A FEW days have passed since Oleksandr Usyk repeated his September 2021 victory over Anthony Joshua, again on points. There is plenty to consider, not least the performance of Usyk, the brilliance of which was lost somewhat when Joshua made his by now infamous post-fight address. We explore the mental fortitude exhibited by Usyk alongside his obvious boxing skill, and explain why Joshua was always gong to be up against it when faced with this version of the Ukrainian. There is a more considered view of Joshua's own performance, both during the fight and afterwards, as we attempt to explain what makes a fighter and celebrity like Joshua almost impossible empathise with. And of course we focus on what comes next for both fighters as Tyson Fury (yet again) teases the possibility of a return. There's a crackerjack of a contest in 'This Week' as we go back to 1981, and the night that Salvador Sanchez turned back the challenge of the formidable Wilfredo Gomez.

Andrew Cuomo resigned! Praise be. We discuss the accusations against him and what (if any) the implications are for the #metoo movement going forward. Just another prominent public figure being held slightly accountable for years of bad behavior, we love to see it. We also address whether there's hypocrisy in this instance on the Democratic side, but since we don't see Republicans calling for the resignation or even accountability for of Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, Madison Cawthorn and the orange man (Trump), the charge of broad scale hypocrisy on this issue doesn't seem to hold water. As each day goes by, there seem to be more questions than answers. What happened inside of a Costco in Corona last Friday night that led up to an off-duty LAPD officer shooting and killing a man with mental disabilities? He also gravely injured the man's parents. Everyone seems to acknowledge that there was some kind of confrontation between Kenneth French, a 32-year-old man who was "non-verbal," and the off-duty officer from LAPD's Southwest Division--The LA Times ID's him as Salvador Sanchez-- who was holding his 18-month-old son at the time. While the stories divulge from that point, the results were indisputable: the officer fired off several rounds, that killed French and badly wounded his parents. We will get both sides of this story from the attorneys involved as we go In Depth. LAUSD's School Board wants to stop random weapons searches of students. Student activists argue the weapons searches are ineffective and disrespectful........and the School Board seems to agree. Also, can the words you post on Facebook predict diseases you may get ? A surprising new study raising some surprising new questions. And Avengers: Endgame is going back in theaters with a pretty straight forward goal: beat Avatar. Trainer Eddy Reynoso insists that Saul Canelo Alvarez will one day be the #1 Mexican fighter ever when he retires from the sport. Right now, it’s still too early to consider Canelo anything more than just a good fighter. Alvarez didn’t look good in his last fight against IBF middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs. Likewise, Canelo’s two matches against Gennady Golovkin were highly controversial, and not the type fights that one would consider for an all-time #1 Mexican boxing great. When you compare how Canelo fought against GGG to how Mexican legend Salvador Sanchez dealt with Wilfredo Gomez, Ruben Castillo and Azumah Nelson, there’s no comparison. Sanchez was an incredible fighter.“What if Canelo is among the top 10 fighters that Mexico has given? The day you retire will be the best!” Eddy Reynoso said on his social media site.Canelo, 28, is considered the face of boxing by his promoters at Golden Boy Promotions. But whether Canelo will be the #1 Mexican boxer of all time when he finishes his career is uncertain. Past greats like Julio Cesar Chavez and Salvador Sanchez are hard to ignore. These are the Mexican fighters that Canelo will be measured against:– Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.– Salvador Sanchez – Erik Morales– Juan Manuel Marquez– Marco Antonio Barrera– Ruben Olivares– Ricardo Lopez– Oscar De La Hoya– Carlos Zarate– Vincente Salivar– Lupe Pintor– Alfonso Zamora– Mikey Garcia– Daniel Zarogoza– Humberto Gonzalez

Salvador Sanchez and his friend Chris Ortiz made a big move from Austin Texas to Lexington Kentucky to open A Cup of Commonwealth - a premium coffee joint with a pay-it-forward mentality. Through core values and principles, the coffee shop has served as a staple for giving back to the community and creating an atmosphere that attracts all types of creatives. The shop has a wall with hundreds of coffees that were purchased by strangers for anyone who may meet the criteria on the cup, whether this requires doing a Michael Jackson dance or being enrolled in one of the local University classes. They even allow local artists to display their work on the shop walls. Every coffee shop should take some notes from Salvador and Chris.
