We went back to the future on this one! We wanted to celebrate one of our favorite HipHop years since there simply was so much heat. 1994 brought creativity, focus and a large input of music that clearly influenced us as we were in young adulthood at the time. 1994 constantly provides inspiration for us so that's why we wanted to share this special magic for you!!

We took it home with this one. We pushin' through this season of Rona to bring to you our West Coast Edition Ep.  We teamed up with the artist T. Hollis who blessed us with new music and provided us his take of the Jag Life. We cruise through with some new Nipsey x Jay-Z, The Alchemist and West Coast Vets, Blu & Exile. We hit you with some Likwit Junkies, MURS, Reason and new heavy hitters, Pink Siifu & Fly Anakin. Enjoy this somewhat return to normalcy through the West.

We can not think of a more painful way to end this horrible year than us hearing of MF DOOM's passing. He meant so much to many. From his comeback, his wicked rhymes to his villainous identity, DOOM was one of a kind. We wanted to honor Daniel Dumile by sharing with you some known/not-so-well known songs among his vast catalogue. We will revisit the mask in different ways through his work with Madlib (Madvillain), Danger Mouse (DangerDoom) and Czarface to name a few. Beer Making 101 with the Mad Scientist: We taking notes here at Six in the Morning for this ep! The Mad Scientist himself Andres takes us on a journey in beer making! What quarter is it? We are living in unprecedented times so we thought it was appropriate to juggle this political convo some more!! We again needed some help so we have the ringmaster himself, Dr. Stephen Mucher from Bard College on board as the 3rd M.I.C.!! We go back-and-forth on several important topics including our Nation's patriotism, walls, and $$$ with our usual silliness to boot!   As the dust clears and the light begins to shed on the American landscape- we shake the dust off and bring you our mostest bigly and tremendous episode – The Aftermath. It has been a whirlwind of 140 characters madness, alternative facts and a parade of irrational cabinet picks, so what better way to vent than on the show. From the great big red state of Texas- JC takes some time off from being a “professor” at the Univ of Texas-Austin (@jaycee43public ) and joins us once again to console us, enlighten us and share his collection of aliases for He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Mentioned.   Of course, we bring you some dope Hip Hop curated just for this Ep. So sit back, go through the cycle of emotions with us, play the He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Mentioned Drinking game and try to stay away from “danger!” while we figure out what’s next.

  2016 was a mofkr wasn’t it? But you know what, 2016 proved to be another solid year for Hip Hop. We had album after album of heat from the old timers (like us) making a comeback– De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, The Game (well he never really left right?), Common, and Atmosphere.  The lyricists - Kendrick, Ka, Aesop Rock, ElZhi, Homeboy Sandman, and Skyzoo just to name a few. The freshman and the sophomores killed it too Vic Mensa, Domo Genesis, Flat Bush Zombies, Hodgy Beats, Isaiah Rashad, and of course Chance the Rapper. But let us forget not those that make us bob our heads, the Producers- Kaytranada, Knxwledge, L’Orange, Neon Brown, and Apollo Brown (and many more)   But in our humble opinion, the year belonged to one man- grinding for years and now getting his shine- Anderson .Paak  !   We took a minute but we back- so sit back, enjoy and reminisce on 2016 cuz it’s a Rap!

Co-owner Jesus “Chuy” Tovar, recognized by LA Weekly as one of the cities’Most Interesting People for 2016, invited us over for some beers and had aconvo about great food, both here and his home state of Jalisco, Mexico, his growth as a business owner, and of course Hip Hop! This year we said good bye to one of the greatest and most prolific MC's. Legendary Heltha Skeltah, Boot Camp Click and Duck Down Records phenom Sean Price (Ruck). S.E.A.N. left us too soon at age 43 but he didn't leave without leaving behind one of the deepest repertoires of any MC. Sean worked with more artists and producers than we can think of and had one of the most memorable flows in Hip Hop. This episode is our attempt at paying homage to a man who's contribution to the genre is Price-less. RIP Ruck Ruck.
