After the completion of World War 2, the nations of the world polarize into an ideological standoff. The existence of atomic bombs changes the geopolitical realities of governments and warfare. The threat of nuclear annihilation smolders for the decades of the Cold War, and the nations of the West struggle to create lasting world peace. The Atomic Bomb podcast describes the history leading to the discovery of the atomic bomb, as well as its role in World War 2. We also examine the science behind the understanding of the atomic nucleus, how it enables the release of atomic energy, as well as the design and function of nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons. We follow the stories of some of the scientists involved – their discoveries, tragedies, and adventures. Lastly, we consider the geopolitical impact that nuclear weapons have made on the world.Credits and Licensing Information:Written, presented, and edited by Lane VotapkaAdditional edits by Gary VotapkaOriginal logo and banner by Inova Enterprise. If you enjoyed this podcast, please consider subscribing or making a donation at https://buymeacoffee.com/lvotapka or by engaging in discussions at my Thinkspot page: https://www.thinkspot.com/forum_type/lane-votapka/author/4WtDOo/author/4WtDOo.Music:"Americana", “Black Vortex”, “Crusade”, “Eastern Thought”, “Egmont Overture”, “Evening Melodrama”, “Fanfare for Space”, “Five Armies”, “Full On”, “Gaslamp Funworks”, “Gregorian Chant”, “Hero Down”, “Industrial Revolution”, “Oppressive Gloom”, “Return of Lazarus”, “Stormfront”, “Tempting Secrets”, “The Descent”, “The Pyre”, “The Sky of Our Ancestors”, “Thunderbird”, “Unlight” by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Sound Effects:“Atomic Explosion and Sub Rumble”GowlerMusic (https://freesound.org/s/265459/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Radio Noise 2”ERH (https://freesound.org/s/30335/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Super 8 mm projector”Eelke (https://freesound.org/s/256647/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Bullroarer Flyby”Benboncan (https://freesound.org/s/91384/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Windy farming land NL 160310_0872”klankbeeld (https://freesound.org/s/339699/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Bf-109 Flyby”Fight2FlyPhoto (https://freesound.org/s/143558/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“ModelAHorn”daveincamas (https://freesound.org/s/43801/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Geiger Counter”johnnythesalesman (https://freesound.org/s/423291/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Applause 1”FunWithSound (https://freesound.org/s/381355/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Gun-Pistol(one shot)”Shades (https://freesound.org/s/37236/)Licensed under Creative Commons: Sampling Plus 1.0 Licensehttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/sampling+/1.0/legalcode“Crowd Screaming, A”InspectorJ (https://freesound.org/s/421852/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“Alien Breath 2”FiveBrosStopMosYT (https://freesound.org/s/537023/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“hissing_gas”Taberius (https://freesound.org/s/327534/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“dot matrix printer”azumarill (https://freesound.org/s/485468/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode“thunder”xerana (https://freesound.org/s/199638/)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode

The nations of the world mobilize, and the Great War (World War 1) breaks out – and the science of mass, industrialized killing is perfected. The subject of chemistry is wielded by Fritz Haber to make poison gas. After the Great War, the bitterness of defeat sows the seeds for another world war, and young Adolf Hitler forms his ideology. The Atomic Bomb podcast describes the history leading to the discovery of the atomic bomb, as well as its role in World War 2. In the middle of the 20th century, the combination of scientific brilliance and a globe-spanning war produced weapons so powerful that a single bomb could flatten an entire city. The origin of this technology takes us back into history, to Leo Szilard's first conception of a nuclear chain reaction, and even further back, when scientists weren't sure whether atoms even existed. Once atoms, and all their various parts, were discovered, great scientists like Ernest Rutherford, JJ Thompson, Niels Bohr, and Albert Einstein peeled back layers of the mysteries of the atomic and subatomic realm to reveal the immense energy that lies within. This new project is set to raise the bar on Wehbba’s discography, by displaying even more of his versatility and musicality, including an appearance from Jon Dixon and D’Sean Jones, 2/3 of the Detroit group D3, part of the legendary Underground Resistance collective, aside from many dancefloor oriented tracks, that could all make up for singles themselves. Besides having played most legendary clubs and festivals in his homeland, such as ID&T’s Skol Sensation, Lollapalooza, D-Edge, Pacha, Vibe, Anzu, Deputamadre, Lov.e, Manga Rosa, Skol Beats, Chemical Festival, XXXPerience, Rio Music Conference, Triblatech, Dream Valley and plenty of others, Wehbba has been a regular in some of the hottest clubs and parties around the globe, like Ministry Of Sound/UK, Creamfields/CZ, UMF/USA, Vision/JP, Rex/FR, Fabrik/ES, Florida135/ES, Klubbers Day/ES, Techno Parade/FR, Cat & Dog/IL, Club4/ES, Camera Club/AT, Sonar/ES, Crobar/AR, 360º/UAE, Westerunie/NL, and hundreds more. Wehba is also a host to 2 monthly radio shows. ‘Sound Perspective’, a personal podcast broadcasted on Digitally Imported (di.fm) and on Amsterdam’s hot club Studio80′s radio station, also distributed via iTunes, and ‘Tronic Radio’, distributed to over 50 radio stations worldwide, in partnership with regular host Christian Smith.

Pioneer "is one that first opens or discover paths through unknown regions." The career of DJ and producer Anderson Noise is a pioneer in electronic music from Brazil. Born in Belo Horizonte, Noise started slowly, as is the custom in his region, but never stopped to take some steps toward success. In 1988, during the explosion of Acid House, started DJing in his hometown. Passionate about the profession, he often said that the role of DJ is move people. Followed by producing their own events from 1992, making room in the state capital for the proliferation of the electronic scene, still embryonic in place. There were more than 40 parties produced, many in places like mental hospitals, shopping malls, car dealerships and historic buildings. The "Noise Family" became an institution, since in the event not only Anderson was involved. Mamma Noise, the mother of the DJ in person, was the hostess of the parties. Later Alvinho L Noise was excited with the turntables and boiled the dance floor next to his brother. His first CD compilation, "Paralisia Cerebral"was released in 1996, while the dream of producing his own music became reality in the talented hands of Noise. In 1997 he was invited to include "Shantytown" in the "Electronic Music Brazil" the first CD of 100% national of the genre, released by Sony-Mercado Mundo Mix. Without fear of expanding his horizons, Noise promoted the first trio elétrico "Truck with a mobile sound system" with electronic music in 1999 in Carnabelô Carnival out of season Mineiro, and became mandatory attendance in subsequent years. Without knowing it, acquiring the experience to face an even greater challenge playing on electric trio of singer Daniela Mercury, during Carnival in Salvador in 2002. The DJ stand for something besides records, awards, won in 97 "Distinction Underground" by the magazine "DJ Sound." Both times that this category existed in the award, Anderson was the winner. Are there trophies for best producer and best DJ of techno music for the prize "Night Illustrated" Erika Palomino from the newspaper "Folha de Sao Paulo"; Sparks Trophies, prize won in 3 consecutive years, offered by the newspaper "O Estado Mine "for those who waved the mining scene, so that Anderson had turned into hors-concours. In the year 2003 was highlighted by Cool Awards, awards, in 2004, gave the award for best DJ. Anderson's career as a DJ and producer went from strength to strength. He participated in all major national events. At the festival Skol Beats was present in all editions since the first, ending the 2003 edition of apotheosis. Also participating in the electronic music tent at Rock In Rio in 2000. That was the year that his second compilation CD called "Outubro", with some tracks produced by his label "Noise Music". The label started in 1999 with the intention of bringing the world the music produced here, as in his words: "We always bought the music and the gringos gringos do not have any of our. It was music quality produced in Brazil to show to the world. " In 2001 he became a resident of the night Headstart at Turnmills club in London, integrating a select group of Brazilian DJs that arose in the pool. While playing outside of Brazil shared the stage with great international names who came to the country. One is impressed with the quality of mining and DJ led out into the world. Carl Cox, one of the best DJs in the world, was impressed with the strength of Anderson Noise the first time they played in Brazil: "Anderson is very talented. He played with me a few times before, sometimes after. He also has his own label, Noise Music. They're good - too good to ignore. "In the 2001 copy of the" 2001 TOP 100 DJ Mag ", Cox classified Anderson as the future" DJ Hero. " His third CD compilation came out in 2002 to please the Brazilian public. "Noisemusic Compilation 100% Mix Anderson Noise" was released by a major label, bringing all the songs the label Noise Music mixed by Anderson an awesome set list. The album was well received in Brazil and abroad, to the point of calling the attention of Trevor Rockcliffe, owner of Mentor, respected British label, who heard the material and just wanted to release "Do It Yourself" by his label. Noise was also 2002 that launched his radio show, RADIO NOISE, hosted on your site, with weekly programs. In 2003, Anderson was invited by DJ Magazine, one of the worlds most respected publication dedicated to electronic music for his fourth CD, "DJ World Series - Anderson Noise." Rod B, Mareis & Garfunk Brings you Miami Undeground Movement - A true force to be reckoned with as a DJ and producer, Nicole Moudaber’s rise through the ranks of the DJ elite has been swift, purposeful and striking. Propelled by her flawlessly executed, sleazy, edgy house and tough, soulful techno sound, she picked up no less than Carl Cox and Steve Lawler as early fans.  Carl snapped up her early tracks for INTEC and Steve featured her music on VIVa & iVAV.  Since then she’s supplied killer tracks for labels like 8Sided Dice, Kling Klong, Monique Musique and Waveform Recordings, while remixing names including Santos, Martin Eyer, Mauro Picotto and Fergie. Pretty much a perfect start to an artist career that began relatively recently. Hitting New York after a youth spent in Africa and the Middle East, Nicole initially explored her passion for electronic music as a promoter, bringing the NYC style parties she loved to Beirut for the first time, then booking huge acts for her Soundworx nights at London’s legendary Turnmills club and running Southeast Recordings.  But it was the decision to dive in and start to DJ and make music herself that was proven the most important. Once she unleashed her creativity, everything simply went ‘boom’.  Carl Cox identified her as exactly the kind of fresh talent he wanted to playing at his weekly nights at Space in Ibiza, where Nicole has since DJed regularly alongside him for the last 3 seasons. Requests for guest mixes on both Carl and John Digweed’s internationally syndicated radio shows followed, as did the endorsement of Pete Tong, who named Nicole a rising star on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Selection. Her tracks picked up the support of yet more DJ royalty like Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice and Danny Tenaglia, who was so impressed when he DJed with Nicole that the two of them have been working together both in the studio and on throwing an incredible outdoor party at Ushuaia in Ibiza. With further residencies in Ibiza - the place she now calls home – and Cologne, plus recent high profile gigs at Ministry of Sound and the SW4 festival in London plus the Dance.Here.Now Festival in New York, her reputation for groovy main room mastery has really taken hold. Meanwhile plans for a launching a label of her own, plus a mix and tour for the hugely influential Global Underground series are all under way.
