14:56 Slightly unexpected and thin on any details, this brief cinematic definitely teases what's on the horizon.  Giant titan robots. Warcraft III…What? – 1:22:22 An expansion for what now?  The new campaigns added to Warcraft III give us insight into the fall of Lorderon and set up the story at the opening of the next new way to play World of Warcraft… WoW Forever! – 1:28:43 Finally, we put the moniker “Classic+” to bed once and for all.  WoW Forever has enchanted a large portion of the WoW player base and this is only beta.  Launch is November 4.  So excited for this sweet spot combination of Classic and Retail, possibly greater than the sum of its parts. Zákony mladej republiky klopú na dvere horských obydlí i panských sídel a hrozia neodvratným zánikom života, v ktorom platili predovšetkým nepísané zákony otcov. Ako ľahko možno zabudnúť na ľudí, ktorí boli súčasťou našej histórie, ale v jednom momente sa stali nežiaducimi?

Nixos är ett operativsystem byggt ovanpå, där man deklarerar vad man ha och får reproducerbarhet, återställbarhet, och en massa annat trevligt. Som uppvärmning berör vi bland annat fönsterhantering och lite lösa funderingar kring språkmodeller. Därefter rör vi oss mot Nix via förklaringar av Terraform/Opentofu och Ansible. När vi väl kommer in på Nixos kommer vi också tillbaka till den intressanta skarven mellan utvecklare och folk som har hand om system och var skarven mellan dem ska gå. Om jag inte vill ta hand om miljön min kod rullar i helt själv så måste jag kanske också acceptera att någon annan sköter om den - och att jag därmed inte kan gå in och göra handpåläggning här och där bara för att det är enklast för mig i stunden. Driver inställningarna kan det inte vara personen som satt upp miljöns problem. Nixos hjälper till att lyfta sådana problem. Har man behörighet så måste man bry sig, på gott och väldigt mycket ont. Peter Pecze je marketingový riaditeľ pretekárskeho okruhu Slovakia Ring, ktorý okrem organizácie veľkých i menších pretekov vo veľkej miere dbá aj na edukáciu verejnosti o bezpečnosti. Práve bezpečnosť v cestnej premávke je jednou z troch tém novej epizódy podcastu portálu Autobazar.EU.Každý rok na slovenské cesty prichádza 60-tisíc nových vodičov, ktorí nemajú skúsenosti, im nové asistenčné funkcie v moderných autách rozhodne pomáhajú, hovorí Pecze v rozhovore, ktorý sme zrealizovali koncom júna.Túto epizódu podcastu som rozdelil na tri tematické časti, ktoré považujem za veľmi aktuálne: práve prebiehajúca letná sezóna Slovakia Ringu, bezpečnosť v cestnej premávke a manažérsky vhľad do prevádzky motoristického okruhu na Slovensku. Zaujímala ma finančná aj personálna stránka manažmentu tohto veľkolepého multifunkčného areálu, ďalej či dostáva podporu od štátu, keďže prevádzka podobných okruhov je aj v záujme verejnosti.Okruh sa napríklad v záujme popularizácie rozhodol sprístupniť trať pre peších a kolobežkárov, môžu si prejsť celý šesťkilometrový okruh zadarmo. Aký má tento program v čase vyťaženej letnej sezóny zmysel?A ako s týmto všetkým súvisí edukácia verejnosti o bezpečnosti? Vôbec sa to nevylučuje, tvrdí Pecze. Svojím spôsobom v Orechovej Potôni ukazujú štátu, ako má vyzerať správne koncipovaná autoškola. Je to model prebratý z Rakúska, spomína Pecze, pričom práve v zahraničí vidí pozitívny vzor pre efektívnejšiu prípravu mladých vodičov na krízové situácie na cestách.Bezpečnosť na cestách je priestor, v ktorom majú Slovakia Ring ako značka a Pecze ako osoba vybudovanú silnú autoritu pre početné vyjadrenia predstaviteľov okruhu v médiách, ale aj pre prevádzku školy bezpečnej jazdy. Od júna sa do metodiky tréningov zvládania krízových situácií pridal aj workshop správnej manipulácie s detskými sedačkami - Slovakia Ring vytvoril partnerstvo s výrobcom Cybex.V rozhovore mi Peter Pecze povedal aj o tom, čo je problémom mladých vodičov a prečo sa vlastne o nich hovorí ako o probléme. Táto epizóda je dlhšia ako obyčajne, pretože som sa rozhodol nevystrihnúť žiadnu z preberaných častí, všetky som považoval za dôležité. Zvlášť odporúčam vypočuť si časť o bezpečnosti, ktorej sme venovali najviac pozornosti - tento okruh začína od 27. minúty.Erik Stríž

Snaha o verejné prerokovanie návrhu strategického dokumentu o akceleračných zónach pre veterné elektrárne sa v júni skončila fiaskom. Verejné prerokovanie bolo plné kriku a zástupcovia ministerstva životného prostredia ho predčasne ukončili bez toho, aby sa vôbec dostali k slovu. „Bola to mimoriadne napätá situácia, akú sme tu ešte nevideli, ale myslím si, že štát si za to môže do značnej miery aj sám,“ hovorí Ján Karaba, riaditeľ Slovenskej asociácie udržateľnej energetiky (SAPI). Dôvodom je podľa neho veľmi zlý spôsob prípravy celého návrhu akceleračných zón, ktorému chýbala riadna komunikácia s verejnosťou a dotknutými obcami. „Ministerstvo tu zlyhalo a podcenilo situáciu, ktorá je nabitá emóciami. Od začiatku mali komunikovať, čo budú robiť, a podrobiť návrh riadnemu pripomienkovaniu ešte skôr, ako zorganizovali verejnú diskusiu.“ Mimoriadny odpor časti verejnosti proti veternej energii je spôsobený aj tým, že samotná vláda na čele s premiérom majú rozporné vyjadrenia. Na jednej strane vláda napĺňa plán obnovy, kde sa zaviazala budovať veterné parky ako čistý a bezpečný obnoviteľný zdroj energie, a na druhej strane premiér Fico vyhlásil, že veterné elektrárne nepotrebujeme. „Zrejme je tu záujem, aby sme boli odkázaní len na ruský plyn a jadro.“ Slovenská vláda sa snaží naštartovať ekonomický rast a hľadá spôsoby, ako zabezpečiť firmám lacnejšiu elektrinu. Podľa Karabu by aj tu mohli pomôcť práve veterné elektrárne, pretože predstavujú jeden z najlacnejších zdrojov. „Veterný park sa dá postaviť za pár mesiacov. Elektrina z vetra stojí 50 - 60 eur za MW/h, pričom súčasná cena elektriny na trhu je viac ako 100 eur za MW/h.“ Odpor časti verejnosti proti veterným elektrárňam sa spája s obavami z ich vplyvu na ľudské zdravie a životné prostredie. Ľudia sa najčastejšie boja hluku a škodlivých vibrácií turbín. Karaba priznáva, že v ich blízkosti človek skutočne môže počuť svišťanie. Zdôrazňuje však, že na Slovensku platí veľmi prísna legislatíva, podľa ktorej je minimálna odstupová vzdialenosť turbín od obydlí jeden kilometer. „V takejto vzdialenosti už nemáte šancu počuť ani cítiť vôbec nič.“ Vďaka moderným technológiám sú tiež dnešné turbíny väčšie a ekologickejšie ako pred dvadsiatimi rokmi, keď sa začali stavať v susednom Rakúsku. Slováci čoraz viac investujú cez aplikácie a sociálne siete. Podľa Františka Michalovicha z ARTS Asset Management však mnohí podceňujú riziko a nie sú pripravení na väčší prepad trhov Slováci stále prechádzajú „investičnou evolúciou“. Pribúda síce počet ľudí, ktorí investujú samostatne cez mobilné aplikácie či online platformy, no často im chýbajú základné skúsenosti aj pochopenie rizika. „Sme v období, keď si veľa ľudí myslí, že investovaniu už rozumejú, pretože trhy dlhodobo rastú. Skutočný problém nastane až vtedy, keď príde dlhší prepad a investor uvidí na účte mínus tridsať alebo mínus päťdesiat percent,“ hovorí František Michalovich, Head of Sales pre Česko a Slovensko zo spoločnosti ARTS Asset Management. Podľa neho mladšia generácia investorov nezažila skutočnú finančnú krízu na vlastných peniazoch. Výkyvy posledných rokov sa síce prejavili nervozitou na trhoch, no poklesy boli krátkodobé a nasledovalo rýchle zotavenie. Aj preto sú investori ochotnejší podstupovať vyššie riziko, najmä v technologických akciách či kryptomenách. Mnohí investori robia chybu už pri samotnom nastavení portfólia. „Ľudia si myslia, že investujú do široko diverzifikovaného indexu, no v skutočnosti dávajú veľkú časť peňazí do jedného sektora. To už nie je diverzifikácia, ale koncentrované riziko,“ upozorňuje F. Michalovich. Za najväčší problém považuje absenciu finančných rezerv. Mnohí podľa neho preskakujú základnú finančnú gramotnosť a okamžite vstupujú do rizikových investícií. „Rezerva je štartovacia pozícia. Bez nej by človek ani nemal začať investovať. Keď príde nečakaný výdavok alebo strata práce, investor je nútený vyberať peniaze v nevhodnom čase.“ Kritický je aj voči ilúzii jednoduchého a rýchleho zbohatnutia, ktorú podporujú sociálne siete. Podľa neho mnohí nfluenceri často ponúkajú univerzálne návody bez ohľadu na individuálnu situáciu investorov. „Každý má inú toleranciu rizika, iný horizont a inú sumu peňazí. To, čo funguje jednému človeku, nemusí fungovať druhému.“ Za dôležitý faktor považuje aj reguláciu finančného trhu. Investor by si podľa neho mal vždy overiť, či platforma alebo produkt podlieha dohľadu regulátora. „Ak mi niekto sľubuje garantované výnosy alebo neprimerane vysoké zhodnotenie, je to veľký varovný signál.“ F. Michalovich zároveň tvrdí, že Slováci často prechádzajú z jedného extrému do druhého. Na jednej strane držia úspory iba na účtoch, na druhej strane investujú všetko do kryptomien alebo špekulatívnych titulov. Inšpiráciu vidí v Rakúsku, kde sú investori konzervatívnejší a investujú dlhodobo. „Rakúšanovi stačí päť či šesť percent ročne, pretože investuje pokojne šesťdesiat rokov. U nás sa za dlhodobého investora považuje človek, ktorý investuje dvadsať rokov. Potom prirodzene rastie tlak na rýchle a rizikové výnosy,“ vysvetľuje. Viac sa dozviete v podcaste.

Langošová kauza sa dostala do finále, vyzerá to na šťastný koniec pre majiteľa prevádzky v Kvetoslavove. Odhalila však nejedno pokrivenie systému a nespravodlivý prístup voči tým, ktorí si poctivo plnia daňové či účtovné povinnosti - na rozdiel od aktérov veľkých a drahých káuz. To predstavuje stomiliónový trh a ak tam uspejete, máte najlepšiu šancu sa internacionalizovať,“ vysvetľuje Zuzana Nötstaller, advokátka a partnerka FAIRSQUARE Rakúsko. Hlavnou motiváciou firiem je stabilné podnikateľské prostredie a predvídateľný legislatívny rámec, čo na Slovensku čoraz viac chýba. Majú aj väčšiu ochranu a podporu zo strany štátu, ktorý zároveň viac podporuje inovácie. V neposlednom rade ich láka väčšia kúpna sila. Pre mnoho firiem je dôvodom na odchod zo Slovenska aj transakčná daň. „Mám klienta, ktorý len minulý rok zaplatil 600-tisíc eur na transakčnej dani,“ hovorí Zuzana Nötstaller. Pre firmy je veľmi dôležité daňové zaťaženie. V Rakúsku je daň z príjmu vyššia ako na Slovensku a platí sa ešte aj 27,5-percentná daň z kapitálových výnosov pri výplate podielov na zisku. „Daň z príjmov právnických osôb je plošne 23 percent. Daň z dividend síce je 27,5 percenta, ale je tam možná optimalizácia, ak je spoločník zo Slovenska. Okrem toho, ak spoločníkom nie je fyzická osoba, ale právnická osoba, tak sa táto daň neplatí vôbec,“ vysvetľuje advokátka. Ale treba byť opatrný, pretože stačí, aby si v Rakúsku otvorili sklad alebo kanceláriu a už sa to považuje za usídlenie a treba aplikovať iný režim. Podľa advokátky rakúske pracovné právo môže vyzerať komplikovanejšie, ale nie je také rigidné, ako sa môže zdať. Neexistuje tam jedna minimálna mzda, v platnosti je asi 800 rôznych kolektívnych zmlúv, ktoré firmy musia rešpektovať, ale zamestnanca môžu prepustiť aj bez uvedenia dôvodu. My guest today is Lee Jussim , Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Rutgers and one of social psychology's most persistent internal critics. And he's also a fellow Substacker, so go and check out his excellent publication Unsafe Science on Substack after the podcast. I highly recommend it.For decades, Jussim has challenged a powerful story inside his own field. Social psychology often treated stereotypes as false by definition, implicit bias as a hidden force explaining discrimination, and ordinary human judgment as something suspect — something experts had to diagnose and correct.Jussim's work points in the opposite direction. He argues that many demographic stereotypes are in fact statistically accurate, that this is one of the largest and most replicable findings in social psychology, and that the Implicit Association Test does not measure what its strongest proponents claimed it measured: hidden racism that reliably predicts discriminatory behavior. Ordinary people, in his telling, often read social reality far better than the discipline wanted to believe.In this conversation, we talk about stereotype accuracy, implicit bias, DEI, academic conformity, and what happens when a science built to study bias becomes blind to its own.It is an American debate, but not only an American one. V kalendári stálo – 1996. Slovensko už pol roka žilo únosom prezidentovho syna. Večer 29. apríla však na začiatku bratislavskej Karlovej Vsi vybuchlo auto. O život prišiel kamarát a spojka jedného zo spoluúnoscov Michala Kováča mladšieho. Róbert Remiáš sa stal pred tridsiatimi rokmi obeťou a zároveň symbolom Mečiarovho režimu. Oskar Fegyveres, mladý siskár, začal odhaľovať detaily zavlečenia prezidentovho syna do Rakúska. Keďže sa do únosu zapojila Slovenská informačná služba a spojenia viedli k politikom, ocitol sa v bezprostrednom nebezpečenstve, ušiel a skrýval sa v zahraničí. Spojkou so Slovenskom bol pre Fegyveresa jeho kamarát, vtedy 25-ročný Róbert Remiáš. Dvadsiateho deviateho apríla 1996 na následky požiaru po výbuchu auta zomrel. Kultúra bola zásadnou súčasťou nacistickej mocenskej stratégie, naprieč územím, ktoré sa dostalo pod vplyv tretej ríše, vrátane vojnového slovenského štátu. Prekvapivo však nacistický vplyv na kultúru na Slovensku zostal dlho na pokraji záujmu historikov. To sa dnes mení. V týchto mesiacoch prebieha výskum pod vedením historika Miloslava Szabóa, ktorý vychádza z podrobného štúdia nemeckých archívov Ministerstva zahraničných vecí a Spolkového archívu. Tento výskum onedlho vyjde aj v knižnej podobe pod názvom „Nacistická soft-power vo vzťahu k vojnovému slovenskému štátu v rokoch 1939 – 1945: Deravá hegemónia.“ Ako fungovala nacistická kultúrna diplomacia? Čo boli hlavné „prevodné páky“ v systéme kolaborácie s nacistami v kultúrnej oblasti? A možno hovoriť o rezistencii voči nemeckému tlaku? Historička Agáta Šústová Drelová sa rozprávala s historikom a germanistom Miloslavom Szabóom, z Katedry germanistiky, nederlandistiky a nordistiky na Filozofickej fakulte Univerzity Komenského. Vo svojom výskume sa zaoberá najmä dejinami antisemitizmu a katolicizmu na Slovensku a v Rakúsku v 19. a 20. storočí. Je autorom niekoľkých monografií a desiatok odborných štúdií doma i v zahraničí. Okrem dobre známej knihy Klérofašisti, najnovšie publikoval na tému fašizácie kresťanského nacionalizmu a sociálneho katolicizmu na Slovensku v rokoch 1939 – 1942.
