Chuck And Julie Show with Chuck Bonniwell and Julie Hayden Colorado GOP Shakeup: Craig Steiner, Opt-Out, Party Strategy, and the Road Ahead Guest, Ted Harvey The CO GOP elected a new party chair - Craig Steiner from Douglas County. Supporter Ted Harvey joins the show and assures grassroots Steiner fully backs opting out of the disastrous open primary. Plus Tina Peters is free today! Chuck and Julie Open with Colorado Republican Party News In this episode of The Chuck and Julie Show, hosts Chuck Bonniwell and Julie Hayden open with major news from the Colorado Republican Party. They discuss the party meeting in Buena Vista, where Craig Steiner of Douglas County was elected the new Colorado GOP chair after defeating Joe Oltmann and Jeremy Goodall. The hosts bring on former Colorado legislator and strategist Ted Harvey, who supported Steiner's campaign and helped explain what the leadership change may mean for the party going forward. Ted Harvey Describes Craig Steiner as a Tactician Ted Harvey describes Craig Steiner as a political tactician rather than a loud partisan figure. He explains that Steiner previously served as secretary and chair of the Douglas County Republican Party and created a voter-targeting program called Voter Spectrum, which has been used for get-out-the-vote efforts, door knocking, phone banking, and campaign organizing. Harvey argues that Steiner is strong on conservative issues such as life, guns, taxes, unions, and education, and points to Douglas County victories, including Republican wins and school-board efforts, as evidence that Steiner understands how to organize and win. Ballot Harvesting and Get-Out-the-Vote Strategy Chuck asks about ballot harvesting and whether it will be part of the Colorado GOP's future strategy. He recalls using absentee voting and ballot collection in Glendale years earlier and argues that Republicans have often been outworked by Democrats on this front. Harvey says Douglas County Republicans have used similar tactics successfully, especially in smaller races where turnout is lower, but acknowledges that large-scale ballot harvesting requires money, volunteers, organization, and paid effort. He also notes that the Colorado Republican Party does not currently have much money, making fundraising and organizational rebuilding essential. The Opt-Out Issue and Republican Primaries A major focus of the interview is Colorado's opt-out issue, tied to the party's ability to opt out of open primaries and return more candidate selection power to Republican caucus and assembly participants. Harvey says he has been on the front line helping push opt-out efforts and would not have supported Steiner if Steiner were not aligned with him on that issue. He says Steiner opposed Proposition 108 when it was on the ballot and believed the party should opt out as quickly as possible. Harvey argues that establishment figures have used open primaries to influence Republican nominations and keep conservatives from winning. Party Debt, Legal Bills, and Donor Confidence Chuck and Julie also ask about party finances, debt, and legal bills left from the previous administration. Harvey says donors were reluctant to give money while the party appeared focused on legal battles and internal fights rather than electing Republicans. He says Steiner's first task will be to understand the lawsuits, invoices, and financial obligations facing the party. Harvey believes that if donors see competent leadership and assurance that money will go toward winning elections instead of paying attorneys, they may begin contributing again. Neutral Leadership and Avoiding the Enemy List The hosts discuss internal party fights, including what they describe as “enemy lists” and attacks on grassroots conservatives under prior party leadership. Harvey says Steiner will not create an enemy list and will not use the chairmanship to put his thumb on the scale in primaries. While Chuck and Julie express interest in seeing some establishment Republicans challenged, Harvey argues that the chair should not personally drive primary attacks. Instead, he says the state party should focus on making the process fair and preventing establishment forces from tilting the playing field against conservatives. The RNC, NRCC, and Future Assemblies Harvey says the Republican National Committee and national Republican groups will need to decide whether to work with the Colorado GOP if the party moves forward with opt-out. He argues that Steiner's temperament may help because Steiner is not a bomb-thrower, but someone focused on doing the work. Harvey says the party will need to prepare for a very different nomination process, including state, county, state House, and state Senate assemblies where Republican activists and caucus participants will have far more influence in selecting nominees. Tina Peters Released from Custody After the Ted Harvey interview, Chuck and Julie turn to the release of Tina Peters, who was freed that morning. They discuss her interview with Steve Bannon, where she said she remained concerned about election machines and vote-flipping claims. Chuck and Julie criticize media descriptions that characterize Peters as being imprisoned for “election fraud,” arguing that the actual charges related to official misconduct, impersonation, and attempts to influence a public servant. They also criticize Republicans and Democrats who opposed her release, while noting that Governor Jared Polis may have had political reasons for granting relief. Colorado Politics, Jared Polis, and Party Divisions The hosts speculate about Governor Jared Polis's motives, including whether his decision regarding Tina Peters may be connected to future national ambitions. They also discuss divisions within Colorado politics, the role of county clerks, and the divide between grassroots Republicans and establishment figures. Chuck argues that the state may eventually become ready for a real alternative to Democratic governance if economic and political conditions continue to decline, though he also acknowledges that opt-out alone will not guarantee statewide Republican victories. Media Humor, Spencer Pratt, and Campaign Messaging The episode later shifts into commentary on media, campaign ads, and political humor. Chuck and Julie discuss Spencer Pratt's Los Angeles mayoral campaign messaging and praise a satirical ad portraying left-leaning media outlets as a kind of ideological treatment. They argue that humor can be powerful political messaging when it is funny because it contains truth. The hosts contrast this style with Republican messaging they see as less creative, saying conservatives could benefit from sharper, more intelligent humor. CBS, CNN, Barry Weiss, and Legacy Media The hosts also comment on legacy media upheaval, including reports involving Barry Weiss, CBS/60 Minutes figures, Scott Pelley, Anderson Cooper, CNN, and possible changes in major network leadership. Chuck and Julie frame these developments as signs that old media institutions are losing influence and that some longtime media personalities may not understand how much the media landscape has changed. Their broader point is that legacy outlets can no longer assume the same level of audience control or cultural authority they once had. Closing Thoughts on the Colorado GOP's Future Chuck and Julie close by saying they believe Craig Steiner's leadership could help stabilize and revitalize the Colorado Republican Party, especially if the opt-out process moves forward. They describe him as a calmer, more practical chair who may not be as combative as past figures but may be better suited to rebuilding party structure. The episode ends with optimism that the party may be moving toward a more grassroots-driven future, even while acknowledging that organization, money, unity, and candidate quality will still determine whether Republicans can win.

The quiet part of New Mexico politics is over. Mark and Krysty dig into the Republican race for governor as it starts to heat up, using the most revealing moments from a Legacy Church candidate forum where each contender gets a true “hot seat” question. We listen to the toughest hits, then break down what the answers actually mean in a primary where sound bites travel faster than context, and where the general election story is already being written. We unpack Doug Turner's response to criticism over COVID-era funding and why a defensible explanation can still become a devastating attack line. We also look at Greg Hull's fundraising problem, the hard math of campaign money, and the uncomfortable question every candidate eventually faces: do you have the fire in the belly to take incoming shots and still win? From there, we react to Duke Rodriguez's explanation for donating to Democrats, plus Turner's decision to lean into Zorro Ranch and the Epstein headlines as an accountability message. Then we zoom out to the national battlefield: an NRCC polling memo that suggests New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District could be closer than people think, and a redistricting and gerrymandering arms race playing out in places like Tennessee and Virginia. We close with a sobering YouGov poll on political violence and why leaders have to draw a clear line before the numbers get worse.Subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a rating and review. Chuck And Julie Show with Chuck Bonniwell and Julie Hayden Eric Grossman on the State of the Colorado GOP and Trumps White House Correspondents dinner Brita Horn's final act before she resigned in disgrace as CO GOP Chair was to secretly go to court and mislead a judge into ordering that her personal attorney was owed $231,000 dollars and starting Friday can simply seize it out of Party bank accounts. Vice Chair Eric Grossman on how we are fighting back. Plus while Secret Service was dealing with an attempted assassination, journalists were stealing wine off the tables at the White House Correspondents dinner. This episode of The Chuck and Julie Show features an urgent discussion with Eric Grossman, Acting Chair of the Colorado Republican Party, regarding a dire financial "poison pill" left by the outgoing leadership. The conversation also covers the legal battle to close Colorado's primary elections and a scathing critique of security failures and media bias following a recent assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The Colorado GOP Financial Crisis The Colorado Republican Party is currently facing an existential threat described as a "corporate poison pill." Outgoing chair Brita Horne and her personal attorney, Steve Klenda, allegedly reached a secret $231,000 settlement—a confessed judgment—just hours before her resignation. This settlement, which includes a staggering 18% interest rate, allows Klenda the legal authority to seize the party's bank accounts. Acting Chair Eric Grossman and hosts Chuck and Julie characterize this as a "fricking disaster" and "ethically reprehensible," suggesting the move was a calculated attempt to bankrupt the party and render it ineffectual for the upcoming election cycle. Grossman noted that despite repeated requests, the executive committee was never provided with invoices for these legal fees, and the party currently holds minimal assets to cover such a debt. The Legal Battle for Closed Primaries Beyond financial woes, the party is embroiled in a legal fight to close the Republican primary (Prop 108). Grossman argues that the current open primary system allows unaffiliated voters and even committed Democrats to "dilute" the Republican choice, citing data from Arapahoe County where a significant percentage of primary ballot requests came from voters who also participate in Democratic contests. The show critiques "establishment" Republicans and the NRCC for opposing this move, framing the struggle as a fight for the party's right to define its own identity and select its own candidates without outside interference. National Security Failures and Media Bias The discussion shifts to the assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, highlighting a massive security lapse where the suspect was able to assemble a weapon in a hotel foyer due to a lack of bag checks and sweeps. The hosts express disbelief at the "journalistic malpractice" following the event, specifically criticizing reporters for "looting" wine from the venue while the Secret Service dealt with the threat. Furthermore, they condemn Norah O'Donnell's 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump, where she read the shooter's manifesto—which included labels like "pedophile" and "rapist"—back to Trump, a move he labeled "disgraceful." The Colorado GOP finds itself at a crossroads, battling what leadership describes as internal sabotage and external legal pressures. While the financial situation is critical, Acting Chair Eric Grossman remains defiant, urging the "grassroots" to maintain belief as they fight to "save the party from extinction."

Rallies held in Beacon and across U.S. In "No Kings" rallies in Beacon, New York City and around the country on Saturday (March 28), crowds protested the war in Iran and President Donald Trump's policies and actions. In St. Paul, Minnesota, Bruce Springsteen and other speakers praised residents for taking to the streets in opposition to the tactics of U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement. Springsteen performed "Streets of Minneapolis," a song he wrote in response to the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal agents. Before Springsteen took the stage, organizers played a video in which actor Robert DeNiro said he wakes up every morning depressed because of Trump but was happier Saturday because millions of people were protesting. The bill also included singer Joan Baez, actor Jane Fonda, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and a long line of activists, labor leaders and elected officials. Organizers estimated that the first round of No Kings rallies, in June, drew more than 5 million people nationwide, followed by 7 million in October. This week they said they expected 9 million participants at more than 3,100 events. White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson characterized the rallies as the product of "leftist funding networks" with little real public support. The "only people who care about these Trump derangement therapy sessions are the reporters who are paid to cover them," she said in a statement. The National Republican Congressional Committee was also sharply critical. "These Hate America Rallies are where the far-left's most violent, deranged fantasies get a microphone," NRCC spokesperson Maureen O'Toole said. Beacon photos by Gary Ditlow Organizers said two-thirds of registrations for the rallies came from outside of major urban centers, including in communities in conservative-leaning states like Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, South Dakota and Louisiana, as well in electorally competitive suburbs in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona. Beacon photos by William Flamholtz Demonstrations were also planned in more than a dozen other countries, according to Ezra Levin, a co-executive director of Indivisible, a group spearheading the events. In countries with constitutional monarchies, people call the protests "No Tyrants," he said. Todd Richmond and John Hanna contributed reporting.

He also recently received the NRCC's endorsement as part of a select group of candidates in key battleground districts. With Arizona's 1st Congressional District seen as a key battleground for control of the House, Feely shares what he's hearing from voters on the ground—rising concern over border security, illegal immigration, election integrity, and the economy. Beyond politics, Feely discusses his journey from the NFL to public service and lays out his vision for tackling Washington's spending problem. From cutting waste and fraud to exploring blockchain as a tool for real-time transparency in government spending, he argues that Americans are demanding accountability—and not getting it. This week on CounterSpin: An email we got this week tells us: “The radical left is up in arms about DOGE. Just think about it — DOGE has exposed BILLIONS in wasteful spending, and is rooting out fraud and corruption at every turn. They're making the government work for the people of this great nation once again, as the founders intended, and that is why the left simply can't stand DOGE.” The ask is that we fill out a survey that represents “our once-in-a-lifetime chance to slash the bloated, woke and wasteful policies in the federal government. Thank you, and God Bless, Speaker Mike Johnson. (Paid for by the NRCC and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.)” Reports are that Elon Musk is leaving government, going back to make Tesla great again or something. But if that's true, why did we get this weird, sad email? We'll talk about how to miss Musk when he won't go away with Jeff Hauser, executive director of the Revolving Door Project. The New York Times has its stories on the Boeing “non-prosecution agreement” in the “Business” section, suggesting that whether planes drop out of the sky is mostly a concern for investors. A huge corporation paying money to dodge criminal charges is evidently not a general interest story. And the families and friends of the hundreds of people dead because of Boeing's admittedly knowing malfeasance? They're just another county heard from. If you want reporting that calls crimes “crimes,” even if they're committed by corporations, you need to look outside of corporate media. This week on Ring of Fire! Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced immediate retaliatory tariffs against the United States following the tariffs that Trump put in place on Tuesday of this week. The Canadian tariffs will cover roughly $155 billion worth of goods coming from our country, and that's just the beginning. Canada also has the ability to completely cut off most of our oil supply as well as the ability to cut power to millions of homes in the United States, which they are also threatening to do. Donald Trump has now cancelled the 1st Amendment on college campuses across the country by proclaiming on Truth Social that the government would immediately stop funding any university that allowed an “illegal protest” to take place, and the students would be expelled and possibly deported if they participated in one of these “illegal” events. Protests in this country are absolutely not illegal, thanks to the 1stAmendment, and Trump is setting up a Constitutional showdown that could severely destroy Freedom of Speech in this country. Minnesota Governor, and former Vice Presidential candidate, Tim Walz has told constituents in his state that if their Republican Representatives aren't brave enough to talk to them, then he will be more than happy to come and talk. The NRCC has officially told Republicans to STOP doing town hall events, leaving voters with no way to air their grievances about the Party's decisions. Walz is showing what leadership looks like, and this is EXACTLY what the entire Democratic Party needs to be doing right now. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

In a scene that rivaled 'The Red Wedding' episode of Game of Thrones, a special meeting of the Colorado Republican state central committee on Saturday ousted sitting chair Dave Williams, vice chair Hope Scheppelman, and secretary Anne Ferguson by an overwhelming majority vote of 161.66 to 12 (some members and proxies get fractional votes). The committee then selected Eli Bremer to assume the position of chair, with Brita Horn being named vice chair. Williams has contested the legitimacy of the meeting, but the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) recognized the leadership change in a letter addressed to the state party. Eli joins Dan to discuss the weekend's events.Dick Wadhams joins Dan with reaction to this weekend's upheaval in Colorado GOP leadership, with Dave Williams, Hope Scheppelman, and secretary Anna Ferguson all being voted out of office by the state central committee in a meeting Williams calls 'illegal' and 'fraudulent.' Where does it go from here?

Congressman Richard Hudson is the Chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee. When it comes to maintaining, preserving and conserving the things we hold dear, having the right representatives and lawmakers in Congress is a vital element. For the first 2 years of his presidency President Trump was able to pass legislation through Congress and get things done for the American people. When the majority changed and Democrats, under Nancy Pelosi, held the majority it was a different story. A perpetual impeachment story and a January 6th stain on Trump's presidency. Today the Chair of the NRCC is with me to discuss the current majority of 4 Republican lawmakers and how to keep and expand upon that. Rep. Hudson discusses the recruiting process and finding the best person for the job. Currently there are 5 districts that President Trump carried but had Democrats elected to Congress, each district has very strong contenders hoping to flip the representative to Republican. The NRCC has a battle station program to promote campaign branding, and to encourage early voting with swing voters. Join Jim and Greg as they bring you two good martinis along with a crazy one that's also pretty good. First, they applaud the House GOP and National Republican Congressional Committee for being on offense during the debt ceiling fight and having more effective messaging on this issues than any time in recent memory. They also take note of the long list of legislative victories that Gov. Ron DeSantis and Florida lawmakers piled up this year, and how it will serve as a springboard into a DeSantis White House bid. Finally, they get a kick out of some Florida Dems trying to recruit former NBA stars Grant Hill and Dwyane Wade into running for U.S. Senate next year. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.comUse code MARTINI to get 10% off your purchase.

Saturday Night Live accidentally tells the truth about the cult of so-called “transgenderism.”Meet one of Satan's architects in the fallen Country of Washington, Marko Liias. Here, Marko pretends along with the NY-Times that conservatives simply made-up the issue of so-called “transgenderism” while they were out shopping for wedge issues. Marko also pretends so called “trans” rights don't hurt anyone; women in prison being raped by men disagree, people attacked with an axe by a man seemingly upset his Tinder date realized he was a man, or the families of the people murdered in Nashville who are being told the motive of that woman who thought she was a man is “unclear”, despite the massive amount of writing she did and manifesto she wrote. This is the cult-mind we battle and the top-down, billionaire-funded psyop we fight. Gladly, God had already won and we get to fight with him to rescue as many people from Marko and the other gender jackers. Imagine my shock, then, when Saturday Night Live accidentally explained the truth about the utterly made-up, meaningless, black-magic word “transgender” and how it bluescreens people's minds. It's not bluescreening, it's blackmailing that appears to have caused professional Republicans at the NRCC to disappear a fundraiser critical of Bud-Light, and now has other Republicans--sadly, including some on Team Trump--telling us to stop boycotting Budweiser. In reality, this changes nothing as the NRCC hasn't done a thing to stop the cult of gender-denial and will not. What does God say? The Apostle Paul warned us about times such as these, where people reject sound teaching. Loving our neighbor--and, though it's hard--our enemy means we will not stop teaching and preach truth just as Paul explains. 2 Timothy 4:1-5In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. Not everyone will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. It seems clear to me the people who seek to destroy children and families cannot hope to avoid Hell unless they immediately repent. Revelation 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”Matthew 7:21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' Here is a SNL sketch, utterly humorless of course, but very instructive on how to lose every single argument about mutilating kids. NY-TIMES: How a Campaign Against Transgender Rights Mobilized Conservatives; Defeated on same-sex marriage, the religious right went searching for an issue that would re-energize supporters and donors. The campaign that followed has stunned political leaders across the spectrum.GOP Quietly Backs Off Attacking Bud Light—Its Own Major DonorJUST NOW AT FOUR SEASONS IN LA.: James O'Keefe Questions @budlight's Dylan Mulvaney on OMG Jailhouse footage showing women inmates testifying on being housed with male rapists claiming to be transgender.Byron York: Nashville mass killer Audrey Hale left behind 'cellphones and laptops, as well as a suicide note, three folders and 19 journals.' Instead of hinting that the motive 'remains unclear,' why don't police just release the evidence? 'Bad Thoughts': so-called “Trans” Teacher Canned for Wanting to Shoot Students[So-called] “Trans” woman attacked 3 strangers with an axe after being shamed by her [read: HIS] date; Before the attack, she [read; HE] wrote her [read: HIS] transphobic date [read: man who isn't same-sex attracted], "One day I'm going to kill a lot of people… For hating something so innocent."This week in Bahrain the Navy told sailors that they talk to their children at age 12 about gender identity, sex, STD's, pregnancy, etc. without notifying parents. Join Jim and Greg as they highlight the National Republican Congressional Committee ads against swing district House Democrats. This comes after 173 Dems opposed legislation seeking to overturn the Washington, D.C. City Council's soft on crime policies. They also appreciate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis making it clear he does not support legislation requiring political bloggers to register with the state government and note how hysterical leftists in the media are getting about a possible DeSantis presidential candidacy. Finally, they push back at White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre's attempts to suggest anything about fentanyl is at record lows at our southern border. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4patriots.comNever get caught in the dark.
