Y'all ever see that movie where a boy ninja schemes up a mass shooting at a drive-in with a bevy of 70s babes and souped up sports cars? Oh, maybe that was actually three different movies. Maybe the three we're reviewing this week. Up first! It's our debut exposure to Watari, famed Ninja Boy, a storied and legendary figure in Japanese fiction. Or at least it seems he should be? It's 1966 Watari, the Ninja Boy, from Toei! It's the one with the giant housecat decapitation sequence. Next up! We head on over to Reseda with Boris Karloff to catch a flick at the old drive in, with Peter Bogdonavich's debut feature Targets (from 1968). Sure, we're living in the midst of Vietnam era angst and social turmoil, but nothing could go wrong, right? Finally! Of course, it's 2007's Death Proof, featuring the most feminine footwork this side of a Cynthia Rothrock vehicle. And twice the vehicular homicides! All this plus Parker's mysterious future, JFD's Farts & Arts Corner, hard to nail down EC comics, the Horchata flavor revolution, a Peen on Screen news update, a Peen on Waffles news update, "Die Now Having Prospered", Parker Bowman is Poster Blowout, "Don't", nerd news and even more! Put on your tinfoil hats and swing away! Parker Bowman of the long-running podcast Junk Food Dinner joins me to talk about M. Night Shyamalan's 2002 blockbuster Signs starring Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix. We discuss the fascinating-if-checkered career trajectories of the movie's director and controversial star, the power of quiet and minimalism in building suspense, aliens as metaphorical (and possibly literal) demons, downloading pre-release bootlegs in the early days of internet file sharing, and much, much more!
Kevin's goofing off this week at his annual Bostonian Birthday Bash, so we reached out to the one and only (hatless) Jackson Stewart (of Beyond the Gates renown!) to fill in while we chat about three killer classics. Up first! It's Sam Peckinpah's classic revisionist western The Wild Bunch, from 1969! A band of outdated outlaws spill sweat and blood in equal parts into the Mexican desert, and boy has it never looked so danged gorgeous. But will grandpa-skeptic Parker Bowman dig these cowboys? Next up! Clint Eastwood stars and directs (for the first time!) with Play Misty For Me (from 1971)! A suspenseful psychosexual 70s thriller set up in the Big Sur region of Central California, some critics (on this podcast) have noted the bizarre haircuts of the leading actors as worth taking notice of. Finally! Of course, it's 1993's Arcade, because Parker's obsession with VR-based content continues, even when it's produced by Full Moon Pictures. All this plus cutting it up with the boys, vintage wallpapers, a podcaster's fatal fate, the return of Nightmare Fede, a vampiric inquiry, sun-bronzed beach boy (not beach bum) bonanzas, Don Siegel sidebars, bad VR, a check-in with the junkmailers, virtual Kevin, your winning numbers, nerd news and even more! Episode Six Hundred? That's a long time podcasting. But episode Sex Hundred? That's a schlongtime podcasting. Join us this week as we celebrate this important milestone the only way we know how: by reviewing three pornographic films! On top of that, we'll also be running down our Top 5 favorite movie-watches of the past year. Happy Nude Year, junkies! Up first! It's 1977's proto-slasher slash bonerjam A Woman's Torment, an erotic favorite for those who are attracted to women crying in showers. Directed by hardcore feminist Roberta Findlay, this skinflick isn't satisfied with removing mere clothing from human bodies. But is that really what we wanted at this time of year? Next up! Those wacky college boys sure do know how to party, huh? It's your dad's favorite UCLA-set coming-of-age flick, Natural Lamporn's Frat House (from 1979). Sure, the plot construction is weak, but these pranksters are horny as heck. Finally! Of course, it's 1986's The Devil in Miss Jones 4: The Final Outrage, our long-awaited dissection of this important entry in this landmark series of fuckfilms. As with the last entry, this one's directed by Gregory Dark and features more punkrock hairstyles than you can shake your stick at. But will we possibly remember the important plot details for a movie which we last reviewed a full eight years prior? All this plus our baby boy Byron's all grown up, droppin' triple Oh's, Kevin's ability to memorize spells is in question, Christmas Hauls chats, addin' movies to the Junk Yard, exactly one JFD host remains opposed to Letterboxd, Parker Bowman reveals his true feelings on David Lynch, Quaid-blamin', a star-studded Junkmail section, the lingering echoes of off-mic sneezes, chocolate speedways, corpulent Corpus Christi cabbies copulating, the scent of wildflowers, nerd news and even more! Holy smokes! It's that time of year again?! And we're ACTUALLY DOING IT THIS TIME?!!@ You got that right, pal. Buckle up, we're ghoul-summering this week! This year's Ghoul Summer made possible by the DuPont Chemical Corporation and listeners like you. You and DuPont: there's a lot of good chemistry between us! BUY A GHOUL SUMMER SHIRT HERE! Up first! It's 1992's Man Bites Dog, a black & white Belgian pseudo-documentary/comedy ... from the Criterion Collection? Did we get that right? Well, since it's comedically pseudo-documenting the horrific day-to-day exploits of a serial killer, it definitely counts! Laugh along with us until we recoil in disgust. Next up! There's only ONE filmmaker that Parker Bowman is willing to pledge lifelong Ghoul Summer allegiance, but until now he's been officially banned from selecting one of that filmmaker's finest films. That filmmaker, of course, is Bill Zebub, and the film is Antfarm Dickhole (from 2011), and since the guy who banned Parker from picking it is now a ghost, all bets are off. Will we be charmed by these ants or these dickholes? Finally! Of course, it's 2012's The Act of Killing, that documentary where the real-world perpertrators of the Indonesian genocide recreate their heinous crimes decades later for the delight of a pervese British man. Also on Criterion!! All this plus a ghoul winter proposal, a lightning round of topics, the high price of 'Hired Stud, Will Travel', Parker's extracuricular ghouldom, multiple Toms, funky triple-x, repeat business, the sadness of Kevin, anteater effects, chemical mishaps, podcasting crossovers, a t-shirt for the ages, Peter Pan: Dick Magnet, here comes Parker with the giggles again, taro-flavored ultra-milk, all of the segments played exactly one time, ethical quandries, nerd news and even more! Hey there! Remember that time we all learned about the birds and the bees from Howie Mandel, Jim Henson, and a pigeon with a really large rodney? Neither do we, but it sounds like a short, sweet dream. Find out what sorta sexual maneuvers we'd have pulled together in this hypothetical scenario when you donloyd and listen now! It's short films week! Up first! It's 1975's Muppet Show: Sex and Violence! The second of two television pilots produced by Jim Henson for ABC leading up to the production of his weekly showcase of technical muppetry, this 30-minute special is one of the few Muppet Shows not currently steamable on Disney+! Listen along as we try to convince Kevin the value of physical media by showing him these DVD-based pixels of Sam the Eagle and Floyd the Musician. Next up! There's very little in the way of visually appealing animation and absolutely no technically competent muppetry in 1985's Where Did I Come From?, but that can't stop us from reviewing it. It's a Burbank Animation Studios production, after-all, and Parker Bowman's got priorities when it comes to enjoying every instance of Howie Mandel narrating cartoons about the development of human fuckstyles. Come for the pubes, stay for the public education! Finally! Of course, it's 2011's Bobby Yeah. We weren't too familiar before this week with the bizarre work of stop-motion animator Robert Morgan, but will that change going forward? Is he now one of our dudes? Watch along with this twisted tale of a bunny-like boy being tormented by demonic creatures (we think?) and find out alongside us! All this plus spice racks a plenty, the 1970s Disney Live Action revue, Kevin sparks one up at the cinema, remembering the Dodgers & the Mets, the JFD postcard invitational, Bollywood Bonanza, Kevin's hooked on streamers, technical fucketry, muppet plans for nigel, Kevin's very special Sex Ed story (featuring a real-life sexpert), pizza face guy on the wall with extremely realistic eyeballs, a playful sense of podcasting chronology, the sound of one drum exploding, nerd news and even more! Hey there! Remember that time we all ran away to the big city to play golf and exorcize teenagers? Neither do we, but it sounds like a sweet dream. Find out what sorta BMX tricks we'd have pulled together in this hypothetical scenario when you donloyd and listen now! Up first! It's 1980's Times Square! The third film in Kevin Moss's continuing series exploring the runaway teenagers of the 1980s, this one's got marquees-a-plenty and a supporting turn by Tim Curry portraying none other than Johnny LaGuardia, famed fictional NYC radio DJ. The soundtrack's chock full of bangers from top to bottom, but does the movie thrill us? !Next up! There's very little exorcism and absolutely no teenagers in 1991's Teenage Exorcist, but that can't stop us from reviewing it. It's a Fred Olen Ray production, after-all, and Parker Bowman's got priorities when it comes to enjoying every instance of a leather bikini-clad Brinke Stevens whipping Eddie Deezen in a demonic basement scenario. Finally! Of course, it's 2004's 3-Iron (aka Bin Jip). It's the Korean romance film that you just KNEW we'd review some day - and the day is here. Is it a Sean pick, though, or does it not feature any baffling stretches of surreal silence? Is it even about golf? All this plus the trouble with cicadas, a cricket's jihad, Kevin wants his classic Jughead doll, a weirder looking dude than Paul Giamatti, being unfair to Jim Van Bebber, casting out demons on Skype, Siskel v Ebert: a heavyweight title match, extended musical interludes, nerd news and even more! We hope y'all been practicing yer funnies out there, because this week, we're joined by none other than the internet's funniest man, Shelby Lermo! Check out his awesome new stuff he's been working on here. Up first! In the begining, god created man. But sometime shortly after, Monty Python created Brian. You know, that tan-colored movie your grandpa used to chuckle at while you tried to figure out what the hell people were saying? Well, listen to your favorite internet grandpas discuss this seminal British sketch film. Will Parker quit the show in disgust over his hatred for Monty Python? It's just one of the many mysteries of Monty Python's Life of Brian, from 1979! Here's the link on YouTube!Next up! Y'all remember the 80's? Unless you headbanged your way into a coma, you probably remember those Spinal Tap lads who skewered hard rock & roll music with their own biting form of Americanized satirization. But did you know the Brits got there first? It's true, and we'll talk all about it as we review Bad News Tour, from 1983! and the sequel, More Bad News, from 1988! Starring the cast of The Young Ones! And here's the link on YouTube! Finally! Of course, it's 1996's Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy. Stop everything you are doing! Except for reading this, which you'll need to continue to do so that we can tell you about this INCREDIBLE PODCAST EPISODE! Or, if you've already stopped reading: just donloyd and listen along as we review three short films. You'll love the surprise! Up first! Y'all remember that popular singer Cher? Y'all remember Cher... and Other Fantasies from 1979? It's okay, nobody does or probably should. But there's some surprising reasons why we've picked it for the show, and we know that you, potentially-still-reading reader, love surprises.Next up! Rock out with your Busch out, as we jump the bownes of 1986's bitchin' Heavy Metal Parking Lot, a fly-on-the-pavement chronicling of a typical Saturday night in Maryland: complete with acid casualty teens, wasted youths, and non-consensual full-body air guitar. Come for the Zebraman, stay for the silent bearded thumbs-up fella. Finally! It's a third short film! Ever feel like ya wanna escape the walking hellscape we currently inhabit in modern times in the western world, but it's still Schlocktober and ya gotta get Halloween-y? Good news, beleaguered Junk Food Junkies! You can take a trip with us to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away: East Asia, circa 1980 through 2001! It's our SPOOKY ASIA theme show! First up, we follow up the fun we had way back when with Mr. Vampire (1985) by digging even deeper into the Chinese Hopping Vampire well by watching the trend-setting early Hong Kong horror/comedy, Encounters of the Spooky Kind (aka Spooky Encounters), from 1980! Everybody's favorite, fattest dragon, Sammo Hung wages war against hopping vampires and marital infidelities in this prototypical Jiangshi flick, but what's the the situation with the optically printed special effects? Are they plentiful?Next up! Y'all remember taking vacations, and what that was like? Well, hopefully none of your vacations involved getting on the bad side of an evil wizard from Thailand, or else your life might resemble the plot of The Eternal Evil of Asia, from 1995! Your first indication might be that your head has turned into a penis, as is common with these sort of enchantments. However, will ONE of your charming hosts decide this film is TOO PROBLEMATIC for 2020?! Maybe/sorta. It was a different time/continent.Finally! It's a third movie! But is it a half-Freado?! Just exactly how much spookiness and how much Asia is there to be seen in the well-regarded J-Horror flick from way back 'round the turn of the century, if most of it is just people talking about the internet or looking at muddy pixels? Will one of us call this movie 'Lynchian?' All these questions answered and more, this week only, in our exclusive and 100% free-to-donloyd review of Pulse (aka Kairo, from 2001)!All this plus suntory whiskey, the first cinematic universe in cinema history, is moleman a pejorative?, 遇见甲虫, the profundity of mashed potatoes, disneymongering, alien parties versus familytime, the last cinematic year in cinematic history?, topsy turvy top ten tabulation, wizard sleeves a-gogo, overlong international excursions into the general area of musicality, do they even shoot pictures anymore?, all of the promised Garfield/CAT-III jokes landed on the cutting room floor, safety tips from the scary police, 'wow', the time Sammo Hung fought David Arquette in Parker Bowman's living room in the future, some special Halloween sacks and scraps of cloth, our weekly news plus blu-ray picks and even more! It's a history-making week in more ways than one as we're releasing this week's episode earlier than ever before! Is Sunday even really a part of the week?! Anyhow, we thought this Brian Yunza tribute show was too good to let the apocalypse ruin, and wanted you to hear it before the world ends. Please savor our reviews of three weird & wild flicks from Mr. Yunza for this entire week, or until the human race goes extinct (whichever comes first).Up first! We pull the old switcharoo and highlight one of Brian Yunza's producing (rather than directing) efforts, a perhaps under-appreciate little B-movie (and by that we mean, little bug movie), 1993's Ticks! It's got marijuana themed hijinks, a wild cast including Amy Dolenz, Seth Green, Carlton, and Clint Howard - plus buckets of insectoid gore! Not suggested for squares. Next up! Y'all ever seen 1996's The Dentist? It's a sleazy late night thriller sort of affair with Corbin Bernsen as a Beverly Hills dentist gone postal. You might be surprised at the amount of gore scenes you can fit into a dentist's office. Keep your eyes peeled for character actor Earl Boen! Finally! It's a third film: Faust: Love of the Damned, from the year 2000. An intense, high-energy, heavy-metal themed dark/edgy take on the superhero world, this low budget Spanish production appeals primarily to the Parker Bowman demographic. All this plus YOUR regularly scheduled Cactus League Baseball / Minor League Hockey / Mick Foley update, Kevin's gone Invisible, speaking of marks, the dirt on Dublin Dr Pepper, a classic assortment of Junkmailers, ruthless metal straw slander, did we mention there's a coronavirus?, buggin' out at the Skyline, our weekly news plus Blu-ray Picks and even more! Your Thanksgiving might be winding down, but your WICKSGIVING is just getting started! Join your podcast pals on the run as we punch, kick and stab our way through this spiritual successor to Cranksgiving! Featuring more Keanu than ever before! Up first! We start at the only sane, logical, or respectable place to start: John Wick, from 2014. Keanu Reeves is John Wick, and if you forget his name, don't worry, every character in the film will say it every time he appears. And when he does appear, he'll probably be shooting those characters right in the face, since he's a ruthless assassin hunting down the criminals who killed his dog. Also, cars are crashed. Next up! We flash all the way to 2017, where the filmmakers got the gumption to throw together a little sequel called John Wick: Chapter 2. This time, Wick's on the run, or something. And the action set pieces are bigger! Is that better? Finally! It's a third film: John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, from this very year. New locations, Game of Thrones actors, and Anjelica Huston and eye-gouging gore sequences are added to the mix. But how steamy do things get? Does Keanu do sex? Donloyd now to find out. All this plus a look back at the Wick That Was, mixing & matching our wicks & cranks, we reveal which of the hosts cried during Jojo Rabbit, the most important review of an Elvira pinball table this side of Pinball Enthusiast magazine, a run-down of which Thanksgiving side dishes do and don't have marshmallows, (Freedom of) Pie of Choice, Parker risks life/limb/imprisonment for his art, the intricate politics of modern theatrical film distribution, speculation on the future for the 1948 Paramount Consent Decrees legal standing, left hangin' on the Milky Way Midnight tip, Parker Bowman is genetically predisposed to echoing on Skype, our Wickly news plus Blu-ray Picks and even more! This week, we're righting wrongs and saluting our patrons - that's right, it's your monthly Dom Deluise Club theme show, where we review three movies chosen by our listeners!Up first! It's last of the UPA/Toho collaborations, and the first/only semi-sequel to Frankenstein Conquers the World - of course, we're talking about 1966's War of the Gargantuas, the bizarre double-Frankenstein-themed kaiju (giant monster) feature from director Ishirō Honda (of original Godzilla fame). And you thought that original Mothra movie was weird! Shout-out to Kevin E for suggesting it! Next up! Eagle-eared and sharp-minded podcast listeners might recall a legendary gaffe made in the earliest days of this historic podcast, in which intrepid purveyor of film criticism Parker Bowman accidentally watched the wrong movie named Things, back on episode #87 (LISTEN HERE). So, this week Kevin and Sean will be reviewing Things from 1993, and Parker will finally get to share his musings on the 1989 Barry Gillis classic. Thanks Evan G for the suggestion! Finally! It's a third film: Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009), which is one of those flesh-eating-bacteria-in-bottled-water-slowly-melts-the-occupants-of-a-highschool films. You know the type. The real goopy ones. And check out that soundtrack! Directed by Ti West, who tried (and failed) to Alan Smithee this joint. Kudos to Justin for sending it our way! All this plus more Dave Chappelle chat, alley-way film screenings, righting all the wrongs, revelations about Kevin Moss's text-messaging proficiency, fact-checking Dolemite biopic location accuracy, racist cat names, taking out the 'u', the tricky politics of modern film distribution, our weekly news plus Blu-ray Picks and even more! This week, we kick off the Summer of Sam (Raimi, that is)! So pack up the Oldsmobile and groove along with us to some classic jams from the slapstick indie genre darling of our youths!Up first! It's the semi-forgotten feature that Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell put together shortly after The Evil Dead and before its first sequel. Not a horror film, but more of a slapstick comedy slash film noir parody slash Looney Tunes live-action tribute slash murder mystery slash action movie, or something. Of course, we're talking about 1985's Crimewave, which by the way features a meaty role for character acting legend Brion James. Next up! It's Old Sam's take on Universal Monsters and Golden Age Superheroes, with a dash of Mission Impossible thrown in for fun. We're chatting of course about 1990's Darkman, the one about the guy with the burned face and the masks. Finally! It's a third movie: Army of Darkness, the 1992 feature that you might have heard a thing or two about. It's the final Evil Dead movie ever made or associated with that franchise, and once again stars Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams. But does it feature any deadites? All this plus for the love of old men, a Dave Chappelle update, a Bushwick Bill in memoriam, Kevin Moss reveals some Halloween staples in his house, no steamed hams (this time), a Ghoul Summer update in the form of an unsettling health update, a semi-ardent Švankmajer supporter, a steamin' heap of junkmail, Swamp Thing was a thing?, Parker claims there are too many DC Superhero movies being released, Parker Bowman tells us how he really feels about Steven Spielberg, we're sorry to Massacre Video for goofing on a movie they're releasing, the kinds of crime that Parker's into, our weekly news plus Blu-ray Picks! Don't be too slow, Junk Food Junkies!! You gotta go fast with Sonic, Dario, Kevin, Rusty, Parker, Sean, Oliver and the gang! It's a wild and weird PATREON-Picked episode this week! Up first! Way back in the pre-9/11 days of yore, there was a movie called The Devils from 1971. A surprisingly high quotient of naked nuns (including Vanessa Redgrave) get mixed up in a plot to banish high-priest (Oliver Reed) from the church, and commit loads of sexual blasphemies along the way. Considering what really happens in real-world Christianity [note: 1], this is considered by some [note: 2] to be a refreshingly optimistic take on the church. Thanks to Chris B for picking it! [note 1: child rape; note 2: parker bowman] Next up! It's the rarely-discussed 1982 (or 80-something, at least) Canadian (or Canadian-American, at least) semi-slasher Superstition, (or The Witch, sometimes). It's a movie we've watched and you'll hear about it. I can tell you this now: it's got some killer kill scenes. The rest is maybe a blur already. Thanks to Andreas for picking it! Finally! It's a third movie: Opera, the 1987 feature from famed Italian horror master Dario Argento. This is one everyone's been requesting for just about forever, so let us just say we're very sorry. Thanks to Luke/Josh for picking it! All this plus perhaps too much discussion of the last episode of Game of Thrones, a surprising lack of Sonic trailer reactions, Avengers Endgame stuff, oversized book confessions, trading some times, oh: Blob Zombie?, a summary of British basketball players historical and current, more Avengers Endgame stuff, a Parker Bowman cosplay update, police humor, Sean thought she was suckin' on it, Free Dummy, our weekly news plus Blu-ray Picks and you're still too slow! What happens when three dishelved, irritated podcasters are trapped in a never-ending episode of Junk Food Dinner filled with trap-like technical issues, without even the calming professionalism of Kevin Moss (out on vacation, presumably in Boston)? Well, the results are here and they're not pretty. At least we've got the talents of professional podcaster Mike Dikk (of Cigarette News, Retro Food Ghoul, VRTL Pros, Kissing Contest, and Border Boss fame) to compensate for all of the computer-based failures this Escape-ril episode contains. Oh, and the movies? We kick off the first ever Escape-ril in the only ways that make any sense at all: with the first entries of the Cube, Saw, and Collector franchises! Help us break free by donloyding now!! Up first! A perhaps undersung gem of the torture-porn subgenre of horror flicks, or just some cheap Canadian sleaze? We take a look at CUBE from 1997! Next up! Somehow Kevin Moss has escaped our review of the much-discussed but never-reviewed SAW from 2004! Finally! Mike Dikk brings us THE COLLECTOR, a Saw-like film from 2009, for reasons he'll explain very clearly! All this plus another charmingly ramshackle introduction by amateur podcaster Parker Bowman, an immediate call-out of Kevin Moss and his sleepiness status, seasonal baseball chat from your favorite American podcasters, lots of theories and musings as to why Kevin is averse to Saw films, we read actual electronic mails with our eyeballs, Parker revealingly describes two boobs as "less than average", Sean's new catchphrase "that's not spaghetti!", unprecedented levels of technical difficulties, a modicum of wrestlechats (including requests for dead wrestlers), oh man this technology is getting difficult with us, Redbox reportage, Mike identifies his other podcasts by name and describes their content in general terms, Parker continues to avoid Ulthar's transnational touring company, god damnit this audio is broken, aliens versus cubes, the early strangulation death of John-o (is it Jon-oh?), Parker declares the reverse bear trap in Saw "the coolest fucking shit in the world", Sean literally curses this episode by complaining about the audio quality on Mike's own Saw podcast episode (or maybe it's Saw itself that is cursing us??), minor-key nose whistling, our weekly news plus Blu-ray Picks and a whole lot more! The only logical conclusion to our thrilling month of Science Fiction based podcasting is precisely what will be delivered to you this week, in the form of this: a Robot Theme Show. Let's get metallic! Up first! Way back in the pre-9/11 days of yore, there was a movie called Forbidden Planet from 1956. It had a Brown-haired Leslie Nielsen, and strange sexual politics, and you were there, and you were there, and you were there... Next up! It's 1965's Dr. Goldfoot and Bikini Machine, a movie with a title so implausible only AIP could've produced it. And would you believe that your charming hosts argue about whether or not it's a sci-fi film? Feat Vinnie Price, Frank Avalon, babes. Finally! It's a third movie: Brain 17, which probably you ain't heard of, but maybe you've heard of it's bigger brother Daitetsujin 17. This 1982 feature is a recut of an earlier 1977 Toei-produced TV series, and features a whole horde of cheaply made Japanese giant robots tripping over themselves/cities. Who are the real monsters? It might be the dub voice actors. All this plus Parker's journalistic prowess reaps rewards, Sean stereotypes the local Japanese population, Parker's computer makes Windows sounds on the recording now and there's nothing on earth that can stop it, a really wild amount of dishwashing ambience, yet another one of those nights where Sean contemplates how he's wasted his life, more good recommendations from The Fallen One, seriously there's a whole ambient noise backstory going on in this episode and the entire plotline of it is centered around pot-scrubbing, an animated series based on your favorite Mogwai-based horror franchise, Feldmanspotting, should Gene Simmons fornicate a replicant in an arena?, Parker makes a home video selection blunder that leads to a classic disrespect situation, Kevin calls a movie a Drive-In Classic, for sure something is getting broken in the background noise there - like a window maybe - who knows?, Sean gets two movies mixed up in his mind, more mouse clicking noises than normal from reasons that remain largely mysterious, the insane outer-space sexual politics (of outer space!), restrictive pornography laws aboard space-cruises for space-men, Parker declares a movie should be 10 to 15 minutes shorter, shoe-horned garage-rock black-face bands, Parker Bowman falls in love with Frankie Avalon, teen wolf has nards, "suddenly: one year later", fake spy beards, our weekly news plus Blu-ray Picks and a whole lot more! For this episode, Rachel asks a simple question about movie theaters in Chicago and Dawn provides her with an overly comprehensive summary, we apologize. Also, she finally saw Wonder Woman…3 months late. We have a new guest, Parker Bowman of the popular podcast(s) Junk Food Dinner and >Pool Party Radio. Rachel shares her utmost disgust for the episode’s behavior toward sarcophagi and we spend a good amount of time questioning why there are so many rugs available at this site and why everyone is dressed like the color of sand. Moreover, we’re all kind of sad that this episode has a lot more allusions to mummies than actual SpoOOky mummies. Enjoy!
